I also got my custom choora/kaliyre from Preet - The Lost Bangle to match my outfit. Sarah and Preet are amazing people to work with. From the moment I had my first appointment in November 2020 to June when I got my outfit, they were always kind, professional, and positive. With all the unknowns of covid during this time period, they always did their best to answer any questions or concerns I had and always squeezed me in for the appointments I requested. I'm so thankful for them and also the team in India for all their hard work on the beautiful outfits they hand-make. They even made a beautiful 2nd dupatta to complete my outfit when I changed my mind a few months before the wedding. Sarah helped my vision come to life. I always wanted a peachy colored lengha, especially since my wedding was in the summer. Sarah ordered custom swatches for me and I was able to choose the perfect shade for my skin tone. I also wanted a train with scalloped edging around the border as well as on the dupatta. All of the little details were done perfectly and I appreciate all of her time spent making sure it came out how I wanted. Once my outfit was complete, Preet put together the most beautiful and unique custom set of Choora and kaliyre that were hand-painted and gold-plated. I didn't want a traditional look for the choora/kaliyre. My jaw dropped when I saw how nicely it tied my whole look together. I love her eye for jewelry. She also helped me find jewelry on the DAY of my sangeet and seriously saved the day. It turned out amazing and was one of my favorite looks for the week. During my wedding, my family had a great deal struggling to find someone during COVID who would design/customize my wedding outfit. Absolutely horrible service. I made an appointment one month ahead and when it came to my appointment day, we saw that the store was closed. I called the store number since the door was locked. A lady picked up stating she wasn't able to make it. I understand emergencies happen, but it's common curiously to loop in your customer in. Due to unforeseen circumstances, my husband and I walked into Wellgroomed a month before our wedding in need of a lehenga and sherwani. Obviously we were panicked, and Sarah was SO helpful and so patient in answering all our questions around design, fabric, wedding traditions and overall style of our clothes. My family and I have bought jewelry from The Lost Bangle previously, so when I went to Wellgroomed to look solely at The Lost Bangle jewelry they housed, I became curious about what they could offer with my wedding outfits. I walked in with a vision on my and my husband's wedding outfits, and Sarah at Wellgroomed worked closely with us to ensure we loved every detail. They took into account the little things such as adding length to my top because I mentioned I hated when lengha tops expose my midriff, and breathable lining in my husband's outfit since he was more of a comfort-over-looks kind of guy. For my reception gown, I just had an idea of what I wanted, and no real reference photos aside from just photos of black American gowns and a floral pattern I found beautiful. Using that and some amazing guiding questions, the staff at Wellgroomed was able to piece together a sketch, and then a floral design. Every step of the way, I was consulted and would give the green light for moving forward with each step. And just like for my wedding outfit, there was attention to the little details like my request for pockets (you read that right; my gown had pockets!!) and desire for sleeves that ended right where my churra set began. My jewelry for all my events was The Lost Bangle. Like I mentioned, I've bought a set from Preet for wedding I was a guest at, and I loved the unique design and durability of the set so much that I knew I wanted TLB for my wedding sets. My wedding sets were so gorgeous, my mom and sister ended up purchasing all their jewelry from TLB too! My favorite part is the uniqueness of the sets and how versatile they are. I've mixed and matched earrings with a necklace from another set, and even worn some of the simpler pieces to non-Indian events. My fiancé and I were really excited to visit well groomed for our bridal outfits. Unfortunately our expectations were not met. When we initially visited we were treated very poorly and we felt like they did not take us seriously. The outfits were so overrated and you can find similar outfits for a fraction of the cost. My fiancé was very interested in the jewellery and hence we decided to order some, once again our expectations were not met and the jewellery came broken. When we visited once AGAIN in store to sort this out, the staff there were completely unaware of the situation and no one was ready to help us. Seriously, do NOT listen to these bad reviews because you are going to miss out on something amazing. I am shocked that some mentioned bad customer service whereas from the first day I connected with Wellgroomed everyone has been so helpful and patient. I was looking for a nikkah and reception outfit and I had specific looks in mind. I couldn't find the dresses I wanted anywhere and started looking for places that customized outfits. A friend recommended that I look at Wellgroomed and through their Instagram account I was amazed at their work. Only bummer was, I am from LA and the store was in Fremont. But I still reached out through email to see what my options were and in less than 24 hours I got a response. I connected with Sarah and she asked that I send pics of designs I had in mind. Within 2 days we were on the phone discussing the possibilities. Just from our interaction and how detailed she was I decided to make the trip up to Fremont. Our first meeting was in April 2016. We got to the store and Sarah was all ready to go with the pics I sent her and ideas in mind. We brainstormed for about an hour and a half and Sarah was very knowledgable about different materials, beadwork, embroidery and colors. We decided to move forward with Wellgroomed and was informed that the outfits would be done by November 2016. From April - November Sarah was constantly updating me on my dresses and what stages they were in. She even sent me pictures of the embroidery and fabrics so I knew what to expect. When November came, I received an email that my outfits had shipped! However, I did not pick them up until December because it takes some coordinating to choose a weekend to drive from LA to Fremont =) We were cutting it really close because my wedding was January 2017 and we weren't sure how the outfits would fit. If they needed to be altered (which was free of charge) it would take sometime. We left LA super early in the morning and would be at the store before it opened. However, Sarah gave me her number to text her and let her know when we were close by so she could go and open the store early for us. Seriously, how is that bad customer service?? Every person that walks through the doors is a potential customer and should be treated as such. Also, if the shop hours are subject to change, it should be clearly indicated. I was told that I could not try anything on because they (the owners I am assuming) were getting ready to leave for a wedding. There was still an hour left before the shop closed. Being in the Bay Area, our shopping options are quite limited when it comes to Indian Bridal wear. Typical options are either to go to Surrey, B.C., Artesia, California, or the motherland India - until I saw that WellGroomed was opening in Fremont. I've followed WellGroomed for some time now and love the customization aspect to their work. I went to this store, not knowing what to expect and met Sarah, who runs the store, and her assistant Raman. From the get-go, Sarah has been responsive, answers all of my questions and provides me with suggestions. Settling on your wedding outfits are a HUGE deal in my opinion, and to work with professional Indian vendors is such a huge deal. What I truly appreciated about working with WellGroomed and Sarah that I felt was a huge differentiator from other Indian tailors or shops that do custom work, is that she listened to every detail and took notice of everything I stated, and then we would discuss the process, the material, embroidery, fit, etc. instead of the usual response of "Yes, we can do that" without truly understanding what I was looking for from some other vendors. After reading reviews online I was hesitant at first to shop at well groomed for my engagement outfit. But I am happy to say all four of my visits with wellgroomed have been a pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly and interactive. Sarah and I custom made my engagement outfit together. She listened to exactly what i wanted and added her expert option into my design. Upon my first fitting I realized I wanted the top to be more sheer than it was, but I didn't say anything as it was still beautiful. So I took the piece home and realized it was worth a shot to ask why it wasn't as sheer as I wanted it. Sarah explained that the piece was too heavily embroidered and could not be any more sheer. I understood that because it was true. Nonetheless Sarah calls me a few days later telling me the tailor said it is possible to make it a little more sheer. The point of the story is that Sarah really didn't have to go the extra mile but she chose to. You can really tell she strives to make her clients happy at any cost. The customer service here is horrible. They don't point out any outfits for you, you just look through yourself. And they don't help you try on the outfits either. They don't show any type of excitement or enthusiasm. I feel like the staff is just not excited about their design pieces. They show lack of knowledge of their stones and embroidery. They don't suggest any other styles for you besides the one you chose to try on. It's like you're trying something on and they're in their own world, not paying attention at all. And when I was in there it was me and one other customer, they weren't helping both of us. And their attitude is like if you want to buy it, buy it, if not you can leave. If they just changed the staff, I think it would be fine cus they're clothes are pretty decent. This is probably the first Indian clothing store where I didn't get any type of help. Their Instagram page makes you think they're helpful, they give suggestions but that is a lie, false advertisement!!! My number 1 thing about buying something so overly priced is to have good customer service cus I am not going to represent your work if you don't value your customers! And there are soo many Indian clothing stores that do custom design pieces. And they are so nice about it as well and really know their stuff. I was just here browsing for my wedding outfit but I am so going back to the place where I always get my outfits bc they personally know me! One of the employees I recognized from the well groomed website she recently got married. But not once did she bring up how she chose her outfits and the route she took to help me or anyone decide for their big day. I asked her too about her wedding outfits but she just said she got them from here and that's it. It's like she used the employee discount to buy her outfits and then as a sales person, you're not even trying to sell anything. Half the time she was just standing there and didn't even talk. And even if I was there on a sale day that's an opportunity to meet new potential clients and to show them what else you have to offer besides the clothing on sale that have been sitting there for awhile. Well groomed please train your staff cus I'm sure Instragram is not the only thing that's going to keep this place running. For those who have given good reviews are probably bc they spent 5k each on their outfits and want you to be suckered that way. Definitely would not recommend Well Groomed to anyone. Customer service is horrible. Their body language just makes you not want to deal with them. Their dates are off and even tough everything is "customized" to you they still try to manipulate you to what they think is easier. For the amount of money I paid it definitely did not get the quality or service. Guys it's much cheaper to fly to India and do your shopping. This place is a total rip off and they just say what you want to hear to gain your money. Heck she would not even let me use her phone charger but when it came to pay and I had to transfer funds she was quick to let me use it. They never reached out to me or kept me in the loops it was always "almost ready to ship." read more

Sarah and Karen were amazingly patient with my pickiness when designing my bespoke wedding sherwani! Sarah was super communicative with options, valuable insight (like suggesting I don't wear a *full* velvet sherwani for a hot summer wedding, and helping me pick juuust the right shade of silver to tie the outfit together), and updates during the whole design and fabrication process. Went in to check out the store as it had been recommended by a friend. Was blown away by the customer service, the assortment and the quality. It equaled boutiques in Bombay and Delhi. The service was top notch. Purchased one outfit and told three friends about it, I am sure I will be back soon even though I live 45 minutes away. Thank you to Sarah for designing my wedding outfit. I wanted a Punjabi salwar suit for my wedding day. Sarah went above and beyond. With only 2 month left with my wedding she was able to make my outfit on time. I went there with no picture to show it to her, I looked at couple outfits in the store and we were both able to come up with a gorgeous outfit. Sarah gave a lot of ideas and I trusted her with everything. She was very calm, helpful and was really interested in doing her best to detail out the wedding suit since it was her very first time that she had a bride who wanted a Punjabi salwar suit.
