Very cute little spot. They have such nice desserts and coffee. The choices of chocolates, caramel apples and glazed pretzel treats they had under one roof is unimaginable. We tried a few and loved all of them. The lady at the counter was very nice and they had a cute sitting option outside. It's cute, refreshing and delicious all at the same time.

    Yummy assortment of sweets!!

I was walking my dogs in Old Town & could smell coffee and it had me craving some- I usually get the caramel blended Frappuccino from Starbucks, so I asked a sweet lady who was working if she could make one for me. It was DELICIOUS, and she was AMAZING! I can't wait to go back again- it was better than Starbucks! lol! Great place!!

Beautiful facade to the store, very colorful and cheerful. The chocolate covered snacks are good, very standard, nothing too special. Nice place to sit down and grab some coffee to relax. I bet summer time this place gets much busier, I didn't see anyone in January winter, maybe too cold for tourism.

Let's be realistic here. Old Town is riddled with candy stores after the raging success of the Candy Lady. This is my second visit to La Choco and I really want to like them, primarily because their location is really awesome. But I just can't muster the affection I'm looking for. First of all, their product is just average. Tonight we got the milk chocolate caramel pecan clusters. They are slighter bigger than some of the candy places but very overpriced and taste like something from a chain store or a prepackaged box. Second, they just aren't friendly. Old Town is all about that tourism, baby! And tourism means you should smile at least on occasion. I shouldn't be the one trying to make this less awkward. And speaking of professionalism, spelling your product correctly should be a priority. It's one thing to spell something wrong to be cute. It's another to not be able to spell pickle because you just can't spell. Take some pride in your store!

Their forte is in their hot chocolates and smoothies. In particular, you want to try the Mexican Hot Cocoa although the other ones with chile sound interesting. Nothing like strolling down Old Town sipping on a hot Cocoa from this joint. If you want something cold, try their smoothies, a good one is the Mango with Chamoy which had many tropical flavors with a mix of spicy.

a paper plate of food and a sign that reads green chile - A foam cup holds a slice of apple and a piece of fried food, with a toothpick inserted into the apple slice. The cup is on a weathered wooden surface outdoors. A packaged baked good labeled "Green Chile" from La Choco in Albuquerque is positioned in front of the cup. The scene suggests a casual outdoor food setting, possibly at a market or food stand.

Love the creative flavors of Chile and lime abs salt and sweet. Loved the fudge and chili lime apple

chili lime salt apple - Four caramel apples coated with cinnamon sugar and inserted with wooden sticks are lined up on a tray. The apples are covered in a crunchy cinnamon sugar coating, with some loose sugar granules scattered on the tray. The background features holiday-themed decorations, including a plush bear wearing a Santa hat and various wrapped candies, indicating a festive setting.

This chili, lime, salt on a Granny Smith apple is the best thing I've ever tasted in my life! The pine nut apple amazing. The owners incredible, patient, and kind. Family run business. The fam was making dinner and they were so cute. This shop is full of life and joy. They even cut the apple up for us.

Nice patio area to sit. It is small and not well lit, but nice unique quality. They have homemade chocolate treats, lollies and more. Stop in and sit watching everyone mill about, it was quite nice. There is an adjacent gift shop next door.

Sweet treats for this sunny Sunday!

This is our favorite dessert spot in old town, plus I don't have to worry about taking my kids inside and seeing trashy stuff like we did at the candy lady. ‍ My favorite is a frozen chocolate banana, but I got an apple this time, and it was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S. The lemonade is delicious and my kids like the nut cluster things, I don't know what they're called, my husband orders them. I don't feel like it's overpriced like some have said. You get what you pay for I think, the ladies are always nice, and the seating inside and outside is quaint and comfy!

Nice out if he way sweets shop. They make everything on site. Slight language barrier so they cannot explain everything they are doing but they try. Love the white chocolate and brittle. Kind of high priced but it is in old town.

I also really loved the Green Chile Fudge (yes I went all in on the chile thing but when in Rome...).

Whether it be a prepackaged candy bar or their fudge that is out for display. While he is browsing their offerings to fill his sweet tooth craving I decide to pull up my handy dandy Yelp app to get a little more info on this here candy factory. Low and behold..... it's the 2nd business I tried to check into in the mall...only to find out they were not listed. Being the awesome person I am I asked the Candy Stripper (cashier in layman terms) behind the counter if she had a business card so that I can add their business info as I'm sure other Kool Yelpers have frequented this spot while sludging through the trenches of the mall. She was less than enthusiastic about my inquiry even after I asked her if she was aware of the Yelp website. Needless to say she was neither friendly or in anyway personable to any if the patrons I saw in the shop while we walked around. While I don't like being negative or sending out negative vibes I will come back soon and give them another shot. I can only hope they become more sugary and sweet and one would expect the employees to be in a place that normally brings joy and sunshine to young and old alike.... positives: nice candy selection. my nephew picked out a sucker with a grasshopper. oh joy!!!

I've been to different locations of this company as far away as California and I've always considered the goodies there to be special treats. I recently wanted to send a gift of candy apples to a relative back east so I got on the website to place my order. To my great disappointment, the apples were listed as ''available in store only.'' I didn't want to go inside a store because of covid so I gave a call to a local Albuquerque store in the Coronado Mall. The customer service there is fantastic! I spoke to Shay who was super nice and helpful! I told her what I was trying to do and she let me know that her store was actually locally owned and they do ship candy apples! I didn't have to go to the store since she let me place my order by phone. It was as easy as could be. She even sent me the tracking number after dropping the box off at the UPS office. That kind of customer service is way too rare. I'm glad to have a local business to support that sells great chocolates for special gifts. I'm also looking forward to when it is safe to go out and do in-person shopping again so I can pick up some treats for myself!
