The flavors rotate each week, so try as many as you can. I was expecting these to be heavy, creamy pastries but was pleasantly surprised by the crossiant-like texture of most of my order. In addition, there is a large amount of vegan options at Witching Flour. Everything was very tasty, and extremely unique; I ended up finishing the box less than an hour after ordering. I was recommended this place by a coworker, and was told to arrive 30 minutes before opening or I'd regret it. I arrived right at opening and was met with a line around the corner. So so good! It's like our own Burque Bakehouse on the NE side! The flavor combos are so delightfully fun and unique, I was impressed with everything we tried! The Witching Flour is located very close to my house and I have absolutely driven by multiple times and been deterred by the line. Even in the winter, they are prone to massive lines. It is important to know that they are only open on the weekends and have a different menu every time. This past weekend I drove by and decided it was nice out and I didn't have anything urgent to do so why not try. They're probably about 15 to 20 people ahead of me in line and I would say I waited about 30 minutes to get through. I tried the guava donut as well as the burnt honey elderflower. I enjoyed both of them, but specifically the burnt honey was spectacular. The breading was so fluffy and perfect. This place is a little expensive, but I cannot stress enough that it is 100% worth every penny. This is one of those cases where you really do get what you pay for. The cruller base is absolutely out of this world and I will attempt to try the new flavor whenever possible. The savory options. Oh. My. God. I've been to The Witching Flour a few times now, and it's one of my recommendations to friends for unique pastries. The Witching Flour is only open on Saturdays and Sundays, so if you want something, make sure to line up before they open at 10am because they sell out pretty quick. Amazing pasteries and donuts! I am so glad we have something like this in Abq. Everything we tried today was its own little adventure. The lemon curd was tart, the merengue creamy with the perfect amount of sweetness. The dough is a little more tangy almost like there is a sourdough mixed in or some technique that I am not sure of. We picked 4 pastries - a brioche donut, vanilla thyme custard twist with blackberries, lemon blueberry meringue and banana boston cream cruffin. All were terrific.
