Keto be damned. I found carb heaven, I caved and I regret nothing. Hubby and I picked several baked goodies, all of which were delicious. Our favorite was the almond croissant. Staff were very sweet. Prices were appropriate. There is lot parking. We loved this place and will return. read more

I had heard about this bakery from a coworker and finally gave it a shot. I had the Green Chile Sourdough and WOW. It was delicious and you could totally tell the quality go the bread. I also had an empanada which was also very yummy. The place is a cute little bakery located in the neighborhood. Service was great as well and friendly. read more

This place is amazing! And a great experience. Abd the people are lovely. And the food is delish. Please go!

This is the most magical bakery I have ever been to. The green chile sourdough bread is soft and chewy! It's absolute perfection. We also had an empanada. Lots of people pulling up on bikes and walking in. It's just a lovely place. Please go!! read more

Best bread in the area. And I can slice it. The bottom crust is not so hard that you have to saw through it even with a good bread knife. I buy two loves and slice and freeze them for later. Also the empanadas are to die for! Try the spinach artichoke. read more

Amazing bread in a wonderful, local ABQ neighborhood bakery. This bakery is a great example of a high quality chef sticking to a few things and doing them amazingly well. The sourdough loaf we got was perfectly balanced and so tasty. The cookies were also incredible... every one we got, including the chili flavored one with great blend of sweet & savory. We'll be back, 5 out of 5, highly recommend!! read more

Amazing bread! Key ingredient to impress yourself and others who like bread with everything. This is also my go to bakery for any out of town visitors. Highly recommend getting one of each, sourdough, green chili sourdough, and olive (only available on Saturdays). Not uncommon to wake up a little late on Saturdays to a sold out shelf around 11:30 a.m. Which, no complaints, they have frozen bread for purchase just in case. read more

Great little scratch Artisan bakery. Delicious pastries and yummy loaves. Friendly service made it a great stop in our visit to Albuquerque

Visually beautiful, creative and sooo tasty! After my husband died I wanted to thank the ICU team at the hospital so I brought them a mix of sweet and savory treats. This is my go to bakery for special occasions and when I just want a treat. Great cappuccino too! read more

I will remember to start taking pictures. This gentleman is in my neighborhood and I have been over there and purchased their variety of empanadas whether it's lunch or fruit stuffed. They are fantastic. They are so personable there. You are absolutely appreciate their incredible service. The baguettes are breathtaking. So delicious. Saturday I purchased a plain sourdough and a green chili sourdough bread. Oh my gosh, a piece of heaven! I love it there baked the whole world style and they smell out of this world. The bread has is delicious chewy crust, hands-down, the best I've had in years. This is definitely a shop you want to give your business to. Yeah I do know that he is gonna be on vacation in July. I don't remember the exact date, but I'm sure you can call and find out. Best kept secret. If you take a container he will give you a sourdough starter. I give them a 5 Star rating! read more

I love bakeries and Bosque Bakery has so much to love. After a morning of birding, we needed to rest our legs and find a mid-morning snack. We were on foot and Bosque was located within walking distance of the Tingley Beach nature area. So we set our sights and walked the mile, enjoying meandering through neighborhoods until we found this gem. Bosque is located in a section of commercial buildings that have seen better times, close to residential homes and right next to downtown. It brings vitality to this neighborhood and is likely a bright spot for local residents. Bosque was just opening so we had our pick of treats. The pans of empanadas called our name. We enjoyed the kale-mushroom-guyere and mixed berry empanadas in the small, sunny sitting area. Just the right size for a hearty snack. Though we were only in the mood for snacks, we couldn't leave empty handed. So we bagged up one of each of six delicious cookies-of-the -day. All a treat, we really enjoyed the novelty of white chocolate green Chiles with a touch if sea salt. I also made the decision to hand carry a loaf of sour dough green Chiles all the way back to our air B&B to enjoy as toast for breakfasts. Totally worth the effort as this sourdough might be the best toast we've ever tasted. Albuquerque loves their green Chiles and Bosque Bakery makes it easy to sample this cuisine in their creatively, hand crafted items. The owner was friendly, engaging and helpful as we planned the next leg of our walking adventure. She clearly knows and enjoys this city. I'm glad Bosque Bakery made their home on this special neighborhood. Definitely worth your time to locate and visit. read more

Bosque Baking Company - Look at all these delicious selections. Smells wonderful in the bakery. Kale-mushroom-Guyere and mixed berry empanadas for the win. - Bakeries Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

As a sourdough enthusiast I've tried many sourdough breads from different bakeries around town and Bosque Baking has the BEST sourdough in ABQ! They offer several different kinds of sourdough and types of bread which are ALL vegan. The whole wheat and green chili sourdough are my favorite. (It has been surprisingly difficult to find a whole wheat sourdough in town so I was super happy to see it's offered here.) The empanadas, pies, and cookies are unfortunately not vegan FYI. The inside of the bakery has a cozy/rustic aesthetic and the staff are very friendly. My favorite way to eat their sourdough is to cut a thick slice, pop it in the toaster oven for a bit, and spread some Earth Balance butter and sometimes jelly on it. You will not be disappointed! read more

Empanadas here are bomb. Amazing bakery that I will visit again. Cookies also look very good here .

The best sourdough baguettes and cookies in town by 1 million. I come here for my weekly bread.

Stopped in quickly for a treat on a visit to ABQ and was totally blown away. Empanada with kale and mushrooms was seriously one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. Flaky, buttery, with a slight salty crunch. Good thing I only got one - I couldn't have stopped if I'd tried. I'm a bit of a bread snob - and their Green Chile Sourdough is as good as I've had. The crumb is light and soft, but the crust is crunchy and perfect. Just a hint of chile flavor - but a perfect accompaniment to a nice stew! Loved the funky little shop and the service was perfect. read more

They don't have social media which I love, so you just have to trust me and go try this place! I buy bread from them every week now!

I went there for the first time and bought three different loaf of breads and some empanadas. Everything tastes great and is fresh out of the oven. Loved every bite . The bread also freezes very well and still tastes very good after being a week in the freezer. Will visit again soon. read more

I love stopping here when driving down to Mammoth. The haystack cookies are so good. I also enjoy their bread and they make a good donut.

Jim is an expert baker. The bread is wonderfully crisp on the outside and fluffy and light on the inside. We buy his Baguettes and Whole Wheat Sourdough. His bread is the best in town. And the cookies! They are fresh every day, wonderfully yummy and tasty. Do not waste time anywhere else. This is the place. read more

I am definitely a snob when it comes to sourdough bread, but these guys never fail to impress me with their flavor diversity, quality, and freshness. I am a huge fan of the green Chile sourdough, which is sour with all the flavor and a hint of spice from the Chile's, and the walnut sourdough, which is sour and nutty. All of their breads have great texture, and are great for sandwiches and to eat alongside soup. Definitely a must try!!! read more

Best chocolate chip cookie ever? Maybe. And I consider myself a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur. The empanadas were also amazing - my kids devoured the apple and I wish I'd bought a dozen of the butternut squash and caramel Izard onion to take home. An absolutely delicious flavor and texture. The red chile chocolate chip cookie was unique and really had a nice kick - flavorful but not overwhelming. Thanks for a delicious lunch! read more

Great treats! Terrible ambiance don't come here to sit and eat. Baker woman has weird energy. Overall okay.

Bosque Baking Co is a local favorite and I can see why! After waiting in a 15 minute queue, I was lucky enough to snag a green chile sourdough loaf and a few chocolate chip cookies from their stand at the Corrales Grower's market. I love chocolate chip cookie and these were perfect. Deliciously chewy with lots of melty chips throughout, and finished with a light dusting flaky sea salt. Yum! I was lucky enough to try a few of their sourdough loaves too, namely the plain sourdough, green chile, and olive studded loaves. The olive loaf was my favorite - it has a bright and pronounced olive flavor. The green chile sourdough packs a punch. If you're a fan of spice, this one is for you. They all make fantastic sandwiches. read more

I've tried a number of Bosque Baking Company's items. This round included the cherry almond and green chilè cheddar scones. Both were good but I'd say the cherry almond stood out most from the pair. Better than any of their pastries is the bread. The green chilè sourdough is probably the most popular but I suggest trying their other varieties as well. While the other items have been good but never blown me away, I've throughly enjoyed every loaf of the walnut sourdough I've gotten here. If you haven't checked them out, Bosque is a key stop for you at the next downtown growers market or rail yards. read more

To me this is a real find! There is something about the way these guys do things on their own terms that really appeals to me. Bosque Baking is off the beaten path and is providing a few people in the know with Artisan level bread and goodies. Its probably best to enter Bosque Baking in full chill mode. Then the elements of good music and relaxed pace will seem like a natural fit to you. Have a look at what may have just come out of the oven- empanadas both savory & sweet, cookies and of course the beautifully crusted breads. Everything is of limited quantities so you might get your feelings hurt once in a while when they don't have the Peanut Butter Cookie you rolled in for. The stand at the Growers Market probably gives Bosque Baking Company more exposure than the true street location does but this kind of quality can't hide for long. I hope they are ready to scale up and grow! Oh yeah I must tell you about the Roast Beef on Rye sandwich. It has Gruyere, caramelized onions & horseradish sauce. Definitely worth waiting for. read more

Bosque Baking Company serves up five-star meals and baked goods. It's a tranquil, visual-pleasing space to hang out in. Decent service. Prices are decent. This is the kind of place, which has the wonderful baked goods you long for, plus it has a solid selection of fresh, wholesome dishes to either accompany their baked goods or have alone. Their menu is limited, but what they have is perfect. This is a great place to go for lunch. This place is perfect for those living or working Downtown. So why only the four stars? They are only open three days a week. read more

We picked up a loaf of Green Chile Sourdough at the Corrales Growers' Market today and were really impressed. We had been usually getting bread at the grocery store and I think that made me expect dried out bread. Well, this was anything but that. While the crust was a bit dark, the insides were super most and there was a lot of flavor. You could really taste both the sourdough and the green chile. I liked the combination and look forward to trying more of their stuff. We also got a carrot and chickpea empanada which had great flavor though maybe a bit salty on the crust. read more

The boooomb, the empanadas here are so buttery and soft. Definitely recommend those, luckily it's walking distance sooo I found my bread spot. read more

I haven't been to Bosque Baking since the pandemic lockdown. Prior it was a warm and friendly place with excellent empanadas and delicious bread. I went back this week and found that while the empanadas are still excellent, the customer service is lacking. We weren't greeted when we came in and it was apparent our presence was not appreciated by the woman who eventually sold us what we wanted. She actually glared at us and acted annoyed that we were there. I don't know who owns it now but I hope they realize that a smile and a simple "hello" goes a long way - especially with a local who supports local. read more

Best red chile chocolate chip cookies! And the green chile sour dough was so tasty! Almost ate the whole thing by myself! Had to remember to share. Definitely recommend! read more

Great empanadas. There are a variety of sweet and savory flavors and they taste very fresh. Tried quite a few different flavors and they were all delicious. read more

I love this place. I go at least twice a week to pick up baguettes and cookies. :)

Their food is pretty good! Last time I got spinach feta empanadas and a cherry empanada. They were pretty good but 3 small empanadas for $14 was a bit to pricey for me. I normally get the tomato soup at $4 cup. It's delicious during the winter months! read more

This place is a great find. The baguettes are excellent! I recently brought a kalamata olive loaf to a dinner and it was a big hit with everyone. Don't forget to try the empanadas......I think they are by far the best in the city. The staff is also very cool; keep up the great work! read more

Ok bakery for take out. Not many seats to sit and enjoy your purchase. Street parking can be tricky at times

They may have doubled the menu, but it's still tiny. 5 sandwich options, maybe 8 or 9 other items. Period. The service is astonishingly slow - i was here on a Saturday about noon. There were 2 other customers besides me. And it still took 30 minutes to get a turkey sandwich to go. I'm not kidding. The sandwich was pretty good (not quite great), and the chicken empanadas were nice and tasty, but way over priced at $4 per empanada. This place has a lot of potential, but without some changes, I likely won't be back. read more

I have visited this lovely little place twice now and every time my only regret is that I didn't buy even more! Let's start with the empanadas! We live in New Mexico, I have eaten these most of my life but NEVER have I had empanadas that are so rich and flaky and the fillings are superb! Today I had the spinach and also the mushroom and couldn't believe how tasty! Now let's move on to cookies. Red chile is so good in a cookie! These have this nice blend of sweet and heat. After every bite you get a nice hit of heat! The quadruple chocolate cookie should win cookie of the year. It's so rich and chocolaty! Men, if you have a gal who loves chocolate, you will WIN with these cookies! Today I tried oatmeal, cranberry molasses and again, another winner! I also bought bread today, and though I haven't tried it yet, it's already a mouth-watering sight! I really love the people who run this place too, so friendly and so welcoming! I just can't say enough wonderful things about this place! read more

How have I missed this bakery or had no one mention it to me! Their bread is as good as any sourdough I had in Germany! Just tasted their Sourdough Rye and are acutely aware we will have to ration ourselves! Do yourselves a favor and stop by to buy some and just appreciate the beauty of of these loaves! read more

I have become a kind-of- a regular now and sometimes get their bread at the Downtown Market, too (where they have more variety: I really like their ciabatta). My favorite is the South Valley Sourdough but I occasionally indulge in their green chili, too. We even purchased a starter to try make our bread at home- but no matter the outcome, Bosque Baking Company is THE place to get good bread in ABQ for us. read more

Loved this place! Probably the best artisan breads in town. Their green chile sour dough is to die for. But the real star is their Carne Adobada Empanada!! Yep, they have savory empanadas here. And the best I've ever tasted. Aside from baked goods they also have a few sandwiches, the turkey is the only one I've tried and I love that its actual turkey. Price is not cheap but not horrible either, 4$ an Empanada and about $5 for bread. But obviously worth every penny. The owner is awesome and you have to respect their participation in growers market, farmers market etc. The only reason their lacking that last star is because of their hours. They are only on site wed- fri because during the weekend their running around the markets. Which is a bummer for me since I crave them all week long. But I guess wanting what you can't always have is part of the appeal. read more
