Called for an apartment lockout. A contractor arrived within 20 or so minutes and had the door unlocked in under 5 minutes. Total lifesaver!

I would give Sherlock Lock 6 GOLD STARS if I could! This was the second time I used Sherlock Lock. They were so great before that I didn't even bother to contact anyone else. My wife's car key died; even after replacing the battery, it was still dead. "AK" from Sherlock ordered the replacement and came exactly when he said he would. This is what a professional locksmith should be: efficient, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and FAST!! read more

Back in August I wrote a stellar review for this business. They provided timely service, all within about two hours, after I had dropped and broken my (old-fashioned) car key fob. I was delighted and originally rated them as excellent. About a month after I wrote my original review, my key fob stopped working properly. Turned out that the battery was not fully charged and I needed to replace it at my own cost. Unfortunately, we could not work out a way for him to send me a check or drop by to reimburse me. As a result, I have taken down my rating from excellent to good. read more

Honestly, they are really horrible with communication. I called a week ago and set up a time to have them come to do a remote on my vehicle. The day comes, and I don't hear anything from the guy I spoke to, so I messaged him at the time he was supposed to be there, to which I got back, " I can't make it, sorry. I'm stuck. With kids, sorry." I took the time off from work to meet him and didn't even get the respect of communicating he couldn't make it beforehand. The only reason I got a response was because I reached out to him. I tried communicating multiple times and was left unread. So I called again, and the woman took down my information again and said that the tech would get in touch with me. Shocker, no one ever did. I reached out to the original guy in hopes he was the one, as I really need to get this remote. He said, "I'll do it." Perfect, great. Day comes, and I messaged him in the morning to verify before I left work early again. He sent me someone else's name and number of the tech that would be doing it. So I reached out to the new guy and verified he could be there for 3 p.m. He said he could, and he actually showed up early, which I felt bad because I wasn't home right when he got there, but even he said I should have gotten a discount for making me wait so long to have this service done, but they weren't having that. I get life comes up, but lack of professionalism and courtesy is unacceptable. Being left unread and ignored for days when I was asking to have a service they provide done is just wrong. Luis was prompt and super fast, but the rest of the experience with this company was unprofessional and lacking basic human courtesy. To update my review, they had Luis messaging me to remove my review because he was worried they would fire him for a bad review, even though I specifically mentioned him being the only good part of this experience. I told him that I was going to leave my review as it wasn't against him; it was against the company for their poor handling of my situation and their lack of professionalism. I said if they would like to call me to talk to me about it, that would be completely fine. Well, they did, and the man I originally spoke with kept telling me I should remove my review because, "things happen" and I should understand. When I told him that Luis was the only good part of the interaction and that my review would remain up, he became aggressive and said, "I hope you get what is coming to you." I have never in my life had a company be so unprofessional and not only not try to fix the issue but bully me into removing my review, then take it out on the employee who actually did their job correctly. Luis had messaged me to tell me that they laid him off from the company due to bad performance. 1- That is absolutely ridiculous as he was the ONLY good part of this entire situation. 2- It is absolutely absurd to have an employee messaging a customer to have reviews taken down or changed. Have a better business practice, and you won't receive bad reviews. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves to retaliate against a good employee for their poor business practices and unprofessionalism. read more

I had lost my car keys. Contacted dealerships, but there was a long wait, they wanted me to tow the car there and the cost was triple of what SherlockLock quoted me. I specifically looked up for Toyota certified locksmiths. SherlockLock drove to me in snow -- they were prompt, accommodating, great communicators. They did a great job. I have the key that works and can access my car again! I am so grateful to Luis and Rick! Excellent work! Thank you. read more

I had a wonderful experience with SherlockLock! Luis and his associate were extremely professional and went above and beyond. They communicated their arrival time and updated me on their timing, it took them less than 20 minutes to make new keys for y Jeep Wrangler, and their pricing is very affordable. Cannot recommend this business and specifically the technician Luis enough! read more

Extremey professional locksmith. I had lost a fob for my car. The technician came within 24 hours of me first contacting him, right at the time he said he would. It was a complicated job, as the Toyota could not be programmed by an mail order programming device. Two fobs were made and keys cut for a price that was less than half what Toyota would have charged. The technician did all the work in under one hour and everything worked perfectly. I would highly recommend Shee\rlock Lock to anyone requiring a locksmith. read more

So responsive and when I was so stressed being locked out he was super reassuring and knowledgeable and quick! Highly recommend

The customer service was extremely unsatisfactory. The tall(big) gentleman was unprofessional and communicated rudely. He charged $100 to remove a stuck key, even though it took less than three minutes. His aggressive demeanor was concerning. I would not recommend this company, as it seems staff training in professionalism is needed. He slammed the entrance door as he was leaving!! read more

Don't use this company, they don't tell you that it's $109.00 for just showing up, had a small issue with my key for my ignition, he put some oil in it and banged the the ignition with a hammer and it literally took him five minutes to, he wanted $190.00 dollars for the job, what a ripoff this company is read more

Totally recommended. Reasonably priced. The Rep came in a vehicle with "Sherlock Lock" on the side. Very professional and knowledgeable. Took literally 5 minutes to cut the key. The programming was another thing: about an hour, but he didn't give up. I tested the key every which way and it is an identical copy of the original, sans the car emblem. Very satisfied. read more

My nephew locked himself out while housesitting for us. Arno responded within minutes of my posting a request here. Gave him my particulars as well as my nephew's details. Didn't take more than 30 minutes for Aron's brother to show up and let my sheepish nephew back into the house. Super professional and understanding, I highly recommend them. I needed a set of spare keys for a used car and after setting up an 3:00pm appointment for the duplication of my single key and FOB, the locksmith, AK stopped only to find that I had provided an incorrect description of the key/FOB. Undeterred, AK had another appointment and indicated he could stop and get the correct key/FOB blank and return after his next appointment at 7:00pm if it was still convenient for me. He returned and completed the work in very cold temperatures out on the street where my car was parked. He was professional and made the whole procedure a complete success. We talked as he worked, and he was a delight to interact with. After making 2 spare keys, he checked that they both worked and then had me check and make sure they worked flawlessly. He was a great locksmith and a real pleasure to work with. He also provided his cell phone number and indicated I could call him if there was any future problem with the keys. Overall, this was the best service I have experienced in Boston. I'd recommend them and particularly AK, their locksmith to anyone needing car keys or any other locksmithing. read more
