I was locked out of my apartment after flying back from LA. I was able to get in contact with them quickly and they had someone here to help in under 40 minutes. Very fair price as well! read more

I was locked out of my condo and went to yelp to look up a locksmith. Mike got right back to me and sent Alex in 25 minutes who was soooo nice and got the door open in minutes. They charged a reasonable price given they can really get any amount of money because getting back into your home is a necessity. I will contact them again if I need this kind of service. There is no need to use anyone else. Highly recommend. read more

adam was super hero came fast helped me out to get my apartment door open great company thank you guys

Great fast service - fixed door lock late at night. Responded immediately and arrived within 30 min.

Found out at 5am this morning my pet sitter had locked my only key in my apartment so I called these guys at 5:30am saying I was driving home from NJ and had a 9:30am ETA. I asked if they could meet me at my apartment at 10am which they confirmed. It's now 12:30 and they have not picked up a single phone call.... Clearly they're just not coming. Don't confirm a time if you're not going to be there and definitly don't ignore phone calls for hours if you're just going to leave someone waiting. They have had 7 hours to figure it out. I used the number listed on Google and it seems like it may have been a dispatch center. Not sure if my message ever even got to this business, but any time I tried the 617 number to check the status it was ignored with no option to leave a VM. read more

Your Neighborhood Locksmith - That's the number listed and called. - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me

Quick to arrive, professional, friendly, easy to work with. When you're locked out, he's the guy to call.

My key broke off in the door and they were here within 30mins and fixed the problem. I'd definitely use them again.

I contacted the company about a lock repair. They sent someone to come take a look and gave a recommendation and said they would need to order parts, with an estimate of two weeks wait time for delivery. After 3-4 weeks of not hearing from them, I messaged them to check, however never heard back from them (message was in writing and confirmed as read). I ultimately opted for a different company that was excellent in timing and communication, and had a few additional locks serviced as well. I wouldn't recommend this company as they really weren't reliable or clear in the plan, and personally just wasted time. read more

Excellent quick service in a pinch on a Sunday night! The technician was very skilled and handled the locks smoothly without any damage read more

Dimitri was super helpful and punctual - did a great job and explained each step as he was doing it! Would highly recommended!!

Answered my midnight call and arrived within 30 minutes to unlock my guest bedroom door (which had been closed while the lock was engaged but no one was inside). I was unable to get a hold of anyone else at the time who could come when I needed, and they did. It is a different person who answers the phone vs who comes to the door. If speed is your #1 top priority (over affordability), Your Neighborhood Locksmith is a great choice. read more

Prompt assistance and competitive rates. They were not only professional, but very helpful and polite. Other locksmiths in the area are very high pressure, impatient and unprofessional. The technician was very respectful of the condo property and took his time ensuring that the blank keys I purchased from Amazon would work with my vehicle. I'd highly recommend their services. read more

Thank goodness they came to our rescue. Left our car key inside our car after viewing the Franklin Zoo lights. We had called a few other companies to gather pricing, with one company rude enough to yell at us on the phone while trying to charge us $250 before hanging up all because we had a hard time hearing them over the phone!! These guys were super pleasant and easy to talk to. They quoted us for 25 minutes, however, ended up taking almost an hour to arrive due to getting caught up at another job. We appreciated the communication from them regardless and were just happy to gain access to our car so quickly after they arrived! It took about 10 minutes once they arrived, so they were super efficient. Thank you for coming out so late in the evening!! read more

Fast service on my main door, and 3 bedrooms. Great price too. Would definitely use this company again. They even helped fix a damaged door frame quickly and for no additional fee!! read more

Giant shout out to our locksmith Lev. Polite, respectful, kind and did a fantastic job. Would totally recommend the company to others.

If I could go back in time I would never have called Your Neighborhood Locksmith. If you're thinking of using this company, please see Michael's response to my review and other negative reviews. He keeps claiming that I had no money because I had trouble signing into my Venmo account. I still paid him! He offers people who post negative reviews refunds in exchange for changing their reviews to 5 stars. This is against policy. And when it doesn't work he either denies that they were ever a customer, publicly bad mouths them, and harasses them. After a year of doing business with him he started texting and calling me. I had to block him. I'm nervous because he's angry, dishonest, and he has my address..... There was no layaway plan! HE couldn't do debit/credit so I paid cash in FULL the next time his employee was in my area. This man is full of lies and that's all I will say. read more

Serg was incredible. he came early. communicated well. would not leave until the job was done perfectly. 6 stars if i could.

I was in the process of moving half-way across the country when I realized I didn't have the keys to one of my filing cabinets. As I needed a document inside, I contacted Your Neighborhood Locksmith in hopes that they could non-destructively open the locked filing cabinet. I sent them a message via Yelp, and their response was prompt. We later chatted over the phone; I easily scheduled a time for the locksmith to stop by on a Sunday. Then, with less than 30 minutes before my appointment, I was able to locate a copy of the document that I needed. I called to cancel my appointment, and to my surprise, I was able to cancel without any fees, even though the locksmith was already en route to my apartment. Overall, Your Neighborhood Locksmith has top tier customer service and has earned my trust and business. read more

Amazing service. I had an emergency where my cat sitter was locked out of my apartment. I was traveling so I couldn't call them but they were super communicative with text. I was able to get a technician scheduled to meet my cat sitter at 6AM in the morning the next day and they showed up exactly on time. Couldn't thank them enough. My cat now has a sitter being fed well at home thanks to them! read more

I am very pleased with the service. Prompt and professional, Dmitri installed locks in my two offices, and everything works great. And the price was the best I could get out of other companies. I do recommend this company. read more

Lev was very responsive and performed the service first thing in the morning very efficiently. My request was to change the lock to match the key used for another door. He was very polite and took the time to explain what he had to do and why. He even was careful to test the new lock with two different copies of my existing key to ensure everything worked perfectly. The price was very competitive and I'm very happy with the service! I would recommend this company to others needing locksmith services. read more

Michael and Lev were great to work with! They were fast to respond to my inquiry and were able to be at my house with 24 hours. They re-keyed 5 locks for me, and were able to adjust an existing Lock's cylinder to match the other keys. The price seemed fair, and Lev worked quick! I'll definitely be a repeat customer. read more

Fast and friendly service responded quickly and was able to take care of a tricky lock.

The stress of being locked out of my house after a morning run, relieved by Michael and Serge. They responded to my inquiry within 10mins then arrived in 20. I can't even have a pizza delivered that fast. Serge was friendly and quickly got to work from his small seat and little bag. He used two bladders and some sort of wrench and popped it open took minutes. No damage to my door, he then checked make sure no damage to my lock. He was glad to be of service and for my business. After Michael (the owner) called to make sure all went well. I will surely recommend and work with them again to change some locks around the house. Great experience. read more

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Rating changed to one star on Oct 25, 2021 after Michael (owner) made a harassing phone call and started yelling at me like a raging lunatic for giving him a bad ( 2 star) review. I tried to calm him down but it didn't work. He was lecturing me and yelling about karma when I hung up... Stay away at all costs. UPDATE 2: Michale called me again from a different number and called me a piece of sh.. Then sent me text messages (images attached) after I hung up. See below for the original two star review; Called for rekeying service and asked for a quote. They said they can't give a quote until they see it... I later sent full descriptions and close up photos of the locks. Still no quote... In good faith I scheduled an appointment regardless. Some guy showed up later and looked at the locks and quoted an outrageous price that is literally 3x the market price. I dismiss him on the basis that the charge is unreasonable, he says "ok but now you have to pay a service fee because I showed up"!! Long story short no service fee was paid... Most importantly, the next guy I call comes and rekeys four locks for me in less than 20 minutes total and charges the right price. read more

We had a phenomenal experience with Your Neighborhood Locksmith. They were able to swing by within 30 minutes of our initial phone call and ended up updating all of our locks (3+). Not only did Michael update our locks; he made some tweaks so the locks would work way more smoothly and effortlessly, as previously the door and lock hadn't been aligned as well and it took some fiddling to get the deadbolt to turn. Michael noticed the deadbolt didn't turn easily and immediately offered to fix it free of charge. Ultimately this helps us out and reduces wear and tear on our doors and locks. We were incredibly appreciative Michael could come over so quickly (and also really lucky, as he got multiple phone calls while he was with us to service other clients). He had all his equipment on him, so he changed all of the locks within about a half hour; no trips to Lowes or Home Depot needed. He also provided us with a bunch of copies of our keys; saving us the trip to the hardware store to make our own copies. Overall, I'm grateful Michael took a task on my to-do list I'd been procrastinating and and completed it extremely quickly, saving me multiple follow-up errands to buy my own hardware and make copies of my keys. Michael is a really nice guy with a great sense of humor. I highly recommend. read more

I needed 5 locks to match a key for 3 doors. I reached out to multiple locksmiths but am happy that I went with Lev. He is very responsive and was transparent about the cost. I was extremely impressed by Neighborhood Locksmith! We live in a 3 unit condo building and the main entrance lock stopped working at 7pm on a Thursday. I ran to Home Depot to get a new lock, only to realize our door was too thick and we needed a heavy duty commercial grade lock that was hard to find at the store and even more complicated to install. I messaged Neighborhood Locksmith on Yelp late that night and they responded within a couple minutes! They offered to come out first thing in the morning and to either fix the existing lock, if possible, or replace with a new one. They came and discovered we had the entirely wrong kind of non-commercial grade lock on there and that was probably why it broke. Lev, the technician who came, made modifications to our door and installed a brand new heavy-duty commercial grade lock that seems to be much sturdier than the old one. Also, Lev said the installation ended up being much more complicated than initially expected, but he was happy to stick to his original quote and didn't ask for any extra money. My wife says that Lev also seemed like a nice guy, in addition to being a competent locksmith. The owner of Neighborhood Locksmith followed up with me shortly after the job was done to make sure we were satisfied with the results. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience from beginning to end and I am glad we went with this company to fix our door! We'll definitely use them again if we need to. read more

I recently bought a condo and it has the funkiest, hard to lock door I've ever seen. Needless to say I needed help. I found Your Neighborhood Locksmith on Yelp and reached out for a quote. Their office called me back quickly and the woman on the phone was super kind and helpful, scheduling an assessment for a time that worked for my calendar. Then, on the day of the assessment. The office called me to confirm our appointment and the locksmith showed up right on time. (Something I greatly appreciate!) In the end, my door is a lost cause but I appreciate the locksmith's honesty and giving me advice. I definitely recommend them! read more
