The only person who deserves a compliment here was the woman at the front desk. She was so engaging. The gal that took me back for my initial exam, didn't say hello, didn't say anything other than put your chin here and this is what's happening and then tried to upsell me without much explanation. I was asked to sit in the waiting room where another disheveled woman called me in ... her shirt was incredibly wrinkly, her hair was a mess like she just rolled out of bed. While she was starting the exam I asked "are you the doctor" she said "yes" I was a bit taken aback. She didnt ask me why I was there, didn't ask if I was in for anything in particular and didn't even introduce herself. She finished and literally sent me to the waiting room. Didn't go over results, didn't tell me if my prescription had changed ... didn't ask me about my needs. Which until this moment I forgot I wanted to talk to her about allergies and eye drops. Another gal called me back to the lobby. She just went right into what my insurance covered and that was it. I had to ask her opinion on the frames I chose, I had to ask her what I was being charged for as they were insanely expensive ... not what the commercials advertise at all. Again, I had to say to her "can you help me find a frame that will work with this prescription" I ended up buying one pair from them and bringing the prescription to Costco up the street where I had incredible one on one attention and bought two other pairs for the price of their one read more

This business has changed owners and is now Keen Eyewear. Service here is not the same. Scott and Kathleen are gone and the level of service seems to have let with them. We experienced charges for services not discussed in advance. And a "new patient" fee accessed even though we were previous customers. The store is messy and untidy and seems to feature fewer Eyewear choices. This is not a place we will visit again. read more

Therefore, I Yelped to find the best in the city and made a phone call to EyesWest to see if they accepted my vision plan and Scott scheduled me within a few days. Scott, Kathleen, and Dr. Sarah treated me as if I had been there before. I've never received such a thorough exam as I did from Dr. Sarah. She explained every step and showed me things I had never seen before inside my eyes. I am so grateful to have found such a family-oriented eye exam office. I moved to Arizona for school out here. And as all of you should, I had to get my yearly eye exam in! I did a ton of research around my area and this specific office caught my eye. I called in to ask them what insurances they accepted, how much their eye exams were, and if they were able to squeeze me in that same day (they did!). Out of all the optometry offices I've been to, this was the only office that has ample parking! Searching for parking at a doctor's appointment is just something I don't want to deal with! Scott greeted me with the most friendliest smile! He introduced himself, checked me in, and gave me a new patient form to fill out. As I was completing my form, Scott was extremely personable and made me feel very welcomed. Scott's laugh is contagious!! At the end of my appointment, I felt like this place was my home! Kathleen got me started on pre-testing and was super sweet and gentle! She always has a huge smile and that made me feel very comfortable there. Dr. Sarah Paikowsky is literally a hidden gem. I've never had such an amazing connection with a doctor before. Nowadays you see many doctors going in and out of patients' exam rooms every few minutes. This was not the case here. Although my appointment was roughly 30 minutes, Dr. Sarah stayed with me and was extremely thorough. She made sure I knew what she was talking about before I even left her office. She did an amazing job explaining what was going on with my eyes, gave me great suggestions on how to properly care for my eyes, and advice on what I should do to prevent my vision from getting worse. Dr. Sarah did something that nobody else does, and that was to show me my old prescription versus the new prescription. This clearly shows that it is a huge upgrade (bad thing for me because my vision got worse!), I can see 1000x better now! While waiting for my appointment to see Dr. Sarah, I was able to experience how Scott and Kathleen mingled with their patients. The whole staff has been here for many many years. You can tell by the way their patients interacts with them. This office is a hidden gem!!! They are incredible and so genuine. You can tell how passionate they are at what they do. They have such AMAZING customer service. If only I can bring them with me back to California!! read more

How wonderful to have found my 'Go To' for gracious and helpful service! Kathleen was just wonderful, and then was soon backed by the excellence of so neat an experienced optometrist, Dr. Sarah, most helpful and healing in answering all my questions with no pushing as I'd 'priorly' experienced. Instead, the Dr. was as my true neighbor, who protectively carefully explained why I didn't need eye services that had been pushed in the past. Kudos to a caring and honest Dr. Sarah! Yay! Having been through a few optometric concerns over my also few decades' of living, after my exam and frame selection was completed, how blessed I felt for the find of such a helpful team and a hidden gem in Phoenix. My insurance had initially been clarified by Scott, while the frame selection was plentiful-- with multi-pricing options. And so, with his help, and fun funky music playing, I was able to quickly zero in on the perfect for me, pair of fun funky frames, and soon received -- all newly prescribed and on the mark. I had broken my glasses and was looking for a new optometrist after moving to surprise and I found eyewest optical and spoke with a wonderful woman who said I can just come in anytime ,I was able to pop in they saw that my frames were just broken so we found some frames that fit The lenses I currently had and I left and came back about 30 minutes later and picked up my new glasses and I am superbly more happy with these glasses then I was with the ones that I had broken. The service was impeccable. And the cut on my lenses is perfect so I no longer have my lense popping out when I clean them. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! After reading reviews I saw Dr. Sarah and staff for my eye exam and was so impressed. Then, I brought my 89 yr old mom ; reluctantly, definitely, arms crossed. She left completely happy with her care and Dr. Sarah. Could not say enough good things bout her care. Both times that I saw Dr Sarah (for me and then my mom) the word "relish" came up In my mind. After having an exam and script written by another optometrist I visited Eyeswest Optical to see if they had a better selection of frames, which they do. I was politely greeted by Dr Scott. We talked for a few minutes. He assisted in picking out frames, sizing, optioning, and ordering them. The entire experience was enjoyable and the conversation was interesting. I went to a different office prior to EyesWest and received glasses I could not see out of for 2 years. The doctor at the previous office told me the glasses were fine. Doctor Scott checked them out and helped me with fittings and picking out glasses that would work for me. I had heard from his other happy customers about how great the glasses were. Dr. Sarah is excellent. She answered all my questions, was super thorough and knowledgeable, friendly, has great bedside manner, etc. I don't need contacts or glasses because I had Lasik years back, but she shared that should I ever want the slightest correction in my vision I could do that, or choose not to (I opted not to). Staff were friendly and personable. Insurance covered all but my co-pay, and it's right by my house so this is great. I'll be back for sure. read more
