90% of the people who is in charge of the printing/copy station, whether it's Staples, or Office Depot, have NO IDEA what they are doing. They actually had difficulty printing a few images from a USB stick, onto cardstock paper. Is it really that difficult? I literally had to guide the employee myself in order to get my photos printed. They had the audacity to tell me their software can't complete the task of printing my photos onto cardstock. Give me a break. There's banners all over the store saying "Print and Copy," yet they can barely to do either. These stores need to start hiring qualified people. When a store like Staples has trouble doing a simple task of printing a photo onto paper, you know it's bad lol. Gotta love the irony though. read more

I haven't had such excellent customer service in years. First, Annissa greeted me from the cash register. I went up to to exchange 5 pairs of headphones that I purchased for my classroom last year that had just fallen apart. I wasn't sure they would even look at them since it had been 10 months since they were purchased. She got the manager, Erica, who took care of everything. No problem whatsoever! She even called her tech department to see which headphones would be the best replacement. She ordered them to be sent to my classroom. She also added a 2 year protection plan. Both of these ladies seemed genuinely happy to help, and that is super refreshing. I also bought a lot more of their highly discounted school supplies that they have on sale right now. Pros: Location, customer service, parking, short wait time, Cons: Computers/Copiers slow I am not gonna lie ... I am that last minute unprepared customer wanting to print out documents 10 minutes to closing. Sorry Staples staff!! However, I have to say every time customer service has been great even if they are about to close they help we with all of my needs and even ask if there is anything else i need! Just last week a lovely lady helped me print 10 minutes to closing and even got me assistance from another team member to help me export a file on my laptop. I was very impressed! I knocked off 1 star because I'm my opinion when I use the very slow copy machines and sometimes printing services, the ink does not seem very dark. I have only asked to reprint once but every time because the print seems a little light and unclear, although if you ask for them to reprint it will not be an issue. Keep it up guys! read more

This location is bullsh*t. After purchasing a $10 flash drive I went to their copy center to scan. There weren't many customers and many staff standing around visiting. I had to use the restroom very badly. I hate using public restrooms. Because of corona virus they cut off their usage. They wanted to charge over $40 to scan 60 docs and the manager refused to make an exception. For me to sue their restroom in the middle of scanning. I refuse to do business here again. read more

This review is on the printing service. My friend & I ordered invites for a Bridal Shower we are having. We ordered them on line January 1st & they still were not here by January 14th. We were told they would be overnighted & sent to us by the 17th because there was an error with the address system. I told my friend see if they can have them printed at a store instead because we needed the guests to RSVP by January 25. She was told they would be ready on Friday. We went to this location to pick them up & the girl at the counter told us they wouldn't be ready until 8:30 that night. Mind you we began this process 17 DAYS ago. How difficult is it to print invites & get them delivered. She then notices they are all printed for us, but tells us next time know the pick up time will be 8:30. Not to worry there won't be a next time. The invites were so cheap looking & the envelopes are so thin. We originally wanted them sent to us because they sounded like they were better quality, but we didn't have much choice. Do yourself a favor & make your own or go somewhere else. I gave an extra star because they were printed & I do like the store part of staples. read more

HORRID CUSTOMER SERVICE! !!! I went in to buy a new laptop and accessories for it I knew the model I wanted they had it (at least on display) I go right to the laptops and start to HUNT for an employee. .... I walk the entire store and the only ones I see are the person in the printing center (who had 2 or 3 customers) and the cashier with 2 customers. I go back to the computers still searching for help...... I spent 15 mins trying to get someone to unlock the laptop case so I could PAY for it....... It can be a bit annoying when you go into a retailer to spend your hard earned money and then have to beg for someone to service you. I chose Staples because of its proximity to my house and a previous contract a former employer had with them. It's not often that I find myself in need of going to an office supply store, but this past weekend I was looking for something particular and figured a store like Staples would be my best shot. I was looking for a particular size of paper that was different from the standard 8 1/2 x 11 and was having difficulty locating any at my usual shopping spots. I assumed that an office supply place would be my best shot, but alas no luck here either. Well, I had pretty much resigned myself to having to cut a huge stack of paper at home which would surely result in scissor overuse and some very crooked paper when James in the copy center asked if he could help me find something. I explained my quandry to him and he told me they could cut the paper there for me after it was purchased. This was definitely music to my ears so I headed over to the check out line to make my purchase. I am so thankful to James for not only stopping to ask me if I needed help, but also to deliver the help I needed! When I did bring the chair up to the front to pay for it the cashier didn't even look at me once. She was going about the whole transaction with the same tone. I have to share my experience at Best Buy to leave my review of Staples. Went to Best Buy because I really thought they would have what I needed. Needed av cables to plug into my tv and connect to my iPhone. The guy said they only had one left, handed it to me and walked away. I looked at the package and saw that is was compatible with my phone, but looked different from the previous cables I had. Well the product was for the iPhone, just not compatible with my tv. When I returned the cables the same day, I told the girl they weren't compatible with my tv. Before returning my money, she asked me would I like to do an exchange instead. Huh? What? Did I just hear her right? IT'S NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MY TV. EXCHANGE IT FOR WHAT PRODUCT? I nicely said no thank you and I already found what I was looking for at STAPLES. Yes, I went to Staples, found what I needed and the guy that helped me was very knowledgeable. The cables I needed were a bit pricey, but I am happy with my purchase and will get good use out of them. I have been here a few times in the past, even bought a laptop from here several years ago. While the store is well stocked and convenient to my home, their customer service for standing by their products is seriously lacking. Recently, I purchased a Duracell car phone charger. It totally broke down after two months of use, and is totally unusable. My request for an exchange was met with total disregard by the manager on duty. He simply told me to contact Duracell for my problem stating it wasn't his problem. As a regular, loyal customer (with a small business), I find this unacceptable. They have lost me as a customer. Good luck finding customer service here. You'll find more help talking to yourself through frustration. The stocked boxes of furniture is always a mess. It's like some 12 year old piled an area of boxes and just didn't really give a damn. Looking at the employees. They're always brain dead and rather annoyed when they actually have to do some work. They often walk past customers quickly and look away instead of asking politely if help was needed. But...They dont, why? Because most just can't right now. What a mystery! I asked the young man to help me select a printer. But each printer I looked at, he discouraged me from buying. He told me that ink will not be available until next March, including on Amazon. He also told me that I would be spending $200 for ink. He really did NOT want me to buy anything. I checked on Amazon for several types of ink - all of them in stock and ready for immediate delivery. Then I stopped in at another Staples in Solana Beach, where I met a helpful young lady who cheerfully sold me a printer and ink (cost of ink was $35). Terrible customer service! I came right when they opened and had a few questions about printing something in the store. It was like pulling teeth trying to get one of the 3 girls to help me. They were too busy gossiping and taking selfies. Once one girl finally decided to help me she just pointed me at a computer in the corner. You have to slide your debit card first because they charge .30$ a minute to use it. I was on the computer for about 30 seconds before I realized it will not print what I wanted. Maybe if the girls could have answered my questions I would have been charged $2.80 for absolutely nothing! I didn't know how much I was charged until I checked my bank account of course. This place was a waste of time & energy!!! Got printing needs? Gotta create handmade invitations (x100)? DON'T GO TO STAPLES! 1. Came in the night before to print out invites but they CanNot print directly onto anything other than standard sizes like 8.5x11 (I had packages from Michaels of 4x5.5-when folded in half). If I had a printer at home, it woulda been no problem 2. So I come in the next day with my formatted-to-print-8.5x11 files on usb; I figure I'll have them print the party details onto vellum (which I had to go to Michael's to buy cuz they didn't sell them!) then I'd cut them to fit onto my designed invites... Well, hello! That woulda worked fine if I hadn't created my layout with pretty fonts! Despite the fact that I also had the font file on my drive, they cannot install fonts - "for security reasons". WTF?!!! 3. For their copy & print services; (a)They should be able to print onto ALL FORMATS of paper (b)They should be able to copy any file- AS IT WAS DESIGNED!
