Fast and responsive, I was happy with their service. Three door locks reprogrammed and reset in a couple hours or less.

If you get locked out, definitely call this place first! The team here is very responsive and efficient. I found myself without keys outside my apartment on Sunday afternoon frantically scouring the internet for a locksmith. After calling several other places that all went straight to voicemail and either never responded or called back between 15-30 minutes later to say they were booked out, it was so relieving when the call connected immediately for finest locksmith and they said they could send someone right away!  Sure enough, Serge shows up within 20 minutes with all his tools; he is friendly and professional, explained what he was going to do, why, and how much it was going to cost all up front before getting to work. The job was done well, and they accepted credit card payment and provided me with a receipt. read more

I had to get all of the locks on my house changed due to a divorce. I had no idea where to start. I considered buying the locks and doing it myself, but that was going to be a big expensive undertaking. I sent a request into another locksmith who never got back to me. Then, I looked on locksmith.com and saw they had great recommendations. Mike called me back within the hour and was able to schedule a call to come out to my house the next day. He used all quality parts with beautiful attention to detail. Before he even started the work, he broke down all of the expenses for me and made sure I understood what would be involved. He was trustworthy, friendly, and professional. He even insisted I try all of the keys in all of the locks before I paid and he left. My locks are guaranteed for the life of the business and I feel secure! He left me all of his info and said his clients are like his own children - he cares that much! read more

While at a wedding in West Virginia with spotty internet access, I got a call saying relatives at our house in Cambridge could not open the front door. The handle was frozen. It had been increasingly balky, but I wanted to wait to service it when I was having a new lock put on a new door elsewhere in the house. I called a well-known locksmith in Cambridge-Belmont and their message said someone would respond, usually within 15 minutes. After 45 minutes I called Finest Locksmith based on good reviews. I got a call back in a few minutes, Michel said he could have the repair done in an hour. He had the parts to repair the mangled internal parts of the lock, no need to replace the expensive lockset, or get new keys for everyone. Amazing, great service, fair price: $365 for the service call on a Saturday, parts, and labor. read more

Nikolai to the rescue! A business without working lock can not function. It took him an hour to show up after I called, and problem solved in no time. Great Service, nice and reliable guy! read more

Nikolai was amazing, I have locked myself out my apartment on a Friday night doing my laundry, luckily I had my phone with me. He has arrived 15 minutes after I made the call and calmed me down and let me in back to my apartment in no time! Gave me price over the phone and didn't overcharged. Very professional, informative and polite. read more

Service was prompt and the job was completed in a timey manner. My two complaints are that the service fee ($95) was not included in my original quote and when the work was compelted, I found all of the old door knobs, locks, screws and hardware just left out near each site. I understand that there may be a service fee ($95 seems high), but it should have been included in the original quote. As for the old hardware being left around, again this is fine, but it would have been helpful if the technicinan let me know that this was the case. read more

I needed to copy two apartment keys and they charged me $30. Can't get over how expensive it was!!

I'm so incredibly glad I found these guys. They were so kind, generous, and personal with the way they helped me out. If anyone in the Boston area EVER needs a locksmith, go to them. They are seriously out of this world amazing. Long story short, my car key was stuck in the ignition and a different locksmith company botched the job and left me hanging for 5 days with a disassembled steering wheel panel and no key. I called Finest Locksmith and they coached me over the phone and told me they could help me out within one hour. I brought my car to Gennadiy at Finest Locksmith and he reassembled my steering wheel panel, cut me a new key AND a spare key, and charged me $300 LESS than the other locksmith quoted for JUST the key alone. And he did it all within 25 minutes. All in all, I saved $300 and walked away with 2 sets of working car keys. Thank you SO much Gennadiy and Finest Locksmiths!!!! read more

Great service and prompt late on a Friday night. I don't recommend locking yourself out, but if you do, call Nikolay at Finest Locksmith!

I am a senior citizen and based on other locksmith estimates find myself in a situation where a locksmith charged us a fortune, did not provide a receipt with the breakdown of charge and when I called him a few days after work, was done he told me that I will NOT find a locksmith who would have charged me less. Well I did find a locksmith on Angie's List whose estimate is a lot lower. Once I secured the estimate from the Angie's List locksmith I tried to elicit a willingness of Finest Locksmith owner to,speak with me but he did not respond. Is he reputable? His business card email address bounced back. On his website he has two different emails listed. I sent an email and also completed the online contact me form. This is the estimate from a reputable Locksmith listed on Angie's List that I am going by: Service call.....$50 (during regular business hours) Re-key each keyhole......$35 Open lock for attic......$35 Supply new lock for attic....$40+tax Install new lock for attic....$15 I am living on Social Security I come and arefuse to be dismissed and feeling ripped off to the tune of $240. (details below). Is there anything you would suggest that I do other than SMALL Claims Court that is expensive and much too stressful. Details of what I sent to Finest Locksmith are below. Hi Nicolay, I checked with a number of locksmiths listed on Angie's List and the most e pensive one gave this estimate for the work you charged $420. You basically ripped us off. The garage door for which you charged $100 to fix was an even bigger rip off. I wrote a o check to,you for $520 for around one hour of work. Here is what you charged me for which you gave a NOT ITEMIZED receipt. 2 rekeyed locks @$35 = $70 Open lock in attic for which we did not have a key $35 Supply new lock for attic $40 + tax Install new lock in attic $15 .....total $140 Plus service call $50 Fix overhead garage lock handle ?? $40 ...ENTIRE JOB total $230 Entire job should have come to around $230 NOT $520. Finest Locksmith showed up promptly properly masked. Had purchased a locking industrial style credenza that was delivered with a jammed lock. Nikolay approached the problem intelligently. They had installed a high-tech lock a couple of months ago. It did not appear to be working correctly. We called and Mike came over at exactly the time he promised and diagnosed the problem. It was user error on my part. He showed me what I did wrong and made a couple adjustments to the door itself to prevent future problems with the lock and all at NO CHARGE. How cool is that? These folks really stand by their product! read more

Needed a car fob fixed or replaced. This was the right guy for the job. Good service at good price. Thank you!

I called a locksmith in Brookline on a Saturday. They must have referred my call to these people. A young man came to my house and changed two deadbolts and two knob locks and proceeded to completely overcharge me! It was terrible! I was alone in my new house with this man who had the keys to my new locks! He was demanding several hundred dollars for a job that should have cost a fraction of what he was asking! I wish I had called the police. Instead I paid him and have regretted it ever since. read more

Finest Locksmith is Awesome!! Of course, obviously, I was locked out of my apartment. I called Finest Locksmith and they were prompt to answer the phone and take my request. I needed someone to be at my place at 8.30 pm, and they were there just minutes before and were actually waiting for me. When we moved into our new home, our front door lock was already having some problems. The first time, we called a locksmith in the neighborhood who charged us $350 for the visit and fixing the lock temporarily. He told us that eventually, we would have to replace the whole lock system which would cost us $600-700. The temporary fix was broken within a week. Then through our home insurance, we found out about Nikolai. He gave me a 30 min heads up call before arriving and as soon as he arrived, he got right to work. He worked fast and explained that there was no need to replace the whole lock. He was able to fix the front door permanently at the fraction of the price from the first locksmith that came. He also fixed other key holes around the house at a really reasonable price, which I appreciated very much! Overall, along with his excellent service and professionalism, he was very kind and wonderful to work with. Highly recommend him! read more

Finest Locksmith is amazing - I will always call them before anyone else. Nikolay Roubin came over at night when we had an emergency lock-out/deadbolt that wouldn't open, and not only did he do a wonderful job, he was creative, kind and very reasonable. And we had a "while you're here" situation with some other door problems and he happily fixed those for us on the spot. Wow! Nikolai was amazing. I happened to break my key in the door knob/lock and was unable to get it out, oh and this was at 11:45 at night. I did a quick google search and started calling. Finest Locksmith was my third call and the only person who answered the phone! I explained my situation and he said he could do it. I sent him a photo of the door knob and he texted me back the price and that he'd be here within 20-30 minutes, which he was. He came out and fixed my issue within minutes and even offered to make a copy of the key! I appreciated his humor about the situation too because this could have been a huge problem for the apartment building when nobody could get in or out. He was a tad pricey but fair given I had no other options and I called close to midnight. He takes cash or even credit card which made my life easier! Would not recommend to anyone. I wish I had done my research before picking out a locksmith. This is a small company run by the guy who came to change my locks and instead of feeling good about my decision after the fact, I felt very uneasy - not how you wanna feel about a guy you are trusting to change the locks to your home. I found him to be very unpleasant and rude, and a total ripoff. Came off dishonest and scamm-y. I'd stay away. read more
