Had a client suggest this place. It is amazing as soon as you walk in. Very high end coffee shop. Lots of great seating along with a very nice conference room. I tried the butter cream latte. After seeing this spot pop up on Tik Tok I figured we'd add it to our list to check out while visiting Albuquerque. The space itself is large with various spots for customers to sit, however it feels a bit too large for the size of the menu. The menu is predominantly drinks and pastries - however the pastries do not display pricing which led to a very high bill. Coming from a large metropolitan city, the drink prices on the menu are surprising. The display of the items is gorgeous, however the pastries are highly sweet - so much so we didn't finish our two croissants. For the price, I would expect freshly made croissants however these were difficult to cut through and seemed tough. All in all, for $50+ we got two large lattes and two specialty croissants. Far more than I would have expected to spent at a local shop in Albuquerque. read more

I wanted to like Amalie. I had tried to come here back in January, but it was too busy at the time. I came this time on a weekday around lunchtime and it wasn't full. They were out of the fruit pastries, but there was a wide selection of other bakery treats. I got the Dubai muffin ($7), which was Sam's Club muffin-sized and chocolaty. I got the coconut cookie butter matcha with oatmilk and after a few sips realized they had given me a latte, not a matcha. When I went up to the counter to mention it, the person in front of me had also received a latte instead of their matcha. So they remade it and brought it out to me (taking about another 10 minutes to make). At first sip, I wasn't a huge fan of the matcha and realized it tasted more like the salted coconut. So I went back up to the counter again. The gal added more cookie butter to it and I still didn't think it was quite what I had ordered (and was missing the coconut flakes that the latte had). 2026 #31 read more

Amalie is amazing! The coffee is great and the environment is good for working- there are plugs for computers etc. They also have a meeting room- I'm not sure if you can reserve it but I thought that was very cool. The muffin was to die for. Pretty pricy spot (muffin and latte was about $20) but worth checking out! The parking is free for 1 hr. read more

I came here with my friend and we were surprised at how large and open of an area it is considering they are in a small plaza across from UNM campus. I stopped by Amalie Coffee and instantly loved the vibe. The space is super clean, modern, and cozy at the same time--definitely one of those places you can hang out or catch up with friends. I ordered the Clover Crème Chai, and WOW... it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly balanced, creamy, and full of flavor without being overly sweet. You can tell they really put thought into their drinks. The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, and the whole place just has a really elevated coffee shop feel. It's also a great spot in Nob Hill near UNM, which makes it super convenient Overall, such a solid experience. Between the unique drinks, great ambiance, and chill energy, I'll definitely be coming back. was free for a few hours so I decided to check out this new coffee shop that I had been meaning to stop by for a while! I loved that the place was all about middle eastern flairs! You can get some bakeries/drinks with a little bit of middle eastern hint! The shop is modern, expansive and clean. Clearly, it's also a very popular choice to hang out among locals in the area! What I loved most was that..their hours were so great! From early morning til LATE night! This was so cool...because ABQ establishments seem to somehow shut down after 8pm. But now that I know of a place that would still be open til late night at 11pm...I would definitely love to stop by for a quiet night of thinking and to enjoy their drinks again! read more

A great spot to study and get work done! I stayed here for a few hours and wasn't disturbed other than workers offering me a cup of water, which was very nice. The restaurant is very clean, neat, comfortable and aesthetic. Staff is very kind. Clean bathrooms. My smoothie was actually delicious, although a little pricey. The cake was alright; the drinks are great but I wouldn't recommend any of the pastries. Pricey place but worth it because of how great a study spot it is. read more

This coffee shop feels high end. I love the pastries lining the cases as you wait in line to order. The selection is fantastic. The baristas have always been friendly! I came here with a friend for coffee and we were both impressed. I opted for a mango sago pudding and will definitely get it again. It was perfect for the heat- refreshing and fresh. I loved the pieces of mango. My friend got a chocolate muffin. She gave me a bite and it was yummy but a bit too dense. After one bite I was chocolated out but that could be a personal preference. The coffee was strong and well balanced with the syrups. I love that they have some later hours which is great for being near campus but the location is a bit rough. I got approached by someone asking for money in the parking lot and stepped on a half full beer can which sprayed all over my pants. Surprisingly in the UNM area around the corner from my old home, there's a beautiful bright bakery. Decadent sumptuous desserts display and ready to be consumed inside a welcoming coffee shop. A pleasant surprise to have stopped and walked in and be greeted by such great smiles staff waiting to serve you. When I'm in my old area of town, I will make a stop. Those looking for Dubai chocolate treats, mango mousse, housemade madeleine cookies and so much more, a must stop for enjoying treats! read more

I came across this coffee shop by chance and I'm so glad I did! I was staying in the neighborhood, visiting for the weekend. This was the only local shop open on a Sunday morning in the area. The woman there said they had only been open a week and they were hoping to have their grand opening soon. She was very friendly. The coffee shop is decorated beautifully! Definitely a place you could work or study in for a couple hours. I got the Amalie latte aka the Baklava latte. Incredible! It was so smooth and not overly sweet. Got the 24 oz and with tip came out to about $10. They have several signature lattes on the menu and I wish I could have tried them all. I also got a crème brûlée Madeline. It was good. Coffee shops in Abq pop up and leave quicker than a rain cloud! And I hope this one stays around for awhile. Not sure why all of these middle eastern coffee spots are opening, but I am digging them. The offerings on the beverage and snack side are awesome with some twists on faves in the coffee realm. Amalie has a cool vibe with plenty of space to sit and work... converse... study. It can get quite loud, but when you are having drinks for there, the wait staff go around and check on you offering water! I have two different drinks, the pistachio latte and an iced cherry matcha latte. They were both excellent. I also tired their Dubai brownies and a pecan maple eclair and both were excellent. I also tasted their chantilly croissant but that was a bit dry. The. Baristas are nice, and I enjoyed it! I'll be back, and you should flock! read more

Was actually panning on going to the tea place next door to here, but they were closed that day, Just notice this had opened up, and even better hey are open from 7:30am-11pm, spacious interior, bright and international design. Has a comfy round seating area and a bunch of smaller tables for the laptop jockeys and for more casual conversations or work. Music was up beat Arabic. We only got a few pre prepared snacks, a tasty tomato savory one and a sweet berry waffle, both were good, The coconut breeze iced late was good, but very sweet, as was my companions ube matcha, may take a litle bit to tune our orders on them, but despite being a little on our too sweet side, they were still enjoyable. Will definitely be coming back! They are hoping to have the kitchen and full menu open soon. read more

My boyfriend took me here and it was amazing! It really is a hidden gem. We ordered a banana matcha and a Irish cream latte, both were fantastic although the Irish cream was a bit too sweet. The pastry selection is incredible! This might be a nice place to study or work. However, parking might be a bit difficult at peak hours. Overall, I will definitely be back. Had a Turkish coffee that was delicious and served in a beautiful coffee pot with small coffee cups and saucers. Everything was served on a gold tray. The Turkish coffee is strong and when I asked for some milk the staff provided steamed milk with kindness. Also tried the Dubai Croissant (amazing!), baklava w cheese (yummy) and the red velvet muffin (good). Can't wait to return. read more

Immediately I like the ambiance. I like the dark woods, black outlines, and contrasting light wood panels. Super spacious inside with enough room for dates, studying, or just hanging out with a friend(s). I do not like the parking, it's tight and always crowded. Visually all their food menu items are appealing, down side is that it's not always available. I would suggest removing the food item that is unavailable. Waited in line for 12 minutes, with my drink taking 3 minutes to come out (which I thought would have been longer). Other drinks took longer to come out. Do not know if it's a system issue or just the fact that the had only one person making coffee drinks. I ordered the Arabian Desert (brown sugar latte with whip cream and cinnamon). Not a bad drink, it is a simple latte that honestly works with culture and theme of the coffee shop. You could taste the espresso, and brown sugar, the states and produced that taste palette . Give this place a try and see for yourself if this could be your go to coffee shop. read more

How rare to find truly exceptional coffee! I'm an admitted coffee snob with particular tastes. Until today there were only three places to get great coffee: a place in Naples Italy near the Stazione Centrale; my kitchen; and any Peets. Now I must add Amalie to the list. My double shot cortado was strong and flavorful. Hey, they even know what a cortado is :-). I'm looking forward to going back for a four shot cortado. Try it, you will like it, I think. read more

They were talking about their strawberry chocolate Dubai cups and I was like wow wish this was local and they were! The hours are SOO convenient like especially next to a college campus we need the caffeine at old hours of the day or just a place to work at! We split a couple of toasts too. The avocado toast came with hummus, avocado, and a drizzle of sriracha. I liked that the hummus was the base instead of just plain avocado. I think it added a nice creamy layer that worked perfectly with the sourdough and spice. The Caprese toast was classic: pesto, mozzarella, balsamic, and tomatoes. Also a solid choice. The vibe inside was really chill. People were working on laptops, chatting quietly, low music in the background. The walls had artwork from a local artist, which was a nice touch. The baristas were very friendly. Service was on point.

We couldn't secure a table on our actual anniversary, but managed to get one a couple of nights later, and it was well worth the wait. From the outside, Antiquity is understated. Step inside, however, and you're immediately welcomed into a warm, intimate atmosphere that feels like a hidden gem tucked away in Old Town Albuquerque. Owner Steve, who has been running the restaurant for nearly three decades, greeted us personally. His passion for hospitality was evident from the moment we arrived. While we waited briefly for our table, he took time to learn about us, ask what types of food we enjoy, and offer thoughtful menu recommendations. The restaurant itself is charming and authentic, with an old-world steakhouse feel that perfectly complements the historic New Mexico setting. Many of the tables and booths are arranged to create private, intimate dining spaces, making it an ideal choice for special occasions. We were touched when Steve seated us at what he called the "anniversary table," complete with a small scattering of heart confetti, despite our celebration having technically passed. Service throughout the evening was exceptional. Rather than relying on a single server, the entire staff worked seamlessly together. Water glasses were never less than half full, empty plates disappeared almost instantly, and every member of the team seemed genuinely invested in ensuring guests had a memorable experience. Even the kitchen staff engaged warmly with diners, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. As for the food, it exceeded every expectation. We started with oysters on the half shell, which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. I upgraded to the special salad, a beautiful combination of greens, apples, strawberries, mandarin oranges, walnuts, bacon, and a creamy mini brie, all brought together with a delicious pear vinaigrette. For our entrée, we chose the Châteaubriand for two. It was expertly prepared, carved tableside, and cooked perfectly. Every recommendation we received was spot-on, and the meal was so impressive that before leaving, I made another reservation for later that week just so I could return and try more of the menu before our trip ended. Antiquity offers beer and wine rather than a full bar, which was perfectly fine for us and fit the restaurant's classic, understated character. This is not an inexpensive dinner, nor should it be. What you're paying for is exceptional food, genuine hospitality, flawless service, and an atmosphere that is increasingly difficult to find. Antiquity doesn't simply serve dinner, it creates an experience. If you're visiting Albuquerque and looking for a memorable meal, especially for a special occasion, this restaurant deserves a spot at the very top of your list.

For starters, my gumbo was good, and his salad looked as good as it tasted. For entrees, husband got sucked in by the specials and ordered the schnitzel, which (to quote Shania) didn't impress me much. To clarify, there was nothing wrong with it, but I've had a lot of schnitzel, and it just failed to stand out. I kept to the classics with a filet mignon. To my surprise, it left the same impression. Again, absolutely nothing wrong with it - cooked well, quality cut, etc. - but I've had more memorable steaks at High Noon Saloon. *shrug* Highlight: The servers were exceptional. Lowlight: The sconce / light fixture over our table was in need of a dusting. Overall: A lovely evening to toast my guy's significant professional achievement.
