I've been shopping at this location for over 10 years; maybe even 15. But today I just stepped out of this store because I got really really bad service from the cashier. I was shopping for a printer and wasn't planning to spend over $300.00 but with the toner and paper it added up to like $340ish. I was having trouble with my phone's internet and couldn't transfer some money. There's was nobody behind me. The store was basically empty. But the cashier was giving me a really bad attitude like if she had a long line waiting or something. I was having issues with my card and the cashier just looked annoyed and had a condescending attitude towards me. I'm disabled. It takes me longer that most people to get my wallet out, get my phone out, move, etc. Had this lady just simply given good customer service, I would have walked out of there with a printer. On second thought, I should have talked to her manager or something. The staff there is polite and courteous. And I love this store; this young lady has a lot to learn. Customers are paying for a service! Customers pay for her salary! She's not doin people a favor! She needs to smile! And be patient with people who need extra time. 0/5 stars for the cashier on 04/26 noon time. 5/5 stars for everyone else. Great store. So STAPLES here goes:. Tried 2 Staples stores in my area. Both were out of HP 64 cartridges of any color. They both had signs that state "ink and toner are in limited supply." HOWEVER they do not limit the number of cartridges one person can purchase. I walked in behind an old man (I too am a senior) and his son today July 13 at 11:40 a.m. (all the way in he was grumbling about having to wear a mask.) He proceeded to remove all 10 of the HP 64 black cartridges (loudly counting them out as if he was proud of himself). I politely asked if he was really taking all of them. Man: Yeah ...why do you need one? N: Thank you for asking. Actually I DO need just one. Man: then you should have walked faster. You get none!!! N: You seriously try my Christian patience which on a good day I have none. It is your rotten, selfish attitude that has gotten us to the state society is in!!!!! Went up front and talked to the one of the associates as an unopened register (manager not available) as this guy was getting checked out. Was talking in a normal "Italian": tone of voice. She said "our hands are tied." N: If Walmart can limit toilet paper, why can't Staples put a limit on how many cartridges sold to one person inasmuch as you already have signs stating that they are in short supply? Response: shoulder shrug. We had a discussion of when the next order would come in and she stated they will only get more if they have been ordered and since they had just stocked the shelves this morning, chances are no more cartridges have been ordered. So I ought to try back in 3 weeks. OK now you are going say ... buy on line. I recycle. I have 6 used cartridges for which I would get credit direct to my credit card if I purchased new cartridges in the store.. I am not tossing money away just to purchase on line. Went in to get my online order that I had sent to print however the prints were not ready.. i was in a rush since i had a Christmas event for my speech student and an employee by the name Adrian helped me. He was able to print the 30 copies I needed it in less than 2 minutes.. What a sidr show. I called over the phone to inquire about CD burning services and was quoted $10. I showed up about twenty minutes later to get my job done and was told two things. 1. Their computers were down so they couldn't do my job. Why they couldn't tell me over the phone twenty minutes earlier, I don't know. 2. The price was actually $15. I accepted the new price and tried to get my job done. Apparently, the computer they were supposed to use to get the job done was incapable of downloading anything, so I couldn't access my information because the computer could neither read my hard drive nor could they allow me to download my files. Their self-service computers didn't have the software I needed, so I was stuck trying to troubleshoot the computer myself since the alleged "tech" couldn't figure out how to solve the problem. Thirty minutes later, I think I got the job done. read more

If this Staples struggles, you can chalk it up to a serious lack of customer service. I came in for a few items because this Staples is close to home. Staples has all the office products out on the shelves. If you are looking for common office supplies, you can probably find them here. Good luck finding someone to ask where to find something that is not obvious. The staff here is a wreck. When I walked up to the register, there was one open register, one register occupied by a staff person trying to explain how a printer works, and three "managers" just standing there talking. The cashier had to ask one of the managers to open a register because he had to help a customer. Of course if they had staff out on the floor helping people, customers would not have to ask the cashiers and there would not be a line 10 deep at the registers. Finally, one of the managers opened another register so the entire line had to shift over. The manager must be working by the hour because she certainly was not trying to whittle down that line. I think she was gunning for some overtime because at her pace she would still be ringing people up well after 5:00. Anyway, I am better off at Target or god forbid Wal Mart for general office supplies because I can get better prices and get more errands done per wait in slow cashier line. read more

She charged me $1.00 more than the posted price on the shelf, saying that it includes the rebate on the item. I paid and then went over to the shelf to retrieve the price card. I brought it back to the cashier (after waiting in line again) and she then called for a manager. I have used this staples for 10 years throughout college etc. I have always had patience with one of the print center associates, Yessica. Today I called to ask if they offered acid free passer I can make copies of my ultrasound on (to prevent fading) Yessica said they do not. So I asked if they sold reams of acids free paper I can purchase to have the print center copy on. Yessica then went on full force telling me if I damage the machine then I am responsible for paying for it as store policy. Obviously, the store would be the one performing the copies for me behind the counter so I am not sure how they would count me responsible for their decisions or why it was appropriate to even give the response she did. read more

At the register, they told me they did not have my order. They had no record of my order. They very rudely suggested that they probably cancelled the order because they didn't have the item. But they did not try to verify that. After a few minutes of looking myself, I found the exact planner I had ordered. This was supposed to be a 5 minute stop. This place blows!! They only have shipping tubes in ONE SIZE which is like 4 feet long and super skinny! They dont have ANYTHING else! The store is dirty and employees act like they just want to leave. Do not waste your time at this location. Go somewhere else maybe in Irvine where they care more and are cleaner. I am giving this store a one star because I am unable to give them a O. On August 9th, 2017 I took my son's phone to have the screen repaired as it had been dropped earlier and the screen cracked. After paying $199.00 for a new screen, we went to pick up the phone an hour later, unfortunately, the phone now did not charge, they damaged the mother board and after a couple of attempts to repair the damage the technician caused, they have washed their hands of the problem. I was told today by the Manager, Seth, that by authorizing them to repair the phone I agreed that any damage cause by the technician to the phone was basically my tough luck. He refused to credit me the $199.00 paid for them to break my phone. Please make sure that if you ever need your phones repaired NEVER trust Staples to do the job. read more

Staples' motto is "That was easy". I DISAGREE. Every time I go there, everything is hard. It's hard to get any help. It's hard to get a smile. I recommend going somewhere else also if you are trying to get something printed. The one or two working at the printing center never look happy to help you and they can never help me with what I need. My girlfriend still goes to this Staples to get ink because it's close to our house, but I stay in the car because I can't even walk in there anymore. It ruins my day. read more
