Really good customer service, super fast,we went to get glasses for my daughter Monday , James went out of his way to have us the best deal and kept it affordable for us. read more

Horrible customer service. So, the add never is what it says. Yes I got the glasses, only because it was for my daughter. Dr was great but the retail end is so horrible. Never again! There's nothing else to say. You get bombarded at the door with asst manager, 5 different people continue to follow you around....they say "I'll get you a good price . Unfortunately I can't ever think why I'd go there again. Sorry customer service read more

I was just helped by Brian S. and the customer service was top of the line, he was very accommodating and professional. He was very knowledgeable about his product and made me very confident about conducting business at Stanton Optical. I will definitely be returning for my future needs. Brian is definitely an asset to the company. Sincerely, Stan W.(customer) read more

Awesome experience ! First time to wear glasses and the whole staff was super friendly and nice. Even got my glasses in a hour ! Thank you Alex, Haykel and Kaila for taking care of me . I love my new glasses ! read more

Called to get my prescription emailed to me, The lady was rude over the phone did not help me with what I needed because she wouldn't listen to what i was asking for. I spent $370 for two pairs of glasses which were supposed to have anti glare and scratch resistance. Neither was true. Jut needed my prescription to get new glasses at Costco without doing another exam. Hope this helps someone else not get ripped off. read more

Sharon asked me what I was looking for in a frame and brought me several options that fit the bill and a convenient tray to sort the "Yay's" from the "Nay's". She made pricing simple and we negotiated a pricing structure that worked for me. Well done all the way around. Thank you, Sharon. read more

Stanton Optical - Sharon helped me upon my arrival. - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - La Mesa, California

Haykel and Brian were extremely helpful in getting me replacement glasses. They worked with me and found an exact replacement as I really did not want a new pair. Definitely the best service I have had at this location. read more

The staff here is very friendly and attentive; as soon as I walked in I was greeted. I came in because my dog chewed my glasses and Alex made sure that I was helped, he explained the process and I walked out with a fixed pair in less than an hour. Definitely recommend Stanton Optical in Grossmont! read more

Great location, more specialized than other Stanton Optical stores in the area, with a wider selection of frames. We rushed here when our puppy chewed up my wife's lenses, and Alex was quick to resolve the issue and get new prescription glass in the frames! Couldn't recommend this team enough. read more

I absolutely love this place. Not only was the facility clean and spacious, the staff there was abundantly nice. I truly mean this, if I could give 10 stars I would. When you walk in you will be greeted with a smile and welcomed like family. I would definitely recommend you go hear to get your glasses, contacts or sunglasses. Don't sleep on Stanton Optical. You're going to miss out read more

Today I got a text that my classes are ready, I went to pick them up and when I tried them I realize that if I look to the side through to the glasses my vision is blurry, the cost was over $900 and I got a cheap quality and unusable glasses, do not recommend this place read more

Jay And Joseph are amamzing !! Both are super approachable and so helpful! I have really long eyelashes and they always tend to touch the lenses of my eyeglasses. I always end up spending so much time just trying to find one pair that doesnt touch my lashes. Jay was so patient as i tried at least 50 pairs of glasses. Even re tried the same ones a couple of times just to make sure. Eventually we narrowed it down to 10 then to 2 pairs and with his help I was able to find the perfect pair. I also explained to him that I was having this terrible headache and that my eyes are always dry. He asked me if I am in front of a computer at work and he recommended that I get a pair of glasses that block blue light. Then his GM Joseph explained to me all the great benefits and I was sold on buying the glasses! Cant wait to pick them up! read more

Been coming here about 3 years now and they always are quick with service and very helpful with helping me find frames when needed

Came in for glasses for my boyfriend and John helped us quickly and to get the best deals in a short period

Dr. Vihn did my eye exam, I've never had such a nice experience at an eye exam :) Dr. related to me, it was genuine. He also simply explained to me what he was doing, why he was prescribing what he was and looked for my responses, I do not have a doubt he is the best at his profession. James approached me kindly when I was looking at frames & feely offered his opinion and knowledge & i welcomed it because he is very nice and attentive, great person! I love the 2 pairs of glasses that i picked and cannot wait to have them in 2 wks. Also, being on a budget, the package deal I rec'd was incredible, I'm grateful. I highly recommend this Stanton Optical and seeing Dr V & James at your appt. read more

Those adverts for $39 for second pair is comparable to Steve Martin in the jerk when he was giving away prizes at the carnival. In the end, this place is over priced when you find something you like. You won't want any of those sad frames they advertise. Not a good experience with the doctor, the prescription, the sunglasses, or the regular glasses. Doesn't matter what time of day; long wait times in store and on phone listening to their pathetic repeated recordings of striving to provide the best quality. The doctor was slow and gave me a prescription that's too strong. I took it back to them and they tried to tell me that the doctor is correct and that my eyes will adjust. Well my eyes never did adjust to the $300+ glasses. I went back in there and they said they would have to charge me for a new because the doctor is separate from Stanton. Well somehow they make this the customers problem. I can't wear my glasses while working on a computer and if I want to get the best clarity I have to wear them on the tip of my nose. The sunglasses came back with barely any tint whatsoever. I literally had to keep insisting they improve the tint. They said, we will try but can't guarantee it will get any darker. Well it came back corrected like normal tint. I don't see how this place stays in business with their business model. Never again! read more

Excellent service, excellent prices, excellent selection, walk in eye exam and your glasses are ready the same day ! I I'm so happy I found this place! read more

What a difference from where I was going in Grossmont center. They're hip, friendly and SUPER efficient! The optometrist who saw me was ON POINT as he helped me understand my options, was thorough and really explained things well. I left super happy being I had less than ideal experiences elsewhere! I hear they have really good deal in glasses, but I'm just here for my contacts! I'll be back! read more

Well this is a new one for me and 70 years of life I always thought there were two types of people to check eyes officially that have studied for this: ophthalmologists and optometrists. Now, according to the small print of blah blah blah, there is a new type of person called a refractologist(?) Who does the actual eye exam and then the results are sent to an optometrist somewhere in the US who will either approve or disapprove the results. Some people may be comfortable with this or they don't even read the fine print but I take my eyesight very seriously and I will go where there is somebody fully qualified that went through their schooling and became licensed. By the way, in the small print of the "blah blah blah", it says that I can get a full health exam by going to an optometrist or an ophthalmologist & this is not the place! My eyes are more important to me than a $45 or free NON CERTIFIED optometrist or ophthalmologist. I'm even more unhappy that it took me 40 minutes to drive here and and $12 in gas at the present rate, when I never in my wildest dreams would have thought that making an appointment for an exam was with a non-doctor! read more

Made an appointment for same day but it seems like you can just walk in. Tiffany Doan helped me out with my daughters glasses. She was awesome, friendly and knowledgeable. My daughter will get her glasses today when before at the Optometrist office, we would have to wait 4-6weeks!! My son comes here and he was the one that recommended the place. I now recommend them aswell!! Thank you Tiffany!! read more

I honestly don't understand any of the one star reviews (. .) This place greatly exceeded all of my expectations for an eye exam and glasses buying experience! From the beginning the service was friendly and honest. The intake process was quick, easy, and the staff put me at ease with just about everything. Worry not about this place being COVID compliant because these guys already had a tele-visit system already tested and in place before it all began. It was even better I would say than your typical in-person visit because it was quick, streamlined, and with modern, sophisticated equipment! And when it comes to service here, I just can't say enough about how exceptional of an experience it was! I mean this is probably the most fun I've had in choosing glasses! A big part of this review I must owe to the one and only, Tony! He goes to epic leaps and bounds to provide a memorable time as you fine tune your selection and as others have shared, he is beyond helpful! My glasses that I walked into the store with were pretty misaligned and for the most part, I've just resigned myself to just suck it up and adapt to the crooked-ness of them. I've tried to get them adjusted at other places that do it by standard and it's just never been done right. Usually it's also met with indifference to my predicament and the apathy reflects in the lack of effort put towards correction. With Tony, however, he put care into his craft and now my glasses are perfectly aligned!! It's like a whole new pair on my head with 100% durability!! I could have been sadly oblivious to proper alignment for the rest of my life, if it wasn't for Tony! Tony!!! Hehe, yes if I could add a sixth star, it would be because of Tony's epic level of care and service that is so refreshing to see. A bonus to an already great place with great deals, and an even greater level of commitment to it's customer's experience. Thank you Tony! Thank you Stanton Optical! \(･･)/ read more

This is the best place to get glasses. Not only do they have great service, but their deals are great. I got sunglasses, glasses, and contacts for the same price I usually pay for my glasses alone. There was a bit of confusion on my sunglasses when I picked them up. I expected them to look the same as they did when I picked them out. The lenses we're gradient but when I picked up my prescription, they were one solid color because of the polarization I asked for. James completely understood my disappointment and took care of me right away. Now I have exactly what I wanted. Great customer service . I will be back and recommend Stanton optical for your optical needs. In some cases, you can get your prescription the same day. Amazing! read more

I come here quite often for new glasses, contacts and they always take care of me! Very efficient, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I'm glad I was able to find a eyewear home. Thank you Stanton optical! read more

Jay is awesome and professional. I went in to get my glasses fixed, he greeted me as soon as I walked in and got it done in less then 8 mins. Friendly and great service. read more

Haykel Najeeb was very helpful. He gave me a good deal on my glasses. The price was cheaper than Walmart Optometry and Eye Glass World.

I was recommended by a friend to come to Stanton Optical to get an eye exam because my current glasses were hurting my eye. Out of all locations I was told to visit this one. Upon arrival I was greeted with a "hello and welcome!" Followed by one of the optician, Samir, to ask me if I had any questions about anything. He stuck by me telling me about the location and started to show me glasses that I may be interested in a VERY professional manner. I am not great at picking glasses so I valued his input. Samir introduced me to the Dr. John Vinh. Let me just tell you this.. Dr. Vinh is one down-to-earth Dr. He explains everything he does and gets on a personal level. Dr. Vinh makes me feel comfortable in the location and doesn't pressure me to do anything. After getting my exam complete I had my prescription. I wasn't in a rush so I waited a little and got my glasses the same day! How awesome is that! I would highly recommend to see Dr. Vinh for your future eye problem!!! And make sure you go to Samir he knows a lot about what he is doing and is more than happy to help! Thank you guys! I can't say thank you enough! read more

Absolutely the WORST!!! A bigger bunch of idiots I have never met. Could not get my perscription right after three tries and over six weeks of runaround . Paid my money and did not get what I asked for. If you want a lesson in frustration this is the place to go. Staff is RUDE and unwilling to help. They Just provide excuses and arguments. STAY AWAY!!!! THEIR INEPTITUDE IS ALMOST CRIMINAL read more

Great customer service fixed three glasses all bought from Stanton. Will be coming here every time I need glasses

I was extremely pleased with my visit today at the La Mesa office. Both P.J and Hilary were friendly and knowledgeable. They guided through the process and I got a great pair of glasses! I definitely recommend going to see these ladies. Thank you both! read more

I've been to a couple of stores to purchase prescription glasses and I have to say, this store in La Mesa has been the best place I've ever been to. Alex helped me purchase a pair of glasses and he was able to discount about $50 percent of what other places were going to charge me. I will never go to another store as long as Alex is working. I highly recommend this store and Alex. read more

Customer service here is terrible. Every time someone comes into the store, staff scurry away from the customer they are helping and start helping the new person. I bought 2 pair of glasses and cannot see out of them at all! Have been back twice for them to attempt to adjust the glasses to no avail. Getting my money back today hopefully. read more

My name is Alyse and I am "the girl" that you mentioned in your review on Stanton Optical in La Mesa. I am the OD tech in the blue scrub. I saw that I made the 5th strike when asking you to cover one eye and let me know if you could see. I am reaching out just to clarify that I did not think you were lying. I was trying to help. I was trying to see how the prescription performed independently on each eye for you. By knowing that, I could ask the doctor to correct the prescription on either one eye or both eyes. Because the eyes have the ability to compensate for each other's performance (or the lack thereof), it's hard to pinpoint individual performance without covering one eye at a time. I apologize if my effort made you feel differently. I understand that the whole process was frustrating to you and I could see where your feeling was coming from. With that being said, if you ever give us another chance, I wish to help you directly. I have never had a patient leave upset and I am confident that I could do the same for you. Thank you for your time and I wish you a goodnight rest. I hope my explanation helps a little. Alyse" read more

I will never go anywhere else for glasses or contacts. They have the best deals and the best customer service. My glasses look great and my contacts fit perfectly. I can seeeeeeeee!!! read more

This is my second review of the Stanton location in La Mesa. I previously did one about a year ago following my highly satisfying experience with Alex Sanchez when I purchased multiple eyeglasses. Since that time, he has now become a certified optician! In this case, I sought him out to order contact lenses. Once again, I appreciated his knowledge and helpful input. In my opinion, he has the knowledge, experience, patience and customer service skills and sensitivity that makes me confident in continuing to support Stanton Optical, and, of course, seek him out in particular! read more

Great service I will return Jon P. Was a delight to work with and he helped with everything we needed.

The experience was very enjoyable and the staff was very professional and really seemed to enjoy what they were doing . One of the staff members Isabel , was more then patient with me and my mother as we picked our glasses. She explained all the prices and plans in detail to make sure we were happy with our glasses. She really made the experience even that much better ! We will be back for sure ! read more
