Stopped in with my son a few months ago! Little bear has been on my coffee bucket list for a while! I got their signature latte and it was delicious not to sweet just right. Really enjoyed my visit to Little Bear Coffee ! Unfortunately I wasted my time and energy going to Humble Coffee this AM and they were out of matcha and didn't expect any shipments anytime soon so drove across town to Little Bear to get my fix. It's imperative to get my matcha in the AM as I'm driving for hours and hours these days and I need to stay alert. However, if you're looking to sit down for a while, try to come early. I went during the midday and found the place packed (but not terribly loud). That is also a good sign the place is popular and good! I got the Matcha latte hot. It was moderately priced, and tasted sweet with a hint of Matcha bitterness to it. I've been here a number of times now. I live a mile away and walk over to grab a coffee or some matcha. During my first visit, I ordered a vegan burrito and an oat milk latte. The vegan burrito is NOT my favorite, but I don't hold that against them because I'm not vegan nor have I ever had vegan "eggs." I just won't be ordering that again. It was a texture issue with me. The latte was yummy. Well made and they didn't forget my oat milk substitution that I asked for. On my next visit, I ordered a hot matcha latte. It was also well made and pretty quick considering the long queue of orders. I haven't tried any of the pastries there but they seem like a big hit considering they are almost always selling out. I come by about 3 times a week since moving to ABQ. I work from home and it's a good spot to do work. The WiFi is slow at times but I stay for the vibes and good coffee. So, I had been hearing about LBC, and the place we had originally chosen to go was closed on Mondays. I ordered a pot of oolong tea, my girlfriend ordered a latte. By the time we had bought both it was $18 with tip. We sat & chatted for about an hour. The location was clean, and friendly. The tables are a bit close together, but not cramped. The staff was personable. We came at an odd time of 330p.m. their baked goods were being cleared out of their case. I noted the offered breakfast burritos but wasn't able to find a menu of what was available to choose from. I admit, I didn't ask. I just decided drinks were it, since it wasn't easier to figure out. I don't love their coffee (the roast is just not to my taste - if it helps you assess, I like Peet's dark roasts and Cutbow here in town). I don't particularly love the Little Bear Coffee vibe (a little precious for me). I don't love that there's only one size (twelve measly ounces?!) of "to go" coffee cup or that it might take five minutes standing around before the baristas you tipped ten minutes ago deign to refill the drip coffee in your "stay there" mug. But there are good areas to sit and talk. A wraparound porch has a few different sections with nice seating. It's pleasant out there. Inside has a few different types of seating, and they keep it plenty cold in the summertime. So . . . I'm glad to know about Little Bear. I go there sometimes, but only for convenience. You should check it out, as it might suit your tastes better than it does mine (there are good things about it) - but it's not a place I insist my friends really ought to try. read more

This is a cute coffee spot in town! It was louder inside than I expected. The music was upbeat and loud as opposed to soft elevator music. There were also lots of younger people. Many were on their laptops in the back seating area, so it left the outside clear. There are so many tables outside btw. They do have a lot of space. There was plenty of parking. The baristas are friendly. I got a matcha latte, and they served it in a big cup that was hard to carry away from the bar. It was filled to the top. This place slaps! A true third wave coffee shop! The desert bloom drip is so fruity, so floral, and so delicious! Husband said his cappuccino was great too! The layers on the tulip pour were stellar, perfect texture! The vibes were immaculate! Place is decked out in plants, midwestern theming, and cute merch! Reasonable prices and has ample seating! Only issue is that I have gluten and dairy allergies, and when I asked the person at the register if the oat milk was gluten free (important factor for me), they simply shrugged, smiled, and said "oh I have no idea," which, in hindsight, is actually really funny. Felt like I was in a skit, haha. But they didn't go check or make any effort to check, they just looked at me until I ordered. I know it wasn't meant any type of way, it was just a point-blank, honest answer (which I would prefer to a lie) and I ended up loving the drip regardless, but allergen information is SO important homies!! I did stare at the baristas as they made drinks and figured out they use califia farms oat (gluten free), so if anyone needs that info -- here it is! Would've been super easy to check though y'all. Beautiful space inside and out, plenty of parking, scored front row slot to be in and out quickly on the way out of town. Asked the cashier for suggestions, really didn't seem confident in their suggestions. Zero energy and not welcoming. Matcha was decent. Little Bear Coffee is a great local coffee shop. I don't drink coffee very often but I found the cafe, their coffee and a tiramisu(!) doughnut to be quite good. I tried their iced LB Latte (don't be an idiot like me..I literally asked them..what is LB...and they said it's for Little Bear..it's basically a cedar vanilla latte (made from their housemade syrup). Later on that morning, I heard a few people asked the same question..so I didn't feel so bad after all! I liked that the area had good parking lot size (it's shared with other shops nearby..but on the weekend..I suspected most of the cars I saw were mostly for Little Bear Coffee. When I got there around 7:30am, it was so early that there weren't many people (I really don't go to cafe that early..but..since I had to do something early mornig and had another appointment later on that morning..I wouldn't trust myself to go home and take a nap and be able to not miss that meeting later that day). However, when I left around 10:15am, the shops were full of people and were pretty lively. Parking spaces were noticeably filled up as well. Overall, a nice and lively environment. They didn't have much food selection (just some basic pastries or burritos)...so I opted for a tiramisu yeast donut. I thought it was light and I wouldn't mind eating that again. Overall, a great, pleasant experience. Not so much a great place to sit for so long and work on your computer though (the tables were small...and not too many outlet there). It wasn't a problem for me as I got there so early to pick a seat in front of an outlet..and I was working on my mobile phone. But if you plan to sit and work on your laptop, beware, you may have very small space to work with..and may not be able to get your laptop juiced up at all. read more

Little Bear has great coffee and always a calming atmosphere, even when it's crowded. The live plants everywhere enhance the ambiance. It's a great place to work. Plenty of people do. They now offer decaf espresso, which is a major plus for those of us who struggle with sleeping. This is their first location. It's a perfect spot and helped relieve a coffeehouse desert in town, joining a Flying Star Cafe a few blocks away. Unlike FSC, Little Bear doesn't have a frenetic feel. It feels more personal. I was excited to try this cute place, but I was so disappointed. The young man at the counter was kind of rude and abrupt. The products were insanely overpriced, which would be ok if they tasted good, which sadly they did not. The doughnuts were very stale, definitely more than a day old. I stood for quite a long time waiting for my glass of iced tea before the server told me they would call me when it was ready. I was on the patio and didn't hear, and by the time I got the lukewarm "iced tea" it was overly watery. The peppermint blend had another herb I found distasteful, so in the end I suppose it was ok that it was too melted ice and not enough ice. I didn't love Little Bear and won't go back. Please make your tea chilled in advance, so it doesn't melt all the ice, and $5 for a small, non-refillable glass of poor iced tea is just too much. Perhaps offer a refillable glass for that price that is plain tea without some weird herbs for us regular folks. read more

This coffee shop was so cute! I was traveling in NM for a work conference, and happened upon Little Bear to grab a pick-me-up in between sessions.
