What a great local gem in the north valley. I grew up in the north valley and this has been so many things. Finally the North Valley has a great local coffee house. I was shocked when I walked in by how big it was inside. Tons of tables which by the way were filled up. Lots of happy customers drinking latte's, coffee and teas. Eating a burrito or a pastry. And if you want to bear the cooler temps, there's lots of seats outside too. Loved the atmosphere, the specials, the homemade syrups and the happy smiles behind the counter making coffee and drinks for patrons. Stop by, find a seat and enjoy!
I come here way too often. Haha. I love reading outside and with all the plants on the couch. I L Love the risen area with a the plug options. The music Playlist here is always the best. & I love all the people that work here. I've also attended a few local events here. The plants here make everything that much better, the entire shop is set up well. Sometimes it can be extremely packed but that's because it's really good. One of my favorite things to snack on with my coffee when I'm here is the cifge cake or the prickly pear donut. YUM!
I've been on a quest for a good Oat Milk Latte here and finally, FINALLY found one worthy of my "guy from Seattle" desire for a good one. Just for that alone I love this place. But add their delicious fresh squeezed lemonade and the excellent chill vibe and friendly baristas and I'm in. It has that concrete industrial look, but a large variety of good, comfortable seating, a few quiet nooks and a great patio. In general I've been finding people a thousand times more friendly in ABQ than Seattle(research the Seattle Freeze), but the customers here are really friendly and not afraid to say hi or smile as you walk by. Great place!
OMG I finally got to try this spot! I got a maple donut, rosemary and olive oil bagel with cream cheese, and a hot La Luz latte (vanilla and rosemary). The latte and bagel were incredible! Next time I would skip the donut (even though it was my kids who requested it). Plenty of parking and tons of space to sit inside. I like that there was a couch, super cozy. All of the houseplants inside were beautiful too. Friendly staff too.
I have been wanting to check out this place forever and so their new space was the perfect excuse to stop by. It's really cute in an area that I don't normally go to. They have some good options for standard coffee and tea. I ordered the la Luz latte and I really liked it. It was basically a vanilla Matcha, but the coffee was good. It did look like they had some pastry options, but at 10 AM on a Friday they were pretty much sold out. They do have some toast and other food options though. Staff was fast and friendly. They gave us a number and came out to us with our drinks. I know it's recently opened and pretty popular so they were very packed and seating was limited. Parking was a little tough, but not terrible.
I popped into La Luz at the end of a busy day for a little pick-me-up. They opened their new brick and mortar location recently, and I enjoyed the peaceful building and the friendly staff. I tried an excellent iced Americano and a very tasty pan au chocolate and enjoyed taking a little time to unwind. Definitely taking my husband here on a weekend!
Tried the campo with espresso, that graham cracker rim is off the charts with the toasted marshmallow mmmmmm yes please ! We also got a Norte iced and it was the perfect combo of sweet and caffeine
Such a cute spot! Contemporary vibe! Looked busy. Employees were smiling and ready to suggest the menu and help. Our selections were amazing. I forgot the name but, I believe it was a rosemary latte! So delicious!!!!!
Just another very happy neighbor, excited that La Luz Coffee Co. is up and running. It's the Grand Opening and the line is out the door. Started with their drip coffee today which is strong and delicious.
LOVE this shop. This was my first time in and I will forsure be back! So much space to work both inside and outside, great WiFi and strong coffee. I love that they serve both Sunday Bagels and ihatov breads, Bristol donut co and wild flour! So many great local goodies to choose from! I will most definitely be back. Ok, I need to get out more. The last time I visited La Luz at at their Balloon Fiesta booth. The last time I visited their brick and rotary location was when it was a mobile operation. Wow, how things have changed! When you visit La Luz, be sure you walk in through the front door, it is amazing. IYKYK. The front door sets the stage for coffee and ambiance. Again IYKYK. Interior is great and was filled with a lot of folks catching up on their computers, which is cool. The patio is really what sets this apart from other true New Mexico coffee hot spots. Spacious, good shade structures and spaced well. This will definitely be on my rotation for local coffee shops. read more
Gives anyone the jump start the need in the morning. A great rec if you are in the area or make the jaunt over if you aren't. Bristol donuts, cinnamon roll and croissants . The coffee doesn't fail. I dipped my toes with the daydream spring seasonal...just grab it! read more

Delicious pumpkin spice latte at this new and super cute spot. It's very spacious and perfect for work/homework or co-working. The service was very quick and nice. Can't wait to be back to enjoy the patio and spend more time trying different drinks and yummies. read more

Cutest little coffee stand . It's drive through and walk through. Tastes really good and everyone is super nice. Seasonal drinks available too. They also have donuts and some other foods. Super cute. I'd come here everyday if I could haha. read more

WOW! Delicious coffee!! As an out of towner I was grateful to find a great gourmet cup of coffee early in the morning. They sell a variety of their whole beans to take home. Try the Kenya - bold and delicious! Great atmosphere. Great breakfast treats too! read more

Cute place opening soon. Got a 16oz Chai Latte with Almond milk and Cinnamon! Incredible taste and home like flavor! Great quality! Will stop by again and try another! They offer non dairy options, Hot Chocolate and lemonade as well! They have a cute dog with them as well! They lady at the counter was very nice to me and I felt welcomed! read more

There's a laundry list of traits I inherited from my father that I'm not thrilled about, and one in particular has emerged over the last few years: unnecessary vocal outbursts, generally the kind that bemoan aches and pains. The other day my kid was sincerely concerned about my attempt to change clothes. I've been told that, following workouts, I spend my time in the shower howling at Jesus. Most of the time I'm totally unaware that I'm uttering these noises. People around me simply ask, yo, what hurts, Howie? These incantations aren't limited to pain, though. As the years have ticked by I've found that I also get vocal when I sink my teeth into anything that takes euphoria to another dimension. I write all of this, dear reader, because I straight up moaned aloud when I sank my teeth into two house made donuts from La Luz Coffee. The cinnamon cake was incredible, and that buttery-glazed monster, wow. I'm not blowing this out of proportion, these donuts put calories on my waist and joy in my day. This is such a cool, Covid-perfect coffee and treat stand, also featuring goodies from Rise + Roast and roasts from Slow Burn. Thanks for setting up shop in the north valley, friends. read more

Outdoor coffee stand, easy to grab & go, perfect for this time in Rona. There's a whole range of coffee and espresso options, and the iced vanilla latte is a perfect weekend treat! And they've even got donuts from Rise & Roast, so if you're craving something sweet with your delicious coffee (but aren't able to make it over to the other side of town for those yummy donuts), this is a fun spot to stop by before you cruise over and enjoy the prettiness along Rio Grande. read more
