Went here on a Thursday evening to buy ink. Was lost on where to find it and had to rifle through all the ink because it wasn't put back where it belonged and the shelves were disarray. I had called half an hour before to ask if they carried it and they told me they did. Questions to management: How are there a million people that work here but no one to greet even one person walking through the door? How can there be three people on the floor, two in Party City, two in the printing department, two in the cashier area and yet no one to help someone walking aimlessly around the store looking for supplies? I have no idea how this place survives but it's barely standing. The products are overpriced (cheaper online, but I needed it for that day) and disheveled. It's difficult to find anything there. Whenever I need help at Staples Fremont Hub store, without exception, Tawseef help me with a smile on his face and a knowledge in his brain. I bought a HP printer about 8 month ago, and it is shadow printing. He tried to fix it, but it is obviously a lemon. When I returned it following what he advised to do, he gave me a new one at my request without any hassle. I am very happy with Tawseef's service, but I can't say the same about the HP printer. The staff are all wonderful but one rude staff, I believe his name was Adrian I was very disappointed the way he treated me to the point that I left store and throw the box I had purchased to shop some things to our customers at the counter and left. I came to Staples Fremont Hub to pick up a poster I had printed. I got the email confirmation saying it was ready, with my name and order number. When I went to the print section, the lady there was busy but told me Viktor would help me. Fair enough. I showed Viktor the confirmation email and order number, and instead of looking for the order, his first response was, "Are you sure it's at Staples?" The email literally said Staples Fremont Hub. I pointed that out, gave him my name and order number again, but he claimed he couldn't find it in the system. I then suggested he just check the cubby like the print staff usually do -- I pick things up this way all the time. Instead, he told me to go all the way across the store to Easy Tech because "they might help you with a problem." Easy Tech has nothing to do with printing. When I got to Easy Tech, the woman there (who I think was the manager) was surprised and said it should have been handled in Print. She went over and quickly found my order. This was a simple pickup. Viktor clearly didn't know what he was doing and instead of problem-solving or checking the obvious place, he passed me off and made it more inconvenient. It's frustrating to deal with employees who don't think outside the box and don't seem to understand basic customer service. Staples management -- please train your staff to handle simple situations like this so customers aren't bounced around unnecessarily. read more

This place is truly a hot mess. You walk in and you have to wait and wait for someone to even ask you if you need help. You also will not be getting prompt help either. They are not familiar with passport guidelines, they told me that I had to have my ears showing, and my hair back for the photo, I thought that sounded weird. I went to another place called mail and services in Newark and they were able to take my photo, and it was approved by the US Department of state, so I have no idea who is training these staples people. read more

I should have gave this review months ago but I keep forgetting to actually do it, I also forgot her name for quite some time which is why it took even longer to write this. I just want to give a big thanks to Jennifer. She works at the photo copies section of the store. Back in December I had a last minute present which was the custom mugs. She helped me and even made sure I got a discount. She made sure I had the mugs on time and everything. I believe this was actually on Christmas Eve. Most retail workers are over it and ready to head home but she did all she could to help me being positive the whole time. I also go in to return some packages frequently and sometimes shes quite busy but she always helps me and apologizes for the wait. I hope her team appreciates her shes great and helpful when you need it. Executive leadership, get involved and make improvements at your retail locations. Without better customer service and a better customer experience, Staples will be the next victim to lose its brick and mortar stores to online shopping. Worst customer service experience ever. Went in Sunday afternoon to do Amazon returns. First time going there so don't know where the returns are. Asked male employee nearby and he looked very upset and whithout looking at me he said overthere. I paused and and askeed him again where and finally said at front register but still not looking at me just doing what he is doing. This guy never acknowledged me whatsoever, its like he hates working there. I will never do Amazon returns there ever and will never shop there. The store layout is efficient, so it is easy to find merchandise for purchase. Staples will recycle toner cartridges, batteries and computer parts for points and cash rewards for purchases. I've been here several times for printing services and Amazon returns. While the print quality isn't good, I still find myself dropping by for quick pick-ups for office supplies and other items. The staff here is mostly helpful. More helpful than the ones at the Milpitas location in the sense that I don't have to spend 10 minutes just to flag someone down. The employees here are efficient in the few times that I've been here. The only issue is sometimes when they go on lunch break, the lines can move extremely slow. Every time I go in, half my shopping list on the app is not in stock. I get my steps in looking for items, going back to the front, having an employee tell me where it is (where I just looked), asking them to help me find it, then they realize they don't have it (which is why I asked). At least ordering it at the store is quick and easy for next day delivery to wherever you need. I think he forgot part of my order. I had to remind him several times and I forgot to remind him a third time about the rubber bands. The tech center doesn't do hardware, only software. I received awesome service for my TSA Pre enrollment. I did not make an appointment and my wait was less than 5 minutes. I was helped by Bryan, who was knowledgeable, courteous and very efficient. He obviously had training and/or experience with the process because he knew what he was doing. This is not so common nowadays and I did not expect things to go so smoothly. With so many people working from home these days both of my daughters are lucky enough to be able to work from home. My oldest needed a wifi booster for her 2 desktops. Her IT dept suggested one from STAPLES. She ordered it and I went to pick it up... Our family has been shopping here at our local staples since they first came to Fremont. That's been awhile... My girls were still in school (elementary?) I have never had a problem shopping here. This time was a little different, still no problem... But this was my first "curbside" pickup. I experienced THE WORST Amazon drop off experience here. I came in with a few items to drop off, and had the misfortune of working with sales representative, Jenny. She was talking while scanning my items, and got the stickers and QR codes mixed up. Then she couldn't figure out why an item wouldn't scan. I explained that she scanned the wrong QR code for the item, while talking. She told me I must've shuffled the items, and it's my fault. I pointed out that I hadn't moved. She then said I must've handed her the wrong item for the previous QR code (also wrong). A task that should've taken a few seconds, it took way longer due to her attitude, and incompetency. Great to know Staples has a Travel Center within to help with TSA Pre process to help expedite Security Clearance for traveling within or out of the USA. Passport photos are also made here which is so convenient. I was the only one in line and she handed me off to another checker who was still in the middle of helping another customer with a long transaction. After that they are coming up with an excuse because it's busy and can take up to 60 days... they can't search the info to see the status so do t waste your time. Went in this store this evening and was waiting in line to be served. Two women in the printing dept. yet no eye contact. So, I walked up to the front desk and patiently waited to be served. A worker named by Tina (which didn't even have her name badge) looks at me and says "yes, what are u waiting for?". She did not even walk to the front desk where I was standing waiting to be served... began to mumble from behind the desk where she was standing. Couldn't even hear her. UTTERLY RUDE and didn't have a clue about customer service... didn't want to be served by her and walked away after a 30 minute drive. I find that this Staples they have a good variety of products. I can shop quietly there. They greet you, and the staff works hard. They have TSA also. If I dont find what I am looking for, a staff member there will help me find an alternative. I just have to wait. They always help me save money. I am glad they are there. I came in on Wednesday to drop off two items for binding. This is my go to spot for office needs and have had several items binded in the past. They do a great job. They offer same day or next day pick up and prices vary on size and type of coil you select. I wasn't in a hurry so I decided to pick up my order the next day (you save a few bucks). On Thursday, I stopped in after work and one of my two items were incorrectly binded. Bobbie the wonderful associate apologized (she was not the one who took my order the previous day). She was happy to fix it. Despite there being a long line of other customers and the phone ringing, she went above and beyond to get it quickly fix for me. She's a great multi tasker! I don't know if she remembers but she's helped me recently on another drop off for binding and her customer service is outstanding! read more
