Based on reviews I contacted Star. Bulent was responsive and we made an appt. He texted me to let me know he was on the way and arrived on time. He was super nice and professional. I had called about one lock in particular which he took apart, figured out the problem and fixed. I then asked him to work on a few other locks which were very difficult to operate. He figured out what was wrong for each and fixed them. Then my husband asked him to put a lock on a basement door that goes to our bulkhead - Bulent explained the options and prices to us as my husband originally asked for a deadbolt. We ended up with a sliding lock that was a lot less expensive and served the same purpose. His price for all this was very reasonable and he was super nice and professional. After closing on our new home, everyone immediately said to change the locks. I messaged Star after seeing their outstanding reviews and a swift response from Bulent had us scheduling an appointment. He arrived and was extremely professional, the entire job (6 locks) done in about 30 minutes. Before leaving he noticed our main entrance had some wonky screws inserted which was hurting the doorframe. He asked if he could address it and in the blink of an eye, had new screws in and the door shuts perfectly. Bulent was amazing! He gave me a quote over the phone. Came to rekey my locks when convenient for me and even fixed one of the locks that was not installed properly. Our interior front door which we do not have a key for was accidentally locked and Murphy's law took over. The ancient inside door knob/spindle failed and we could not open it no matter what we tried. I called Star Locksmith and he came out the same day. With in 5 min the door was open, within 45 the faulty parts were fixed and a new lock "with keys" was installed. Bulent was very nice, friendly and professional. Bulent is a skilled and honest locksmith. My first interaction was a bunch of communication early on where he gave suggestions and pricing without me needing to ask. He even gave suggestions on how I could save a few bucks. I ended up with a Grade 2 security doorknob and deadbolt system for a couple exterior doors. Once parts came in, scheduling the install was quick and he arrived in his mobile install vehicle and got to work. I even added on one additional lock and he accommodated. Later I found out my neighbor had approached him and asked for a key copy and he did it for him as a favor. Just goes to show this is an honest business owner who goes the extra mile, literally. He traveled from Woburn (I think?) to Methuen, braving rush hour traffic. communication throughout the whole process, including install day, was constant and appreciated.
