Re: the Staples store on Elliot Rd close to I-10 at about noon a week ago: I ordered 2 rolls of tape a week prior, and "Matt," the supposed manager, seemed as though "he was caught with his hand in the cookie job" when I went to the store to get the tape -- so in response he lied straight-face to me after he gave my paid-for tape to another customer. He did nothing but lie: when I really caught him was at the point that I asked him to look at the security footage to tell me who picked up the pay: HOWEVER the dead-giveaway was the fact that he would not invite me back to look which is customary when a customer's property (like myself0 had been stolen by another. Instead, he went back and spent a little time before he came out and gave his own "description" of someone that he thought I'd believe. What happened was probably that he made a mistake and wouldn't admit it. I told him that I'd go to the police, but I realized that this guy isn't long for management or anything else career-wise with what appears to be a lack of integrity. I'm a consumer watchdog and always willing to give the benefit of the doubt, but this one could easily have been pursued...I decided against it for now because he was pathetic and, after all, my only probably was tape. Besides, he gave a couple of rolls to me, and I lightned up the conversation before I left so that he'd feel better. "Kids" that are placed in management positions -- I'm speaking of untrained youth who cannot appreciate the need to see to the needs of customers rather than merely taking any job that will only pay the bills as long as these persons can merely pay their bills. Sad that they're out there stressing -- and lying -- to hard-working people. It's only a matter of time before his deceptions catch up to him -- I hope that he learned something about our encounter. read more

I wanted to update my review and share my most recent experience. I've been using a different staples location the last few months, as I moved, but lo and behold I had a couple meetings in the area and this location was convenient for my order and I feel they get the job done a bit faster overall. Well, i uploaded an incorrect draft and didn't realize until I had my order home. I called in and spoke to Destiny in the printing department who absolutely saved the day. She went above and beyond to help me out with a quick turn around reprint of my project. She was so friendly and sweet and I really can't express how much I appreciated the service and help. went in today to drop off a return for amazon. Cory was working the drop off counter. he was opening his personal mail and asked me to wait while he continued to open the letters. not sure what happened to customer service. but if a human is standing in front of you at a business would that not be the priority over opening mail? i was the only person in line. he demanded that i wait and asked for the qr code once he finished his mail stuff. the code was clearly displayed inside the clear bag the merch came in. but then he demanded that i take it out of the bag. then wanted to argue about the store policy vs amazon return and demanded that i wait for the receipt. then when he finished i asked him to throw out the receipt and he said no. grey job cory, your certainly know how to get the job done. probly give this guy a raise for being a total butthole read more

Ordered a print to pick up here from their website and when I got there to pick it up on my pickup day/time they told me their printer wasn't working. They did not cancel or notify me that they weren't able to fulfill my order. Beyond unprofessional. Left me without a poster that I needed on that day with no heads up. They said they couldn't transfer the order to another store to have it express printed either, basically just said that I am out of luck even though I already paid. Use Fedex or Walgreens for prints instead. read more

I had sent some PDFs to a printing service online but they had difficulty with my prints so I decided to go to Staples. Jess helped me at the register and was able to resize and print exactly how I wanted. It was very busy today but she was still very friendly and thorough with each customer. She took her time to get me exactly what I wanted and because of the excellent service I received today, I will be taking all my printing needs back to this Staples. read more

Unknowledgeable staff I returned my items in-store. Expectably, they can add the items back in their stock. I dropped them off to them in the original packaging and shipping box and everything. Three days later, I received my items back, delivered back to me??? I concluded that instead of 1. Add the items back to their stock and refund me immediately, or 2. Print out a new shipping label themselves and ship them back, they used the old original box's shipping label and shipped them back to me. The return instructions already said that I should keep everything to its original form. Also, Staple's has option 1 but they didn't even do that read more

I paid $20 for a US passport photo that ended up getting rejected by the passport acceptance facility. The picture was both too large to meet their guidelines and had a black spot floating in the background which the acceptance facility said made it look digitally altered. It takes several weeks to get a passport acceptance appointment so thankfully the acceptance office offered to take a photo that met the guidelines and it was accepted. I tried returning the photo to Staples and was immediately told they don't do that and the cashier needed to talk to a manager. The manager (Britany) stuck her head out of the back office and reiterated they didn't do returns on photos. She told me the "guarantee" they told me about when I bought it was only just for photo retakes. When I tried explaining that passport appointments take three plus weeks to get and that was not realistic to expect someone to come get a reshoot and wait another three weeks - she got annoyed and just said "refund the guy". She never fully emerged from the back room to talk to me despite me trying to show her what was wrong with my photos. No apologies and was quite rude throughout the exchange. Sorry if I don't want to wait another three weeks to see if you guys take an acceptable photo this time. Won't be doing any business with this location in the future. All I ask is to not be treated so rudely. read more

The employees at the print section were very friendly and helpful! They only offer self serve printing, but the process is very simple and quick! Now... the cashier... I went to the front to pay since the employees at the print section were busy and had a long line. I walked up to the front and the employee working (red hair) was VERY rude. She snatched the paper out of my hand and proceeded to scanning it. She didn't make any eye contact but kept muttering something under her hot breath. She didn't offer a receipt and just took my money without saying a word. So glad that this is not my go to location. Get rid of her. read more

This Staples is my favorite store to have speciality items printed at. The printing staff is the most helpful of any store I've been to valley wide, especially Glenna. I have been to countless FedEx, OfficeMax, as well as other Staples locations and the quality and efficiency is the best here. It is the now the only shop I go to. read more

I went here after a day of running around looking for a charger for my sons Dell computer! I called first great customer service and was told to bring the laptop ok so they can make sure they had a compatible charger! Friendly greeting walking in and Jason did all he could to help! But it was Tyler the King in customer service he went above and beyond to help us looking and searching for a comparable charger we could use! He search went through every connection they had and finally asked the final question to assist and we found a match ! Went to the location gave them a picture and the item number and it was the wrong monitor which sucked because I drove 30minutes to find the monitor I needed just to have to drive back and get the correct one. I always have a problem at this location in specific. I called in asking for printer ink, the person I talked to said it was in stock, I came in and they said they didn't have it. I went to print from their computer, tried to charge me $30 because they couldn't print my pages in black and white and needed to be in color. It's a trip to even go there and most of the time, a waste! I would not recommend this location at all, save your money and go elsewhere. read more

I received the most horrible customer service. They were short staffed in the copy and print area so instead of politely asking me to wait or apologizing for the wait time I was asked what I needed and before I could even get my sentence out the young red head rudely spoke over me. She answered a question that I didn't have and refused to let me get my sentence out rushing to get to another customer. As a paying customer I felt I should have been given the same respect as the "male" customer however unfortunately I wasn't. Then the manager Bryan speaks up for her when I asked to speak to him stating he was short staff and looking to get more people in. 30 minutes prior to walking into this Staples I had just gotten a notification that my payments for this coming college semester were withdrawn. I could practically hear my bank account cry and my anxiety heighten as the only school supplies I had left from last year were full notebooks and a broken pencil. Desperate for a good deal I walked into this staples (they price match its amazing) and was pleasantly greeted by staff. I found some pens and go to check out where I experience one of the most pleasant customer service treatments of my life from none other than Ray. The positive energy Ray gave as he rung me up was so lovely, such a change of pace from typical mumble grumble (never at this store but you know what I'm talking about). He helped me search for a price match (which he didn't have to do), and spent at least 15 mins with me finding the best deals and computing my rewards. Ray really went out of his way to help me and he really uplifted my mood. Thank you Ray & thank you Staples on Rural for such a great experience-- I will be back! Becky, you are the absolute best! I was told my business cards would be done by end of day at 7:30pm online. But NO......I needed them NOW.....! So I called in and asked for a huge favor saying, ....."I know you guys are very busy, and heck I know I've gotta wait my turn, but I was hoping I could have them ready by 2PM, it's urgent. I understand if you can't." Becky ended up telling me things were really busy but that she'll see what they could do. I ended up rolling by the location around 2pm to surprise them and reiterate my need for these cards, knowing very well they wouldn't have been started yet. I read bad reviews on yelp and had already formed a prejudice against this store even before stepping foot inside. I couldn't have been more wrong. My cards were just getting finished up @2PM. She quickly laminated something for me and another rep showed me where the correct phone charger was that I needed. Becky cared enough about what was important to me that she made it a mission to make it important to her. I was shocked! In that instant I realized all those negative reviews on here were false. Probably left by sad, self centered, egotistical people who feel more self worth in putting others down. This had been my best Staples Store experience to date. read more

I emailed a document to be printed at 11:30 that need to be mail out - I still had not heard back by 2:30 - I called and spent 14 minutes on hold - to get a quote and when I got the quote around 2:50 I was told - "I have 5 people at the counter and I'll get to it as I can" great but they were also missing additional documents sent by a second email. The manager was apologetic and nice, but what was to be mailed today will have to be redone and mailed tomorrow. I am sure I stretched their abilities - but I should have been told they did not get the additional emails and I should have been told part of the job they could not print. what I resent is the waste of my time. read more

I'm so happy I could cry right now. I had been struggling for a week now to create an insert for my offices New Years card where we are announcing our new name, Dr, and office hours. Every place I tried was ridiculously over priced, or couldn't make it the size I wanted. Eventually I just tried to make it myself and then the new logo wouldn't insert correctly! Mind you this is all happening right before Christmas so my time is extremely limited. On Monday I was in the office (my day off, office is closed for Christmas) about to give up when I decided to contact Staples for help. I emailed them my template and told them the size I wanted, and that I would like our logo in the center. I also told them I was super limited on time. IT WAS DONE IN 24 HRS! It not only is exactly what I wanted in quality and quantity but they were able to do what I couldn't. I should have just come to staples in the first place. read more

It is too bad that I cannot take away the one star I gave them, they do not deserve even one! My laptop was running slow, Docuprint and Acrobat stopped working , after uninstalling and reinstalling with no success, I took it to Staples on Broadway in Tempe, Tuesday July 28, 2015. I told them I was going out of town and would return on Monday August 3rd, would it be ready, they explained they were busy but it should be. They proceeded to run a scan on it, which was unsuccessful after a good 30-40 minutes so it was started up again, that's when I gave them the 'go ahead' to do what needed to be done to get it up and running and I left. I called Staples when I returned on Monday and they told me that it was not ready but it would be in a couple of days. I asked them what had been done thus far and he said a scan (which was done when I was there). I asked him WHY my laptop was put on a shelf for just about a week and no one even looked at it, he said they were busy with students because school was ready to start. I see this stores priorities are students NOT business people. The next day he called and said they needed to do a diagnostic(?) it costs about $165, I said fine what ever it takes. Next day he told me it was ready I asked him if Docuprint and Acrobat were working, he had no idea what I was talking about and I explained that is why i brought it in to begin with. He called back later and said all was repaired and I could pick it up, so I did. Yes, Docuprint and Acrobat were working but it took me over 24 hours to realize that my Kaspersky anti-virus had been removed and no one told me, so I reinstaledl it. Then my wireless mouse was not working so I went to WalMart and purchased a new one, that did not work either. Come to find out the USB ports/drives had been uninstalled and not reinstalled by them. It goes on and on. Tonight 9-8-15 (more than a month later) my Acrobat has stopped working again and my computer is running slow. It is unfortunate that I wasted $165 and my time.Staples has now lost ALL of my business, I will not go back for any reason!
