Coffee is delicious I got a lavender latte with oat milk not too sweet just right! Got my husband the chai tea latte and it was bitter and watery would not recommend the chai or they need to work on it... Got the Chocolate croissant my son loved the chocolate. Service was quick, patient and helpful, while deciding on drinks. There is not a lot of seating inside but there is more outside. I will say they are one of the less sugary of bakery options, but for some, that is exactly what you're looking for. They do have a couple sweeter options as well as some savory pastries and bread. I decided to try the cinnamon and custard roll. I wasn't expecting it to have raisins, which isn't always my favorite, but they were pretty decent and I also had some pecans in it. They start serving sandwiches around 11 and have a very limited menu but everything sounded really good. I got an oat milk matcha. I personally like a sweet drink and so would recommend adding some sweetener to whatever you choose. I think they had a few options, including vanilla sweetener, or just general simple syrup. Great spot! I'm an avid coffee drinker and have given it up while being pregnant. Ihatov serves a great decaf latte. Pastries all seem delicious. I enjoyed a croissant that was the perfect match of soft and crunchy. This is also a good spot for remote work. WiFi connection was quite strong and the tables are pretty plentiful. Very cute shop but I was a bit underwhelmed by the food/drinks. Perhaps I'm just spoiled coming from a city with incredible coffee + pastry shops, but I found my morning glory muffin pretty dry, and the matcha latte tasted really weird to me, with minimal matcha flavor. I had to walk out of this place because the vibe was so negative. There were four people behind the counter and only one was taking orders. I went out of turn because there was confusion about the line. Then when I stopped giving my order I waited my turn. Another customer and I noted that three employees were not helping anyone despite the fact there were 7 customers waiting. When I asked them to help us, they did with an attitude. They said "Is there a problem?". I understand their products are high quality and pricey. But I do look at price tags. When I told the cashier I was overcharged, and showed her the receipt, she told me she "just" charged me for the wrong item. She acted like that was fine. I finally timed a Nob Hill visit so that I could visit Ihatov, and I'm glad I did. Choosing a pastry was difficult, but I picked the cinnamon custard roll. This is a fabulous treat - beautiful pastry with just the right amount of cinnamon and raisin filling. An iced americano went perfectly with the roll. Service was good - polite and friendly - and the interior had a decent amount of seating with a calm atmosphere. My only criticism of Ihatov is their website could have more information. This was a lovely surprise find in Albuquerque! We had intended to try another place, but the line was too long for us to wait and try to catch a flight home. To our luck, it led us to look for another place and we ended up here. Ihatov makes artisan bread and it's toasted just right for the sandwiches. We were not too hungry, so the amount of food served was perfect for us. If you're very hungry, one sandwich is probably not sufficient. Luckily, they also have other pastries to enjoy! I really wanted to try their new item, chocolate bakva- chocolate bread, but unfortunately they didn't make any today. Their baked goods are really really good. I love the black sativa seed long roll, and the sourdough flavor in all the ones I've tried is great. They are really well crafted loaves. Their buttermilk biscuit is amazing. I love that they make challah but haven't had the chance to get it yet. They're always at the Downtown Growers' Market, a great place to sample and pickup their bread, and their cafe/coffeeshop location on Central has a wonderful ambience. I love the back patio seating. They also sell sandwiches at lunchtime, including caprese and egg salad for vegetarians, which I've wanted to get but I don't think I've gotten to yet. read more

I had a truly delightful sandwich of brie with sun-dried tomato on sourdough bread. Fantastic. The staff were busy, but friendly and cheerful and attentive. It was very busy while I was there, but they moved people along in a very nice fashion. It was a beautiful day so it was nice to sit outside to enjoy my lunch. Well this is how I characterize Ihatov Bread Great product with lots of examples of frustrating service experiences mixed in. 20 minute Drive over to their shop, wait in line 15 minutes...we are next in line to order our sandwich, guy walks up to cashier - no more sandwiches today (10 mins early)...waste of our time. April 6th, make the 20 min trip over, walk up to the door...1:50pm ...all chairs stacked up, door locked. Single guy inside just walks away from the door. If you care about restaurant environments, or anything about feng shui... You'll hate this one. There's always some weird dynamic between people coming in and out ... and others coming in the "out door" while others are getting their product. It's usually a cluster bleep. We went right before closing on a Sunday. Our friend, who had visited before insisted that he purchase us a loaf of bread. We chose the potato sesame bread. It looked good. We kept the bread in the bag overnight. We get up at 4 am to get ready for work. I started to make our lunches. We were excited to try sandwiches made out of this bakery fresh bread. Well, that's where the excitement ends. Mind you, this bread has only been in our possession for 14 hours. I cut into the loaf, and it was green and moldy. I was so upset. They close at 2pm daily, so working folks cannot make it . I was unable to return the bread, but I will NEVER go back. There is no telling how old the bread was they were trying to pass off as "freshly baked". I'm supposing it was at least 3-4 days old to have mold in the inside. Gross read more

Amazing bread but you have to come early if you want the popular ones. My personal favorites and must get every time if they're available are the Peach Buttermilk Biscuit and the Tomato Basil Quiche! The Peach Buttermilk Biscuit is a must get every time! So flaky, buttery and sweet but not over sweet. The biscuit is a perfect menu item with its fresh peaches and the butteriness of the biscuit is so harmonious with one another. Sadly if you don't come early enough, they'll run out and won't make anymore for the day. The Tomato Basil Quiche is so good as a main meal item and the flavor profile is amazing. It's savory and a hint of sweetness on the back end. Every time I take a back it just blows my tastebuds out of my mind each and every time. It'll get packed and the line will get long so wake up early to get the good stuff. Great high quality pastry and it seems locals here agreed. It's hard to find bakeries that taste unique and closer to French style here (they are known for their croissants)! I had gotten some drinks, pastries and loafs of bread from here before. I liked all of them...but I think their croissants really do shine in comparison to others. I would say they are on a pricey side (drinks+pastries may set you back close to $13-14 inc tax+tips)...but it's a good treat to have once in a while. The only thing is..depending on the time of the day that you stopped by..you may not see all of the selection of food that they had. I had stopped by early in the morning (some pastries are not done yet)..or a bit later (most run out). And if you stop by during their main hours (not early or late)...there seems to be many people in a shop. Overall though...great treats to have. I liked how it wasn't too sweet and that the almond paste inside was very natural and didn't seem to be flavored with extract. I've enjoyed Ihatov since they opened in Nob Hill. There seriously couldn't have been a better business to finally replace the Starbucks. Ihatov offers delicious baked goods, coffees, and tea. My favorite things to order on a Saturday morning are their buttermilk biscuits that are so airy, soft, moist, and just a little crispy on the outside. I don't know what kind of flour they use, but the texture and taste are outstanding. I also enjoy their quiche. No matter what type of quiche it is, I will always order a slice or two.
