It's a pleasure to run across someone who can apparently fix pretty much anything, including rainy days! ;-) I've done business with James for the last couple of years; recently he replaced cracked screens on two of my older Android devices (Galaxy S5s). I came in for a laptop repair. It wan't immediately obvious what was wrong with it and he would have had to keep the laptop for a couple days to diagnose the issue (along with a fee). However, he let me know that it would void my laptop's warranty and I should use the warranty instead. I ended up sending the laptop to the manufacturer for repairs but I greatly appreciate his honesty instead of making some easy money. read more

So very upset and disappointing! Took my daughter phone here a couple weeks ago iPhone X to fix the screen. Here we are a few weeks later woke up to the phone on the charger with all colored lines. Walked in to the the shop and was told its internal and he wants to charge me $120 again after I just paid to have it fixed. Becareful if you take your phones here because he was not helpful! Ha thanks.... I hope everyone who reads reviews sees exactly what I'm talking about! Beware all they clearly dont care about their customers!!! Their front desk was very rude and very unprofessional. I went in to ask for a quote on my phone ( S21 ultra), and all I got in return was pure attitude and sas. I went in after work because i dropped my phone, and it completely shattered. When I went in, I felt like I was being profiled do to what I was wearing. Their customer service was just awful. The next day, I went to the store to take my device to get fixed and then the person who helped me had an attitude and was rude to other customers. It was an awkward situation. Paid for the most expensive phone screen replacement and it hasn't worked since I got it. Brought it back. Buy said it was probably my screen protector and it's not. Outstanding! These guys are great. My iPhone 6 battery died and another local shop replaced it about 6 months ago and it failed again. The local Apple Store would not even look at it when I told them it had been done by a non-Apple place. Great Customer Service Apple! These guys looked at it and said the previously installed battery was poor quality and replaced it with a much better quality battery. Even the IOS software recognizes it now! 30 minutes in and out and very reasonably priced. Its nice to have and to support a local business that does good work! Highly recommend! read more

I cracked my phone screen while out of town and they were able to help me out in a jam. First, I used Yelp to help get a quote from xFixit before physically going to the store. This was extremely helpful since I'd never had to repair my phone screen before. I answered a few basic questions about my phone and the problem and the business replied back within a couple of hours with a quote and availability. The next day, I was able to walk in and have my phone screen repaired in under 30 minutes! They were very professional and had coffee and water to offer during the wait. I have a 2015 Macbook Pro that needed a new fan and battery. I took it to a place with a certified Apple tech. They took 3 weeks just to look at it and get back to me, only to give me a quote for much more money than I was willing to spend on a 7 year old computer, especially after my last Macbook lasted exactly 7 years before completely dying on me. I asked them just to fix the fan, which they refused to do as Apple doesn't allow "partial repairs." I called up James at xFitit, and he agreed to just do the fan, but also gave me a quote for the battery and it was actually reasonable so I let him do it all. He did the work in less than 24 hours and now my computer is back to normal again. If I need tech service in the future, I definitely know where to go. I highly recommend him. The guy was good and fixed my phone in under an hour. The charging dock for my phone needed to be replaced. However while he was removing the screen he broke the digitizer. My options were to walk out with a broken phone or pay him for a new screen also. He just said it happens sometimes, sorry. Together for the entire repair I paid $220. read more

I guess my Samsung felt a bit dirty, and took a dive into the washer. I realized a good 3 minutes later that the phone was at the bottom of the machine, pulled it out, and promptly shook the water out. Instead of resuscitating it, I killed the phone. I tried rice for 2 days, no luck. (Don't do this, just take it into Xfixit ASAP!) Despite my abuse, the Xfixit team was able to restore the phone to life! These folks are trustworthy, kind, well organized, reasonably priced, and reliable. read more

They sold me a faulty screen and would not replace it. They never told me there was a 45 day warranty, so I went in a few days after it "expired" with my screen completely bugging out. I have an iPhone 8 Plus's, paid $100 for a new screen, and it worked for a month. Now I'm going to have to go somewhere else for yet a new screen. The "technician" didn't have me fill out any paperwork and never told me about the return policy or warranty. It felt sketchy from the start, but I was tired of trying to get it replaced, so I let him. NEVER going back and NEVER giving him one more cent. The product should last longer than 45 days- and if it doesn't, you're just out of luck. No standing behind their product, no apology, no customer service. read more
