First, how is this place not a full 5 stars? Great coffee, super people, and of course the atmosphere smells like coffee! I was greeted at the door by a customer's very friendly golden lab, best greeting of the day btw. The coffee was as requested without issue. There is only one size (12oz) so I grabbed two since I'm a traveling man today. I like my coffee so needed that spare. Cinnamon rolls can be found but overall this is a coffee shop. Not like grandma's hash slinging eggs over easy, coffee, reading, chatting, and just enjoying the day in general. If I had more time, I would have written some on my dissertation this morning. Great & amazing coffee! I ordered the marzipan drink & my friend ordered the pandan matcha. The marzipan drink isn't as sweet as I thought it would be, and the baristas made the espresso drink to fit the full cup. The pandan matcha was super good & a bit "sweeter" so I enjoyed that too. Huge space for you to do work, homework or study, lots of seating too! read more

First off - love the layout - plenty of options for seating. Indoor, outdoor, double, big groups, small, community - love it. The baristas were so friendly and gave great suggestions. We liked both of our coffee drinks - not super strong so if you like a heavy hit of caffeine I'd say get an extra shot. But great flavors and smooth. The lavender cake was so good!! I wouldn't have had a clue it was gluten free if he hadn't told me! Super yummy ! read more

Stopped in with my son a few months ago! Little bear has been on my coffee bucket list for a while! I got their signature latte and it was delicious not to sweet just right. Service was super helpful when trying to pick a coffee and picking a donut too! The space is so cute love all the plants. A good amount if indoor and outdoor seating as well. read more

Had a delicious matcha latte today at little bear :) first stop on my Albuquerque matcha trail did not disappoint!! The matcha was whisked properly and was perfectly frothy and naturally a little sweet, I loved it! The color was great as well. 8.5/10 for my matcha experience and 5/5 stars for little bear Definitely will be back for a hot matcha with the latte art! read more

Really enjoyed my visit to Little Bear Coffee ! Unfortunately I wasted my time and energy going to Humble Coffee this AM and they were out of matcha and didn't expect any shipments anytime soon so drove across town to Little Bear to get my fix. It's imperative to get my matcha in the AM as I'm driving for hours and hours these days and I need to stay alert. This Little Bear location was very modern, chic & clean with cool looking baristas that looked like well trained baristas with great smiles, service and perfect made drinks. I have been pleasantly surprised by the Uptown location for Little Bear Coffee. You greeted outside by a cute statue of bears on a tree. The inside is modern, sleek, with lots of options for seating. However, if you're looking to sit down for a while, try to come early. I went during the midday and found the place packed (but not terribly loud). That is also a good sign the place is popular and good! I got the Matcha latte hot. It was moderately priced, and tasted sweet with a hint of Matcha bitterness to it. One of the better matcha lattes I've had. I didn't get any pastries, but they have plenty of full amount of options available. If I ever need a study place outside of my home. I would come here. read more

I've been here a number of times now. I live a mile away and walk over to grab a coffee or some matcha. During my first visit, I ordered a vegan burrito and an oat milk latte. The vegan burrito is NOT my favorite, but I don't hold that against them because I'm not vegan nor have I ever had vegan "eggs." I just won't be ordering that again. It was a texture issue with me. The latte was yummy. Well made and they didn't forget my oat milk substitution that I asked for. On my next visit, I ordered a hot matcha latte. It was also well made and pretty quick considering the long queue of orders. I haven't tried any of the pastries there but they seem like a big hit considering they are almost always selling out. I come by about 3 times a week since moving to ABQ. I work from home and it's a good spot to do work. The WiFi is slow at times but I stay for the vibes and good coffee. Whenever I've stopped by the shop is cleanly and the staff is friendly. They're always patient with my many questions. read more

A ton of people working here and there's a ton of outlets. At one point they opened the roll up door, but I think it messed with the thermostat and I started getting blasted with freezing air. I could've moved so not knocking any stars for that. read more

So, I had been hearing about LBC, and the place we had originally chosen to go was closed on Mondays. I ordered a pot of oolong tea, my girlfriend ordered a latte. By the time we had bought both it was $18 with tip. We sat & chatted for about an hour. The location was clean, and friendly. The tables are a bit close together, but not cramped. The staff was personable. We came at an odd time of 330p.m. their baked goods were being cleared out of their case. I noted the offered breakfast burritos but wasn't able to find a menu of what was available to choose from. I admit, I didn't ask. I just decided drinks were it, since it wasn't easier to figure out. Hope to try it again... but probably not too often. read more

Little Bear boasts an excellent location with charming indoor and outdoor seating. The coffee is quite good, albeit rather expensive, priced at $4.30 for a 12oz drip, no frills. The baristas have a somewhat unfriendly demeanor, projecting an "I'm too cool for you vibe". I would recommend Little Bear if you are comfortable with getting less than what your money is worth, enjoy being treated as if you are inferior, and desire a quality cup of coffee in a trendy café. read more

This is a cute coffee spot in town! It was louder inside than I expected. The music was upbeat and loud as opposed to soft elevator music. There were also lots of younger people. Many were on their laptops in the back seating area, so it left the outside clear. There are so many tables outside btw. They do have a lot of space. There was plenty of parking. The baristas are friendly. I got a matcha latte, and they served it in a big cup that was hard to carry away from the bar. It was filled to the top. They had donuts in a case, but the donuts looked old. read more

I don't love their coffee (the roast is just not to my taste - if it helps you assess, I like Peet's dark roasts and Cutbow here in town). I don't particularly love the Little Bear Coffee vibe (a little precious for me). I don't love that there's only one size (twelve measly ounces?!) of "to go" coffee cup or that it might take five minutes standing around before the baristas you tipped ten minutes ago deign to refill the drip coffee in your "stay there" mug. But there are good areas to sit and talk. A wraparound porch has a few different sections with nice seating. It's pleasant out there. Inside has a few different types of seating, and they keep it plenty cold in the summertime. So . . . I'm glad to know about Little Bear. I go there sometimes, but only for convenience. You should check it out, as it might suit your tastes better than it does mine (there are good things about it) - but it's not a place I insist my friends really ought to try. read more

This place slaps! A true third wave coffee shop! The desert bloom drip is so fruity, so floral, and so delicious! Husband said his cappuccino was great too! The layers on the tulip pour were stellar, perfect texture! The vibes were immaculate! Place is decked out in plants, midwestern theming, and cute merch! Reasonable prices and has ample seating! Only issue is that I have gluten and dairy allergies, and when I asked the person at the register if the oat milk was gluten free (important factor for me), they simply shrugged, smiled, and said "oh I have no idea," which, in hindsight, is actually really funny. Felt like I was in a skit, haha. But they didn't go check or make any effort to check, they just looked at me until I ordered. I know it wasn't meant any type of way, it was just a point-blank, honest answer (which I would prefer to a lie) and I ended up loving the drip regardless, but allergen information is SO important homies!! I did stare at the baristas as they made drinks and figured out they use califia farms oat (gluten free), so if anyone needs that info -- here it is! Would've been super easy to check though y'all. Nice high-end (and pricey) coffee shop with ample seating indoors and outdoors in the shade. The pumpkin spice latte was very subtle but was still good. My cinnamon & sugar old-fashioned donut was great, especially when dipped in my latte. read more

Little Bear Coffee is a great local coffee shop. I don't drink coffee very often but I found the cafe, their coffee and a tiramisu(!) doughnut to be quite good. I tried their iced LB Latte (don't be an idiot like me..I literally asked them..what is LB...and they said it's for Little Bear..it's basically a cedar vanilla latte (made from their housemade syrup). Later on that morning, I heard a few people asked the same question..so I didn't feel so bad after all! I liked that the area had good parking lot size (it's shared with other shops nearby..but on the weekend..I suspected most of the cars I saw were mostly for Little Bear Coffee. When I got there around 7:30am, it was so early that there weren't many people (I really don't go to cafe that early..but..since I had to do something early mornig and had another appointment later on that morning..I wouldn't trust myself to go home and take a nap and be able to not miss that meeting later that day). However, when I left around 10:15am, the shops were full of people and were pretty lively. Parking spaces were noticeably filled up as well. Overall, a nice and lively environment. They didn't have much food selection (just some basic pastries or burritos)...so I opted for a tiramisu yeast donut. I thought it was light and I wouldn't mind eating that again. Overall, a great, pleasant experience. Not so much a great place to sit for so long and work on your computer though (the tables were small...and not too many outlet there). It wasn't a problem for me as I got there so early to pick a seat in front of an outlet..and I was working on my mobile phone. But if you plan to sit and work on your laptop, beware, you may have very small space to work with..and may not be able to get your laptop juiced up at all. read more

Beautiful space inside and out, plenty of parking, scored front row slot to be in and out quickly on the way out of town. Asked the cashier for suggestions, really didn't seem confident in their suggestions. Zero energy and not welcoming. Matcha was decent. The LB latte tasted like sweet shoe juice- that was the cashier's suggestion. From what I saw online versus what I experienced in real life really did not match. Grabbed some beans so I'll be looking forward to trying it at home back in Texas. Won't come back here again. read more

Little Bear has great coffee and always a calming atmosphere, even when it's crowded. The live plants everywhere enhance the ambiance. It's a great place to work. Plenty of people do. They now offer decaf espresso, which is a major plus for those of us who struggle with sleeping. This is their first location. It's a perfect spot and helped relieve a coffeehouse desert in town, joining a Flying Star Cafe a few blocks away. Unlike FSC, Little Bear doesn't have a frenetic feel. It feels more personal. It focuses on the coffee, making it better. I'm a fan. read more

A lively coffee shop, there were people studying, catching up with friends, and everything in between. When we first arrived the place was loud because so many groups were chatting but as those groups left it became quiet. So be prepared with headphones if coming to work. I got the golden milk which was good I would have preferred a stronger flavor but an overall good drink. Friendly and fast service as well. They handled everything well! read more

Little bear has embraced that concept and combined it with truly gourmet coffees, coffee nerd staff that is a pleasure to learn. This coffee shop was so cute! I was traveling in NM for a work conference, and happened upon Little Bear to grab a pick-me-up in between sessions. I had an orange something or other cappuccino and I LOVED it. I'm usually a black coffee girl, but their espresso drinks looked too good to resist and I'm so glad I tried it. I also got a breakfast burrito and was pleasantly surprised with how delish it was. I'll be back for work next year and will definitely be making a stop here again! read more

I missed my morning coffee so was searching for an afternoon latte. This place was on our way home from hiking. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling great so I waited in the car while my husband went in and got the coffee. Now he's not a coffee person but he came out and his first words were 'you would have loved that place'. There was even a barista wearing a beret and making coffee art! I love the space. Unexpectedly, it is decently full on a Sunday morning before 9AM. The latte I got and the matcha my husband had were both on the spot. A cup of good coffee makes me happy. No, no need to any syrup or sweetener. It's just good. I am also very impressed by how the baristas handle the milk foam with plant-based milk. You cannot even tell it's not regular by looking at the latte art they pour. As a non-professional pouring latte art for fun, they got my respect! read more

I was excited to try this cute place, but I was so disappointed. The young man at the counter was kind of rude and abrupt. The products were insanely overpriced, which would be ok if they tasted good, which sadly they did not. The doughnuts were very stale, definitely more than a day old. I stood for quite a long time waiting for my glass of iced tea before the server told me they would call me when it was ready. I was on the patio and didn't hear, and by the time I got the lukewarm "iced tea" it was overly watery. The peppermint blend had another herb I found distasteful, so in the end I suppose it was ok that it was too melted ice and not enough ice. I didn't love Little Bear and won't go back. Please make your tea chilled in advance, so it doesn't melt all the ice, and $5 for a small, non-refillable glass of poor iced tea is just too much. Perhaps offer a refillable glass for that price that is plain tea without some weird herbs for us regular folks. read more

I visited for the first time and I ordered one of their specialty lattes and the vegan burrito. The latte was just okay a bit overpriced and definitely wouldn't go out of my way to go again, coffee shop environment seemed a bit pretentious for my liking, and they only offered one size drinks. The burrito was tasty though but small. read more

The Breakfast Panini was very good and had the perfect ratio of toppings (turkey, eggs, and cheese). I opted to add green chile, but it was not fresh, most likely jarred. Not bad, but it could be better. I'll also note that the sandwich had a bit too much black pepper sprinkled on it. The cold brew was very weak, and when I asked about it, the owner explained that it was made fresh daily from a medium roast. A common misconception is that the roast of coffee affects the strength. People often assume dark roast equals stronger coffee. However, that mainly affects the flavor notes and character of the coffee. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the owner didn't offer to make me something else or perhaps add a shot of espresso, which was a bit disappointing. The white chocolate lavender scone was delicious. The texture was light and fluffy on the inside, crisp and crumbly on the outside, with just the right amount of sweetness. The lavender was not overpowering, just subtle enough to add a hint of flavor. All in all, I don't know that I would go out of my way to find this place again, but if they happened to pop up somewhere nearby, I'd definitely grab a scone and maybe try their iced Americano.

I've been buying from Moon's for years, and during a trip for the Balloon Fiesta in 2019, my son and I had the pleasure of meeting Joy and Jori in person. They were so kind and welcoming, and it made us appreciate their work even more. In my opinion, their roasting is spot-on--rich, flavorful, and always balanced. Every blend I've tried has been incredible. Having a burr grinder to grind these is key! My son's more of a tea guy, and he was excited to pick up some of their loose leaf selections too. If you ever get the chance, go visit Moon's and meet these wonderful folks. The coffee somehow tastes even better when you know who's behind it.

We couldn't secure a table on our actual anniversary, but managed to get one a couple of nights later, and it was well worth the wait. From the outside, Antiquity is understated. Step inside, however, and you're immediately welcomed into a warm, intimate atmosphere that feels like a hidden gem tucked away in Old Town Albuquerque. Owner Steve, who has been running the restaurant for nearly three decades, greeted us personally. His passion for hospitality was evident from the moment we arrived. While we waited briefly for our table, he took time to learn about us, ask what types of food we enjoy, and offer thoughtful menu recommendations. The restaurant itself is charming and authentic, with an old-world steakhouse feel that perfectly complements the historic New Mexico setting. Many of the tables and booths are arranged to create private, intimate dining spaces, making it an ideal choice for special occasions. We were touched when Steve seated us at what he called the "anniversary table," complete with a small scattering of heart confetti, despite our celebration having technically passed. Service throughout the evening was exceptional. Rather than relying on a single server, the entire staff worked seamlessly together. Water glasses were never less than half full, empty plates disappeared almost instantly, and every member of the team seemed genuinely invested in ensuring guests had a memorable experience. Even the kitchen staff engaged warmly with diners, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. As for the food, it exceeded every expectation. We started with oysters on the half shell, which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. I upgraded to the special salad, a beautiful combination of greens, apples, strawberries, mandarin oranges, walnuts, bacon, and a creamy mini brie, all brought together with a delicious pear vinaigrette. For our entrée, we chose the Châteaubriand for two. It was expertly prepared, carved tableside, and cooked perfectly. Every recommendation we received was spot-on, and the meal was so impressive that before leaving, I made another reservation for later that week just so I could return and try more of the menu before our trip ended.
