Mmmmm glad we ran into this adorable airstream at our private event today! We are huge basic black coffee drinkers and they had a great brew-- not too dark, not too light, a great blend with a perfect HOT temp! They were apparently also known for their scones. I'm not a big fan of scones but others raved about it! So.. prob worth a try? LOL I attached a photo of their menu, it looks pretty basic but check out their prices!! It's delicious and more affordable than most coffee joints. Anyway, def worth checking them out if you see them around, just look for an airstream :) and check out their IG @stans_coffee_and_scones and FB for updated locations- but looks like they are usually downtown or Carrie Tingley Hospital Tuesdays. Stan's is a "food truck" inside a converted Airstream trailer. Check their IG or FB for their next few locations. The trailer has a cool retro vibe, with a small bistro table set up for condiments and a speaker playing alt rock. The young lady who took my order was very friendly and smiling, even at 7 a.m.! The owner was also more than happy to have a brief chat about his coffee and seemed genuinely nice. I ordered the Breakfast Panini with turkey, a cold brew (no ice), and a white chocolate lavender scone. The Breakfast Panini was very good and had the perfect ratio of toppings (turkey, eggs, and cheese). I opted to add green chile, but it was not fresh, most likely jarred. Not bad, but it could be better. I'll also note that the sandwich had a bit too much black pepper sprinkled on it. The cold brew was very weak, and when I asked about it, the owner explained that it was made fresh daily from a medium roast. A common misconception is that the roast of coffee affects the strength. People often assume dark roast equals stronger coffee. However, that mainly affects the flavor notes and character of the coffee. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the owner didn't offer to make me something else or perhaps add a shot of espresso, which was a bit disappointing. The white chocolate lavender scone was delicious. The texture was light and fluffy on the inside, crisp and crumbly on the outside, with just the right amount of sweetness. The lavender was not overpowering, just subtle enough to add a hint of flavor. All in all, I don't know that I would go out of my way to find this place again, but if they happened to pop up somewhere nearby, I'd definitely grab a scone and maybe try their iced Americano. read more

This truck is often parked near by work and I finally stopped by for coffee and food. Coffee came out quickly and was strong plus tastey! Food was okay, it took much longer than I was expecting, probably around 15 minutes, but the food was fresh made. If doing a quick stop, I'll probabyl get one of the scones vs paninis or other food items that take a longer time. read more

Cute little airstream food truck. Breakfast panini was good. Conveniently located in Uptown. We did not try the coffee or scones but will be back another day. Definitely give them a try! I took off one star because even though service was friendly, they were only taking and making one order at a time. They need a better process to speed things up. read more

AWESOME ALERT!!!! I'm so grateful to fellow Yelpers for giving me the heads up on Stan's! I loved the refurbished 1964 airstream, and while they boast "coffee that doesn't cost a days wages," their scones & paninis are definitely a highlight, and look at that price point!!!! The white chocolate lavender scone was so fluffy and absolutely delightful. They also carry "The Phat Beaner" burritos (we ordered the steak and green chile....it was freakin' fantastic, so meaty and hearty, definite thumbs up!). I see many return visits in my future :) this is a win, folks! read more

Easy peasy! I thought I would have trouble finding Stan's trailer, since I am infamous for my poor sense of direction. However, typing in "Stan's" on Google Maps was a magical experience that brought me right here. Stan's trailer was the only food truck/trailer parked in this area, so I had no trouble figuring out which guy is "Stan." There were many offerings, but I wanted black coffee this morning, so I got a medium cup (12 oz.) of Oaxaca, which Stan said is more popular at the moment. I'm enjoying my coffee right now, but upon further inspections the menu (and hearing a better informed customer ordering after me), I realized I should have 1 Asked for marshmallows. 2 Brought my own mug. 3 Ask Stan about puppies and life. I didn't see any obviously dairy & soy free scones options (& I didn't ask), but the burritos need to be ordered ahead, so I'm guessing they can be made without cheese. Also, Stan's does take credit cards, but I shied away from asking for a military discount from a food truck. I still have to repeat in my head that it doesn't hurt to ask. read more

Like the name says, Stan's offers coffee and scones and completely nails it. The mocha was perfect. Scones were delicious. We tried the White Choc-Lavender Scone and the Dark Chocolate Chip scone. Yum. The truck is very cute and clean. Stan was a sweetie. We will return! read more

I drive by this trailer every morning they're parked at Carrie Tingley and finally decided to stop. I'm so glad I did! The vanilla latte was a great mix of espresso and sweet flavor. Can't wait to try some of his tea lattes. Added a bacon breakfast panini which was fantastic! Coffee and a sandwich for less than $7... can't beat that. read more

I stumbled upon Stan's Coffee and Scones on Instagram (@stans_coffee_and_scones) and had to check it out since it is near my office. Stan's mission is "Great Coffee that doesn't cost a day's wage." Most of their offerings are just under five dollars and everything is served right out of this old trailer. In addition to some great coffee and panini sandwiches, Stan offers freshly made scones such as Cranberry Orange, Blueberry, and White Chocolate Lavender. I work in Uptown area, and when I need a non-keurig coffee fix, Stan's is the best place to go. It's the perfect place to grab a quick bite and caffeine pick-me-up. The range of coffee (and tea!) staples can be hot or iced, so there's something to drink year round, and their location is posted weekly in social media. For really good local coffee, Stan's is also really reasonably priced. I like not having to pay $6 for a latte! read more

Convenient one day of the week since it's near work...had a vanilla latte& scone. The vanilla latte was OK & a bit bitter didn't taste any vanilla. Best cup of coffee I've had in years! A cool atmosphere with his renovated airstream trailer. The Scones are to die for, love the orange cranberry and lemon basil (and I'm a chocolate lover myself). Loved the latte and had the perfect amount of sweetness and espresso flavor. Highly recommended, he even has a table and chairs to hangout at with music if you're not in a rush to get back to work.
