Solid spot for q cup of Joe! Has a "chain feel" to it and not the local comfy spot to hang out but they made a great iced americano! Nice and smooth like I wanted and it was refreshing on this warm 86 degree day! Staff was friendly and efficient. My reason for not giving 5 stars was that I was not impressed with the pastry selection and seating was not that comfortable or cozy to hang out in. read more

Heatwave Coffee is hands down my daily café and absolute favorite spot. The coffee is always perfectly dialed, and the latte art is consistently beautiful. What do you do when you need caffeine STAT and you're in Albuquerque? You go for Yelp to help and find the cutest cafe in town. Heatwave Coffee is properly named, has everything you need for your coffee fix, and feels like a small town coffee shop you should support out in the desert. I loved the seating, the plants, and of course the coffee options. They have specials and the usual. I got their Vanilla Bean Iced Latte and the Iced Mocha. They have milk alternatives if you need, free parking, and there's a cat cafe right around the corner. What more could you want? Oh great quality coffee? Well duh. Super cute coffee shop with a chill vibe. I had the strawberry match which looked super cool and tasted great! The matcha wasn't sweetened which I liked, the strawberry jam in it was great but I wish there was a bit more. I ended up getting oat milk instead of whole (for my tummy) . The girl who took my order was super nice! My only complaint was with the drink was $8.88 out the door with a dollar tip which is hard to justify especially with the drink having a shit ton of ice in it. I'll def go back to study but I think I'll stick to coffee which is a little more price conscious read more

The location offers decent seating inside with a couple tables outside if you want to sit in and enjoy your coffee or work from here. Pros: I like the product! Reasonable affordable for a date with a bite to eat. They're genius for their little burrito additions. Also, they got me to like matcha! I like my stuff sweeter for the Strawberry matcha was AWESOME! Cons: Music is WAY TO LOUD, Service is on the slower side, but nothing to the extent of not returning. Coffee boutique places have popped up like breweries in New Mexico so of course let's give local a try. The apple cider was so good! Made for my granddaughter and the chair equally as good. Service with a smile and I loved the simplicity of the place. Give it a try. They tend to be a bit expensive but that's okay for the once in a while treat! read more

Albuquerque has a pretty great coffee scene, but the NE Heights neighborhood has been sadly lacking in spots - until now. This coffee shop is adorable, comfy, quick and delicious. Highly recommend trying their Vanilla Bourbon Latte both iced and hot. A great place to meet up, take your laptop to get some work done - there's plenty of seating and even some outdoor tables. The barista staff is super friendly and helpful if you don't know what to try. If you enjoy Bristol Donuts, you'll be happy to find them here at the counter as well as a small burrito selection. What an amazing coffee shop! The baristas are always smiling and very sweet. There is plenty of parking which is a major plus! Their menu is straight forward and has an option for all people both coffee and non-coffee drinkers. Their seasonal options are always well designed and worth the try. Cute coffee shop with nice interior decor. They use little bear coffee so if you're looking for it outside of their two locations, you'll find both drinks and beans for purchase here. Their latte is consistent with what you'll get at LB which is a compliment. Prices on the drinks are reasonable and the folks behind the counter were very friendly. protip: if you're navigating from apple maps it will direct you to a different location. Heatwave is located in a strip mall right beside starry moon, so it might be easier to navigate to starry moon to get here! read more

The style of this place gives off a lighthearted and tranquil atmosphere. The layout of the coffee bar and number of seats were basically harmonious with each other. The staff were incredibly friendly and they know how to make beautiful latte art! Tepid, overpriced mocha. It was also deafeningly loud, but they turned the music up even louder, and then the barista was banging out coffee ground against, I guess, a snare drum. It seems popular, but it's not for me! read more

OH MY GOSH!! This is truly the best coffee shop I've been to in ABQ. My favorite drink so far is the coconut creamy matcha, which is one of the seasonal items they're serving up for the summer. I've also ALREADY had their mocha and iced latte both of which are to die for! They're a local family owned business and I am so happy to support them everyday of the week. All of the baristas are super friendly and willing to make suggestions if you don't know what you would like. Not to mention the location is easy to access and the vibes are immaculate. Please everyone go visit them ASAP! PS: try the naked waffle with your next order, they're so cool and delicious. read more

I had really had high hopes of a good experience here and I'm sorry to say it was not but the staff was helpful and polite so that was a plus. We couldn't secure a table on our actual anniversary, but managed to get one a couple of nights later, and it was well worth the wait. From the outside, Antiquity is understated. Step inside, however, and you're immediately welcomed into a warm, intimate atmosphere that feels like a hidden gem tucked away in Old Town Albuquerque. Owner Steve, who has been running the restaurant for nearly three decades, greeted us personally. His passion for hospitality was evident from the moment we arrived. While we waited briefly for our table, he took time to learn about us, ask what types of food we enjoy, and offer thoughtful menu recommendations. The restaurant itself is charming and authentic, with an old-world steakhouse feel that perfectly complements the historic New Mexico setting. Many of the tables and booths are arranged to create private, intimate dining spaces, making it an ideal choice for special occasions. We were touched when Steve seated us at what he called the "anniversary table," complete with a small scattering of heart confetti, despite our celebration having technically passed. Service throughout the evening was exceptional. Rather than relying on a single server, the entire staff worked seamlessly together. Water glasses were never less than half full, empty plates disappeared almost instantly, and every member of the team seemed genuinely invested in ensuring guests had a memorable experience. Even the kitchen staff engaged warmly with diners, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. As for the food, it exceeded every expectation. We started with oysters on the half shell, which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. I upgraded to the special salad, a beautiful combination of greens, apples, strawberries, mandarin oranges, walnuts, bacon, and a creamy mini brie, all brought together with a delicious pear vinaigrette. For our entrée, we chose the Châteaubriand for two. It was expertly prepared, carved tableside, and cooked perfectly.
