Any time you are a large scale store, you're going to have people complaining. I've bought several guns from Sportsman's, and I have always had a fantastic experience. Sure, they get busy but that's because they are doing something right. If you go on a Saturday, you should expect more people. Went into the store hoping to find a certain brand of 9mm pistol ammunition, but the shelves were literally empty. I asked an employee if there was an end-cap of 9mm ammunition and he told me that there wasn't. I commented that their shelves had that empty Covid look, and he told me that they hadn't restocked the shelves yet. I wiped the dusty metal shelf, showed him the significant dust my hand picked up, and looked him in the eye. He knew he'd been caught lying, but insisted that morning deliveries hadn't been put out.yet. I commented that he should wear a mask if there was that much dust in their ventilation. Going to the gun counter, there was one employee behind the counter and more than a dozen people waiting to be helped. There is premium ammunition behind the counter, but it's far enough away that you can't read the brand name. Judging by the number of people waiting to be helped, I'm not standing idly for an hour or two to ask what ammunition brands they have. Nowhere else in the store is there 14-15 people waiting to be helped -- and there's inky two sales clerks working the firearms counter. You'd think that store management would add people in firearm sales, as I've had precisely the same experience of actually waiting more than an hour to find out if they carry a certain product needed the next day at a training event. I have no idea what this store is doing. Neither do they. read more

Service at the gun counter left much to be desired, sorry to say. Date:6/16/26. I waited for a sales rep for at least 15 minutes, my number was called and I asked to see a pistol (Walther PPS 2). The rep couldn't locate one in the display case, I patiently waited for him to locate one in the storeroom, he brought it out, and when I asked a few questions about the weapon he abruptly took to pistol away and stated he had to help another customer! I have to say this rep gave off strange vibes and had no patience with me. I am retired law enforcement, so maybe HE didn't like my vibes. Whatever. I won't be back. read more

A great spot for shopping with focused on some outdoors excursions like fishing, hunting etc. They have a great collection for those categories. Had to speak to 2 staff and both were very nice. Has plenty of parking outside. The only thing I wish is that they had for all sports inclusive products as well like soccer, football etc. read more

This location and its MANAGEMENT staff refuses to return products under 30 days that are obviously broken. I am OK with an exchange, but they do not have it in stock. Therefore a return is warranted. MANAGEMENT refuses to return and standby the products that they sell even when the product is bought within 30 days as it states on the receipt. Stay away from Sportsman's warehouse. 1 star - First time here, and honestly, what a nightmare. I walked in curious about the pepper ball guns--had serious doubts they'd even work--but figured I'd test one before dropping cash. Instead, some guy who looked like he'd just crawled out of a dumpster comes over and tells me "this is only for buyers." Excuse me? I'm literally standing here with money in my pocket, he snapped back calling me rude, I found the Manager Nathan at the back counter. He hears it's a complaint, and goes, "Take a number and wait." Wait? For what? An apology? The 2nd coming? Whole vibe felt like a bad reality show: zero customer service, zero professionalism, and a staff that treats people like they're beneath them. Saw at least three others getting the same runaround while I stood there fuming. Prediction: this dump won't last six months. They'll either go broke or get sued into oblivion. I feel like if you are going to sell them and sell parts then have someone there to work on them. We walked out 30 mins later after standing there watching employees walk past us. I have purchased three firearms from this location in the past, but after my experience today, Sunday, March 1st, I will never return. I arrived at 2pm, pulled my ticket at 2:18, and stood at the gun counter for two hours to purchase my fourth firearm. While an associate named Josh was polite and attempting to follow the ticket system, the experience was completely derailed by another associate, Marc. Marc showed blatant disregard for the queue and spent the afternoon acting as if I were invisible. While I waited--the only woman at the counter--I watched Marc allow at least five men without tickets to cut the line to chat about flashlights and gadgets behind the counter. After an hour into my wait time, I spoke up about the ticket system and the fact that he was repeatedly letting men cut the line, Marc's only response was a dismissive, "Yeah, we're busy." Being "busy" is no excuse for sexism, ignorance, or ignoring the very ticket system the store put in place. Finally, at 3:56 when the team lead James came along, he helped me complete my transaction and I was cashed out at 4:03 pm. It is 2026; a woman should be able to walk into a Sportsman's Warehouse and receive the same professional treatment as any man. Instead, I was forced into a two-hour "boys' club" wait while my actual background check only took two minutes. I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Absolutely disappointing. read more

I ordered some ammunition online this morning to be picked up at a location close to my house. When I got the confirmation, it was at another store 25 miles from my house. I wasn't sure what to do. I called that store and they transferred me to customer service. I told them what happened and was issued a refund in a matter of seconds. It's hard to find customer service like that. Never again will I shop at a this store. While traveling my solar generator went out. Amazon, Costco,Home Depot and Lowe's had a two to five business days . I purchased a Nebo power bank 200 and solar panel on Friday, powered it up with my vehicle 12 volt was reading 90 plus watts ,was fully charged in a couple of hours Used the Nebo to charge up my devices got ready to recharge the Nebo it's now trickling 7 watts in on the power Bank. The new return policy is on their website no returns on power banks even though this is a defect In fact they have a long list of items that other stores will give a refund if it's defective. Now I know why their parking lots are always empty. I spent $700 at this store and none of the items I purchased are returnable. Never never again. read more

Sportsman has lost my business for life! They need to improve their customer service at the gun counter. I asked for help so many times and was just ignored. Was it because I am a woman? The funny thing was there was no one in the store on Monday and I thought what a great time to buy a new rifle and try out using my ccw permit for check out. I asked for the general manager, they said he was on vacation. I asked for the corporate number and got a voicemail. Called back on Wednesday got the receptionist, she transfered me. I left my information on the voicemail. Called back on Thursday, same, voicemail. We spend $1,000's of dollars here. We are big hunters and fishing is in our blood. How could they not want my money? Why did they not call me back? I am sad, now I need to find another place to shop! read more

Copy and paste from my Google review as I didn't feel like writing it again: I've shopped at this particular store for over 20 years and over time, I've seen it decline quite a bit. This is primarily in regards to availability of items and during the last several visits, I have not found even the simplest things I was looking for. Whatever I did find, however, was either way overpriced or it was one 'model' of what I was looking for. At this point, I have absolutely no idea how this place is still in business. Bass Pro Shops is ten times farther and I still prefer to go there any time I need anything for fishing or any other outdoor activities I do. I went in there today looking for water shoes and there wasn't a single size available that I could try on. All other sandals/water shoes/Hey Dude shoes are either not available in the specific model or they're just not right for water activities. I'd be surprised if you make it another decade. read more

I live about 40 miles from the sportsman's Warehouse in Phoenix on the 101 and 27th avenue and I called because it's a long drive, to see if there was any possibility of bringing back a little buddy heater without a receipt and the woman cashier told me that I should bring it in and I could talk to a manager. She did not howevertell me that they would not definitely take it back without a receipt so I made the trip in and the manager was very rude and very Curt and started by telling me if I don't have a receipt I can't take it back and I said well maybe you should have told me that before I made a long trip in here. All I was really expecting was some honesty and straightforwardness it was not expecting to be disrespected and led to believe that there was a possibility of talking about it at least. The fact that the manager was probably in his twenties leads me to believe that he has very little experience in life and without life experience you don't know how to handle people and situations diplomatically in a way that would be profitable for everyone and disarming. His lack of professionalism has caused me to never shop there again and I would suggest that you find at least another store or REI maybe if you're looking for sporting equipment. The customer service here is non-existent and misleading I own a business and I would not be in business if I treated people on this manner. Number one the lady that was at the counter should have been able to handle it herself or transfer me to the manager so I didn't have to make the drive. They also told me about the rewards program and the benefits of it, then helped me sign up. They were both very friendly and knowledgeable. Wow. This store was a bad experience from the time I walked in. They got me on get out credit card and save 15% on a gun purchase. I trusted them to make this happen. I purchased the gun and never received a statement or bill to pay. I went in the store and CJ one of the managers wouldn't have anything to do with me even though he and his other manager messed everything up at the store the day of purchase. I just called the store to talk to CJ. He literally hung up on me. Don't purchase anything here. My trip worked out, but man their customer service counter is abysmal!! Came in on Christmas Eve for an item shown as being in stock on the website. I couldn't locate an employee in the shoe department when I was unable to find the size I needed on the shelf. I walked to customer service, 4 employees were behind the counter with no one in line. I provided the website listing for what I wanted showing the site said it was in stock. Without checking or calling anyone from shoes I was told all their stock was out on the shelves, and that the website takes time to accurately reflect once they've run out of something. I asked if they could please check because I drove an hour for these shoes. He again reiterated that all stock in on the shelves, and if I can't find it, they ain't got it. Oooook. About 5 minutes later an employee from clothing came by as I was looking at shirts. She asked if I needed help, I showed her the item I was originally looking for. She was very pleasant and offered to check in back. Not even a minute later out she came with the item in hand. I was beyond pleased! Not only did they have the right size, they had multiples available IN BACK! The clothing and shoe employee was outstanding. Your customer service desk needs a new name. They clearly aren't in the business of service, and I don't think they like customers. read more

I really enjoy coming here! They always have a ton of inventory to look at and the customer service is always on point. I've purchased 2 firearms from here as well as a knife and I've always been treated amazing. The guys have always been patient with me when I ask a hundred questions, they're always helpful and always knowledgeable. That's huge for me when doing business with someone. My only gripe and "complaint" if you will is they really don't have great clothing selection for women. The men have a ton of stuff, and YES, I get it, and I understand the name of the store haha, but I do think they could add more selection for us sporty/outdoorsy ladies!! read more

I have made several purchases online with no problem. But my recent experience has left me very dissatisfied with their online system. I tried to purchase an item twice and both time the system is saying "order cannot be placed at this time, try again later or call this #". So I've got no order but when I checked by bank account there are 2 charges for $651.59. When I contacted Sportsman's they said, that happens sometimes. Really? Maybe you should fix what's wrong with your system that charges someone twice but no order is placed. I'm done with that BS. read more

Placed an order of an "in stock" item, multiple actually. After a week went by with no shipping detail I reached out to them. They notified me that they didn't have the item at the time so I'll be refunded. This was by email btw. Already not to happy with them charging for something they didn't have, but even worse not notifying me at all about their mistake. They stated they already contacted my bank to let them know to release said funds because they never charged me. The fact it's been a week I decided to call them and ask what's going on. They stated they never started the refund process and that I will have to wait another week to get my refund. When I asked why they wouldn't email or reach out to me in any way to let me know they sold me something that they don't have I was told they usually do and don't know what happened. Same answer about the refund. Saying it usually happens within 24 hours and again don't know what happened. No apologies, no interest in correcting their mistake, just an oh well not my money have a good day and thanks for calling. This will definitely be my last purchase at this company online or in store. Not surprised there's groups dedicated to their poor customer support. read more
