I wish this place had longer hours and was easier to get to by bus because their stuff is delicious.

Tried this place for the first time last Friday. I was very impressed with all the baked good options both savory and sweet. The quality of the baked good was definitely worth the price, the lamination of the pastries was phenomenal. All the staff I interacted with were very helpful and friendly. My recommendation is to show up 10 minutes early if you can before opening, there was already quite the line. Would recommend checking this place out! The pastries I got were the apricot danish and green chile croissant

Amazing must try bakery. Interesting but delicious flavors added to well made in house pastries and breads. Food so good my phone couldn't even eat first, I had to take a bite. Staff was friendly and the service is fast even with quite a line. The calamansi danish was bright and citrusy, just the right amount of sweetness. Ham and cheese croissant was heaven and a great savory treat. The green chile and jack cheese was 1000/10, just a little kick of spice but crunchy and well seasoned. The coffee is perfect as well, def try the iced malted milk latte super creamy and rich. The cafe de olla cold brew is strong and cinnamony perfect as we're getting into the fall season.

Delicious flaky pastries, just be ready to line up because they are popular!! Everything looks amazing and seeing it all on display doesn't help with making decisions as you inch towards the register Wish they were open more days each week so I could try more of their items!

Sweet and delicious. The almond croissant is ok. The croissant is not as soft, I bought it and stored it until next morning and it was ok. The focaccia of the day with kale and white bean is incredibly tender , flavorful and satisfying. I will keep buying the daily special. The sourdough olive bread is a bit too firm on the outside, many prefer it this way. I prefer a bit softer and crisp. Perhaps 5 minutes less of baking. I will ask for more par-baked. Big chunks of olives and the sourness of the sourdough is perfect. Inside is nice and soft. 4 out 5 stars. The rhubarb pastry is incredible and it scares me to post publicly for fear it will sell before I buy it next time. I felt as if I was on the streets of Paris. Incredible rhubarb pastry. Don't buy it. Please . Very friendly employees. Don't park in the parking lot. This place is way too busy. Ambience is street counter , no tables , no indoor space and I suspect no bathrooms. I was so bread focused I missed they sell coffee.

I've driven past Burque Bakehouse so many times and finally decided to stop and wow, I'm so glad I did! Every time I've gone by, there's been a line wrapping around the building, so I figured it had to be good. And it absolutely is! This spot is a walk-up bakery, not a sit-down place.. you order at the window. I got a simple drip coffee, a berry crisp danish, and a Boston cream cruffin. Everything was so fresh and flavorful and totally worth the hype!! It's tucked along Broadway in a little neighborhood area, so it's easy to miss if you're not paying attention, but don't drive by like I used to... stop! The line moves quickly, and the staff are super friendly and helpful if you have any questions. Just a heads up: they're only open Thursday through Sunday, 8 AM to 2 PM (or until sold out), so plan accordingly. Trust me, it's worth the wait and the limited hours. Burque Bakehouse is now officially one of my must-stop spots in Albuquerque!

A local hot spot. Great hospitable staff and a no fuss walk up and order type spot. Parking fills quick and it gets busy. Everything is fantastic. Had the honey burnt latte, blueberry maple pecan scone, kouign amann, and their croissants. All flavorful and made well. Pastries had great texture without being dry

If you like unique, delicious, and freshly baked goods you hit the jackpot here!!! We came by at 8:50am on a Sunday morning and there was already a line. Please note this place has no seating area. Line wraps around the building, you order your pastries and coffee at an outdoor window and you get your food and leave! I was impressed with the unique flavor options (like a passion fruit croissant). We ordered a big box of goodies and loved them all. Fresh baked loaves of bread are also a must try. Employees and a high level of pride in their work and the quality shows. We need more businesses like this one! It is very expensive but well worth it.

I got the Cardamom vanilla latte with oat milk, based on their recommendation! I Asked for it less sweet and it is delish and a great recommendation. Hubby got the Burque fog and he said it was ok but not his favorite. We also go the sour cream coffee cake and it was good. We also go the French toast bread to try. Cute little spot, only walk up, no inside seating. There was a line when we arrived but things moved quickly. Service was friendly and quick! I would recommend giving them a try! Only open Thursday-Sunday! So keep that in mind!

Overall: The Burque Bakehouse makes some delicious pastries, and I would never turn down something from them or an invite to go. However, there are other bakeries that I'd probably choose over them unrelated to the taste/quality of their baked goods. Food: 5 The pastries are always delicious. Their croissants and danishes are perfectly flaky and crispy on the outside with fluffy layers on the inside. Service: 5 The employees are always super nice and patient with your questions. It can take a few minutes to get your pastries though. Ambiance: 3 The Burque Bakehouse is a tiny bakery where you order and wait for your order outside. There isn't much parking in the lot but street parking isn't too hard to find.

We got 2 sweet and 1 savory plus 2 coffees. The savory was our favorite. The service was quick for the line wrapped around the building and its the cutest location for ambience

What a fantastic bakery! Not only was everything baked to technical perfection but the flavors were creative with lots of variety. The Boston cream was my favorite! The honey latte was also such a dreamy cup of goodness. Highly recommend stopping and trying as many things as possible!

The pastries are delicious but the customer service from the workers is terrible. Not friendly and helpful especially when the line is long.

To start, as we came in, we were offered a biscochito to try while we decided on what to order. Honestly, the decision was hard... so many delicious looking things on the menu but finally decided on a salami and provolone sandwich, with green chile bread. Wow! Amazing sandwich, fresh, delicious! While we were enjoying our food, Pratt Morales, the owner and master baker, came out and talked to us for a while. This was a real treat, great positive attitude and love for what he does. He even introduced us to one of his specialties the Turkey shaped bread he makes for Thanksgiving. So popular now he gets hundreds of orders per year. We left with some biscochitos and other cookies to go, and a desire to try more things when we are back in Albuquerque.

He even joked that they were "out of everything," which got a laugh and set a fun, relaxed tone. The music was rocking when I walked in, which I loved, although it eventually switched to something a little more mellow. Still, the overall atmosphere was inviting and made me want to stick around. I ordered an Iced Americano, and it was solid. You can tell they use quality espresso, but I personally would have liked it just a bit stronger. Next time, I'll probably ask for an extra shot to make it perfect for my taste. The real standout was the cinnamon roll. It had the ideal texture with a gooey, cinnamon-filled center, and they certainly didn't skimp on the cream cheese frosting. There was enough frosting to induce a sugar overdose, in a good way. The shop itself was clean, comfortable, and designed to make you want to stay awhile. They have a huge selection of board games and LEGO sets, so you could easily spend a couple of hours hanging out with friends or family. I also asked about the stage and learned they host karaoke and open mic nights a couple of evenings each week, which adds another fun reason to come back. Between the genuinely friendly staff, quality coffee, incredible cinnamon roll, and welcoming atmosphere, this is a place I'll definitely be visiting again.
