We had a deadbolt stuck in our door frame after trying to remove it ourselves we were left with a hole in the door from where the cylinder was. Hayden ruined my key, and I'm out $32. I spent $32 on a key blank for my motorcycle. Hayden ruined it in two minutes. As a result, I now have to spend another $32 and wait another four weeks for a replacement. That'll be a total of $64 (plus labor!) for one replacement key. These folks are helpful, personable, and honest... and their ballpark pricing estimate was very affordable. I'll definitely call them again, when any other security needs arise. My story: I needed a 2nd key smart key made for a used vehicle I'd purchased at auction, that came with only 1 key. The nearest local licensed manufacturer dealer estimated the costs of a new key and fob at $400-500, including programming. Just crazy.When a friend recommended Hayden Lock, I called them. Hayden said the OEM fob with an uncut key ran about $180 for my vehicle, and he estimated my total costs to be about $250-260, after he finished the programming he needed to do to make it work. During the brief bit of time Hayden was working up a written estimate for me, the auction house called, saying they'd come across the vehicle's 2nd smart key, which they'd forgotten to give me when they delivered the vehicle. I got lucky, in that I didn't need to have another key made, but if I ever do, I know I'll be definitely be calling Hayden Lock and Safe. read more

I was locked out of my apartment recently, Yes it was !:00am, yes I woke someone up,$200.00 for less than 2 minutes to get in? Yes the owner did give me $50 off but the way I feel is I was a first time customer I should of been charged maybe $75.00, I would of given this man a tip $25.00. I feel like I have been taken advantage of and yes we all need to make a living but to the expense of a customer? This did not settle well and I will not be one of the valued customers! It did teach me a valuable lesson, bring an extra key on my person! If I was in business I would of given a break, to a new customer, so they would of come back as a valued customer. Let me begin by saying that I can't believe that these guys don't have four thousand excellent reviews on Yelp. I left a key outside for a friend and the key disappeared. Immediately I got scared, thinking some thieves had stolen the key. I had a super busy day, and figured I'd just call Hayden and let them come save me. But the gentleman I spoke to said that I could choose to pay $85 for a house call, or $10 to have the lock re-keyed if I could remove the lock and bring it to them. I said NO WAY I'm going to take a screwdriver to this lock and break it. I really need this lock to work. BUT, he said he would stay on the phone and give me directions. Can you believe this? Lo and behold, following his expert directions, "all thumbs" me had that lock out and I was on my way over to Hayden, having saved $75. In minutes they had it all fixed and also cut me multiple copies of the key (which I swear I will never leave outside again--promise!) in no time. So, I got back to the door in question and by this time it's just after five PM. I had caught them near closing time, due to my aforementioned busy day. I attempted to re-install the lock but somehow I messed it up. I called Hayden and got the answering service who told me someone would call me back. Meanwhile I was freezing in my doorway struggling with installing this lock . They called me back in minutes, again with the same calm, "Everything's going to be OK" attitude. Well by this time I figured out what I was doing wrong, got the lock to work and voila! No more stress. The lock worked perfectly. Not only that, but I potentially foiled some thieves, acquired some new mad lock taking out and re-installing skills, and all this for ten bucks. Thank you Hayden Safe and Lock. Called Hayden lock on Monday to set up an appointment for Thursday. Not a problem. Asked for quote, gave it to me. Others told me can't give any pricing until see the job. I had lost a key to my post office box at my condo. The property management people in my building reccommended Hayden. I called and explained my situation. I received a callback saying they could be there the next day. I informed them I worked in Boston so the earlier the better. The technician said he would be there promptly at 8. As luck would have it I found my key. It was after 7pm at night and called Hayden. I got the answering service and let them know there was no need to have the technician come out.
