This was such a wonderful, flakey, light, tasty macaron!

I went to an event last night where the host had a wide variety of macaroons from the Chocolate Dude. I wanted to eat every one of them, but I had to share. Such willpower to hold me back! The one I had was iced in a white glazed icing with pink, white, and red nonpareils. I bit into it and savored every morsel. They have Dubai chocolate there that I heard about and will be heading over to try this confection out soon.

This place is cute and cozy. It's conveniently located on Route 66 the main drive there in Albuquerque next to all the other little shops. So great spot when walking around. They make all their items in house here. I got a little chocolate treat and it was tasty. My only complaint is that there is no prices posted. When I asked about the prices she said they are not listed and that she had the prices on her side and I would have to just ask about each item. I find that a little awkward and embarrassing to have to ask about each item so if I found something too expensive I had to just say oh well what about this item. But outside of that the place is really cute and the chocolate item I got was tasty and I would definitely return here again and try the coffee when I visit again. Maybe this is common practice for chocolate places and I don't know it so it's just new to me. But I still give a solid 4 star for the kindness knowledge and how it's all made here in their place and its cute cozy style of the place!

Customer Service is below average. Price TOO high. Quality is Good, but not enough to justify the price. The "Viral" Dubai Bar is WAY too expensive for the quality and taste. The inside could be a nice place to sit and enjoy your chocolate, but not really welcoming

10 out of 10 still recommend! I got their Oreo caramel apple. Inflation definitely happened! I remember the apples being seven or eight dollars but now it is $10 for one caramel apple which I think is kind of nuts! But I still will buy it because it is so refreshing to have the crisp green apple paired with the sweetness of the caramel and chocolate! They also got the viral Dubai chocolate ($20 per bar). The outer shell of the chocolate is kind of thin, so it is difficult to break into specific pieces. My sister liked how much filling there was because it made it more rich! I do think their decorations are a little bit bare, but it was very clean.

Me and my mom love Chocolate dude. The viral chocolate Dubai bar, chupacabra crunch bar and Nutella crunch bar are super tasty! The drinks are also worth mentioning as well, the chai latte iced is really nice and flavorful. Their milk hot chocolate with whipped cream is divine! Its the best i have ever had and that says alot considering i have had many different hot chocolates. In total i paid $67 for 2 drinks and 3 bars and a rocky road cluster. The employees were really kind and helpful so service overall was a 10/10. the place is so nice and cozy the ambiance of the place was very pleasant.

A must try! You'll have to eat it right away as the chocolate hardens. I made the mistake and waited to eat

On July 27th I placed a preorder for the viral Dubai chocolate bar. Today, July 30th I received a call, text and email saying my preorder was ready for pickup. Went to get my order and was handed a rather small bag. Got in my car and opened the bag to find a small package with two mini Dubai chocolate bars in it. I was highly disappointed because the product I received wasn't the one that was advertised on Instagram and on their website. As you can see in the pictures on their social media and website, the bar appears to be a decent size. Meanwhile the bar I got was two mini bars that fit into my hand. I go to their Facebook page to express my disappointment in the comment section of their post and they deleted my comments, and even blocked me from their Facebook page. What an unprofessional way to handle business. Please stop with the false advertisement! Put the correct pictures of your product on your website and social media! Don't waste $20 + tax on their chocolate bars, support a different small business instead.

We came to Albuquerque for vacation, every day we were there we finished our day with a dessert from ChocolateDude! Every single thing from the hot chocolate, lattes, to the fudge and chocolate covered strawberries was amazing! The staff was extremely friendly during every visit. As we head back home to Texas I am sad we won't have our daily ChocolateDude fix! This is definitely a must for anyone in the area or just driving through

Okay, so I'm allergic to soy and like 90% of chocolate has soy. However, this place doesn't use soy!! They use sunflower lecithin. Not only that, but the employee was patient with me staring at the case in awe of getting some chocolate for first time in a long time. It was all so delicious! I'm in love with this shop. I'll tell everyone to go there so they stay in business! Please, I'm begging you, go try them out!

It's a cute place that has coffee, and variety of chocolate confections. So many varieties, which is wonderful but it is a bit pricey for sure. Total of about 19 dollars for 2 truffles, one fudge, and one chocolate bar I got. It will be one of those once in a while treat. They were yummy!

Do they make green Chile chocolate anything?

Michael: In our experience, chocolate and green chili aren't all that compatible. Red chili is a little better. That being said, we have a wonderful Mango Red Chili and Tajin Truffle. We also make a Green Chili Pistachio brittle and Red Chili Pine… Read more

The iconic store, which boasts the tagline "New Mexico's Sweetest Tradition Since 1956," is predominantly red and white both inside and outside. So, this was one of my first pit stops on November 26, 2025. I grabbed butterfly and bear-shaped chocolates ($1.95 each) for all the youngsters in my family plus a box of the pecañero ($16.50 per 8 ounces). The candied pecans are absolutely delicious. There is spice, but not too much for me. My 12-year-old, on other hand, couldn't handle it. Lol. There was a variety of other candies. The nice male employee at the register worked diligently and in a friendly manner. Free ample parking was available. For more info, visit www.buffettscandies.com

This is a very relaxed store, with windows into each kitchen so you can see the employees creating chocolate delicacies. As we were looking at the eggs and bunnies, we saw the praying hands & Last Supper. The white chocolate Last Supper was more impressive than the milk chocolate one as you can see all the details in the white. Al, one of the employees, told us that the Last Supper is one of the more difficult to create. It does come out of a mold, but needs expert hands to cut away the extra chocolate that clings to the small details. Our niece bought the last one! Al also showed us the framed newspaper clippings about the store and its founders. He pointed out how the third generation is now running the store, and that some of their customers are also third generation. We bought some of the eggs, caramels, and white & milk chocolate butterflies. We are bringing them home and enjoying each and every one. We will be back!!
