There are so many drinks to choose from, some bakery treats, and on weekend, Croffles (croissant dough waffles). Since it was Saturday I ordered the strawberry croffle and a cucumber sparking water, my husband tried one of the lattes. Everything was ready quick and tasted great. I love blackbirds so I was sold as soon as I saw the raven (crow?) beckoning me in. The decor did not disappoint! Blackbird art everywhere and a very 90s old school coffeehouse vibe. Plenty of seating with tables, comfortable chairs and banquet seating if that's more your thing. On a nice day, sit outside as it's absolutely lovely out there, downright magical. Baristas are so nice and they put a lot of effort into crafting your drink. Admittedly, I didn't love my Americano but that had more to do with the type of bean (think a brighter flavor, while I prefer a dark roasted nutty flavor). This wouldn't at all stop me from returning and trying something else, like one of their cute specialty lattes if I'm feeling something on the sweeter side. Stopped in for the first time to try and I love the location! There is a lovely outside patio area with a fountain and several areas to sit, along with a good amount of seating inside. I got the roadrunner latte with oat milk and got it half sweet! It was perfect and so delicious! Good coffee, great vibes, good assortment of pastries, teas and coffee. I had a Dubai pistachio iced latte and it was delicious. Not too sweet with the right amount of coffee, the pistachio wasn't overwhelming. Staff was very friendly, I almost didn't get the latte because I was worried about it being too sweet and they immediately found a staffer who loves it. She suggested I get it "slightly sweet." Excellent little coffee shop right in the heart of Old Town with plenty to see and cats to pet. I wanted to walk around this area for awhile and then get some work done while on a trip to Albuquerque, and found this spot for a pick me up and some free wifi. It's an eclectic and colorful place that just has that vibe of being a gathering spot. I ordered a brown bear iced mocha which had a bit of orange flavor to it and was very enjoyable, it was ready pretty quick and sustained me while I'll plodded through my laptop tasks. The seating inside was comfortable, even the upright seating on the old pew which made it easy to work. Outside in the courtyard, there's plenty of vegetation, though we were well into fall when I visited, so much of it was on the ground. That said, it was pretty in it's own right, and there were a couple cats lazing about or hunting in the brush, both seemingly owned or cared for by other businesses in this square. Loved visiting Blackbird Coffee House. It has a large variety of pastries and drinks, as well as plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. I usually don't like sitting outdoors, but the courtyard was so pretty I couldn't resist. They also have wifi and a bathroom for customers. I got the espresso patronus (butterbeer syrup, espresso, milk) with oat milk from the fall menu. It was a bit on the sweet side but I liked it! My sister got the iced jack-o-latte (pumpkin syrup, pie spice espresso, milk), which was also yummy. They were pretty fast with the drinks, considering there were quite a few customers coming in to order. Also loved the themed decor. Would definitely visit again! read more

Ok so a little skeptical with popcorn coffe aka Jimmy Crack Corn Latte but was persuaded to try it as a fave of those working there. Glad I did, different but the popcorn gave a fun twist to the latte .. if you've had maja blanco(filipino dessert) or any mais type of dessert its great with coffe why not a latte? Had it with oatmeal for us lactose intolerant. Drip coffee was great too. Freshly roasted strong but smooth. Lots of other unique lattes with chili or butter beer. And regular coffees and lattes. This spot is such a gem! Blackbird Coffee is perfectly placed in a plaza with the most colorful and beautiful views all around. The shop itself feels super cozy :) the kind of place where you can relax with a book, catch up with friends, or just enjoy people-watching. I loved it so much that I went back at least six times in one week just to try more of their flavors lol! Each drink was delicious, and you can tell they put a lot of thought into their menu. The service was also consistently great, warm, friendly, and quick, which made each visit even better. I spotted Blackbird Coffee House from across the patio and came back hours later because I couldn't stop thinking about how good it looked - and I'm so glad I did! I needed an afternoon pick me up to help with the summer sun, so I went with an iced americano with cinnamon syrup. Perfect combination and brief oasis. The inside of the shop was comfy with plenty of seating, ice cold water to drink, and nice music. They staff are so helpful and they had fun Halloween decorations and themes set up. Check out the skeleton hand in the iced chai drink! I was looking for a decaf tea option and they recommended one of their seasonal hibiscus teas with ice and oatmilk and I really enjoyed it. Wanted to check out old town Albuquerque before continuing my drive up to Santa Fe and as a coffee affectionado I always try to start my day at a different cafe. This was an awesome spot which drew me in because of the really cool coffee drink combinations. I love when a place takes unique flavors and combines them in non traditional ways, and I honestly wish my body (and wallet) could handle infinite caffeine so I could've tried everything. Blackbird Coffee House is a beautiful and artsy cafe tucked away in one of the Old Town courtyards. I am so glad to have found them, because I love the vibe of the space and the drinks are amazing! I'm a huge fan of their chai latte, also known as their Tumbleweed Latte. It is so flavorful with a perfect blend of sweet and spice. The taste is so unique and different from any other chai I've had before which makes me think they steep their chai in house (as opposed to using a concentrate or powder). I've tried some of their food items, their croissant and burrito, and I'd say they are just average, nothing to write home about, but if this review was based solely on the drinks I'd give them five stars instead of four. I can't believe I waited so long to leave a review . One of my TOP favorite cafes in Albuquerque. Especially since they renovated and expanded. A wonderful place to catch up with a friend or just sit by yourself and read or do work. They added multiple outlets on to the table which I think is so cool. Seating is comfortable, not too crowded. Dark academia vibes I love their roadrunner coffee either with regular milk or oatmilk, hot or iced. I'm usually not a fan of hazelnut but it's a barely there taste. Not too sweet, a nice blend of coffee and flavor. No matter the barista it always come out amazing. My sister got the jackrabbit and was obsessed with it, she was searching for something similar back home once she left. I love the green chili quiche(from le chantilly). It's flavorful and not spicy (I don't have a high spice tolerance). It can be a little pricey 20$ just for me for coffee and food. They also have outdoor seating, just watch for the birds lol I would only say there's a unstable table that drives me bonkers because it moves and I don't want my precious coffee spilling just because I put my arms in the table lol Service has always been friendly and kind. A small quaint gem of a place in Old Town ABQ. We went during the Cookie Crawl and the place was very busy. We were told the wait was going to be at least 10-15 minutes, but definitely waited over 40 minutes as my son and partner left me at the cafe to get more cookies. Nonetheless, the baristas were all very nice and friendly despite being super busy. My son was allowed to take a small lego toy and he was elated! Thank you. We also like their decor of RAVENS - as we're from Baltimore! They have beautiful artwork on their walls as well as their windows. They also provide several outlet towers for those needing to do work while in the cafe. We tried the Iced Road Runner & Strawberry cupcake. The Ice Road Runner was very delicious. Will definitely return for this again. It was well flavored, not too sweet. The cupcake on the other hand was overwhelmingly way too sweet, especially the icing part. I wish I lived here so I could get the cottonwood every day. No joke. It's lighter than a chai latte, and so lovely if you're not feeling coffee. The ambiance is so cool! Great place to connect to free WiFi and answer emails. The blackbird theme is on point. The staff is also super sweet. I came in 5min. before close at 4:30pm, and they encouraged me to order when I asked if it was alright. The team knows their drinks, and can easily steer you in the right direction for your palate. Wonderfully unexpected to find a coffee shop with other kinds of beverages, namely the flavored soda. We got one with prickly pear and other flavored syrups and it was delicious. Advertised as plant based energy - not sure if that's a real thing or just called that to be trendy, but either way it was really good. I was craving a London Fog. Saw the sign for this little place as I drove the Old Town. Took a cold breezy stroll as I watched families come out of church. Made it to the coffee shop. Quaint little place with outdoor seating and indoor seating. Ordered a large LF with oat milk. $7 a little steep but it's local and I'm about supporting local. Cool place though.
