Nick and the entire team are awesome, patient, kind, FUN. We made several trips in over a couple days and each time they were warm, welcoming, and eager to serve in a timely fashion. read more

When we got there everything was fine, nothing out of the ordinary, they took my son to the eye doctor and got out fine. My son found two glasses that he really liked and they took us to the pricing, but then they gave us a the prices very rude and they just had the most expensive prices ever, my recommendation is just go to Costco or anywhere else but here. read more

Great deal on an Eye exam and two free pairs of glasses or I guess it's a free Eye exam and the glasses you pay for but it's only like $69.

The staff here are very helpful and knowledgeable about frames and style. They will be honest and help you if you're struggling to find just the right frame. They're super quick in their service, but sloppy with their work. When I got my new glasses, the lenses weren't even properly in the frames, I had to adjust them. Anything additional, don't expect it to be included. Their selection is huge though and you will have a hard time deciding so make sure you plan to spend some time in here. read more

It's clear to see (Pun intended) that Stanton Optical is THE place to go for glasses. I went today and I could not be happier with my experience! Every person I talked to was kind, informed and very happy to be there! I got a great deal and felt comfortable all the way through! This place will make you feel comfortable so you can be sure that you are getting the look that you want, not something you're pressured into choosing. Thank you so much SO! read more

I rather not see than go here ever again. Not because of the prices or the glasses but the horrible horrible customer service especially by a girl name ameena & funny thing is the manger was even a bigger bum than her! Y'all go pay 75 @ target also you get a nice side of respect! read more

go here & ask for Nick S.! BY FAR THE BEST HELP YOU WILL EVER RECEIVE WHEN SELECTING FRAMES. CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH. Patient, nice & helpful. Beyond the scope of his job requirements- to an extreme. Nick stayed after hours to ensure that I was happy with my selection. Really really could not have a more helpful person with choosing frames. It can be challenging and frustrating when things aren't working, it's easy to give up. Nick is able to give constructive information about lens shape, what works and what doesn't. Would have definitely purchased elsewhere if it wasn't for his patience and help finding the perfect frames for me. Thank you for your help! read more

Its nice that their deal for glasses is so cheap but they played me a couple years ago and told me I needed to pay an extra $20 because the person who does the eye exam "doesnt get paid for lunch". I was naive and a lot younger so i just went with it. Honestly im paying $130 in a couple days at eyeglassworld just because I will never give you my business ever again lol. You guys really messed up and are completely unethical. read more

My 1st time here and the entire staff was extremely friendly. Eddie helped close out the process and he helped me get what I needed while still staying with in my budget. I'll be back for my yearly exam. read more

I rarely write reviews but I want to help others who have never went through this process before. They were quick to get you in the chair to take their "free eye exam" (not free) and not quick to actually help answer questions about insurance. They were quick to say my insurance does not cover the exam (though it does), get me to pay, and say that I can fax my info to my insurance company to get reimbursed. I had to pay about $130 out of pocket for 2 exams (just the exams) and they still tried to sell me on their promotions to buy glasses. Don't do an exam without them checking if your insurance can cover some of your visit FIRST. Don't let them pressure you into doing anything before that step or you will come out of pocket paying more than you expected too. Do not make the same mistake I made. I will not be returning read more

Two times my wife and I went in for glasses over a 2 year period, both times they got us great deals. Brought the price way down talking through options. Other places did not have this good level of service! read more

I have to share my most appreciation to Stanton Optical and their awesome staff. Mariela was able to help get my prescription order for contacts. I have been using corrective lenses for years and most recently have had to use my glasses more often since I had ran out of my contacts. As a new nurse starting her career in a pandemic, I struggled having to wear PPE without my glasses fogging up and ensuring my glasses would stay in place without touching my face. The place I would buy them locally, is closed due to this pandemic and I was unable to get what I needed. When I contacted Mariela, she right away helped placed my order and even better was more affordable than I paid with insurance. I have to say I am so thankful and grateful for the friendly quick service. Thank you for taking the precautions needed and staying open during this time. May you all stay healthy and safe. I know from here on out I will be coming back for all of my vision needs. read more

Do. Not. Go . Here. Worst service I've ever had. Receptionist is awful. They don't tell you anything. Don't ask for insurance. I sat for twenty minutes waiting for someone to come over. Overall, unhelpful. read more

My experience w/Stanton Optical in Santee has been amazing! I've worn glasses for yrs & last few yrs used only Costco but Stanton prices caught my attention. So happy I decided to try them. Prices were so low w/all additions I thought they made a mistake. The staff is wonderful, helpful & all around nice. I highly recommend Stanton Optical for all your eyewear needs. Addendum: Have had to take glasses to be readjusted for falling asleep w/'em on & frame tweaked x3 (I'm a voracious reader - 2 to 4 books/week) Each time they've treated me well beyond my expectation, never impatient. Lost 1 pair recently, they went out of their way to provide temporary single vision while I wait for replacement & gave me a sizable discount on new pair. I can't say enough good things about them. Just be patient if they're busy as they're worth the wait & will go out of their way to make your experience the best possible. You won't regret giving them your business & recommending to your friends... read more

Had a lot of fun with the staff at this location. Can't say I've ever had "fun" getting new glasses, but the people here are very friendly. Thank you, Matt, Patricia, the eye doctor, and everyone else for cracking me up and making the process easy! My glasses were done in a week. Also, they had some great promotions. read more

I had a great experience at the Santee Stanton Optical. They were very friendly and quick. Matthew was a great help and very easy to talk to and very informative of the cost break down. I got two pairs of glasses, one the same day in about 15 mins and one with transition lenses. Good value overall and excellent customer service! read more

I can't rave enough about Stanton Optical Santee! I've worn glasses for the last 20 years. I've gone to numerous optical houses, even CostCo, but the best service and product and price all came from Stanton Optical! Cody helped me find SO many killer frames that I had a hard time narrowing it down...so hard that I still left with 4 different frames! I've never owned more than one frame before, but now I have options depending on mood/outfit. Thank you, Cody, you have a good eye! ;) read more

Ameen is an awesome employee. He was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Stanton optical.

Highly recommended! Mariela is amazing she has excellent customer service skills and I am a very happy customer. Even with the pandemic that we are currently experiencing I received my glasses very fast and I absolutely love them! Their customer service is excellent! I will be using Stanton from now on as I had a great experience with them. The staff is courteous, polite, and extremely helpful. read more

Our experience with Stanton was disappointing to say the least. Husband and I each got a regular pair and sunglasses and all 4 were busted within a year. Literally broken in half. And we had not chosen from the budget line so they were not at all inexpensive. I can not recommended them less, and am only giving them 2 stars because the staff was great. read more

Riley greeted me as soon as I walked in and got me set up with my exam! While waiting for the doc Jerry helped me by telling me about the sales and directing to frames to start trying on! The doc was quick and thorough also very nice! I had my rx quickly and was out browsing again where Jerry gave me his undivided attention! He was knowledgeable and kept me from getting to overwhelmed! Once I found my frames he laid out the pricing so I could understand! I got 4 frames for 250 dollars! That's how much my last single pair of frames cost! Not to mention I picked them up the same day after 2 hours! This was an amazing experience thank you Jerry! You're the best!!!!! read more

This was my first and last time going here. They promised a phone call when my glasses arrived. I never received a phone call. I WENT IN on my own and my glasses were there. I am still waiting for my second pair. It has been two weeks and still no call. read more

Am sorry but when they screw up the prescription, then they should expedite order. Waited two weeks only to find out the had my Doctor screwed up script wrong from the exam which was virtual. Then was using my old frames for second pair, when I went back next day the already shipped them out. 3 weeks and I had o stop in to find Oh you didn't receive text....umm no, how about calling customer? I then had to do another exam, they then cut new lenses for the new frame. Waited two weeks ONLY TO find they used the old script....your kidding right? Well I asked why didn't you call lab with new script? Oh we can't, we don't have a number to call them....wait what? Now I have to wait ANOTHER 2 weeks, so 3 weeks first round 2 weeks for second set, only to find they are wrong now ANOTHER TWO WEEKS for the correction that could have been prevented....simple phone call. 7 weeks is unacceptable for optical company..... DON'T USE THEM.... STAY AWAY PERIOD. That old saying paying more is sometimes better in the case YES. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! read more

Dont even think about buying glasses here. Whatever the advertised "deal" only offers about 3 frame choices. So in order to get the frames my son wanted we had to choose frames that were an "upgrade" from the advertised deal frames. My wife had originally taken my son in to get the eye exam and pick out new glasses. She had also explained to me about the "upgrade" frames and how it all came to $200. My wife does not wear glasses. I do. So i was rather surprised when i went in to pick up these so called "upgraded" frames for my son. Ive honestly purchased sunglasses on the 2 for $10 rack at 7-11 that were better quality than these frames. Im pretty sure these frames are made by the same company that makes Mcdonalds Happy Meal toy glasses. They are cheap and flimsy and feel like they are going to fall apart in your hand. We had to send one of the pairs back because it was already missing a piece as soon as the guy opened the case. This place must make a fortune because these frames couldnt cost much more than 50 cents to manufacture. P.S. Your commercial is an obvious rip off of Mogatu from Zoolander. read more

Overall, a bad experience. I'd recommend you take your business elsewhere. First off, no one communicated to us the essential details of their promotions. When I called to make an appointment, the receptionist asked, "Are you calling to book your free eye exam?" I replied that I was, and booked two consecutive appointments, one for me and one for my wife. Turns out, the exams become "free" when they refund the cost after you purchase frames from them. That's fine, but would have been nice to know beforehand. Instead, after our "free eye exams" we were simply told, "That'll be $90" - no explanation. A bit confusing. After the eye exam, I asked for printed copies of our prescriptions. They were very reluctant to give them, instead encouraging me to browse their great frame selection. Eventually, they relented and we were given copies. We did end up buying four frames from them. I bought a pair of distance glasses and a pair of sunglasses. My wife (a first time glasses user who'd always had great vision) got a pair of distance glasses and a pair of readers. (The doctor had issued a prescription for each.) We were told the glasses would all be available for pickup "after 11:00 on Monday." We showed up at 2:00 on Monday and were handed only two pairs. We were missing my sunglasses and my wife's readers. I was told my sunglasses would be ready in another half hour and that they were working on finding my wife's misplaced readers. While they were searching for her readers, my wife tried on her new distance glasses, only to discover that they didn't improve her vision whatsoever. She said, they were slightly worse, if anything. A manager came over to address the situation. She informed my wife that the difference seems negligible because it's "such a minor, baby prescription." She explained that the doctor who gave the exam probably mentioned that she didn't actually need them. (The doctor had mentioned no such thing.) That would have been nice to know. Meanwhile, after lots of scrambling and nervous intercommunication, they eventually found my wife's lost readers in the bin marked "M". (There's no "m" anywhere in my wife's name.) We were then told that my sunglasses (which were supposed to be finished 3 and 1/2 hours ago) would actually be another hour. We returned an hour later to pickup my sunglasses. They were ready, but I was surprised to see that there was a fairly obvious chip in the brand-new lens. When I pointed it out, they did offer to make it right. But the fact that they handed me chipped glasses added to the general impression of incompetence. Credit where credit is due: My distance glasses and my wife's readers were fine. The employee that checked us out was very friendly and helpful. When we decided to return my wife's unnecessary distance glasses, they refunded us the difference, without argument. (These are the reasons this isn't a one-star review.) Overall, they just seem like a sloppy, incompetent outfit. Something went wrong with just about everything they did. Also - a minor side-point - I don't think they ever vacuum. After we left, my wife pointed out that the trash on the floor is clearly visible from the street as you drive by. One more mark in the "sloppy and incompetent" column. It was a bummer. Had hoped it would be better. We won't be back. read more

I cannot believe the great deal I got on two pairs of glasses. Normally I would spend that amount on one pair. The salesman Joseph was great and very nice. In fact both of the gentlemen who helped me were great. I will certainly recommend this place to anyone who need glasses. I paid a lot less than I would have at Walmart or Costco. Plus their selection is awesome. I tend to be picky about frames, but this place has the nicest frames. And the eyeglasses were ready after only one day. read more

Cons: I didn't like the virtual doctor thing. Unfortunately I wasn't given the option when I made the appointment so when I showed up and was taken back into the room, you can imagine my surprise when she came up on the television to begin the exam. I like the in-person service which is only on Tuesdays but again I was never told that during my phone call. Pros: There were many options in glasses styles! I've been to some in the past that only had a few options and most were outdated. Cute, different options from which to choose! Also, the mask was able to be taken off during the exam so that was a big win! read more

I came in to Stanton Optical a week ago to get the 2 for 59 deal they have posted all over the windows. I was greeted by Jonathan who was very nice and told me about the buy one get one free promotion, and showed me the 2 for 59 as well. The selection wasn't bad but it wasn't what I was looking for. After my exam Jonathan helped me find frames and made things so much more easier for me. He knew exactly what I was looking for! I just felt like he was really hearing me out. He then introduce me to the store manager who was also really nice and offer me the free frame club because I mention my sister also needs glasses. I spent more then I wanted but left happy with my glasses! Thanks again Jonathan read more

As a first time customer here, I was not too thrilled about my experience. First, I waited 30 or more minutes for an eye exam when I had an appointment. Once I did get an exam the nurse and eye doctor were both very pleasant and apologized for the wait. After my exam I again waited 30 minutes for someone to help me pick out frames and help get me checked out. There were plenty of employees sitting at desks not even acknowledging me. Once I was helped the girl was very helpful and sweet. On the plus I got my glasses the same night. I am iffy on returning to this location and company. read more

Not impressed . this place is loud & busy, feels like a disco rather than a Dr Office . I could barely hear myself think nor concentrate.. not at all the atmosphere expected when having your eyes examined and spending a couple hundred dollars. The staff and doctor seemed to work well under the circumstances but as a patient it felt rushed and unprofessional. I will not be going back read more

Everyone here is super help and nice especially Destinee. I got two pairs of glasses for a good deal.

I'm not going to lie I was a little put off when I called their call center to make an appointment. The person I spoke to seemed very rushed and pushy. A friend had recommended this place though, so I went ahead anyways. Everyone at this location was very nice though! Ashley was super sweet and patient as I tried on 900 pairs of glasses and commented that I looked like Linda from Bobs Burgers. I planned on getting the 2 pairs for $69 deal, but that selection was rather limited. I still got two pairs (buy one get one) and the price was super affordable ($232 out the door). The biggest perk was that I got the glasses same day! read more

Well, I am a skeptic, so when I heard about 2 pairs of eyeglasses AND an eye exam for $59. I called Stanton Optical - scheduled an appointment and drove to Santee. I was greeted warmly (Jaydee) and given a most impressive eye exam (Dr. Tonnu) and instead of being shown three frames (as I expected) was directed to an 8' wall of frames ALL included in the special pricing. I was not pressured to add special coatings or tints (just TV glasses!)to the lenses - I paid my $59. NO hidden fees or extras... Twenty minutes later I walked out of the store with TWO cool new pairs of eyeglasses. Thank you Jaydee and Stanton! I was thrilled and impressed! I am now telling everyone who will listen! read more

I loved everything about my experience at Stanton Optical in Santee. I made my appointment online the night before, it was so simple. I was greeted immediately and taken back for my eye exam. After my exam, Ashley (frame specialist) walked me through the vast selection of glasses and helped me pick out the frames that fit me best. She was so patient, and helpful! Once I picked out my frames, they were able to put in the lenses immediately and my glasses were ready in 20 minutes! Thank you Stanton Optical for such a smooth experience, I will definitely be back! :) read more

I went by Stanton today because I saw they where advertising that you can get 2 pairs of glasses and a free eye exam for $69 The deal really is you can get any two pairs of frames/lenses for the price of the highest price. Of course there's add-on I wanted progressive lenses, anti glare When I finally picked out two pairs of frames (over 3000) to pick from. I found one for $149 the other $109 the progressive lens start at another $100-$200 more the anti glare is another $69. I thought at the time that was a bit steep. I had all ready checked with Costco and could get a designer pair of frames and lenses with all the extras for $300. I would have to pay an additional $60 for a exam at Costco. When I let them know that there price of $515 was way out of line they offered me both pairs with all the extras plus the exam for $250 out the door. Unbelievable So I'll have them in 7-10 business days and will follow up with the a review of my overall review read more
