I stopped by this location last month in search of a suit for a medical conference. I don't dress up to go shopping as a general rule- and I'm not one for flashy brands or wealth signaling, which I think is tacky. Unfortunately, as a result of being relatively dressed down in lululemon and sneakers, I was essentially dismissed by the saleswoman. I don't need hand holding to shop, but I dislike feeling rejected and unwelcome, so decided to take my business elsewhere. Would avoid this place. read more

I visited St John's as a long time customer to take advantage of great 80% off sale. Not one person greeted me when I entered store, standard practice down on Cabazon, nor offered to assist me as I looked at merchandise. Coming back from a conference where I had worn two St John dresses, I had wanted to add to my wardrobe at reduced prices. Some sales woman kept yelling Eric while helping other ladies and tried on clothes were being put back. Felt like I was either profiled as no -spender or invisible, so I spent my dollars elsewhere. You would automatically assume that the people who shop at St John would be a bit snooty because it's the crowd that can pay for that pricey merchandise, but man oh man, it's the woman who works there that has the snooty attitude. You better be dressed to the nines when you walk in to the store. That woman would look you over with disdain if you walked in with just jeans and sneakers on. Guess they just assume that you wouldn't be able to afford any of their clothes. Nice pieces of clothing, pitiful customer service rep. You'd be better off shopping directly from the SJK website. read more

Always hood services, even though I look like I got out of the gym each time I was here ;) somehow the ladies there always helped me to find the pieces I wanted. Beautiful clothes and a great selection at this store. The sales associates are super friendly and helpful if you need a size they don't have. They will always check in back for you and then look on the computer to see if another store has it. I can't afford to come here often but they do offer savings up to 75% off the retail prices of their clothing. Their pieces are beautifully taken care of and reflect well on the brand. The sales associates are also more than happy to block the knit blazers for you if they are feeling a bit snug. They have a steamer in back as well in case you need something steamed to go. It is nice to see a team that works well together and enjoys what they do and the items they sell. The store is located on the end of the outlet mall near the Neiman Marcus Last Call. Drop by even if it's just to admire the sparkly pieces inside. read more

LOVE this store. On my 1st visit I was greeted two separate times by Maggie and the store manager. The ambiance is calm and peaceful. Found some fabulous pieces as soon as I walked in and they started a room right away and offered champagne while I shopped. I've always admired St John but felt the designer catered to a more mature woman. But after really shopping the collections, it's about how you put pieces together (and the right shoes). St John has a timeless classic look of a lady. I'm talking Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly. Who doesn't want to look classy at any age. Yes they do sell knit pants but its not polyester! It's a very fine woven wool or wool blend. And there's nothing "geriatric" about a well fitted knit dress or pencil skirt. St John also carries beautiful silk pieces that add a pop of color and complement your knit outfit. Once you've become a customer, you are well taken care of. When I come in, I'm always offered wine or a refreshment. I've received a thank you note from Maggie and she continues to check in with me via text to see how I'm enjoying my outfits. She also emails me links where I can view their upcoming line and keeps me posted on future sales. Again, love this store. read more

They do carry what seems to be the genuine article...but oh man...in retail there are currently some more modern styles...this store has only the seriously geriatric stuff. A no go in my book...at any price! read more

Unfortunately my first impression of the store wasn't a positive one, and sadly even my friend had a poor experience. There was no greeting by the staff, no service, and while I was trying on a dress suit my friend received unkind looks from the staff. My mother loved St. John and we received (I receive) better customer service in the department store (and the St. John Boutique in Scottsdale). Just because I'm wearing sneakers doesn't mean I can't afford the clothing- half of my wardrobe is St. John. My friend made the comment after we exited, that it felt a little like "Pretty Woman"- we weren't dressed inappropriately (jeans, blouse, cardigan) but the staff reacted almost in the same manner as those on Rodeo Drive reacted to Julia Roberts. I will visit again, just to see if they had an "off day" but very low expectation. read more

This review is solely based on my experience yesterday (Mother's Day 5/12/2019). The other half dozen visits were wonderful. Yesterday, about 10 minutes prior to closing at 7pm, my family of 6 and I walked into St John. No one greeted nor acknowledged us. Shortly after, when we were in the back of the store, 2 ladies came in and started browsing. When this duo came in, one of the sales associates (short, not too skinny, frizzy long, orange/light blonde hair, tanned, very raspy/hoarse voice) said "You all know that we are closing in 7 minutes!" We all were shocked. One of the dup of ladies that came in said "okay good for you" I responded to the sales associate asking "should we just leave right now then and not buy anything?" She yelled "WELL WE WANT TO GO HOME TOO!" Upon her saying that, I gathered my belongings and walked to the front of the store when my Father and Husband were (my Mother and Sister were in the back making their way to the front). I told them, "We have to leave right now because this lady wants to close to go home so we cannot stay in here to shop" There was some confusion and the associate started to make more excuses. I had never in my life experienced such rudeness and crassness from a high end retailer. She not only attempted to kick 8 shoppers out of the store, 7 minutes prior to closing, she also made it clear that she did not care to stay to complete her shift for the day. Extremely tactless, hostile and disrespectful. I can't imagine every letting my person feelings ("we want to go home too!") get in the way of providing quality customer service. The other sales associate had a shocked look on her face and was just silently glaring at the rude sales associate. Not sure if they work on commission here bit she did loose out on a large sale and we definitely won't stop into the store again if we see her there. Horrible and distasteful woman and obvious that she SHOULD NOT be in the retail sales industry. read more

Jaqueline was very professional and friendly. There was another lady who was tall with short, dark hair and was also very friendly and helpful. I agree that St. John's design steer more toward the older market and in retail, you will find more modern styles. I always love their knit and quality and have to look at their more modern styles because yes, the cut and style was too conservative. At the outlet, you would expect to have similar inventory and of course less modern styles but they are present. Yes, You do need to spend some time searching for the more modern styles while getting the nice outlet sale price. Customer service - 5 (thanks Jacqueline) Inventory - 3 for the many conservative styles (but that is ok for the market that you are aiming for) Quality - 5 I would return to this store :) read more

Came here to buy an outfit for mom. As soon as we walked into the store, sales associate looked at us without saying hi or some type of greeting and looked away. Simple hello would of made the shopping more pleasant. That type of attitude really makes customers want to shop here or not. That was pretty much the attitude of all the workers there... They had almost zero selection on petite sizes, actually not much selection overall in the entire store. Too bad they closed the store at the Great Mall, sales associates were much more pleasant to shop with and had better slections then. I was initially ignored by an Asian lady and she looked me in the eye and immediately went to assist someone else. I was offended and suddenly Jennifer (store manager) observed what happened and ask to help me. Store manager was leaving for the evening with coat on and handbag read to leave. Jennifer was so nice and assisted me when I was so ready to leave this store. I was in search for a formal gown and a friend suggested I look at St. John clearance rack. Jennifer took good care of me and I was very happy. Not sure if they are on commission, but Asian lady missed out on my store purchase. read more

Went into the St. John store over the weekrnd. The girls in the store could not be more helpful. I was going back and forth on 1 item so they held it for me while I shopped around. Agree that most of the styles are for older woman, but there are a few staples in there that won't ever go out of style. Give the sales ladies 5 stars. I adore this store. The sales associates could not be more helpful..I was blessed to have Sarah....who went out of her way to accommodate my various choices in sizes. She gave her honest opinion whether she had the other size in stock or not. I left with three outfits and know that I will look like a million dollars in each one. I read some of the other reviews and they said the store had clothes that were too conservative and "geriatic". If you are looking for trendy, this is not your store. If you are looking for class and distinction and fabrics that will last forever, this is your store. I have St. John knits that I bought over 20 years ago, and each time I wear them I get many compliments. If definitely depends on whether you want to be 'flash in the pan trendy' or a 'standout classic'. Neither one is right or wrong....for me this store is 5 stars out of 5! read more

I got just what I wanted a matching 3 piece Santana knit suit, a dress, jacket and shell .At first I felt ignored because no one even spoke to me but then a young lady came from the back and started a fitting room for me got my size and style choices and has been in contact with me ever since. Went in not expecting much. Yes, the styles are for mature people but you can find some great jackets with a modern twist. I was looking at the sales rack and this lovely Asian women showed me this black jacket that was very modern. I tried it on and it fit great and was on sale! I kept telling her I cannot believe the price. I wanted to buy more colors but they were out of my size. It was a great bargain. It was about 80 or 90% off retail. Next time I am in the area I will make sure to drop by. read more
