After researching and talking to close friends who used various companies, we decided to confirm with Careful Movers. They are not the cheapest, but they by far exceeded our expectations during our move. Starting with my inquiry, Mat, our Moving Consultant, was quick to respond and very patient in answering all my questions. Securing our moving date and processing our deposit were smooth processes. Leading up to our move date, Shenna called and emailed with reminders for any last-minute tasks and collected information so our moving team knew exactly what we needed on the date. On moving day, we had a crew of 3 movers: Enrique, Ismael, and Jose/Luis. They were punctual and arrived at our apartment right on time to get started on our move. After walking them through our apartment, discussing expectations, and signing the agreement, they went to work. This team was quick, and I mean QUICK, to disassemble and pack the truck. However, this does not mean they were sloppy by any means. Everything from our baby's furniture to our 75-inch TV was packed with the utmost care. Despite the rain, all of our belongings arrived safely at our new rental and were reassembled exactly as we asked. My POD was about .20 miles from my front door so a long distance; I gave them a heads up but it was no issue for them. I think it took 4-5 trips so pretty efficient and fast. The guys were nice, communicative, professional and took a lot of care with my stuff. They set up my platform bed for me and put my big furniture right where I needed it. Would totally hires these guys again!

They were very careful with my furniture, wrapped and protected everything. With that in mind, it took about twice as long as the estimate was to move everything. even though I packed everything myself. with double drive time (required by CA law) it ended up being over 12 hours, so the final charge was almost twice as much as the estimate. and there was only 1 container with dishes that was completely shattered. They probably dropped it or dropped something on it, but didn't say anything. I only found out later at night when I was unpacking it. Otherwise they were awesome. They did not waste any time. They were working very hard all day. so if you get an estimate, double it, as with all the wrapping and protecting your stuff, it takes much longer. They offered me an option not protecting my stuff, but I chose to have it protected.

Nothing crazy... it happens Took one start because I would appreciate to understand the tip expectations a head .. instead we were asked by the movers to tip.. since we didnt know we gave them something and then they call us cheap lol...so then we gave them 100 per mover.. which was like 20% Nothing against tipping and yes they were good and it was deserved, but it was awkward.. nice gesture if the company would have shared expectation ahead or include it in the quote. I would definitely recommend this place to folks, but recommend to the company to share tip expectations as people dont move often and are not familiar of what is customary.. thats all.
