Had a client suggest this place. It is amazing as soon as you walk in. Very high end coffee shop. Lots of great seating along with a very nice conference room. I tried the butter cream latte. After seeing this spot pop up on Tik Tok I figured we'd add it to our list to check out while visiting Albuquerque. The space itself is large with various spots for customers to sit, however it feels a bit too large for the size of the menu. The menu is predominantly drinks and pastries - however the pastries do not display pricing which led to a very high bill. Coming from a large metropolitan city, the drink prices on the menu are surprising. The display of the items is gorgeous, however the pastries are highly sweet - so much so we didn't finish our two croissants. For the price, I would expect freshly made croissants however these were difficult to cut through and seemed tough. All in all, for $50+ we got two large lattes and two specialty croissants. Far more than I would have expected to spent at a local shop in Albuquerque. read more

I wanted to like Amalie. I had tried to come here back in January, but it was too busy at the time. I came this time on a weekday around lunchtime and it wasn't full. They were out of the fruit pastries, but there was a wide selection of other bakery treats. I got the Dubai muffin ($7), which was Sam's Club muffin-sized and chocolaty. I got the coconut cookie butter matcha with oatmilk and after a few sips realized they had given me a latte, not a matcha. When I went up to the counter to mention it, the person in front of me had also received a latte instead of their matcha. So they remade it and brought it out to me (taking about another 10 minutes to make). At first sip, I wasn't a huge fan of the matcha and realized it tasted more like the salted coconut. So I went back up to the counter again. The gal added more cookie butter to it and I still didn't think it was quite what I had ordered (and was missing the coconut flakes that the latte had). 2026 #31 read more

My mom and I had to try here as I was missing my coffee spot in NYC. We shared the Turkish Coffee which was so flavourful. We also each ordered a pastry; I got the chocolate chip cookie croissant and she got a biscoff cake slice (I dont recall the name). Both were delicious. The ambience was nice as it is a wide open space. Many students were in there doing work and it was a very chill vibe which I enjoyed. Service was quick, as well! read more

What can I say about this spot.... Creative pastries, strong flavorful coffee, and friendly staff. I live pretty far from this spot, but anytime I am in the area I stop in. I also tend to bring folks from out of town, as it's a great stop coming back from the airport. The mango sticky rice tiramisu is one of the best desserts I have ever had! read more

I went to this shop recently to catch up with a friend. I'd been meaning to go visit. They have so many pastries that for that reason alone it would bring me back to try more. Secondly I only got a refreshing drink this time so I'll have to try coffee. I got a pineapple lemonade, which was refreshing but for my palette after a while it was a bit sweet so I couldn't finish it. The flatbread was good and so was the croissant. Service was very prompt and even brought me my pastry and drink to our seat. This spot is great for working, with a large assortment of seats. They even have a enclosed office space to work in. The coffee is great and the environment is good for working- there are plugs for computers etc. They also have a meeting room- I'm not sure if you can reserve it but I thought that was very cool. I came here with my friend and we were surprised at how large and open of an area it is considering they are in a small plaza across from UNM campus. The staff were super friendly and helpful when we couldn't decide what we wanted. We just got two speciality winter drinks which were great! Definitely a place worth checking out. read more

was free for a few hours so I decided to check out this new coffee shop that I had been meaning to stop by for a while! I loved that the place was all about middle eastern flairs! You can get some bakeries/drinks with a little bit of middle eastern hint! The shop is modern, expansive and clean. Clearly, it's also a very popular choice to hang out among locals in the area! What I loved most was that..their hours were so great! From early morning til LATE night! This was so cool...because ABQ establishments seem to somehow shut down after 8pm. But now that I know of a place that would still be open til late night at 11pm...I would definitely love to stop by for a quiet night of thinking and to enjoy their drinks again! read more

I stopped by Amalie Coffee and instantly loved the vibe. The space is super clean, modern, and cozy at the same time--definitely one of those places you can hang out or catch up with friends. I ordered the Clover Crème Chai, and WOW... it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly balanced, creamy, and full of flavor without being overly sweet. You can tell they really put thought into their drinks. The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, and the whole place just has a really elevated coffee shop feel. It's also a great spot in Nob Hill near UNM, which makes it super convenient Overall, such a solid experience. Surprisingly in the UNM area around the corner from my old home, there's a beautiful bright bakery. Decadent sumptuous desserts display and ready to be consumed inside a welcoming coffee shop. A pleasant surprise to have stopped and walked in and be greeted by such great smiles staff waiting to serve you. When I'm in my old area of town, I will make a stop. I came across this coffee shop by chance and I'm so glad I did! I was staying in the neighborhood, visiting for the weekend. This was the only local shop open on a Sunday morning in the area. The woman there said they had only been open a week and they were hoping to have their grand opening soon. She was very friendly. The coffee shop is decorated beautifully! Definitely a place you could work or study in for a couple hours. I got the Amalie latte aka the Baklava latte. Incredible! It was so smooth and not overly sweet. Got the 24 oz and with tip came out to about $10. They have several signature lattes on the menu and I wish I could have tried them all. I also got a crème brûlée Madeline. It was good. A great spot to study and get work done! I stayed here for a few hours and wasn't disturbed other than workers offering me a cup of water, which was very nice. The restaurant is very clean, neat, comfortable and aesthetic. Staff is very kind. Clean bathrooms. My smoothie was actually delicious, although a little pricey. Was actually panning on going to the tea place next door to here, but they were closed that day, Just notice this had opened up, and even better hey are open from 7:30am-11pm, spacious interior, bright and international design. Has a comfy round seating area and a bunch of smaller tables for the laptop jockeys and for more casual conversations or work. Music was up beat Arabic. We only got a few pre prepared snacks, a tasty tomato savory one and a sweet berry waffle, both were good, The coconut breeze iced late was good, but very sweet, as was my companions ube matcha, may take a litle bit to tune our orders on them, but despite being a little on our too sweet side, they were still enjoyable. This coffee shop feels high end. I love the pastries lining the cases as you wait in line to order. The selection is fantastic. The baristas have always been friendly! I came here with a friend for coffee and we were both impressed. I opted for a mango sago pudding and will definitely get it again. It was perfect for the heat- refreshing and fresh. I loved the pieces of mango. My friend got a chocolate muffin. She gave me a bite and it was yummy but a bit too dense. After one bite I was chocolated out but that could be a personal preference. The coffee was strong and well balanced with the syrups. I love that they have some later hours which is great for being near campus but the location is a bit rough. I got approached by someone asking for money in the parking lot and stepped on a half full beer can which sprayed all over my pants. Neither of these things are Amalies fault or something they can control but I felt like it should be mentioned since it was part of the experience. read more

Coffee shops in Abq pop up and leave quicker than a rain cloud! And I hope this one stays around for awhile. Not sure why all of these middle eastern coffee spots are opening, but I am digging them. The offerings on the beverage and snack side are awesome with some twists on faves in the coffee realm. Amalie has a cool vibe with plenty of space to sit and work... converse... study. It can get quite loud, but when you are having drinks for there, the wait staff go around and check on you offering water! I have two different drinks, the pistachio latte and an iced cherry matcha latte. They were both excellent. I also tired their Dubai brownies and a pecan maple eclair and both were excellent. I also tasted their chantilly croissant but that was a bit dry. The. Baristas are nice, and I enjoyed it! I'll be back, and you should flock! read more

My boyfriend took me here and it was amazing! It really is a hidden gem. We ordered a banana matcha and a Irish cream latte, both were fantastic although the Irish cream was a bit too sweet. The pastry selection is incredible! This might be a nice place to study or work. However, parking might be a bit difficult at peak hours. Overall, I will definitely be back. Had a Turkish coffee that was delicious and served in a beautiful coffee pot with small coffee cups and saucers. Everything was served on a gold tray. The Turkish coffee is strong and when I asked for some milk the staff provided steamed milk with kindness. Also tried the Dubai Croissant (amazing!), baklava w cheese (yummy) and the red velvet muffin (good). Can't wait to return. read more

Well flavored with adequate amount of graham cracker topping. The mango shaved ice was pretty good as well, but lacked actual mangoes in it. We are used to the Korean mango shaved ice from California that has a lot of mangoes in the bowls. But it's also out of season I think, so that's taken into consideration. The Taro shaved ice was okay. We really liked the very crispy coconut flakes and red bean topping. Will definitely have to return to try their other flavors. Service was acceptable. The young girl was friendly while taking orders. The man making the shaved ice was friendlier in interaction. Ambiance is clean and simple. Didn't play their video games but they seemed to be off when we went. Will return to try their other shaved ice flavors along with their boba drinks and do recommend giving this place a try!

Fair warning tho if you plan on going in the afternoon and evening be prepared to park quite a ways. Parking fills up fast in that area. I'll definitely be returning. This was a real treat, great positive attitude and love for what he does. He even introduced us to one of his specialties the Turkey shaped bread he makes for Thanksgiving. So popular now he gets hundreds of orders per year. We left with some biscochitos and other cookies to go, and a desire to try more things when we are back in Albuquerque.

Amalie Coffee is a beautifully decorated and spacious coffee/dessert shop tucked into an unassuming strip of shoppes. I imagine it would be nice to read a book alone, hangout with friends, or get some studying/work done here. Their drink menu also has matcha, smoothies, custom sodas and sparkling drinks. They offer enormous slices of cheesecake, beautifully filled and decorated croissants, various North African/Middle Eastern pastries (sweet and savory, that they will bake to warm up for you), tiramisu, and trendy fruit entrements.. as well as donuts, muffins, and bagels.
