It's long overdue. This Staples has to be one of the worst stores when it comes to efficiency and customer service. It takes a great deal for me to have to share feedback and this is the final straw. I still think Staples by and large is a great company but this location doesnt help that out at all! I have to wait 30 minutes to get a print job, absolutely ridiculous! Cannot say enough good things about the staff at this store, ESPECIALLY JOSE in the print shop! I came to him with a special order that needed a very fast turn around and he was more than accommodating. He spent probably about a half-hour total on the phone with me, walking me through how to make the order work. He was patient and friendly and went out of his way to make the order happen. Other than convenience, there are a few things I like about this store: a decent amount of parking being one, and the fact it never seems to be busy, the couple of times I have gone. There's nothing worse on school supply shopping day than an overcrowded store full of people running you over, tapping the back of your ankle with their shopping cart, bumping into you, or playing tug of war with you for the last school supply on the shelf. I started off yesterday trying to wrap up some last-minute school shopping since I was too busy with personal family matters to go during the tax-free weekend. The store seemed somewhat dead, especially when you take into account the fact that Monday is the first day of school. I tried to find someone to assist me, without success, until I saw a store employee whose eye I must have caught because at that point he decided to follow me around the whole place until I was sure I had everything I needed. He must have asked me at least twice if I needed help and decided to joke around that he'd be seeing me again the next day. He even opened a register when he saw the line growing in size. Crush or not, whether he had ulterior motives or not, I was grateful to be able to finish my shopping in half an hour or less, while having assistance offered to me throughout my walk around the store. read more

This store opened in 2008 and is on 21st and Biscayne Boulevard. It's the closet Office Supply Store to downtown. Since it is new, the inventory is very good and the store is rarely crowded. They also have a business services center where you can make copies and ship via UPS. When I mailed my package, I had to wait until someone could come over and help me. I hope that experience is better next time. Also, don't forget to join their rewards programs. You'll get free coupons, even for savings on toner cartridges. Just needed to fax ONE paper. Took 45 minutes. 15 to get the attention of a worker that the fax machine was out of paper. 15 for him to find someone else to tell them the fax machine was out of paper. 14 for that someone else to come over to the fax machine, while 4 other customers were practically fuming with dissatisfaction at the customer service counter. 1 minute for the lady to finally put some paper in the machine for me to receive my confirmation that my fax sent. The usual Staples. It's not a mess like some I've been in, the employees are usually pretty nice, and I've never had a problem with items being in stock. My only complaint is that there is always what I assume is an employee's car parked in the hybrid/low emission spot that does NOT fit the bill! I want to park my hybrid there, especially when it's pouring rain! Sorry, employee, you should be parked at the far end of the parking lot. Customers first! read more

I purchased an iPad 8th generation on staples.com. Waited a couple of days for a shipping confirmation. Went online and my order had been canceled. Chatted online with a customer service representative and was told I had to call in for an explanation. Decided I would go out and just re-order the iPad. Now I see they increased the price online by $40. This is obviously a bait and switch. Wrote the CEO Sandy Douglas an email, and of course I have had no response. Time to consult my attorney. read more

Eh, I've never been to an 'amazing' Staples, so this just falls under the "It's a Staples, how good can it get?" category. Parking is usually easy to find, as this store never gets crowded. It's clean and organized. The staff that I've encountered have always been friendly. I've used their computers once to print something. While there were random little kids playing with scissors and tape and stuff, it was alright. I've also used them for their UPS shipping services. While every Staples I've been to accepts USPS packages as well, this one doesn't (and apparently no Staples in Miami does), so that was news to me. Come here! Store employees are improperly trained and lazy. Some thief cloned my credit card and used it at this store 3 times in one day totaling over $1000 worth of charges. Nobody bothered checking their ID and apparently it didn't bring up any red flags to them. I don't know if the employees are just stupid or if this is some type of inside job. Nonetheless, I filed a police report and contacted the store. I got absolutely no where with the store manager as I was on hold for over 30 minutes without anyone even picking up. Now it's time for me to call corporate. Enough is enough with these stores who don't check ID or protect the consumer. read more

I buy a case of letter and legal size paper per month, sometimes 2 cases. That said, I decided to give Staples a chance and 1) they did not deliver when promised, 2) I called and the answer was that the driver decided not to deliver my package today, that he would do it tomorrow, 3) I now have to go buy paper locally and more expensive while I wait to see if they deliver. I do NOT recommend Staples. I rather keep buying from Amazon. read more

Overall: While I love t]he convenient location of this store and the friendly sales people, I wasn't too impressed with the staff at the Copy Center. They also let me take my dog in! Pros: There's always someone at the door to greet you and store stays pretty neat and clean. Best of all, its built with the environment in mind. Low flush toilets and all. When you need help in the aisles, its hard to find someone who speaks English, but once you find one, they are usually pretty helpful. Cons: The copy center isn't too impressive. They messed up my order but was willing to redo it. I didn't want to waste all the paper that was already printed so I just accepted it as is, even though I would have to hole punch it myself (700 pages). It's kind of embarrassing for them though that a copy center of this size does not have a hole puncher that works and were not willing to do it for me. After half an hour of fiddling with 2 broken hole punchers, I decided to walk to the hole puncher aisle in the store and used the ones on display. It took me over an hour but at least I saved paper! read more

The lay out and supplies here are just like most every other Staples I have wandered into over the last 15 years, but this one deserves to be rated because of how helpful everyone working here is. Each time I have wandered in, I am immediately asked what I am looking for, and when I tell the reason for my visit, I am not only directed to the area, but the person asking me walks over with me and helps me choose the best pen, printer paper, note cards, what ever I am looking for. I know I could do all of this on my own, but bravo Staples on such great service! Note, there is also plenty of off street free parking in the private lot attached. read more

After driving 40 mins to this location because of a book bag that was on sale I finally arrived to find out the manager or wanna be manager snatched all of the ones I wanted off the floor because she was mad that it was such a good deal. I seen her with them in her hands and she said they were all gone. Very disappointed and disgusted. read more

This is the worst store and customer service ever. Do not but anything of value here. I tried to return a brand new unopened laptop and they said no that THEIR RETURN POLICY ON LAPTOPS WAS TWO WEEK! Wow now wonder everyone buys from Amazon, Walmart, Costo with a respectable return policy. I go there occasionally when it is a necessity -- the cashiers take forever. Faxes were 2$ a page. No one faxes anymore expect the medical field. it is sad now you can see why these companies are going out of business. They can't compete price wise well at least give excellent customer service. I had the pleasure of speaking with several members of the staff at this location and each was as polite, professional and patient as the last. The products met my needs, the prices were very reasonable and Louis, the manager of this location, went out of his way to fulfill order as quickly as humanly possible. Louis was as helpful to me as he was sympathetic to my special needs. This experience has made tremendous strides towards renewing my faith in mankind as well as the retail world. My car was broken into at this location and the majority of staff members were extremely unhelpful. In fact one was downright rude and condescending when I asked for a little assistance. All they had to say so that I didn't have to wait for ages in the hot sun was that they have NO security cameras. Empathy goes a long way and many staff members didn't seem to have any. read more

This has to be the worse business ever. Tried calling several time to see if my fax has arrived. Waited on line for over 20 mins. Every time someone would pick up the phone they would transfer me to the copy department for another 20 mins. It actually took me faster to arrive to staples than them picking up the phone. Once I arrived here. There is a very long line just to see if the fax was received. I'm still waiting after waiting 15 mins I'm sure they will not find the fax a total of 55 mins wasted. BEWARE! Do not go to this store (store 1831). There is a reason why this store is empty. Worse customer service ever.

It's no wonder box stores are hurting. Went there Saturday for a laptop for my wife. Wandering around the store for longer than Moses in the desert. No one came over. There were exactly five customers in the store, and at least a half dozen workers. When I walked over to one and asked why he didn't come over to us for assistance, he said he "just came in, and then preceded to walk away". I went to the info desk to get a manager. The manager didn't acknowledge the poor attitude of the worker, but did accompany us to the laptop section. He offered NO help or insight into their inventory. We chose a budget computer, he went to the back, and returned and said they don't have it. I gave him another slightly more expensive model and again he left and returned saying they don't have anymore. He seemed to give the impression that what would I expect asking for the cheapest models. He finally told us a new shipment was coming on Monday. I asked for a raincheck or if we could reserve one with a deposit and he refused. Right there the company should fire him. Despite the store lackluster service, they turned down a sale. If my employee turned away a potential purchase, I would definitely fire them and make them an example for the rest of the employees. Staples will go the way of other failed box stores. These lazy employees will never amount to ANYTHING in life with their lack of work ethic. read more

I decided to head to Staples because they said they're open (it's 6:12 pm) on a Tuesday, but the doors are clearly locked and no employee even acknowledged me to say that they are closing. It's always a good idea that the hours that are posted on Yelp are current and In accordance with what hours you're actually open. On Google, it was correct. On Yelp, it was not. The hours on Yelp are what appear when I use Siri so I would make sure the correct info is posted everywhere. read more

I'm only giving one star because I have to. The rudest staff possible. All I needed was assistance in the self help print center. First employee I asked, with an attitude, tells me to go ask the people working at the print center... (First time doing this, btw). At the print center, two employees, I asked the first one I saw "excuse me, I need help with printing labels." Again, with an attitude like if I was bothering him he said "she'll help you in a minute" turns out, the girl that was going to "help me in a minute" was printing out tons of plans for another customer & was not going to be done anytime soon. They never called for backup, never said anything. Finally when someone came, he began helping another lady that got there after me. At no point did anyone mention I was there first or even bother looking in my direction again. NEVER going back there! read more

I would base the success (just being in business) of this location on the fact that there aren't any other options in the area. Even though the staff is nice the store is managed poorly. At any given time there will be a line of people waiting for copy center services and only one employee trying to attend to all of them. Then there are 4-5 staples associates at registers or wandering the floors with nothing to do. Here's an idea for management, cross training. I don't mean that everyone needs to do everything but they should know enough to provide base level customer service in other areas. read more

Agree with everyone who says do not come to make prints or copies! I have given them several chances! The print/copy manager, she quite literally cannot do anything right. The first time I went to this Staples, I wanted to print 200 flyers for my company which is a Fortune 500 hotel chain and they gave me half on gloss paper, some double sided with the wrong image, all of them cut horribly as if I had done them myself with scissors! I brought them back 3 times to give them a chance, I was also in a time crunch. Each time they found a way to royally screw them up! No matter which way I patiently explained to them that it was unacceptable and what I need, the manager moved at an EPIC slow pace and explained whatever she wanted that had nothing to do with what I needed at an even slower pace. Extremely irritating and frustrating. I was there 3 hours. I ended up having to delay my sales pitch and print with another company and I made Staples refund me everything; not to mention during the refund process they discovered that they charged me nearly $70 over! Today, I was also in a time crunch and just needed to print to head shots of myself 2'x2' for a passport photo. As soon as I walked in and saw that the same manager was there again, I nearly turned around and walked out. But I thought, "this request is a lot simpler they must be able to get this right with ALLLLL those fancy machines and paper" turns out I was wrong. They found a way to be equally as slow, irritating and incorrect as the last time. They cant print a simple 2 x 2 passport photo! After I was presented some garbage, I threw it in the trash and walked out. I came back in when I thought of the idea to just print it at home on gloss paper. I asked a different manager at the front if they sold by the sheet he said 'No." I Ignored him b/c obviously no one in this store knows anything. I went back to the copy center and asked the girl the same question, she promptly handed me two sheets of paper, rang them up and I paid $2. My advice, just don't bother....unless you like being stressed out by idiots. read more

The only reason I would come back is because its the only office / school supply store in the downtown area. I came here to print out my final that needed to be on special paper. I was having some difficulties printing and Ricardo was the most unhelpful person in the copy/print center. Printing 20 pages shouldn't take more than 10 minutes. It took 45 minutes because of printer error, and I still don't have what I need! They charged me 6 times the amount of what it was supposed to be, and told me to come back later because he was busy helping other people, meanwhile I was the first customer in the store and I was waiting for his help for quite some time. He was rude and gave me attitude, and treated me like it was my fault their system wasn't working. I'm sitting here still waiting for my pages, and Ricardo still continues to give me attitude and text rather then attend to his customers. read more

The Print and copy service is the worst ever . They have nothing there , just three different types of paper and that's it . Besides , they can't even use a simple software to help you adjust the images that you want to print . Never coming back ! read more

Staples has to get their act together. Had me waiting for 30 minutes at the printing station, as their computers were not up yet. Then after having me wait, the lady attending the machines did not know the code to use them. Finally when the manager came out with the code, they printed my presentation on the only machine that apparently worked. The print job was low quality and on the wrong paper. They could not even get the machine to print "fit size". They said I would have to come back later as the only printer that can do that was not up yet. What a waste of time. I could print better at home. I left... not sure if I will ever go back. read more

I came to get a few print with an specific paper and no kitting I arrived with 3 customer in front of me and 30 minutes in and I'm still stranding here and yelping. People walk way slower than usual I could understand if they were consecrating on what they were doing but it seems that they have no purpose to be here...... I have 5 people behind me and it could of been more but they kept on leaving, one of them have a tip to go to a little copy center in Downtown instead. I have been forced to use the printing services and shipping center here a few times and it makes me understand people that lose their mind over mundane things. The systems are archaic. NEVER come to this staples to make prints or copies. I have tried to give them a chance again and again but this is the 5th time I've had a horrible experience at their service center. To begin with, the employees are extremely rude. They do not greet customers but rather ignore them, even when they are not occupied. There is no sense of urgency or concern for customers' wait time, I have waited at least 40 minutes every time I've been here. When they do finally get around to you, their complete apathy is overwhelming. Every question seems to be an inconvenience, they have no memorized knowledge of their prices or services, and they never try to be helpful beyond the bare minimum, and I mean minimum. To play devil's advocate, it does seem like they are always overwhelmed, understaffed and poorly trained - definitely a serious management problem that runs from customer service to actual service. To add to this Staples awfulness, every time I have gone at least one of the self-service machines has been out of service or being repaired. Even after repair, the quality is quite poor, my copies today have magenta streaks running through the entire sheet. Needless to say, I've given this store enough chances and I will NEVER be using their services again. There is a Fed Ex Kinkos at 3401 N Miami Ave just a few minutes away that you should be printing at instead. read more

Every experience I've had at this store had been nothing but unpleasant. ROD (one of the associates) is under qualified to deal w human beings, never the less with customer service. This is a retail store with no retail sales people on the floor. Only miserable looking cashier personnel. Normally wouldn't write a review for a Staples but was very pleasantly surprised with the staff here. Every aisle I turned, the moment I seemed as though I couldn't find what I was looking for a member of the team was there to help me find something.
