The Witching Flour is located very close to my house and I have absolutely driven by multiple times and been deterred by the line. Even in the winter, they are prone to massive lines. It is important to know that they are only open on the weekends and have a different menu every time. This past weekend I drove by and decided it was nice out and I didn't have anything urgent to do so why not try. They're probably about 15 to 20 people ahead of me in line and I would say I waited about 30 minutes to get through. I tried the guava donut as well as the burnt honey elderflower. I enjoyed both of them, but specifically the burnt honey was spectacular. The breading was so fluffy and perfect. I don't think I will necessarily be, regular because it was quite the weight, but definitely worth it every once in a while and worth a try.

The line on Sunday morning. Worth the wait. Moves pretty fast.

This place is a little expensive, but I cannot stress enough that it is 100% worth every penny. This is one of those cases where you really do get what you pay for. The cruller base is absolutely out of this world and I will attempt to try the new flavor whenever possible. The savory options. Oh. My. God. Not only is everything I have tried (about 20 items total) been absolutely incredible, but the owner is a delight. Even with lines down the sidewalk she never makes you feel rushed and is always happy to answer questions and seems to care about your thoughts on her creations. Everyone has their bad days, but I haven't come across one of hers yet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside is also so very adorable and unique. 10 extra points for style.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even the boxes are a beautiful hot pink with a fancy liner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Overall: The Witching Flour Bakery is hands down the best bakery in Albuquerque, especially if you are looking for something beyond basics. Bonus points for the sweetest owner/baker. Food: 5 We got a multitude of items including Smoked Chocolate Danish, Chocolate Cinnamon Roll with Raspberry, Eggplant Black Garlic Miso Danish, and Black Sesame Cookies & Cream Donut. Every single item was delicious and clearly made with care. The best part is that the pastries kept well and still tasted great the next day. It didn't feel stale at all, even the danishes kept their crisp. Service: 5 The owner and baker was super nice. She was very humble and seemed truly grateful for all her customers. Ambiance: 4 The bakery has plenty of parking. We got there at opening time and there was already a long line. Luckily, the line is under a roof for rainy days. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the bakery is cute and all her pastries are on display.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I just wish there was a sitting area to enjoy your pastries right away![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've been to The Witching Flour a few times now, and it's one of my recommendations to friends for unique pastries. The Witching Flour is only open on Saturdays and Sundays, so if you want something, make sure to line up before they open at 10am because they sell out pretty quick. The menu switches up every weekend so there's always something new to try. My favorite is the cinnamon roll. It is soft and gooey and just sweet enough that it won't ruin your appetite for breakfast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff is always nice and friendly and they offer dog treats for your furry friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Everything I've tried here has been delicious to amazing. Today I got the brioche donut with a yuzu icing and a small meringue on top. All flavors with this donut are lovingly made- I can taste it! The flavors are so dreamy..

Wow! This spot is amazing. I waited in line for ~25 minutes. If you come just be prepared to wait, it's worth it. Everything looked amazing. The Blood orange prickly pear curd, strawberry compote, torched meringue - danish was SO GOOD. This was my first time visiting, and I'll be back soon. I love how this is locally owned & seems to have such love and care in each pastry.

Not your run of the mill doughnuts. Sweet and savory offerings abound. There's a line out the door for a reason. The staff at the counter is welcoming and efficient. They did not rush us through the choices even though there was a line out the door. These folks craft custom creations that will surprise your tastebuds. Everything is hand made and delicious. Well worth the wait.

Amazing pasteries and donuts! I am so glad we have something like this in Abq. Everything we tried today was its own little adventure. The lemon curd was tart, the merengue creamy with the perfect amount of sweetness. The dough is a little more tangy almost like there is a sourdough mixed in or some technique that I am not sure of. (Update I read the website and it says "yeasted doughs". We really enjoyed our treats. If you are reading this you should definitely try it out. They are open Saturday and Sunday until 2pm and post their menu on their website.

I am Mexican and my family makes some of the same sorts of pastries- these were fantastic! We were lucky to be staying walking distance from Golden Crown Panaderia. No idea it was featured…read moreon Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives until we sat down at our table and saw the episode playing. To start, as we came in, we were offered a biscochito to try while we decided on what to order. Honestly, the decision was hard... so many delicious looking things on the menu but finally decided on a salami and provolone sandwich, with green chile bread. Wow! Amazing sandwich, fresh, delicious! While we were enjoying our food, Pratt Morales, the owner and master baker, came out and talked to us for a while. This was a real treat, great positive attitude and love for what he does. He even introduced us to one of his specialties the Turkey shaped bread he makes for Thanksgiving. So popular now he gets hundreds of orders per year. We left with some biscochitos and other cookies to go, and a desire to try more things when we are back in Albuquerque.
