I had paid for 3.rd time my glasses broke so I had to get the frames for the 3rd time and the date I was supposed to get them they still weren't ready due to some problem with the frames. Not very happy with the whole experience of my glasses falling apart more than once. And After i paid over $200 just for the old prescription on file for new lenses to be put in the frames not ready the date they are supposed to be and then they tell me they don't know when they will be ready and they will call me when they are ready really sets me back. I broke my beautiful glasses frames that I got here and Nick and Maggie came to my rescue not only did they instantly give me new frames and pop my lenses right in them but they gave him a power bath and now it's like I have brand new eyes again! Initially the staff is friendly. However, the glasses do not work well for me. At the same time, I was told I will need cataract surgery fairly soon. I was given a flyer with several eye doctors in the area, also told that they did not know if these doctors accepted MEDI-CAL. So NONE of the doctors on this list accepts MEDI-CAL. I paid over $450.00 dollars for two pairs of glasses at Stanton. I've kept one, although it is not working well for me. I am trying to cancel the second pair, which has still not been made yet. I've been told several times that the office is going thru some sort of system "change" and has caused problems. This has been a very expensive and unhappy experience. I am willing to pay for the first pair of glasses (although they are not working for me), but I should get my money reimbursed for the second pair, which has not arrived yet. Overpriced and inaccurate measurements via telemedicine. My new prescription doesn't work and I'm out hundreds of dollars. The experience was very robotic. Minimal interaction and everything took so long. Just paying my bill took an hour to enter and the pick up was just as bad. Buyer beware! Though the staff demonstrated friendly service to the customer, there were a myriad of cascading failures: (1) Stanton Optical's email notification that the spectacles are ready for pick up is misleading; after I arrived at the Santee Store, the employee could not locate the spectacle even though it was checked in; (2) Store manager lacked customer service and integrity when he promised to contact me the same day on the whereabouts of the missing spectacles; (3) Store lacked process discipline, accountability and training on how to document, process, and track shipping and receiving of spectacles; and (4) Attention to detail was lacking from the regional manager to the store manager; when the regional manager refunded the cost of two prescription spectacles because his store manager failed to contact me about the missing spectacles, he failed to transcribe the prescription accurately into the Stanton Optical database; after I wore the spectacles, a junior employee discovered the grave error. This junior employee saved me from returning to the store for the fourth time because this week the second spectacle. I was satisfied with the junior employee's customer service and professionalism. Buyer beware and go elsewhere; save yourself hours and days of frustration and fill your prescriptions at LensCrafters, Costco or at your optometrist. Jenna and her team have always been so good to me. I was there to order regular glasses and sunglasses. I was nervous going in, as I had never ordered prescription sunglasses before and their customer service was outstanding. The exam went smoothly, and picking out glasses and sunglasses with the whole team was a breeze. I did purchase the warranty for the frame and lenses, which initially I was not sure if I would need. I am SO GLAD THAT I DID, because guess what I bent my frames. I went back in recently and the replacement process was very simple and straightforward. I was met with a smile from all of the staff and Jenna assisted me with the replacement of the frames! So I need to update this review. After 8 return trips all I can say is the customer service is great, the deals, selection and prices were great. NO Quality Control on their product is taking place. No one is making sure all edges, lens, and frames are smooth and blemish fee, the lens are clear and not blurred or different prescription strengths. I had nothing but problems, starting with my first appointment prescription over the video not being accurate at all and going down hill from there. I got a partial refund but still ended up out one of the pair of glasses, paid for 2, but I didn't even want them back at that point, after they were scratched there while there getting "fixed'. I am giving two stars because the ophthalmologist was great at this location. The techs that tested me for glaucoma had to test me 10 times before asking if I had contacts in. Then after taking them out they still couldn't get a good reading. The glasses I bought were expensive & not that great. My mom got two pairs of glasses & one was made right, but the other pair she could not see out of. My friend bought two pairs. He brought one pair back because the lens fell out. The girl took his glasses in the back & when she brought them out had broken the frames. They ordered new frames without the lenses in them. The new frames arrived & the lenses don't fit because his glasses were discontinued. We have spent a small fortune between the three of us for poor quality. I do not recommend buying your glasses here. Get your prescription & go else where. I have wore glasses/contacts since 2nd grade and this is the most disorganized place I have ever been. I use to love going to Stanton. Lately over the years, they have switched to remote optometrist. Let me tell you, that's the worst mistake they could have done. My prescription for contact lens is normally stable and has been the same for both eyes and it hasn't changed in years. Now ever since they switched to remote, my prescription is now stronger by like -2.5 on one eye??? Note: The other is the same. I even asked them to clean the glass during the eye exam for the left eye because it was already smeared and dirty and I strongly believe it was affecting my results. The lady did not understand and told me to continue with my exam. I wish I would've asked for a re-exam. Fast forward to one year later, my left eye (the one with the stronger contact lens prescription) is now significantly weaker and I can't see out of my glasses, ever since that exam. A second instance, I placed an order last Friday and they told me it would be ready by Wednesday (3 business days). I called in on Friday (exactly 1 week) asking them what's the status on my order, and they said it barely just got shipped and I won't receive it till next Monday. When I finally had it with them and complained, the lady over the phone was not apologetic and said it normally takes 5-7 business days. I don't care, I'm leaving after picking this prescription up. I went to my nearest Stanton center with a problem --I was quite worried because the frames of my $1000+ glasses were, I thought, broken, and I would need some complicated repair work that would take up a lot of time. I have two pairs of high quality progressive glasses which I bought in Europe a few years ago. First one and then two weeks later the other's frame separated from the frame-less optics. Broken! I thought. Not so, said Miss PJ -- it was not glue that holds those pieces together, but high-tech plastic tubes she told me. No they just let me walk out in anger. I've called customer service multiple times not for a refund. They say 24-48 hours return! Lies because they never call! This is the worst optical place ever! Upon my arrival, I was told the Dr. Was at lunch, and I would have to wait one hour as they just left for their lunch break. Somewhat ironic, wouldn't you say?
