This is by far the absolute worst vendor I have ever dealt with for anything, but especially for a locksmith. I called and asked for a quote to put a pin pad on the front door of our building. I have called half a dozen times, and texted them multiple times. I never even received a quote. I shouldn't have reached out as many times as I did, but I figured I would give them a break, maybe they are busy, or shorthanded? Rich was very friendly on the phone, and responsive, but Rick must be the owner or manager and the only one who can do quotes. Rich would respond to my texts and calls and say he was forwarding them to Rick. They had more than enough chances to at least give me a quote. I was in need of a 2nd key for my car. I went to so many places to get this key made, and no one could this for me. I went to the woburn Mall and saw the Locks & keys place. I went in there thinking they were not going to be able to do this for me. The manager assured me that he could make this key with no problem. I cant remember his name, but he was wonderful. He gave me the key, and he told me to go start my car. It worked, and i was thrilled. I went to 10 different places and no one could do what he did. I also needed a new car remote starter and he offered to set up that appointment for me as they come right to my house. I said my work schedule was crazy this week so I would call and he gave me the business card. I wanted to give him a tip and he said no. He is an asset to this company. I told him he made my day. This place is in a little mall with Market basket, T J Maxx, and Home Sense. I will recommend this place to everyone. He gave me outstanding customer service. My key to my business broke in old commercial lock that's been giving me and a fellow tenant issues over the past few months. Today it finally ate my key. I needed to get a copy of my apartment key made, the key itself opens two different doors, and one locksmith I went to said "in 26 years I have never seen a key like this ever before. Sorry". I scoured the internet, emailed Locks and Keys and they called me back almost immediately. The gentleman was incredibly nice on the phone and made sure to ask questions BEFORE making me drive out to him. I went to the Woburn mall, where he not only made the key (which works better than the key I got from my apartment complex), quite quickly and for a VERY resonable price, he told me if I had any issues to bring it back and he would cut me a new key for no additonal charge!! Useful to be able to do simple key in the shopping mall, can shop when waiting. However, car key programming is not handled there but by a 'travel' person. Their price for key programming is higher than dealership. It's borderline ridiculous. For a new key + programming + cut, I got for quote: - Toyota 2014 Highlander: $349 - Dodge 2010 Journey: $285 Well, compare their price with buying 2 Dodge Key Fob on Ebay cost: $14 and the dealership in Woburn charge $75 to program, and Locks & Keys cut the key for $3... So a total of $92 versus $285. The Toyota Key Fob is harder to find, it cost around $100 on eBay. Programming a key is not an 'art' you just need a tiny computer, you can buy it around $200 to $350, and resell when you don't it anymore... which I did. read more

We've been here twice, once to get a couple key copies, and another time to get key copies that actually work. Well, after two tries with a simple house key, we got keys that sorta work. Not wanting to go back to the store yet again, we thought "good enough." We rarely need the keys - mostly just for out of town guests staying with us. When we got a dog walker, one day the key just got jammed and she couldn't get in (and every day was a hassle). Most of our experience before has been with regular hardware stores. These have been cheaper (though the key blanks are not as good quality as Locks & Keys), and while sometimes they don't work either, it's still cheaper to get 1-2 extra copies just in case. We will not be going back here, as it's just too much hassle. read more

They have been open this entire time and will be moving to a brand new store shortly in the same plaza. Can't wait to check out. As a manager for a local medium-sized business I have had a long-term working relationship with this establishment. Their locksmith service has been reliable and dependable. Everything changed when I needed a personal service for an engraved item. I brought my sister's Christmas gift to them on 12/8/18 and the nice young man said it will be ready in a week. Gave me a price, said pay for it when you pick it up. All Good...NOT. I called after 10 days to check on the progress and was very rudely told by the obviously travelling locksmith who answered the phone that it wasn't ready. I asked how long did he think and he replied, "obviously you don't know anything about engraving." I told him that I was given a one week ETA and while I could wait a little while I would need it by Christmas, did he think it would be ready? He said, "I have no idea." He went on about how the owner has the machine and the bracelet is at his shop but that he would not be able to tell me how long and asked it I wanted to come and pick it up (not engraved). To say that this person was rude is an understatement. So much so that I teared up by the time I hung up. I felt like I was verbally abused. I awaited until the Saturday before Christmas to call again (and I dreaded it). That same man answered and I asked if the bracelet was ready. He said 'nope.' I said may I come and pick it up and he said 'yup.' I asked for the address where the bracelet is so I can come and get it and he said he would bring it back to the Woburn Mall location. So I went there to pick it up and that same man was talking to another mall worker. He saw me there, a customer, and ignored me entirely. Even after the woman left he did not acknowledge me. I finally said Hello, I am the person with the bracelet. He said "name?" I replied with my first name. He said "last name?" As if he did not already know who I was when he ignored me earlier. I replied with my last name and he handed me the box with the bracelet. No words, no sorry, no goodbye, nothing. I did ask if I could speak with the owner at one point in this experience and I was ignored. If the owner would like to follow up with me, I would be open to hearing from him/her. Otherwise I will not ever go back there and I will influence my co-workers and company to avoid this business altogether. Merry Christmas...not. read more

While visiting MA for the day (don't ask me why we chose Woburn for a pit stop it's a long story), I was in Woburn at the Mall when my little one snapped my key inside the lock of my Oldsmobile. While freaking out and trying to remain calm, I found that there was a Locks and Keys inside the mall! The gentleman at the desk (I think his name was Andy) helped me immensely. He had a locksmith come out to the lot, get the damaged key out of the lock and made me a new one in less than an hour. I live in a local disabled housing complex I am disabled I have multiple health issues I came home because I was having a low blood sugar attack found a red van parked in my assigned parking spot I pulled up behind the van beeped my horn like I was told to do the workout was in the van ignored me like girlfriend heard me beeping the horn came to the apartment Window saw the worker in the van he got out of the van she informed him that he was parked in a tenant spot he started yelling at her saying fuck you I'm working here I have a placard at this point I heard him yelling at her I got out of my truck told him he had to move he started screaming at me swearing at me refuse to move I was not feeling too well as time getting worse by the minute I told him I was not going to argue with him I was just going to call the police he said go ahead so I did call the police the dispatcher it was on the phone he did move his van he proceeded to approach me screaming and swearing at me of course I scream back but the dispatcher heard everything he said after he was done screaming he walked away I got back on the phone the dispatcher from the police department told me I should be seeing a police cruiser at any time which I did I told the police officer that I was having a low blood sugar issue and I had to go into my apartment to get my glucose tablets so I don't really know what happened between between the worker and the police but I was definitely would have told the police officer to send an ambulance I was not doing too good at this time if I did have an ambulance take me to the hospital I would have sent the bill the owner of the company very unprofessional their workers should not be yelling streaming swearing at the tenants especially when their In The wrong there was a sign posted tenets parking only it was right in front of my parking spot there was no way he did not see it he just didn't care read more

Previously I visited the location in the mall to get information about changing lock. Once my renovation was over I was able to contact locksmith Zee to get my locks changed quick as a key had been lost. He was very responsive and was able to get someone out to my place the next morning. The person who showed up however didn't have the right equipment and had to leave for over an hour.
