Small office with AMAZING customer service. Jessica promptly returned my voicemail and scheduled my appointment. My glasses prescription didn't change but I wanted to take advantage of my vision benefits and get a back up pair of glasses. Asked to be pointed to the frames that wouldn't cost me out of pocket and there was no hesitation showing me which ones and helped me pick a pair I love. I got a call to schedule an appointment to pick up my glasses less than 2 weeks after my visit. Tried them on and I was on my way pretty quick. They are kind, patient, friendly, professional, helpful, and, perhaps most importantly, they LISTEN, and they ask questions to understand anything on which they might be unclear. This place is the best optometrist I've ever experienced. They are very patient and accommodating. I get weird anxiety about having machines to close to my eye and still have haunting nightmares of the burst of air from my old eye doctor. When I came here, they don't have anything that bothered my eye or freaked me out! I also had to exchange my frames as I felt I chose the wrong style for my face and they gladly assisted me without making me feel like a burden. My family has been coming here since before I was born when Marvin Kasanoff was the Optometrist. As an adult, I have moved to Riverside and no longer reside in San Diego. I have tried 2 times to go elsewhere that would be easier for me to get glasses or contacts but nothing compares to New View. Me as well as the rest of my family, although we do not live in SD anymore, continue to choose to drive to SD to see Dr. Kasanoff. The office staff, Dina and Jessica have always been there and have always been super sweet and accommodating. It has been taken over (for a loooong time) by his son, David Kasanoff. Dr. David is amazing and so kind. It is always such a nice experience coming for an annual eye exam and getting new glasses. Every single time, Dina, Jessica, and sometimes even Dr. David will participate in the montage of eyeglass options and help select the right pair for me. They called back a week upon receiving my glasses to make sure I was happy with them! The store is clean and well kept and the optometrist had great bed side manners. I've been going to Dr. Kasanoff at New View for almost four years now, possibly longer! I love everything about this office, from office to the sweet staff to the amazing selection of brand name frames that they offer. I recommend them to all of my friends and family. Nancy and Jessica are amazing. My first visit there, they recognized my last name and mentioned that my cousin had seen them before. Who, ironically, was the one that told me to check them out. Ever since my first visit, the staff has always remembered me and addressed me by first name, even when I just pop in to fix a knick in my glasses. This really makes each experience great. The office is exceptionally clean and very spacious. When you walk in, there are lots of waiting room seats and tons of frames to browse through. They carry all types of brands such as Bebe, Ferragamo, Ray Bans, and more! There's also a big parking lot so you're never in a bind for parking. I've seen Dr. Kasanoff for annual exams and have had regular prescription glasses, prescription sunglasses AND contacts with him. Over the past few years, I really appreciate how everyone in the office makes sure that you're good and secure before you walk out. They ask in depth questions about your lifestyle to recommend the best option they have to offer. It makes the experience even more enjoyable. I accidentally broke my glasses last year and they replaced them the same day with the same frame with a warranty. Even after I got them replaced, the lens popped out and they took them back in without a question to fix! I also got contacts lenses from this office, recently. With this service, the staff at the office makes sure that you're completely comfortable in your lenses and that you're trained to wear contacts. Everyone there are very informative when it comes to questions. Nancy did a great job training me how to use my contacts, in terms of application and removal. Each one of my visits at New View Optometric Center has been amazing. I will continue to visit them while I still live in San Diego. I called when they opened on Monday, because of a concerning eye issue that happened over the weekend, and Jessica was able to fit me in early the same day. I have been going to New View Optometric Center for a few years. I am wearing my new glasses today (computer use), and it is amazing how well I can see. Last year I went in and put a deposit down on some classes and told them I had a pair of frames at home I wanted to use. I never went back to deliver the frames because of Covid. It was a pleasant surprise as they gave me that credit on my account and I left their offices spending a little over $25 for two pairs of glasses today. The staff is friendly, generous with their time and the Dr. knows what he is doing. He also spends a lot of his time and money on the newest technology so if something is going sideways with your vision, he can take care of it sooner than later. I've been wearing glasses since I was a teenager in the early 90s. I've been to DOZENS of optometrists in that time frame. By far, New View has been my favorite. I've been coming here for the last 4 years or so. Not only is Dr. Kasanoff amazing, but he's real. He tells you how it is when it comes to your eye health. The good, the bad and the ugly. Haven't been to the eye doctor since college, had a feeling my vision had changed. Sure enough it did and everything Dr. Kasanoff mentioned made sense with what I was seeing/feeling. They were able to send my current frames in for new lenses (with the warning that older frames could potentially break, that's fine they're 9+ years old lol) but had a bunch of options throughout the lobby incase you're in need of new frames. Will be going back for some prescription sunglasses soon! ALSO! They don't use that poof of air in you're eye thing! read more

12/2017 - Just completed an eye exam and ordered a new pair of glasses. As always the office staff made me feel that they were genuinely happy to see me. I really feel comfortable and at ease during the eye exam. Jessica is such a professional when running the various tests that I am never nervous or concerned. Dr. Kasanoff is so personable and knowledgeable. He explains the test results in layman's terms so I can fully understand how my eyesight is doing and changes if any I can expect in the future.
