Dr. Peters is very knowledgeable and so easy to talk to about my eye concerns. She described in detail of what I would need in order to have a better quality of (vision) life. Her office staff, especially Lucia, are so kind as well. Lucia was patient with me when choosing my frames and answered all my insurance questions and concerns. She's super friendly as well! My experience was a 10/10 and would recommend this office to friends & family! read more

I have been going to Dr. Cauchi for over 20 years. Her skills and knowledge are exceptional. Even though I have my medical coverage through Kaiser, it has been well worth it to work with Dr. Cauchi. She is well known in the field of eye care and I trust her 100%. read more

Drs. Peters and Cauchi are great! I've been going to them for more than ten years now with outstanding service every time.

Dr. Cauchi is the best!!! She is patient, very knowledgeable, interesting funny and friendly. I've been coming to her for 30 years plus. read more

Absolutely loved Dr. Peters! She was very kind and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable in their office. Staff super friendly. Cant say enough nice things about Vision Solutions. I should add that my sister has been coming to them for 20plus years and raves about them as well. All around great experience. You don't need to look any further ;-) read more

What an amazing experience. I have always wore glasses or contacts for as long as I can remember. I have never had such a wonderful experience visiting a new office. Making the appointment was super easy, staff was very friendly and professional. I had an 8am appt, which I was greeted by the actual Dr, she unlocked and greeted me at the door. Which goes to tell you a lot about a professionals character. Getting to the room for the exam took less than 5minutes. When Dr Peters came into the room, she was very lively, easy to speak to, made sure she was very thorough with what she was going to do, and helped me see again. She took her time, never rushed, and reassured me I would leave there being able to see. If you're looking for an eye dr, please come here! You will not be disappointed! read more

We were looking for Orth-K/CRT treatment for my son and visited this office, the doctor was with us for only a few minutes when she kept telling us my son's previous treatment didn't work much and we should go with Orth-K, the price they quoted us was more than $3000, this is double of what we got in Bay Area about one year ago. We also looked the frames which were pretty expensive too, and non of them are for kids but the assistant kept recommending them to us.... We went to another office eventually and the cost was quite reasonable to us. I don't want to be mean, but this is the worst doctor office we visited ever. read more

My first attempt to find a decent eye Dr. in CA, with Vision Solutions, La Mesa, was a terrible experience. First, I called and made an appointment for 11am a few weeks in advance. Soon after, received emails regarding my scheduled appointment @ 10:30am. I chose it just ignore their scheduling mistake and go with it. On appointment day, I showed up and was met with an incredibly rude employee peppering me with questions on why I didn't bring my existing contacts. No one told me to bring anything to the exam. She kept going on and on about how they will have to do 'everything' since I didn't bring contacts. Excuse me...what? Is that not your job, to give a complete eye exam? I went on to explain that I never had to bring contacts to ANY previous eye appointments back on the East coast. To which she responded, "well, this is not Walmart" -- I personally never went to Walmart for an eye appointment, but who cares if I did or if anyone does, and why try to be insulting at all? I ended up walking out immediately after that interaction without going through the exam - I simply cannot support a business that treats ANYONE poorly. read more

Dr Cauchi was the only optometrist I found who could help my eyes (post-Lasik, astigmatism) get fitted for comfy contacts. She's smart and fun to talk to. They did have some staff turnover at first which made getting some lenses challenging because someone (who's no longer there) didn't do their job, but it all got sorted and now seems to be fine. I'd recommend if you have special eye needs. read more

Dr. Peters was very thorough & knowledgeable in doing eye exams for both my husband and I. The staff at Vision Solutions were also very helpful and very nice. We got in and out in a timely manner. Also Dr. Peters has up to date equipment and she showed us photos of our eyes and explained in detail what the photos showed. We have never experienced such great service as this! read more

My prescription safety glasses broke and I need them to work. Jamie Peters & team had the specifications required for my job and got me the glasses fast. The lenses are perfect, I needed transition lenses with anti-glare etc... The exam was also more thorough than I have had at any other office. Thanks! read more

We have had the best customer service here. I've only been here twice once for my kids and now for me. They are family! Sweetest most caring people. they were so calm and collected with my daughter. The best! read more

What a wonderful experience from beginning to end! The support staff there was SO friendly and patient. I have had some issues with my eyes in the past, thankfully nothing major, however I was still nervous about an exam after 4 years. Dr. Peters was wonderful and put me at ease. She addressed specific questions and thankfully, all is good with my eyes. I will definitely be going back to Vision Solutions. read more

So I'm pretty disappointed in this practice. I've been seeing Dr. Cauchi for a few years now. After receiving two voicemails and a text message saying I'm due for my vision check, I call and find she's decided to focus on pediatrics and special lens patients and won't take my appointment(?). Instead, I was spun off to see someone else "who is much more available for appointments". Starting at square one, having to find a new optometrist is a bummer. This, after I recently referred family members to Dr. Cauchi (who apparently will also now need to find someone else). Typically a doctor will see existing patients and not accept new ones. Am I a little offended that I got spun off, sure. Thanks a bunch. read more

I've called this place twice to make an appointment the first time I can understand because it overlaps the last time I had a visit with a second time I don't know who it was some lady named Alice just did not seem to want to take the time to take my information as a new patient, I understand medical billing .. that's because I am a medical biller so I understand how insurance works you on the other hand do not need to be rude to new PT that call in! Maybe you should stop and listen and look before you say that a person can not be found! read more

Stop looking for an Optometrist, this is the office you want to go to! First (and probably most important) is they are never late in accepting you for your appointment time. If you are to be seen at 2 PM, you will get in at 2 PM. That, my friends, is excellent service that I have never got at any other eye doctor. The office staff is totally cool and very personable. If you are lucky enough to be seen by Alexis, you can feel at ease. She is very knowledgeable about her profession and enjoys taking the time to get to know you and explain what they are doing and why it is so important. I appreciate the time they take to make each visit as good as possible. Dr. Peters is amazing. Her attention to detail has not been surpassed and believe me, you want that in an eye doctor! She has a great personality and has an amazing ability to make you feel important as a person and customer. Make an eye appointment today, your eyes shouldn't wait. :-) read more

It was that time again to get the eyes check and as usual. It was great. Dr Peters is the best! Not only does she know what she's talking about, but really cares about your well being. I drive an hour each way to get my eyes checked by her and the Visions Solutions team. Well worth it! Picked out the new sunglasses with support from her staff and feel like I could not be in better hands. Thank you everyone! read more

The staff and doctors were polite, kid friendly office, prompt and on time. The take Tricare. Inquisitive explanned things thoroughly. I enjoyed my visit with Dr.Cauchi read more

I was referred here by Dr Arabo at Kaiser because I require sclera lenses. They are very helpful and friendly and they billed my insurance correctly. Dr Peters is AWESOME! And so is her staff. I have no complaints about this place and I recommend them to all my friends and family. Like I said I need sclera lenses and I had never wore them before they are a little tricky to get used to but the staff here made sure to explain everything thoroughly and were really patient. They are knowledgeable in the field of eye wear. I have only great things to say about them. I always have a great experience. If you are local to the Dan Diego area this is where you should go. read more

You have a customer for life!!! and a big shout-out to Nick -- assistant to Dr. Cauchi -- soft spoken, polite, caring, and made me feel "at home" instantly -- you rock, Nick!! I have been seeing Dr. Cauchi at Vision Solutions for more than 35 years. She is excellent. Very knowledgeable and through. She keeps up to date on technology/equipment and always spends extra time answering all of my questions. I highly recommend this doctor/staff. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Cauchi's for over 25 years. She is simply THE BEST! I never feel rushed in and out or that I am just a random patient to her. Every single other person I have encountered at VS is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They take the time to make sure that you are taken care of, and that all of your questions are answered. I had my annual exam and contact lens check today and Dr. Cauchi and Alexis took great care of me from start to finish! Also, don't arrive expecting to catch up on your magazine reading. I don't think I've ever waited more than 90 seconds before being called to come on back for my appointment. They run a tight ship, which is great. I recommend Vision Solutions 100%! read more

I was looking for an eye doctor for my dad and found Vision Solutions. Dr. Peters was thorough in examining my dad's eyes and my dad was extremely pleased when he left the office. I recently decided to give it a shot for myself and I'm just as pleased. Dr Peters is amazing with a very friendly staff. And a bonus for me.....they play country music!!! read more

I've been going to Dr. Cauchi for many many years. My kids have also been going to her and Dr. Peters for a very long time. They have great staff and many of them have been there a long time. Myself, my husband and two of our kids are patients of Dr. Peters. I really appreciate the way she explains things. My favorite part of this practice is Yara. She is knowledge, friendly, hard-working and simply a joy to talk to. She has gone above and beyond in her attempt to solve my challenging correction needs. All without forcing me to sacrifice my style! Keep up the great work! read more

The girl at the front desk is rude! Go to the Grossmont mall, super friendly ladies!!!

I was very impressed by this office and staff. Everyone was friendly and prompt, and the doctor explained everything very thoroughly during the exam. Also, no hard pressure to buy their frames, etc. I was more than pleased and felt like I was very well treated. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I'm so glad to have found this gem via Yelp! I had been procrastinating on getting a vision exam for the past couple years and I couldn't have picked a better place to go. I was seen by Dr. Cauchi who is so sweet and compassionate. I could tell that she truly cares for her patients because I have been to other optometrists who didn't bother providing any long-term solutions regarding the pterygium in both my eyes. Dr. Cauchi provided a realistic solution and was adamant that I did my homework so that she could make any necessary referrals; I know I am in good hands now moving forward. Additionally, I had the opportunity to meet with Alexis who assisted me in picking out new frames. I can be so indecisive at times and Alexis made my experience go smoothly and enjoyable. Who would've thought that I could pick out a pair of frames that I truly liked in less than thirty minutes? All thanks to Alexis and her great sense of fashion and expertise. Thank you again Alexis! If you are looking for a place where your well-being is priority than look no further. Whether it's an eye exam or time for new frames/contacts I highly recommend Vision Solutions. Thank you again to Dr. Cauchi, Alexis and staff for the pleasant experience and I look forward to returning again soon. read more

Love this place and the staff! I took my boyfriend for an appointment and was really impressed at how knowledgeable they seemed about everything. I noticed I was developing some dry eye issues with my eye and they seemed to know way more about it than my last eye doctor. So I decided to give them a try myself and I was so impressed with all the tests! I really felt like the doctor knew my situation and could really help me. I found out something new about my eyes that my old doctor never caught. They left me with some eye homework (more like excersizes lol) to strengthen my eye muscles and steps that I will be taking to help my painful dry eye situation. I was set up with a cute new pair of glasses too! Really recommend this place to anyone!! read more

I've been going to Dr. Cauchi for 20 years... maybe more. I have nothing but praise for her and her office. She is funny, thorough, and a great communicator. I am very happy I chose Vision Solutions! I got contacts for the very first time and had Sandy be very patient with me and was one of the best teachers to show me how to put in and take out my contacts. Dr. Cauchi is simply the best Optometrist I have ever been to. What a difference from the old guy that I used to see. She has the latest equipment and through the retinal exam, she found the beginnings of Macular Degeneration. But there is good news! There are steps that I can take to slow it or even reverse it! That is great news considering my husband is already legally blind becasue of this and I want to preserve my sight if at all possible. I will be seeing her from now forward and I highly recommend her to everyone! read more

I am 79 and have used both Drs. Cauchi and Peters for some ten years. My sight is precious to me. At my age I have seen a lot of optometrists; these two are the finest. They have provided first-rate expertise, and have helped me deal with various vision problems in a timely, knowledgeable, and pleasant manner. Their extraordinary service has involved making room in a schedule for an unexpected problem, personalized phone contact when necessary, and an office atmosphere which is not only caring, but fun. read more
