We always start with chive cakes (4/5)and pretty much always order some version of the Thai fried rice 5/5. It's definitely elevated Thai food. I've also had their cabbage curry (3.5/5), could use a more flavor, but good idea in theory. Their cocktails and mocktails are divine. To elevate a mocktail instead of just making an expensive juice spritz is much appreciated. I must mention we did go here right after our engagement (which happened to be after a 16 hour flight back from New Zealand). As we waited for our takeout, The bartender was kind enough to offer champagne, but we're on a non drinking kick but she cheered me on as I took a million pictures of my ring. Needless to say birdsong is comfort and special for us all at once. A must try.

I had the ground pork Thai basil bowl and my friend had the khao soi noodles which she really enjoyed. My entree was really good as well - the meat was super flavorful and there was lots of basil. We split the housemade ice cream to finish which was a mango sorbet and a vanilla ice cream. It was pretty solid but not worth $14 in my opinion! I'm not in this area much so there are other Thai places I would return to before this one, but definitely a cute spot for date night or a drink on the patio!

I've now tried the panang curry, massaman curry, pad thai, duck noodle soup, and a few others. They've all been just fine, but lacking in spice level, richness, and complexity. Beyond this, the rice has been substantially overcooked on multiple occasions--a cardinal sin for Thai food in my opinion. The ambiance is cute, but lots of fake plants which I find a little corny and dated in 2025. Overall, I'll continue to get Thai pad on select occasions out of convenience, but it won't be my first choice.

I noticed they had a Thai-style sukiyaki which isn't commonly found in most Thai restaurants I go to. I loved that this dish contained glass noodles, a wide variety of veggies, and a good portion of chicken. However, I didn't love the sukiyaki sauce, which was savory with some acidity. The sukiyaki had great ingredients, but not my ideal flavors. My friend got the Siam House Noodle with extra spice, which i didn't bother trying. He enjoyed it though. Overall, Siam House gives you a huge portion of food -- we both had enough for leftovers, and this is saying a lot for my friend who has a big appetite.

The bar seem to be the best spot to sit for some people watching and to enjoy your meal although they were decent enough amount of high tops and booths. We ended up waiting over an hour but that's not their fault and this isn't reflected in my rating. In the order they came out: 1. Crispy catfish (Pad Phet Paa) - extremely disappointing. It wasn't crispy at all and the flavor was lacking. Also, there was supposed to be eggplant but we barely saw any. 2. Red coconut curry - too sweet for my liking and it wasn't spicy at all which was also a disappointment. 3. Kee Mao - this honestly was the best part of the meal but I honestly expect this dish to be solid at every restaurants. Overall, as someone from out of state, I wouldn't try this place again given this experience.

I thought the sauce was tasty with some tamarind elements but needed just a tad more acid. Having the lime slice did help. There is a full bar and television. I see a lot of people ordering for pickup and even buying just a drink to go. The mocktail drinks on the little table advertisement looked very appealing but I skipped it for some water. They also have AWESOME lunch deals that you can even redeem on weekends too ($14 for an entrée + soup on the side). The roti canai was so delicious. Must-order appetizer. Stir-fried wide rice noodles with your choice of protein, bean sprouts, and Chinese broccoli. It kind of reminds me of chow fun, but it's even more savory and just so well made. The laksa (curry noodle soup) was okay. It was a little bland for me, and the noodles soaked up a lot of the broth, so by the end my soup had basically disappeared. And for dessert.... The chendol!!!! This is the only place I've seen selling chendol in the DMV. So yummy.
