    Rock candy

If you're a breaking bad fan this is a must stop spot when in New Mexico. There's other breaking bad spots to check locally. This one sells candy with one specifically looking like the blue crystal from the show and was used in it. They have a ton of merch and pop up stuff for photos. I tried the mint Oreo candy and a cookie both were good as was the rock candy and I'm not a fan of candy usually but they all passed the flavor test. I got a shirt, a breaking bad apron, and a coffee mug as well lol. Staff was friendly and service was fast when I was ready.

Great little store, everyone inside is very nice and they have lots of free fudge samples. Came here to get the Breaking Bad candy for gifts, ended up getting shirts too. Prices are reasonable, only complaint is the parking lot kind of sucks for a truck. I've lived here for 6 years, I'm glad I finally came. Definitely a place worth stopping at, and I'm just realizing now I forgot to get a mint chocolate pretzel to try.

Lots of delicious, handmade candy!! Fudges, taffy, truffles with so much variety!!! Any sweet tooth is sure to find something they will love!

So at the time, I had no idea that this place was the place that made the fake meth for Breaking Bad. I'm going to tell you something that may shock you... I've never seen Breaking Bad. Coming to Albuquerque, people asked if we were going to see any Breaking Bad things and I was like I don't know because I've never seen the show. Pure shock on people's faces but alas, never seen it. So, walking in to this shop, I was a bit confused about all the Breaking Bad stuff in the doorway. I thought I was coming to an old timey candy shop. I just took it as they are proud of Breaking Bad being filmed in their hometown (I mean I get freaking excited whenever I see my college featured in movies.) It wasn't until I came to write this review that I noticed people mentioning getting some "meth." If you want that blue rock, definitely come here, they have some for you. I fully wasn't expecting the X-Rated portion of this store. My bf wanted me to get a chocolate phallus for my mom but WHAT?!?! I couldn't do that. He mentioned it to her when we got home and I regret not getting one for her, she says she would have loved it. There aren't just phalluses either, plenty of other "naughty" bits. The regular candy is mostly the touristy candy shop stuff that gets sold all across America. But still worth a stop in.

The candy lady Walter white was standing outside so I got to take pictures with him and then I met the lovely G. Beautiful, kind, and talk to me a lot about Albuquerque. I love when I travel and I meet beautiful people like G. The variety of candies, gifts and T-shirt and photo opps are great. I WOULD RECOMMEND #food_vine_divine #Walter Hartwell White Sr., also #Heisenberg #saymyname #Albuquerque # breakingbad #Albuquerquetourism #newmexico

Glad this is still open. They supplied the "crystal meth" for the show Breaking Bad. They are still opened and have some adult only candies and chocolates.

Only stopped in for the breaking bad meth. She's so friendly and loves to support fans of the show! After purchasing some dime bags and t shirts she helped me put on an apron and do a photo shoot!

Easter bunnies, chocolate penises & vaginas, Breaking Bad merch, brittles, piñon caramels, licorice, truffles, fudge, coconut haystacks, and the inimitable peanut butter crunch... Josette and Ryan and Tammy and Orina are sooooo nice... there's even sugar free for diabetics. And of course Walter White's blue meth (this is the store that supplied the props). You cannot miss this stop on your Breaking Bad tour!!!!

Visited The Candy Lady solely because this is the store that made the blue "crystal meth" for Breaking Bad. I really want to do a Breaking Bad tour in and around Albuquerque but this wasn't quite the visit for it. Instead, I got a glimpse of Breaking Bad 'paraphernalia' while walking around this area of ABQ. I totally took photos with the cardboard cutouts and the trays of blue rock candy and I most definitely purchased some as souvenirs for myself and friends. There are plenty of other Breaking Bad items available for purchase including shirts and mugs but I thought they were a bit overpriced. Other candy/treats are also available including the 18+ candy/chocolate section. Enjoy.

Had to come here - the boy loves Breaking Bad and this is where the blue crystals infamously came from for the show! Great service and lots of variety offered - even a hearty sugar free selection! A fun stop!

Great time here. For Breaking Bad fans, this is where they made the blue meth candy for the show. There's a nice set up and some pretty cool unique tee shirts specifically designed from the Candy Lady store. Debbie, the owner was extremely warm and sweet. Must stop in ABQ.

They take time out to show you around, let you try samples of things, and the Breaking Bad meth room is awesome.

The iconic store, which boasts the tagline "New Mexico's Sweetest Tradition Since 1956," is predominantly red and white both inside and outside. So, this was one of my first pit stops on November 26, 2025. I grabbed butterfly and bear-shaped chocolates ($1.95 each) for all the youngsters in my family plus a box of the pecañero ($16.50 per 8 ounces). The candied pecans are absolutely delicious. There is spice, but not too much for me. My 12-year-old, on other hand, couldn't handle it. Lol. There was a variety of other candies. The nice male employee at the register worked diligently and in a friendly manner. Free ample parking was available. For more info, visit www.buffettscandies.com

This is a very relaxed store, with windows into each kitchen so you can see the employees creating chocolate delicacies. As we were looking at the eggs and bunnies, we saw the praying hands & Last Supper. The white chocolate Last Supper was more impressive than the milk chocolate one as you can see all the details in the white. Al, one of the employees, told us that the Last Supper is one of the more difficult to create. It does come out of a mold, but needs expert hands to cut away the extra chocolate that clings to the small details. Our niece bought the last one! Al also showed us the framed newspaper clippings about the store and its founders. He pointed out how the third generation is now running the store, and that some of their customers are also third generation. We bought some of the eggs, caramels, and white & milk chocolate butterflies. We are bringing them home and enjoying each and every one. We will be back!!
