I honestly don't even know where to begin with this review. This has become one of my favorite local spots in town!! I visit sometimes once or twice a week and the owners are always friendly to me! More importantly, the pastries are absolutely incredible! Every bite is like an experience. I enjoy the fact that they make things up that it's not always the same menu and you can get new items when they come out. This bakery has a small coffee shop vibe, we came on a nice summer morning so we enjoyed the patio, which was a perfect start to our Sunday Funday! The croissant selection is superb! Got the vanilla cardamom latte with oat milk iced half sweet it was good! We also got a pecan sticky bun. I should've asked to have them warm it up. I think it would have been better warmed, but it was still really good and had amazing flavor. So ask if they don't offer! Service was kind, helpful, and quick! A little inside seating and even more outside. If we had more time I would have sat outside for a while. The staff was very helpful and explained what each of the items were that I had questions about.. I opted for a couple of the ham and gruyere cheese croissants and a strawberry cream cheese, cinnamon brioche. I took everything home and warmed up the croissants and it must say they were a little bit on the drier side. Very flaky but almost too much so and very buttery. The strawberry cream cheese brioche was sweet to the extreme.. not sure if I will ever get these items again, but maybe next time it will be better! read more

I didn't know what to expect here, but was pleasantly surprised it was a Vietnamese cafe! I love Vietnamese coffee, but I missed it on the menu and didn't see it till later. They had many specialty lattes but I went with my usual vanilla and it was great. They gave us extra cookies cause our drinks took longer than expected to prepare, which were so good. 4.5 stars Now I understand what all the hype is about. Small shop, but has a cute little patio. My friend and I got the tiramisu matcha latte (complete with a ladyfinger on top), tiramisu croissant, s'mores croissant (my favorite), grilled chicken sandwich with the "Le" sauce, and an Americano. We also got another tiramisu croissant for his family friend and a sticky pecan bun for my dad. Prices were maybe a little bit more than other coffee shops, with pastries and coffee running about $7+ each, but everything tasted so fresh and staff was friendly. I haven't had a place surprise me in a while--but The Le Bakery definitely did! I was searching Yelp for some matcha spots, and this one immediately stood out. Not only do they have an impressive matcha menu, but they also offer matcha-flavored pastries. I tried the strawberry matcha croissant--10/10. Absolutely delicious. They also serve banh mi sandwiches. I'm super picky when it comes to banh mi because my mom makes the best, and most places don't measure up. But The Le Bakery's banh mi actually impressed me! It was genuinely good, and they're the only place I've been to that serves it with sauce. I picked the Le sauce and was given another one too (not sure which it was, but it was tasty!). The Le Bakery? Yes! First time here & although my experience was brief, it was great! I waked in closer to closing but I was on a mission to try their crème brûlée latte. They do offer alternative milk. The customer service was impeccably sweet. I asked for suggestion & was offered a variety. The bakery is small but there's plenty of space outside with outdoor seating under umbrella's. The crème brûlée latte is delicious. It taste like flan. Such a cute fun new place, I'm very glad I stopped by to grab a bite for lunch. This place is really close to my house and it's kind of in a weird location, but absolutely worth it. They have a good selection of coffees and teas, including the tiramisu Matcha that I got, which was stunning. It was so good and such a treat. I also had to get a bahn me, I went for the grilled pork option, which is my usual preference. It was solid and it had a very unique sauce that came with it that was kind of like a mustard. Okay, if you're gonna do a Coda-Le smackdown, it depends on how you like your bread and whether you want peanut sauce with your banh mi. Coda's bread is a wee bit denser. Le Bakery does it airy, light, fragile crumbs breaking off. Still delicious. Ingredients fresh and protein marinades tasty at both. Le Bakery has a nice patio with shade umbrellas and Coda is in needleville. Need to go back to Le to try the cafe sua da and pastries next time. read more

Overall: The Le Bakery has a lot of potential, and the owner seems her passionate. With time, they will probably work out their kinks, and I am excited to come back again. Food: 4 Butter Croissant: This was my least favorite out of all the pastries. I prefer a very crispy croissant with lots of flaky layers. If you like your croissants a little less crispy, this might be the one for you. Egg Custard Tart: This likely uses the same laminated dough as the croissant for the shell, which works well for this. The custard is smooth and not too sweet. Chocolate Hazelnut Babka: This is drizzled with chocolate and sprinkled with hazelnuts. The texture is excellent - slightly crunchy on the top with soft flaky bread layers inside. I only wish there was more chocolate within the actual babka. Chocolate Croissant w/ Boston Cream: This had a crisp exterior. The Boston cream on the inside was not overly sweet (the highest form of asian praise). Cold Cut Banh Mi: The banh mi includes some changes with pickled instead of fresh jalapeños, addition of pork floss, and a honey mustard sauce on the side. Although I prefer the original version offered at Coda, this is an excellent alternative if you are looking for something a little different. Service: 4 I cam during the soft opening so some kinks were still being worked out. The staff is obviously new so they were a little slow and clumsy, but they were all very nice and our orders came out correctly! Ambiance: 4 The bakery is located at the end of a small inconspicuous plaza. There were a few small tables inside and more seating outside. read more

The parking lot is a lil strange just due to lay out, this was my first time going my i add you. I went in and it looks like the cutest small shop and then boom! i walked closer to the glass boundary and these are like little special prettiest pastries ever! and they look amazing and smell great! the baker came out and she was sooo friendly she was such a vibe and sweet and very patient with explaining. they are fresh and great combos! they have such a unique texture and coating and it's like the expression when you think you're eating a oatmeal cookie but then it's actually a chocolate chip instead. i will definitely go back again and sit down and enjoy it as i had to take to go . they have an amazing little outside area as well! read more

I've said it before and i will say it again. I don't have anything against big chains etc... if you do something well i am happy to see you succeed. But few things make me happier than seeing mom and pop places do what they do well and i am super psyched when others contribute to their success. This goes double for anyone who makes pastries, Triple if they also make a good chocolate or almond croissant. Le Bakery does all these things. They don't always have a ton of pastries on display (or maybe it just reduces pastry crime?) so it's your fault if you show up and they are out... early bird gets the croissant and all that. The Le Bakery in Albuquerque just opened and they are serving up some delicious classic pastries! I went last Friday and I loved the cozy vibes and excellent customer service! I tried the Honey Cinnamon Latte ($6), the Classic Cinnamon Brioche ($5.25), the Twice Baked Almond Croissant ($6), and the Grilled Beef & Cheese Vietnamese Sandwich ($12.45). Everything was so yummy! My favorite was the almond croissant and sandwich! I was chatting with one of the workers and she said they bake everything from scratch. And their website says that all of their pastrieses are free from preservatives, additives, bread improver, and other harmful chemicals, which definitely caught my attention. Interesting: The Le Bakery was a flipping _madhouse_ when I visited at 1130 on a a Wednesday morning. The experience kinda left me wondering _why_ though: the food was pretty, but the flavors really didn't do it for me. One serious note before talking about the place itself: this parking lot is a caution. Rather than describe all the issues (you'll see them when you get there), I'll just urge everyone visiting to be extremely careful and patient. There were still plenty of pastries in the case and there was a line to order. Prices were fine on the sandwiches and a little warm on the pastries. As I said, they were pretty slammed when I got there at 11:30: it took about ten minutes to order and another ten to get the food. One friendly woman worked the counter while two women made a nice array of great looking hot drinks; two women and a man worked the kitchen. Food delivery was a bit delayed after orders came up because things were busy, but everyone working was polite and pitched in (if not necessarily in the most efficient manner). The room itself is pleasant and modern with low tables (orchid plants!) and chairs but shy on seating, although the patio outside had seating and was just lovely on this May morning - that should hold up for a while as the summer develops. My #1 combo sandwich ($10.25 - ordered because I figured it's a standard across restaurants of this type) took about ten minutes; it was good, but not very good or great. Took it to-go. Notably salty and needed more mayo as a base on the bread. I'd ordered it with the spicy sauce but it came on the side and I think they must have given me the wrong stuff because it wasn't in any way spicy. Some pleasant spice from the pickeled serranos on the sandwich, though. The baguette was on the larger side and good but not the best I've had in town. The meats were fine but not even actually good and some were somewhat tough with unappetizing sinewy bits. The pate had a mild herbal earthiness that made it interesting - it might have been the best part of the entire meal. The veggies were also fine but not great (extra long cilantro sprigs came off all at once instead of remaining to flavor each bite; pickles were mild but more sweet than usually found): this was definitely a bánh mỳ đặc biệt but just not one that left me thinking I had to rush back. Neither did the pastry I got - an Instagrammably beautiful escargot au chocolat ($6.50) that simply didn't have the flavors I'd hoped to find. When I _saw_ it, I thought, "I can't wait to taste that;" when I actually _tasted_ it, I thought, "This would be okay dunked in coffee." I'm really struggling not to sound like I'm trying to insult the place, but the flavors were on par with what I'd expect from a grocery store bakery. (Which was really shocking, given how pretty the pastries all are.) I rarely bother to write mid-level reviews, but I have been telling friends that we need to check this new The Le Bakery place out and had really hoped for a much better experience. I ADORE THE LE BAKERY! I come here as often as I can, I'll even make a detour on my break at work for it. I really like the cozy setting, the outdoor area is great. The service is wonderful, always super kind and helpful. I also love the food. I've had the grilled chicken banh mi, the ube coconut pastry, the kougn amann (my fave), chocolate croissant, matcha morning bun, mango croissant, white chocolate ube cookie, chocolate chip cookie, and custard tart. Got an iced tiramisu matcha and a pecan butterscotch bun. The bun was so fresh and delicious. The matcha was good, sweet, but not very strong (still in the contenders for the best in ABQ but it is better to just make your own). The matcha was also pretty small in size. For these two the total was a little over $16, which I find to be a bit steep. The baked goods are very good, clearly freshly baked in house, and sell out fast with small batches. What a nice location, although it's set off the main drag, so not as easily visible. But there is a good sign out front. It was quiet when we arrived on a Friday morning. There's a cute patio for when the weather is nice. There isn't a ton of seating inside, but easy to buy and go. Husband and I each had a delicious pastry and tasty lattes. I always appreciate being able to get a decaf and non-dairy milk - both of which they had as options. The honey cinnamon latte was delicious as was my husband's cardamom vanilla latte was also a hit.
