I went in to the store to see if my order went through or not but was helped by a rude tech supervisor, tawseef, who was rude to me and his employees. When he first started helping me, he was pressing me on telling him the item number. Which I did give, unfortunately he meant to say confirmation number, but continued to tell me that I was wrong. Once I noticed his mistake, he didn't even apologize or acknowledge how rude he was. Also during this whole situation, employees entered the store, and one of them came in late. Tawsweef took note of it immediately and teased him saying that he should've gotten gas earlier to show up on time. In the employees defense, he had a late night, but Tawsweef did not care. At the end of my visit, all Tawsweef told me was that my item was cancelled because it was an online order and it wasn't available in his store. But I obviously, I ordered this item ONLINE to PICK UP at a store near by, which was this store. Tawsweef, you suck. read more

I went to this location to get my business cards made, and let me tell you...the lady name Pa who helped me was phenomenal..as a former Head Salesman of 3 companies I amazing customer service when I see it..I actually had a sales team and trained them all...Pa exceeded all of my expectations and went beyond the call of duty...she not only helped with a sense of urgency...she helped me decide what looked most appropriate with the layout of my cards...she made me feel like I was part of the family and I will never go anywhere else this day forward.. Pa is a fine example of what a company desires as their ambassador...If I were in charge I would put her in upper management with the highest pay available for her position...she should be the face of ALL your locations...I vote Pa for District Manager...If you need this post validated please feel free to contact me...I am more than happy to confirm all of this...Pa deserves the best Staples or any company has to offer...My whole family deals with the public in Education and Managerial positions... I am writing a review for print and copy. Was there today around 1pm, two men working print and copy, one woman at shipping. They were upfront about longer than usual wait times, due to some issues with their printer, and told me my order wouldn't be ready for at least an hour. I really appreciate this, as I had my baby with me, and used the time walk to and shop at BBB, Michaels, and Target. Came back and was promptly given my order. Helps to know you have to email them the order (I've only ever had PDF's printed). Have used them before, and will continue to use for all printing needs in the future. read more

Today I decided to go shopping for a printer for school because I am in need for one just a simple printer. Now we get here and get greeted at the door asked if we need any help we ask where are your printers located and get told where they are located in the store politely by an employee. Once we reach the printer section and we are looking around for a cheap printer we get approached by a RUDE worker who I did not get the name of. He asked if we needed help and we declined because I was just looking for a small simple printer. We find one and it seems not to be in stock below where they are on display. So I decide to go find a worker and check out some of the stationary section for some nice writing pens for school as well. As soon as I get back with no worker or pens I find a worker but instead the worker approached me asking me furiously if I need help. I said yes I do I'm looking at a printer over here but you don't have it in stock immediately he starts screaming at me asking me what kind and clearly I don't know the name because I came in looking for a simple printer. I then walk over to where my s/o was already looking at them for me to see if they had one in stock. Once we get there the worker continues to yell at us saying " we don't have it in stock we don't carry that style if you want a printer get this one" which was a 200$ printer clearly out of my price range. Shortly after another worker comes up to where we are and they start harassing us saying I have something in my pockets. I ask what they mean by that and they start pointing at my zipper jacket pockets. I go ahead and take out my wallet !!! And instead they throw us out of the store claiming I had something else in my pocket. We try to exit the store after being harassed and proving I had nothing on me we go for there front doors when the same lady stops us from leaving tell us we shouldn't come back for what we did. We go around to the exit and we are immediately followed to our car by the same two workers. We stay in the car to see if they would come up to us and the lady manager goes outside to get the shopping carts and starts flipping us off in the car and to never come back! I couldn't believe it. We wait and talk about how badly what we just experienced what happened and we see them send out another employee to pick up a shopping cart that was close to our vehicle. So now they were keeping a close eye on us and stalking us making sure we left I couldn't believe it . Finally we left after we saw they even called the security guard of the area. I was flabbergasted at how terribly we were treated and I will never return. Not like it matters but because of employees like these is the reason why this store is going out of business. I never thought I would get treated like that and verbally abused from simple workers. They looked like managers and I'm simply ashamed in them having that title. read more

EDDM Small Business service is Non-Existent. Have tried working with both Marc DelRosario and Cher Fernandez. I've left multiple voicemails, Supposedly Marc was on vacation, so they had Cher contact me, but even after Marc came back from vacation, I tried contacting him because Cher stopped responding, and no phone call return. As you can see, its pretty much like being monkey in the middle with these two. I also responded to Cher's email using the reply button, to receive no response. Then, i also sent a new email, copy pasting her email address, for it only get bounced back, with the email response stating I need to be in their E-mail contacts list...Umm she had emailed me first...don't know whats going here. Do your self a favor, save time and go else for EDDM services to a company that actually cares for small business owners and clients. They have fortunately hired competently better associates that have been able to assist me with my paper and ink purchases. read more

I have recently started using staples more for my tech items such as laptops, printers and chromebooks. I shopped around and it turns out that their prices are very comparable to other stores such as best buy. Some of the items were priced lower then walmart and while talking to one of their sale associates i found out that they now also price match amazon.com. I was able to get a printer cheaper then amazon because their printer price was the same as Amazon.com and then i was able to use a staples 15% off coupon on top. Loving staples right now. read more

Reading the reviews I get that people who work at Staples Fremont are wonderful? But you know there will always be the "exception", right? They have the USPS outlet and on the 14th we sent an international mail via USPS inside Staples. The clerks were like auditioning for Ninja Turtles because they were really really slow. Long and short of the story, we sent the mail anyway and we wanted to buy a tracking number for a $1 or so more, but the clerk said no need to do that because the piece of paper that she gave me contained the tracking number. After more than 10 days and the letter hasn't been delivered yet, I tried to track it and called USPS but they said they can't help me because it was not a tracking number-it was a customs number. So because I am effed up either way, I called Staples to file a complaint and the supervisor although calm and apologetic did not offer much. I mean like I said, they are the frontliners for a specific product the assumption was they SHOULD know what they are doing. People rely on frontliners/clerk and when wrong information is given and screws you-no one is actually willing to man up and take responsibility. It is terrible. I spent $25 dollars and it went down the drain and the supervisor just said "sorry we can't do anything about it", we will just re-train them". They take your money, something goes wrong and they give you the virtual finger when you complain. USPS is a different story altogether, but we are now in the age and time of " suck it up". Most people don't take pride in what they do anymore. They don't even act like they enjoy what they are doing anymore. Idiots are all around, sad to say. read more

The office supply store in Union City closed down a while ago so I had to drive a little further than before, but thank you for being open past 8! I'm a tutor so colorful pens are necessary when you're going over a student's homework without using red. Plus, my favorite Dr Grip pen was out of ink so I had to try and find the exact one I used. I found it in blue and black, thank heavens! I went kind of late so it wasn't busy and actually stared at two options for so long that an employee had to check on me. Lol. Over all, not the biggest selection of pens and pencils (especially pencils!) but definitely got the job done. read more

Management needs to learn how to staff properly to prevent the ridiculous long line of 20+ people and to train for superior customer service at all levels. You only get two stars for the one rare super helpful and friendly associate who served me the other week. He was happy to come to work! Doubt I'll shop in store again! Thank goodness for my online shopping addictions! ;) So after waiting in line for 30 minutes they explain that furniture has a 14 day return policy, which should've been clarified at time of purchase to note differences in return policy between office supplies and furniture, both of which was purchased. Even when I escalated to the manager, they say I have to come back another day because there's no manager on duty. Really, again great example of poor staffing management during peak shopping hours. I come to this location very often to mainly get my school supplies. It's best to come right before school starts because they always have great sales ($0.50 composition notebooks, $1 regular college wide notebooks). The store itself is very big and organized (except during before school sales because everyone goes crazy trying to find everything). But they maintain their stock very well. If you can't find something or an item you want is not on the shelf, simply find an employee and ask! They will usually be able to find what you need or go on the very top shelf to see if there are any extra to the product you want. I usually can find everything quickly when I am just trying to get a few things. They do have sales on certain products once in a while. I don't really look for the sales from the ads I get in the mail, but either way, you'll definitely be getting great quality items at a great price. read more

He did his best to find me a 31 daily file folder with lid...i ended up getting 2. I think some stuff at Staples is a little pricier than outside so I don't shop here that often. The main reason why I come here is the postage options. They have this small counter to ship stuff at standard rates upto I think 8 or 9 pm. The only issue is that once in a while they randomly close early without any way of finding out before you get there. About 1/ 5 times this has happened to me which is why I took a Star off. Another issue is the wait time. Being then only open shipping counter after hours leads to long wait times. It is best to get here at least 30 mins earlier to accommodate for the wait time The staff is quite polite and helpful though. read more

The only guy who was working ON THE ENTIRE FLOOR, was a very nice African American gentleman and he directed me to where someone should have been, the tech center, but the three people who were supposed to be there were not for several minutes. Once someone did come, a larger poorly groomed man said he couldn't find my wife's order, and I had to call her to see what it was, even though I gave him the order number and the last name, the only criteria needed. After interrupting my wife to ask her what she bought, he turns to me and says he found out.... Wtf?! They advertise as the "lowest price." This a a deceitful trick. I came to purchase a calculator, which was ($40) more expensive than other stores already. Anyways I ordered on line and was lucky to find a coupon, so my price was $36.42. However, Fry's have it for $34.99. Their other product are also highly priced. On occasion, there have been a couple of younger staff member that seem more interested in their own conversation, than the customers around them. That's not good for business. I went in to pick up some printer paper. I was searching for the best deal and another customer I bumped into said that Staples online had a certain type on sale...cheaper than what their in store pricing was. We checked Staples online and the same paper we wanted to purchase was at a lower price point. We checked with a sales rep to see if they would honor the Staples online price. The rep agreed - we just needed to show the price on our phone at the cashier. When we went up to the cashier, explained what happened...lower price online, your sales rep said you would honor the price. The cashier agreed to match the price. She started to ring up the woman ahead of me and when it came to my turn she said I needed to pull up the price on my phone. I explained I didnt have my phone on me and reminded her of what had just transpired...she agreed and the customer ahead of me showed her the sale price. The cashier put up a fuss and said that she could not change the price because I did not have my phone. The lady ahead of me stood up for me and showed the cashier the price again on her phone. The cashier fussed more and said no because it wasn't on my phone. There was nothing unique about our transactions...no special code to enter...it was simply Staples online pricing versus in store. I was in shock! I said no thank you,said I would not be purchasing anything and walked out. Staples management - work on your staff's customer service skills. Be honest and do the right thing. Never go here this store is like a trash can I guess it's maintained by Indian Management so don't expect a proper customer service. They basically try to rip you off with their own prices. I like reading reviews, never write them unless it's deserved. You read about the good, the bad, and the ugly. I needed a gaming chair that wasn't over the top expensive but not cheap either, something to last me 2-4 years. I sat there for an hour just making sure I was gonna choose the right one. When I was looking, the chair I wanted was on sale for $169.99 online, originally it's $319.99. As I was making my way to go find someone, "Did you need any assistance with anything?" I asked him about the chair, didn't see any in boxes around me. He went to take a look, asking what color(s) I wanted, red preferred but blue works too. And sure enough he brought me to two stacks of the chairs both red AND blue. The price, however, was $199.99 (still a good deal). Got to the front and asked about it, no big deal if not, still $20 saved. I've worked retail where people flip out over nothing, it's tough at jobs like that, people suck. He said he'd honor it, asked about warranty, then it came to asking me about filling a survey out when I would have the chance. Dude was cool, letting me do my own thing just testing chairs and honored the sale. First time I took a survey. If you go in there as a customer, Jag is the man. It's guys like him that I meet every once in a while that I go there, keep coming back every couple months. Although "Anthony" was polite in a stiff way when I went to pick my order up and this took longer than expected, I was happy with my purchase. Next day, I had to return to get the product checked out. "Joshua" was very welcoming and gracious, although busy with another customer. Manager "Sang" took over; tested product immediately and found it faulty. Not only did he find me a replacement, but he tested the product before making the exchange ---all within minutes.
