My glasses broke and I needed a new pair ASAP. From the moment I walked in, everyone was so welcoming and helpful. After my eye exam, I found out I couldn't get same-day glasses because of my high astigmatism. The manager went above and beyond and found a pair of frames that fit my old lenses so I'd have something to wear until my new ones came in--completely free of charge! I truly can't thank him and the staff enough for going out of their way to help me. That kind of kindness and customer service is hard to find these days. Such an amazing practice, and we'll definitely be back! read more

I do not recommend Stanton Optical in Glendale. My main issue was how Haylee and store manager John Martinez handled a mistake made by their own store. I brought my 14-year-old son in to get contacts and learn how to insert them. After two appointments, he was still having difficulty, so they sent him home with a trial pair to practice. Afterward, I received TWO voicemails from the store saying his contacts were ready for pickup and telling me to come in at my earliest convenience. I drove roughly an hour round trip specifically because of those messages. When I arrived, Haylee refused to give me the contacts because my son supposedly needed another insertion appointment. I showed Haylee the voicemail transcription on my phone and had her read it herself. It clearly said the contacts were ready for pickup and told me to come in at my earliest convenience. Instead of acknowledging their miscommunication, the situation became argumentative. I asked for a refund. I paid approximately $400 in CASH, but they refused to return my cash and said I would have to wait up to 20 business days for a corporate check. I still agreed to make another appointment for my son. About an hour before that appointment, store manager John Martinez called and told me he wanted me to apologize to Haylee before they would continue with the appointment. I refused. I don't believe I owe an apology for being frustrated after their own voicemail caused me to make an unnecessary trip. John then hung up on me. Now my 14-year-old son has no contacts, I'm out approximately $400, and I have to spend another $400 somewhere else while waiting up to 20 business days for my refund. This has put me in a financial difficulty that could have easily been avoided. Mistakes happen. My problem is the lack of accountability and how Haylee and John Martinez handled the mistake afterward. A simple acknowledgment and apology would have resolved this. Instead, they lost a customer and left me waiting for my money while my son still doesn't have his contacts. I absolutely would not recommend this location. read more

Stopped in to check out the possibility of getting specialized glasses for golf. After speaking with John he referred me to Oakley for what I was needing. John is awesome! Even though I didn't purchase anything or use his service, his knowledge is too notch, the professionalism & understanding about what I needed is spectacular. Due to the distance from my house I use a different optometrist, BUT if I ever change, I'm coming here in the future. Thank you John & I may see you again. read more

Every now and then you come across a place that makes you feel at home the moment you walk thru the doors. Stanton Opticals customer service is incomparable. Never in my life have I met more caring, considerate, personable staff. I walked in and every single one of them treated me like their best friend. Hands down this place is how true customer service should be. It sets the bar and makes you realize how far customer treatment has slid down over the years. They will help you find the perfect style and if you're not happy with what you got, they will take care of you no questions asked. If you want a refund, they will give you one without hassle or trying to talk you into something else. They just want you to leave happy. The manager and his staff here are all stellar. read more

After reading reviews, I decided to stop in and get my sunglasses fixed as a screw went missing the other day. John fixed it immediately and also gave me knowledge about my shades that I hadn't known before. He was kind and knowledgable about their products. Will be going back to John in the future! read more

Stanton Optical.... what's not to like about these guys! So personable so knowledgeable so caring! I bought glasses from the "other guys" and it was a complete nightmare... finally 9 months of fighting...was completely exhausted when I walked into Stanton Optical and met with John. John treated me like family listened to the horror story and started making a game plan to get me into glasses I could see out of and stayed in my budget! All the while he told me how much i meant to his business... so if youre looking for a eye glass company that truly cares about your vision and is vested in you being a life long patient... Stanton Optical will treat you the same too! Just ask for John ....tell him Robert sent you! read more

It has been a while since I made an appointment for a new prescription. I was searching for a place and saw the reviews for this location. I'm glad I chose to go here. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The people here enjoy their jobs and treat you like a human. They're not trying to make money off of you, they just want to make sure you can see. I accidentally told them the wrong contacts and they were able to cancel my order, refund me, and order the correct pairs. The entire process was quick, and I enjoyed the personality and culture of the office. I recommend going here. read more

As a first timer for glasses I knew i made the right decision by going with Staton Optical. The team was supper friendly and helpful with the whole process not to mention their patience with their customer. After my exam and initial ordering, I came back five days later to pick up my reading and distance glasses. Unfortunately I received two pairs of distance glasses. John sent one pair back to correct the error. Then six days later I came back again to pick up my reading glasses. I completed your customer survey, no response. Interestingly, I was treated very nice as a new customer but differently on my two subsequent returns to get my corrected pair. Finally, you should be clear in your advertisement that the $79 discount does not include polcarbonate lenses and automatically brings the balance to $139. It is weird though how you already have the two polycarbonate lenses with you when you flank me with the upgrade issue when we are sitting after the exam at the desk. My point is make it clear in your advertisement and verbally before the exam about the polycarbonate lenses. I will not return. read more

To anyone in the phoenix peoria area that needs glasses, i have been wearing glasses since i was in 3rd grade. This company gave me the best experience i have had to date. The dog ate my glasses so i was recommended to go here. Did not disappoint, they listened to what i said i would be doing and made adjustments to lenses to compensate. I walked out spending half of what i would anywhere else and i ended up with 2 pair and a pair of sun glasses. Check em out and they are beyond friendly. read more

Customer service is amazing!! The guys here are so nice and welcoming. I have never experienced service like this.

Today was my first time at Stanton Optical and I was very impressed. They moved seamlessly through all of the steps of my contact and eyeglass exam. Everybody in the office was very friendly, even if they weren't the ones helping me, they would check in on me. I didn't feel like I was trapped in an eyeglass store for hours. It was a really quick seamless situation. They have great deals and great customer service. I definitely recommend Stanton Optical. read more

I will say that the wait was pretty long even though we had an appointment. For the two of us to get eye exams it took about 2 hours. However, the customer service ultimately made up for it. I would come back here again. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I was blown away with the customer service. They make the whole process very convenient. The exam/glasses are also very budget friendly. I went in late on a weekday and was so pleased by the customer service i received. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made the experience one to remember. Both pairs of my glasses were ready for pickup the next day, and they were willing to work with my insurance by matching all of my benefits. If you are in need of a new pair of glasses, I wholeheartedly recommend this place. Not to mention they are family owned and operated, so they are willing to take care of you. I had an amazing experience with Stanton Optical in Glendale. The staff went beyond, is friendly and very professional! John was exceptional! I highly recommend this place!! read more

I had a very very bad experience with this optical store today. On 3/3/2025 they examined my eyes, gave me a prescription. I ordered my glasses from them . 3 weeks later I received my glasses and I was wearing them for 25 days but my eyes were still blurry so I came back to their store and they gave me another eyes exam. They told me something terrible wrong with my eyes and referred me to another eyes doctor ( specialist) and they also asked me to pay for the eyes exam. I asked them why they charged me again so they gave me a discount only charged me $25 . To me they should not but I paid them any way. And today I went to see a eyes doctor who they referred me to and this doctor said the prescription at the Stanton Optical was wrong so I came back the the store and they found out they was wrong and saying sorry and wanted to make another lenses for me but I have to pay more money. I wasn't happy about it so I returned my glasses to them. But they haven't refund my money and kicked me out calling the police if I don't leave their store. This is what happened to me today. Please tell me how to get my money back. They took my glasses they should refund my money. read more

Had to get a new prescription and had it done and got my glasses same day! Everyone was really helpful and made it easy to do today

My last post regarding this business. Unfortunately I had terrible results with three pair of glasses I purchased as all of them ended up having the lenses crack! In my entire life I have never had such a thing happen and after two pair cracked I paid $114.00 copay to get another pair which the lenses also cracked! In closing it was a extremely bad experience and all I asked for in return was my wasted $114.00 payment returned, read more

This place is not good. I went to get an eye exam and it was virtual which was interesting in itself. During my exam, the eye doctor I guess is what he was on the screen froze, so I'm basically sitting there with this thing on my eyes, waiting for the next instruction, and there is silence, so that was different to say the least. I wasn't able to ask any questions or discuss my vision at the time with him. I was prescribed two pairs of glasses both being extremely strong to wear. My head hurts my eyes feel like they're being pulled out of my sockets. One pair was to be for reading and the other for driving. They gave me a pair for reading and a pair for distance and I said I didn't need glasses for distance, but they didn't really have anything else to say about it and sent me on my way. Just kept telling me my eyes will adjust. so I gave it a good amount of time and there was no change. I could never drive with the glasses they gave me. I could barely read with the glasses they gave me. I took them back in to tell them they're way too strong. I cannot see with these glasses. I'm still having to keep things very close to my face to be able to read and they basically told me they're fine and did nothing to help me with them. Unfortunately, I don't have the money to get new glasses so I am stuck with these glasses and they've actually made my life extremely miserable because I can't see without them and I can't really see very good with them and I do feel like they've just made my eyes worse now because my eyes are trying to adjust to them.....people tell me that's not true that doesn't happen and I think otherwise because I literally can't see like I used to after wearing these glasses. I don't recommend going to this place to get glasses, my personal opinion. read more

If you have any significant eye issues, this is not the place, at all. If you call to inquire, the owner will lie and say whatever he can to get you in. Even going as far as lying multiple times claiming they have lenses that are at a -3.00 in stock. Abby and Yulissa will lie lie lie as well, claiming they have it, then once you have the eye exam the story slowly changes. Abby said, "at most it'll take two days" Then they traded off and Yulissa told me, "oh, well, we have to them made, it will by Monday, at the latest" during the sale to finalize it. Then Abby calls after I've paid and I'm driving down the road to tell me it'll be at least 10 days... The owner then proceeds to continue his string of lies, placating me by offering a refund and to do the glasses (I record my phone conversations for this reason). Fast forward to today, I call to inquire about said refund as I haven't seen the reversal charge and he proceeds to take an attitude and say, "my mem-memory must be hazy, I thought you wanted to proceed with the purchase" playing dumb and trying escalate matters yet again. I didn't continue the conversation any further and hung up. You are better off going to America's Best or Eyeglass World if you have significant eye issues. read more

I was told to expect my glasses in a week or two. Long story short, it took 5 weeks. Was wondering how this happened since Stanton fills the orders through its Texas headquarters. They did call to inform me when my glasses would arrive, but it ultimately took an additional week past their own revised ETA. Explanations focused mainly around shipping delays due to weather and a restructuring of distribution centers. I don't have any proof that these claims were false but when the story is explained in a circle, it makes me wonder. Also, they just gave me the glasses without even checking how the earpieces fit on my head. read more
