Patty Silvester is awesome. She has been impressively responsive throughout our shopping experiences. Sent a customer to pick out pavers... he walked out with an almost brand new outdoor kitchen!!! (Although, his wife's eyes looked like they could shoot lasers ha!) that is... until he told her he got EVERYTHING, the grill, mini fridge, cabinetry etc all for $4k!!! (When retail, was about $11k!!) The pavers were great too. And BYL even delivered them down the narrow south end alleyway between abutting brownstones which was rediculously stressful. I thought my jaw was going to fall off. We couldn't even get pick up trucks down there! They brought a forklift on the back of the delivery truck, zipped right down and dropped the pallet EXACTLY where we needed it!!!! Needless to say, very pleased with our experience. Now, had the 2 previous reviewers had more patience, maybe they wouldn't have spent $20-30k on materials but half that AND SCORED SOME! Oh well, their loss - Our gain! We have since gone on to work with BYL for 4 projects. We have gotten to know the team very well. They are responsive to email, pay attention to detail to make sure that nothing is overlooked and when it comes to renovations-- man, even the smallest detail overlooked can have consequences of EPIC proportions. THEY GET IT. THEY GENUINELY CARE FOR THE CUSTOMER AND MAINTAINING A POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP. Love these guys and until they give us a reason to not, will keep coming back.

We decided on flooring but they needed to send someone to check the subfloor etc. The (I believe owner came out), and started whining how the subfloor was not ready and there would be extra cost. Our builder was there and I was away on business. My wife called me and I had to step out of a function to talk to this guy. I told him we would take care of the subfloor to meet his specs. I spoke to my contractor and within an hour we had a plan. The unprofessional behavior was uncalled for and in the end, when they came out to tile, the subfloor was perfect. I won't use this place again.

The office staff were good to work with, and the crew showed up on time. They were as good as I could hope. This was an important job to me, and they were helpful in many ways. They were all likable and friendly people until things went poorly. Then, it *was* done correctly, to spec, as you no doubt told them, and that is how it is just going to be, sir. (except they don't say sir). A couple of things to look out for. they use contractors, not employees to install the floor. more availability, less responsibility. they drop off the floor partly because they are not installing the floor, a contractor is. The quote was slightly padded. First check what needs to be done, there might be stuff on the quote that is just padding. Afterwards, check what was supposed to be done was done. Get another quote. So, you might go elsewhere. The front end is good, but the back end (final floor) is not ideal but probably an average job. An average floor might be good enough for you. It will have to be good enough for me. I will look down on this floor and Peck's work for a long time.

I couldn't believe he actually did that ! Took him a bit to get it done, but he did ! Plus, today, he texted the landlord for the key code so he is going to get me a new copy & bring it to me later! Very disappointed in the service from this company. I had called them as they were recommended by…read moreour realtor when we moved to area. They take ages to order parts and when they finally had the parts and installed the new locks, they damaged the wood on both door frames. I will have to have a contractor out to repair both door frames with filler and paint :(. Not only that, but the actual locks are problematic on 2 (out of 5) of the doors they worked on. The deadbolt and the housing the deadbolt slides into when the door is locked do not line up. The only way to lock the doors is to physically pull the door forward, and lock it while holding the door in that position. Save yourself the frustration and cost of repairing the damage they will do to your house. I recommend you find another locksmith.
