I chose Wellgroomed for my wedding outfit and they created my custom, dream lengha for my outdoor Sikh ceremony in July 2021 (anand karaj). I also got my custom choora/kaliyre from Preet - The Lost Bangle to match my outfit. Sarah and Preet are amazing people to work with. From the moment I had my first appointment in November 2020 to June when I got my outfit, they were always kind, professional, and positive. This is also one of the main reasons I chose Wellgroomed vs other stores. With all the unknowns of covid during this time period, they always did their best to answer any questions or concerns I had and always squeezed me in for the appointments I requested. I'm so thankful for them and also the team in India for all their hard work on the beautiful outfits they hand-make. They even made a beautiful 2nd dupatta to complete my outfit when I changed my mind a few months before the wedding. Sarah helped my vision come to life. I always wanted a peachy colored lengha, especially since my wedding was in the summer. Sarah ordered custom swatches for me and I was able to choose the perfect shade for my skin tone. I also wanted a train with scalloped edging around the border as well as on the dupatta. All of the little details were done perfectly and I appreciate all of her time spent making sure it came out how I wanted. Once my outfit was complete, Preet put together the most beautiful and unique custom set of Choora and kaliyre that were hand-painted and gold-plated. I didn't want a traditional look for the choora/kaliyre. My jaw dropped when I saw how nicely it tied my whole look together. I love her eye for jewelry. She also helped me find jewelry on the DAY of my sangeet and seriously saved the day. It turned out amazing and was one of my favorite looks for the week. Sorry for the essay: all in all, above and beyond! Amazing, professional, kind, positive, TALENTED women who will help you feel perfect on your big day! read more

During my wedding, my family had a great deal struggling to find someone during COVID who would design/customize my wedding outfit. We came across Wellgroomed during our search and immediately decided to go with them. Sarah did an amazing just making this whole process smooth and stress free. I wasn't really sure which direction I wanted to go in in terms of design and Sarah was super helpful. My mom and I really trusted Sarah as she gave honest feedback with incorporating our vision in mind for my wedding outfit. We truly loved working with Sarah and knew we had nothing to worry about in regards to what my outfit would look like. When it arrived, my mom and I were in awe at how beautiful it was. It was so surreal to see how she brought our vision to real life. I received so many compliments on our wedding day and could not get over how stunning my outfit turned out. When my outfit arrived, it was a little loose due to me losing weight from my original measurements. However, they sent me to a great tailor who fixed everything perfectly and how I wanted it since we were in a time crunch. Preet did an amazing job helping me and designing my wedding jewelry. I bought my jewelry separate prior to my outfit arriving and Preet was very helpful at making sure my jewelry would match my look and outfit. Everything was stunning and tied so well together with the outfit. My jewelry wasn't too heavy either and was very comfortable. Overall, I was very impressed with how everything turned out. Sarah and Preet were amazing. I would highly recommend them to all future brides if you are looking for a smooth, stress free experience with your wedding shopping. read more

Absolutely horrible service. I made an appointment one month ahead and when it came to my appointment day, we saw that the store was closed. I called the store number since the door was locked. A lady picked up stating she wasn't able to make it. I understand emergencies happen, but it's common curiously to loop in your customer in. We were traveling all the way from Sacramento (1+ hour drive), only to be to told that the appointment was technically forgotten about. Extremely unprofessional and portraying a bad image. read more

Due to unforeseen circumstances, my husband and I walked into Wellgroomed a month before our wedding in need of a lehenga and sherwani. Obviously we were panicked, and Sarah was SO helpful and so patient in answering all our questions around design, fabric, wedding traditions and overall style of our clothes. She literally spent HOURS with us helping us find outfits that made us feel good and would go with the wedding colors. Most couples approach Wellgroomed 1 year- 6 months in advance to have their custom clothing made. We didn't have this choice but were lucky enough to stumble upon Wellgroomed's sample sale where they were unloading old inventory. I ended up finding a perfect dress at very good price considering how intricate the beading was and my husband found a lovely matching sherwani. Wellgroomed provided the the name of an excellent tailor who literally worked magic to make my lehenga fit perfectly. The overall quality of the dress was truly excellent and our guests were astounded by how beautiful we looked. Thank you to Wellgroomed and specifically Sarah for your all your help! It would not have been possible to have such a gorgeous Indian ceremony without your guidance! read more

My family and I have bought jewelry from The Lost Bangle previously, so when I went to Wellgroomed to look solely at The Lost Bangle jewelry they housed, I became curious about what they could offer with my wedding outfits. I walked in with a vision on my and my husband's wedding outfits, and Sarah at Wellgroomed worked closely with us to ensure we loved every detail. They took into account the little things such as adding length to my top because I mentioned I hated when lengha tops expose my midriff, and breathable lining in my husband's outfit since he was more of a comfort-over-looks kind of guy. For my reception gown, I just had an idea of what I wanted, and no real reference photos aside from just photos of black American gowns and a floral pattern I found beautiful. Using that and some amazing guiding questions, the staff at Wellgroomed was able to piece together a sketch, and then a floral design. Every step of the way, I was consulted and would give the green light for moving forward with each step. And just like for my wedding outfit, there was attention to the little details like my request for pockets (you read that right; my gown had pockets!!) and desire for sleeves that ended right where my churra set began. My jewelry for all my events was The Lost Bangle. Like I mentioned, I've bought a set from Preet for wedding I was a guest at, and I loved the unique design and durability of the set so much that I knew I wanted TLB for my wedding sets. My wedding sets were so gorgeous, my mom and sister ended up purchasing all their jewelry from TLB too! My favorite part is the uniqueness of the sets and how versatile they are. I've mixed and matched earrings with a necklace from another set, and even worn some of the simpler pieces to non-Indian events. Overall, I truly recommend checking out Wellgroomed and The Lost Bangle. I still obsess over the timeless pieces they carry, and I'm sure you'll fall in love with them (and the ladies who work there) too! read more

Hi Sarah- Where do I begin?! This review is so long over due, but let me start off by saying- You are the BEST Sarah! Thank you so much for putting your 1000% (not 100, but 1000%) into my whole wedding outfits. Sarah-- your eye to details is out of this world and you are so wonderful to work with. I'm the most pickiest person in this world and when I came to you with some of my visions-- BOOM magic happened. Thank you for answering all my questions in a timely manner and getting back to me so quickly. Gurpreet-- thank you for being on top of everything. You have such amazing ideas for outfits (what stones I should use, what style would look good and etc) and I'm so glad I took your advise on my outfits. You are amazing to work with and I love you for that. Ladies- From my photoshoot outfit (forever my favorite), to my wedding and reception outfit- you nailed it! All the details were exactly, if not better than what I wanted. Thank you for putting so much effort into my fairytale and making the most important day of my life the best memory ever. I can't wait to work with you over and over again in the future. Well- it just happens that I need 2-3 additional outfits, can't wait to team up again. read more

I went in looking for a sherwani after visiting multiple traditional Indian clothing stores in the bay. I thought I wasn't going to find what I needed in the bay area, and was considering ordering directly from India (which is a pain). Thankfully they had a great collection, and Karen was able to find me exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend Well Groomed, specifically Karen, for quick and knowledgeable service. read more

Wellgroomed helped me create two completely different looks for my June 2018 wedding ceremony and reception. I can go on and on about how much I loved my outfits and the endless compliments I received. I've followed WellGroomed for years and when the time came to purchase my wedding outfits, I knew where I wanted to go. I scheduled an appointment with Sara at the Fremont location, I showed her inspiration pictures of what I wanted, she had me try on outfits and I was able to select my wedding and reception outfit that day. What I appreciate about working with Well Groomed is that Sara listened to every detail and took notes of what I wanted. We discussed the process, the material, embroidery, fit, timing etc. I was nervous about the timing because my wedding was five months away and Sara ensured me not to worry. She kept me in the loop, sending me picture updates as my outfits were being made. My wedding outfits were delivered ahead of schedule and turned out even better than I could've imagined. Well Groomed created my customized wedding outfit exactly as I had envisioned. When my Anarkali arrived, it was even more beautiful than I had ever imagined. The shade of red was exactly what I saw myself wearing on my wedding day. Both outfits fit like a glove and I loved every moment I spent in my outfits. The craftsmanship and attention to detail, as well as the quality of material was of the highest class. I can't thank Sara and her team enough, they gave me my "say yes to the dress" moment and my experience at their store was truly amazing. As a side note, all of the Well Groomed locations operate independently. I did go to Surrey and the customer experience was completely opposite. read more

When it comes to finding the right one for your big day or any typical Indian event, it's overwhelming. The first thing many of us think will lean towards is going to India for all the shopping, which is quite the work! Well Groomed definitely takes that away, they basically do all the work for you, you just tell them exactly what you need and that is what they will put forward. You can chose outfits off the rack and you can also get it CUSTOMIZED!!! Personally love that because I can definently get creative with my outfits! You can go in the store and get help from Sarah and Karen, both are amazing, super sweet, nice, and extremely helpful. They love being able to find the perfect one for all of their clients, and they build amazing relationships with their clients as well. Make sure you check out Well groomed for all your bridal and non bridal needs, you will not regret it! read more

My fiancé and I were really excited to visit well groomed for our bridal outfits. Unfortunately our expectations were not met. When we initially visited we were treated very poorly and we felt like they did not take us seriously. The outfits were so overrated and you can find similar outfits for a fraction of the cost. My fiancé was very interested in the jewellery and hence we decided to order some, once again our expectations were not met and the jewellery came broken. When we visited once AGAIN in store to sort this out, the staff there were completely unaware of the situation and no one was ready to help us. How is it fair that we purchase from a reputable business and are treated so unprofessionally! I'm sure other locations offer much better service as this location was nothing but unprofessional. I highly suggest any future couples to not visit this location if you want to be taken seriously and you want to save yourself the stress from wedding shopping! This lady is the owner of the jewellery that is available in store at well groomed, so I'm assuming they're leaving each other reviews to beat the system??!! So unprofessional!!! read more

Seriously, do NOT listen to these bad reviews because you are going to miss out on something amazing. I am shocked that some mentioned bad customer service whereas from the first day I connected with Wellgroomed everyone has been so helpful and patient. I was looking for a nikkah and reception outfit and I had specific looks in mind. I couldn't find the dresses I wanted anywhere and started looking for places that customized outfits. A friend recommended that I look at Wellgroomed and through their Instagram account I was amazed at their work. Only bummer was, I am from LA and the store was in Fremont. But I still reached out through email to see what my options were and in less than 24 hours I got a response. I connected with Sarah and she asked that I send pics of designs I had in mind. Within 2 days we were on the phone discussing the possibilities. Just from our interaction and how detailed she was I decided to make the trip up to Fremont. Our first meeting was in April 2016. We got to the store and Sarah was all ready to go with the pics I sent her and ideas in mind. We brainstormed for about an hour and a half and Sarah was very knowledgable about different materials, beadwork, embroidery and colors. We decided to move forward with Wellgroomed and was informed that the outfits would be done by November 2016. From April - November Sarah was constantly updating me on my dresses and what stages they were in. She even sent me pictures of the embroidery and fabrics so I knew what to expect. When November came, I received an email that my outfits had shipped! However, I did not pick them up until December because it takes some coordinating to choose a weekend to drive from LA to Fremont =) We were cutting it really close because my wedding was January 2017 and we weren't sure how the outfits would fit. If they needed to be altered (which was free of charge) it would take sometime. We left LA super early in the morning and would be at the store before it opened. However, Sarah gave me her number to text her and let her know when we were close by so she could go and open the store early for us. Seriously, how is that bad customer service?? Turns out the dresses fit perfectly and no alterations were needed =) I received 2 perfect outfits and couldn't be happier with the results!!! read more

My Wife has to be the most pickiest person ever and when it came to our wedding outfits she wanted everything to be perfect. However, there was one thing she was 100% sure about, she wanted her custom outfits made by Wellgroomed. She was watching wellgroomed work on IG for sometime and loved the details on all the outfits they made/ posted. First time we went to wellgroomed, Gurpreet welcomed us in and right away we knew this vendor was it. Sarah came out shortly after and we got into the details about our outfits. After spending an hour with them both, we made a second appointment to come in to go into much deeper details and to pay the deposits. Mind you, not once were we pressured to buy anything or make up our minds at the spot. Both Sarah and gurpreet were so passionate and very professional, this is not your typical indian boutique. You guys are dealing with professionals, who have been in business for 10+ years. This is not your average boutique who recently started making bridal clothings, you are definitely getting into the water with good people you can trust 100%. My wife completely took over the details of my outfit and wellgroomed made the piece even better than we hoped. We got a total of 4 outfits from them, Sarah gave us great deal. You are not paying an arm and a leg here, pricing is very affordable and they work with any budget. All our outfits were great and my wife loved each and everyone of them. We now have a great relationship with Sarah and Gurpreet, we went from being clients to family. Lastly, the store is beautiful, they re-stock the store with new pieces every season, so you are not looking at the same/ boring pieces from a year ago. The store is clean and the set-up is wonderful. Thank you Sarah for making me and my wife the happiest at our wedding, keep up the good work. Best, MC Chahal read more

One of the nicer desi clothing shops in NorCal. Most outfits are overpriced. The customer service needs improvement. Every person that walks through the doors is a potential customer and should be treated as such. Also, if the shop hours are subject to change, it should be clearly indicated. I was told that I could not try anything on because they (the owners I am assuming) were getting ready to leave for a wedding. There was still an hour left before the shop closed. Advice: clearly display any changes to store hours for customers rather than allowing them to walk around and then informing them that there is not enough time to try anything on because you are closing up shop early for personal reasons. read more

Being in the Bay Area, our shopping options are quite limited when it comes to Indian Bridal wear. Typical options are either to go to Surrey, B.C., Artesia, California, or the motherland India - until I saw that WellGroomed was opening in Fremont. I've followed WellGroomed for some time now and love the customization aspect to their work. I went to this store, not knowing what to expect and met Sarah, who runs the store, and her assistant Raman. From the get-go, Sarah has been responsive, answers all of my questions and provides me with suggestions. Settling on your wedding outfits are a HUGE deal in my opinion, and to work with professional Indian vendors is such a huge deal. What I truly appreciated about working with WellGroomed and Sarah that I felt was a huge differentiator from other Indian tailors or shops that do custom work, is that she listened to every detail and took notice of everything I stated, and then we would discuss the process, the material, embroidery, fit, etc. instead of the usual response of "Yes, we can do that" without truly understanding what I was looking for from some other vendors. I'm hoping my outfits turn out as I want once I receive them, but so far customer service-wise I am pleased! I would highly recommend coming in and checking out their boutique which has many different options for various events. read more

I got the opportunity to collaborate with Wellgroomed for a recent photoshoot! I've always been a huge fan and a follower on Ig for years. Here is a quick breakdown. Outfits: 5 stars! You definitely will get what you paid for. The quality is unbeatable. Even if you are purchasing a readymade outfit, it's in great quality. Not to forget they even CUSTOMIZE! Service: 5 stars! I got to talk to Kulpreet over the phone and met Sarah at the store. Such loving and helpful girls. They definitely make your Wellgroomed experience amazing. Location: 5 stars! Often times Indian stores are in crowded places. What I love is this location is right off the freeway and there's plenty of parking! Added bonus: you can make a one on one appointment so your attention is not divided :) read more

I had no time to go to India, and found WG through Instagram. I did some research and booked a consultation with Sarah. Sarah and Dave really brought the visions that I had for my ceremony and reception outfits to life! Sarah was so helpful throughout the entire process. I had told her that I was concerned that my outfits would not arrive on time, so she made sure that the design process went smoothly. Once my outfits arrived, I had minor alterations that needed to be done; WG took care of those alterations and had everything ready for me well before my wedding! My outfits were not traditional, and WG did a fantastic job! After the wedding, I've had multiple people ask me about my outfits and where I got them from! Sarah and Dave really pay attention to detail, keep their client's concerns in mind, and offer helpful feedback to satisfy their customers. Every time I went in, Sarah was always welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend WG to all brides who are looking for quality clothing and excellent customer service. read more

I came to The Lost Bangle for my wedding jewelry and I can't say enough good things! The entire experience was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Preet was the best vendor I worked with throughout my entire wedding process. She's is so attentive and works tirelessly to bring your exact vision to life. Whether is was custom ordering and entire set or changing something small like beads on my kalirey, she puts so much attention to detail in every piece of jewlery (she even changed the fabric on my husbands kirpan herself because she felt the color wasn't perfect). Not to mention this was all during COVID and she still made sure every piece I ordered arrived in more than enough time. Because of Preet, we ordered not just all of my wedding jewlery but we also ordered my husbands, mom, sister, sister in law and mother in laws jewelry and sure enough, Preet put the same amount of attention to detail into everyones jewlery. Because of Preet my family and I are coming back to do my sisters wedding shopping not only for jewlery but clothing as well! After reading reviews online I was hesitant at first to shop at well groomed for my engagement outfit. But I am happy to say all four of my visits with wellgroomed have been a pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly and interactive. Sarah and I custom made my engagement outfit together. She listened to exactly what i wanted and added her expert option into my design. Upon my first fitting I realized I wanted the top to be more sheer than it was, but I didn't say anything as it was still beautiful. So I took the piece home and realized it was worth a shot to ask why it wasn't as sheer as I wanted it. Sarah explained that the piece was too heavily embroidered and could not be any more sheer. I understood that because it was true. Nonetheless Sarah calls me a few days later telling me the tailor said it is possible to make it a little more sheer. The point of the story is that Sarah really didn't have to go the extra mile but she chose to. You can really tell she strives to make her clients happy at any cost. Wellgroomed was very timely, and they allowed me a few weeks to factor in tailoring before my big event. I highly recommend working with this team. Every time I share my wellgroomed experience with friends and family, they get happy knowing I was in good hands. Jasneet read more

Even the lady who took my measurements did a great job. My clothes arrived a few weeks before the time frame they gave me which was awesome. I'll definitely come here again in the near future. The customer service here is horrible. They don't point out any outfits for you, you just look through yourself. And they don't help you try on the outfits either. They don't show any type of excitement or enthusiasm. I feel like the staff is just not excited about their design pieces. They show lack of knowledge of their stones and embroidery. They don't suggest any other styles for you besides the one you chose to try on. It's like you're trying something on and they're in their own world, not paying attention at all. And when I was in there it was me and one other customer, they weren't helping both of us. And their attitude is like if you want to buy it, buy it, if not you can leave. If they just changed the staff, I think it would be fine cus they're clothes are pretty decent. This is probably the first Indian clothing store where I didn't get any type of help. Their Instagram page makes you think they're helpful, they give suggestions but that is a lie, false advertisement!!! My number 1 thing about buying something so overly priced is to have good customer service cus I am not going to represent your work if you don't value your customers! And there are soo many Indian clothing stores that do custom design pieces. And they are so nice about it as well and really know their stuff. I was just here browsing for my wedding outfit but I am so going back to the place where I always get my outfits bc they personally know me! One of the employees I recognized from the well groomed website she recently got married. But not once did she bring up how she chose her outfits and the route she took to help me or anyone decide for their big day. I asked her too about her wedding outfits but she just said she got them from here and that's it. It's like she used the employee discount to buy her outfits and then as a sales person, you're not even trying to sell anything. Half the time she was just standing there and didn't even talk. And even if I was there on a sale day that's an opportunity to meet new potential clients and to show them what else you have to offer besides the clothing on sale that have been sitting there for awhile. Well groomed please train your staff cus I'm sure Instragram is not the only thing that's going to keep this place running. For those who have given good reviews are probably bc they spent 5k each on their outfits and want you to be suckered that way. I hope that their Canada store's staff is nicer and more knowledgeable than the Fremont location. Or anyone can just buy a plane ticket to India if you're going to spend that much. read more

Definitely would not recommend Well Groomed to anyone. Customer service is horrible. Their body language just makes you not want to deal with them. Their dates are off and even tough everything is "customized" to you they still try to manipulate you to what they think is easier. For the amount of money I paid it definitely did not get the quality or service. Guys it's much cheaper to fly to India and do your shopping. This place is a total rip off and they just say what you want to hear to gain your money. Heck she would not even let me use her phone charger but when it came to pay and I had to transfer funds she was quick to let me use it. They never reached out to me or kept me in the loops it was always "almost ready to ship." read more

I have heard nothing but great things about well groomed so I was beyond disappointed when I went there two weekends ago.
