I love this location always friendly and helpful. The assistant manager Jenna was very helpful when my glasses were broken and I walked out with a new pair. read more

Friendly and helpful staff fixed my bent and banged up glasses even though I showed up right at close. Much appreciated!

My granddaughter and I accidentally discovered Stanton Optical, as it was right next door to our destination -- Boba Joy. She's 10 and has never had a vision test, so we were drawn in by the $79 special -- includes an exam and two of pairs glasses. It turns out she needed reading glasses. We really appreciate the staff, who made the whole experience positive. And what a great deal. I'm coming here next time I need a new prescription. read more

Ended up getting the same issue on a new pair a month and half later. They told me the lens are to big for the frames. Well then clearly I need different frames. No they just let me walk out in anger. I've called customer service multiple times not for a refund. They say 24-48 hours return! Lies because they never call! This is the worst optical place ever! Seriously if they don't call I will March down to their store again and demand a refund. I've had enough of them giving me the go around. read more

I would rate higher but had a bad experience with an in person appointment. After getting multiple notifications not to be late for my appointment, I arrived on time. Upon my arrival, I was told the Dr. Was at lunch, and I would have to wait one hour as they just left for their lunch break. Somewhat ironic, wouldn't you say? I did not have an extra hour to wait for an appointment wherein I was on time. I canceled. Over the next few days I got several notifications that I missed my appointment. I complained never got a response. I ended up going elsewhere for the eye exam. I gave them a 3 because my past experience was fine. read more

I recently came here for an exam & contacts! They tried their very best to give you the best price to walk out happy! Oh, and did I mention they had really good customer service!! read more

The Wednesday afternoon shift rocks! Carolyn and PJ helped me out more than words can describe! I purchased glasses from a different location and it was not the right prescription at all. Carolyn was able to tell me exactly what was wrong and went above and beyond. She called the store manager of the location I purchased my glasses from and explained everything that needed to change. While Carolyn was on the phone, PJ gave me some company and reassurance that I will have all my worries disappearing shortly. Unfortunately, the re-order of my glasses was not able to happen here in Santee because I purchased them elsewhere. I tremendously appreciate these ladies for working SO hard to find the answers to my blurry glasses. read more

Needed a pair of prescription glasses and visited this store in Santee. I couldn't say nicer things to the folks at Stanton optical. A special thanks to the wonderful customer service provided by Mariela and Amenah, true professionals and they certainly know all about customer service - thank you both. Anybody that needs glasses, prescription or otherwise, please make appointments with these two wonderful ladies - you wont be disappointed Sincerely, Colm read more

Needed a new prescription and emergency contacts. Charlese was so helpful! Excellent service

I got my eye contact exam done else where and they were trying to scam me on a half year supply of contacts so I gave Stanton a call to see if they could help me out. Wow was I surprised!!! I was on the phone with Jasmin, who was super helpful and patient helping me out. Not only was the price amazing, the customer service was spectacular, and I'll be getting my contacts in a week earlier than what the other optometry was telling me. Jasmin went above and beyond to help me get a tester pair to see how my contacts will work out!!!! Definitely will be going back to refill my contacts when I run out!! Thank you guys !! read more

This was my second time to use Stanton Optical in Santee and I am sad to say , it will be my last. I was given a "virtual exam" and it was not even close to being accurate. I used the prescription provided to order $300 worth of prescription glasses online and was very surprised when I received the glasses and the were unusable. I could not see with them. I visited a second optometrist where I received an accurate prescription (which was not even close to what Stanton had provided) and ordered glasses from the same on-line company. These glasses were perfect. I returned to Stanton Optical with my concerns and receipts and was told the optometrist do not work directly for Stanton and they were not responsible if the prescriptions were not correct. Stanton Optical did refund the cost of the exam but refused to cover the cost of the useless glasses. Buyer beware. read more

Staff are all nice and friendly people. Ended up with a script I couldn't use despite coming back to correct them. Out money for the lenses, but I suppose I can reuse the frames. read more

Noor was amazing! She made the whole experience fun. She is very outgoing and easy to talk to about anything I didn't know. Thank you!

Ahmel? Spelling? Was wonderful friendly and very helpful. I thought since we have Kaiser we would be paying so much more, but Ahmel went above and beyond and did the extra steps to apply our insurance and saved us a lot of money. We're customers for life! read more

Yes, I worked with a lovely girl named Melanie. She helped me and explained the whole process which was quite different than a regular eye exam, but just as good.! I appreciate everything she did for me, and would go back to her in a minute! Thanks so much Melanie read more

I went in for the two pairs for $79.00. They did not have the lenses for my prescriptions. I could spend three times as much OR get my glasses in two weeks. Stanton Optical advertises SAME DAY and $79.00. Neither was possible. Then they wanted me to pay for the virtual exam. They advertise exam included. I told them no because they did not live up to their advertising. Stanton Optical should have the lenses in stock. They are a big company. I am so disappointed. I wanted to get new glasses before a road trip. read more

Hello everyone I had a very nice experience at Stanton Optical Santee this past Thursday and Friday. I brought in my own Fendi frames and the optician tech whose name was Janerio was very professional , friendly and knowledgeable . The next day I went to pick up the glasses although it would only take an hour that day. Went on Friday and picked them up and a nice young lady waited on me. The Rx lenses are just fine . I would highly recommend and would go there again ! Thank you for the great service. Rita from El Cajon read more

Stanton Optical - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Santee, California

Cool Ass staff. Sales Capt Janeriro got me in for an eye exam in a nano second. And hung with me while my glasses were made...Same Day!! Amenah the OD Tech was both professional and personable. Reassuring me that almost everyone takes awhile to pop a contact lens into their eyeball. Dr. Tonnu was a blast to interact with. Reassuring me that immense amounts of carrot juice is great for beta carotene but eye health goes beyond that. She laughed at my near sighted Asian Oopmpah Loompah jokes. GM Cody was knowledgeable with the frames I brought in. Taking time to explain which frames will work with my prescription. Recap-A really cool ass staff to interact with for your eyeglass needs. And affordable as hell!! I'm finally going to look like I know what the hell I'm taking about. All smart and shit. read more

Stanton Optical - Trust me this is my "I'm satisfied with this place" face. Hair is flat AF but the specs are poifectly on point!! - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Santee, California

Found my permanent optical place!! Customer service was beyond expectations.. They have a HUGE variety of lenses in all price ranges. Janeiro helped me find the perfect glasses.. buy one, get one free!! The staff was very knowledgeable, answering my millions of questions. Prices were great and their warranty is the best too! 20 minute wait for the glasses instead of the usual week or so. I am very impressed, and walking out with glasses i'm really happy with for the first time in my life :) UPDATE- I still have not received my contacts yet. They stated 3-5 days.. it's on the 8th day, and still no contacts Very disappointed. I would still go back for eyeglasses and exam... but I would be certain to get my prescription right then and there and go directly to Costco and order my contacts there. The contacts lenses are about 25.00 cheaper anyway It's March 2.... still no contacts read more

DONT HO HERE! It's the typical bait and switch. 2 pairs of glasses at $100 by one get one free came out to almost &400! I started to leave and surprise surprise they cut the priice in half. I take back every single thing I Said about this place. Ever wonder why its not the same optometrist or the same manager? I wrote a bad review and then wrote a good one because they actually made things right. I expressed how they shaded my hubby before and he only went back because I promised him it was better. Jokes on me. They actually broke his frames putting his lenses in and then tried to hand them off with wet super glue. Glue on the lense and frame split. Destiny stutters when she's called out, we have the same frames in the car and she promises to fix it immediately and when I look at them there's a crazy deep scratch across the left eye. I'm so floored at how this scam station is even in business. She promised a full refund and free lenses that took over 2 weeks. At least Destiny felt remorse and is probably doing her best with what she can, find a new job girl, people are going to hate you. read more

I have been going to Stanton Optical for two years now and I have a positive experience everytime! I went in for a two pair deal and got bait and switched to a two pair that were completely more expensive while I was waiting for the exam! I'm not quite sure when all of this happened but I'm assuming Feb 19! They exam was a long wait more than 90 min! I was asked to come back in two hours that they would be able to accommodate! Two hours later they told me that I would not be able to see the doctor that day and that I needed to make another appearance the next day! I told them to cancel the 500.00 order that I was done! They all looked shocked! Well the next day I received a call from the manager with an apology and offered me a half price deal! It was the only reason I went back! So fast forward to a week ago to me sitting on the glasses and going back to the store, they could not find my information, the where and when! Waisted my time but said they had a frame that would accommodate my lenses! Ok 90.00 bucks and let's go! They were never able to find my transaction! Oops but then admitted that they had a system and software change! Ok this is where it gets interesting! The manager then punches out the lenses and pops them into the new frames! Then was having trouble and disappeared into the back! She was back there forever, I paid and left never really looking at them, plus it was dark! A few days later I realized that there was now a spot in the middle of the left lenses and a weird line across the top of both lenses! So being a busy guy a was not able to get back to the store! I go today and deal with the same manager and showed her the problem! She snapped that my tint was coming off and my warranty was over! Now she never told me this during my first visit, what I'm assuming is the tint I is sprayed on with the frames on and the lines are where the other frames were before, another thing she never explained! I will say that I tried to explain my position any she just blew me off when I pointed out the issue! No amount of service or consideration? No trace of when I purchased or anything! So this is the third strike I hope other follow. Unfortunately my name is not Jose? Just another example of your company being unable to focus on the customers needs! read more

Telemedicine has pros and cons. Stanton in Santee offers an optometrist via large-screen TV, with technicians in person to assist. Con: the promise of same-day eyeglasses has caveats -- I'd rate a 2 or 3. Pro: Charlese. Knowledgeable. Made real effort to convey capabilities and best solution, a plus in today's automated world. read more

I purchased contacts and 3 pairs of glasses. The glasses took 1 month single vision with a coating) and so did the contacts. I was able to order my contacts from a different company and got them within a week and asked for a refund for the contacts only on March 18th. It is now April 15th and still no refund. The manager, Maryella, at the Santee, California store who I've been in contact with for the past 3 weeks had no explanation, wouldn't return phone calls and kept telling me corporate was in charge. She was unprofessional, dismissive and couldn't be bothered to talk to me directly. Maryella wouldn't tell me who her supervisor was so I could talk to them and get my refund expedited. I call the call center and they tell me that my refund was just processed April 13th! Very poor customer service and we will not return to Stanton Optical. read more

Why would a business offer buy one pair get one free that's a joke. I picked out two pairs entry level no upgrades , he said that would be 555.00 I was floored. I don't like being deceived by a business! Back to Costco. read more

Below average experience. No better than Lens crafters. The interaction with the Optometrist was positive, everything else was just plain bad. Everyone runs around in white coats conveying a high standard of customer service and equal experience across all employees. Not the case. Everyone I talked to ranging from manager to jr. employee was slow and inexperienced. There is a serious disconnect between the optometry and sales side of this business. I would say this business is about 10% professionally guided optometry and 90% jr sales people pushing glasses deals on you. I'd be very cautious about giving this place your business. read more

I had the best customer service experience of my life the other day at the Santee location. I had scratched my glasses and I needed them for an event. Noor and team went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and to try and get my glasses done on time. I was waiting next door and she was worried about my wait time and actually came over to give me an ETA which she did not need to do. She called me multiple times to give me updates and was very friendly and communicative during the entire process. I highly recommend this location as all the employees there are absolutely fantastic! Especially Noor! read more

I wanted to get in on the deal for 2 for $59. Started off fine customer service greeted me and answered all my questions, and the next appointment wasn't until 2 so I waited around for a little over an hour picking frames and hanging out on my phone. 2pm arrives and no doctor for my appointment, so I waited 15 minutes just Incase they were late. Still no doctor, and no one gave me an update about when the doctor was coming back, or asked if I wanted to reschedule, so I walked out. I am so mad and frustrated that I wasted almost 2 hours waiting! TWO HOURS! read more

I can not leave a great enough review for Stanton Optical. It is difficult for me to find glasses I like and that I feel fit me well. My husband and I came in and immediately our expectations were exceeded. It was like they treated us like family, there was a personal investment with a professional demeanor. Courtesy, kindness, patience, positivity, genuineness...... I could go on and on. The next day I had some buyers remorse and felt that the glasses weren't comfortable and just wasn't thrilled with my purchase. I came back to the store and sheepishly and almost embarrassingly told them my regret. Without any questions they helped me pick out a new pair and sent me on my way. An overall amazing experience. Special shout out to George, Nick and Destiny! Thank you Stanton Optical you have a customer for life!!!!!! read more

Every time I visit this store PJ makes my husband and I feel confident with his purchase. That's why we keep coming back. Thanks so much!

I CAN SEE AGAIN! Very happy. Walked in to pass the time in between appointments, not expecting much, but I walked out, only a couple of hours later with 2 new pairs of glasses and a full eye exam and new prescription! I walked in and was IMMEDIATELY greeted by 3 people who jumped to help me! 2 pairs of (ugly and odd) glasses for $69 + a free eye exam was a great deal, but rendered nothing I liked. So I told Ashley (very sweet young lady) what my budget was, and after she spoke to her manager twice, I stayed under my budget! Got my second choice of sunglasses, but still looks great! And the Doctor there is very knowledgeable and friendly, and explained everything and gave me options. Over all, definitely a 5 star experience! read more

I responded to a special sale on Progressive glasses. All inclusive: eye exam and 2 glasses with progressive lenses for $135.00. I called while on my way to pick up my glasses today,( because i didn't get a courtesy call) that's when all hell broke loose! Let me see what I can do, he says, puts me on hold just long enough for me to take a deep breath. Nothing! Runaround, yeah that's what he did for me!! Nice try buster! Come back to tell me his manager is on another call, yeah right! Nice job on the speed recovery after I grilled your ass over the phone this morning. Yes thank you, I will be picking up my glasses tomorrow, and if I don't I will definitely be leaving there with some extra unexpected shopping money that's for certain;);) But on the real, if they try to give me a hard time tomorrow, I will tell every single person I know not to go there, and that may not be very many people but I work with over 40 women , and you know what they say..
