About 5 years ago, I was in the area. Everyone I dealt with there treated me like they were doing me a favor by talking to me. That got old so I stopped going there. Then about two years ago, I stepped foot back in because no other gun shop had a Remington 870. They ordered one for me. I dealt with a big bearded dude. Very nice but don't remember his name. I've also dealt with a young kid named Blake recently. Very knowledgeable and helpful. It seems they worked out the ppl I initially encountered with the smug attitude. I have never left an adverse online review so doing so for a gun store makes me cringe pretty hard. About a year ago, I purchased a silencer for a build I was thinking about doing. I was familiar with silencer shops return policy so I was comfortable rolling the dice considering the lead time on a form 4 was about a year out. Today I got a call that my Form 4 was completed and i decided to forego the build. Even though I did it through the silencer shop kiosk, the transaction was through the store which excluded me from silencershops glorious return policy . My fault, no worries. I asked about not taking delivery of the silencer and getting a refund, even offering to forego my $200 stamp as that seemed like a no brainer. The first guy I talked to just rambled and contradicted himself. When I asked to speak to the dude in charge of the silencers, he was laid back and said that was no problem at all. Pretty easy and standard at this point which is the usual dealing with good dealers. I received a call later from the same gentlemen that said his boss wanted to tax me a 20% restocking fee on the silencer (in addition to the $200 stamp fee) Keep in mind, I didn't take delivery of the product, the purchase was paid in full for the entire year, and the product sells for more now than when I purchased it. I want to clarify. If the dude originally told me there wasn't an option to return it, I wouldn't have an issue at all. It just didn't sit right with me for a call back to try to squeeze another 20% out of me. With record sales over the last couple of years, it speaks volumes that a store would twist the screws on a customer for an extra 20% for a product that never left the store, was paid in full for a year, and now sells for more than original purchase price. This experience is pretty atypical from any merchant I have dealt with as the 2a community is consistently of the highest integrity. read more

Upon first walking in the door I was met with a symphony of "hellos" from everyone working there. It only got better from there, as the service was impeccable! I asked to see no fewer than five different handguns. Each time I asked to take a look at a different pistol I was treated politely, courteously and promptly; unlike some places where I get the feeling that I am putting someone out. I eventually settled on one, and the service at the point of sale was above and beyond any other firearms store I've encountered in almost twenty-five years in the Valley. This place should be a business model for other small businesses to learn from. They know how to treat a customer! Their prices aren't the cheapest, but they are fair, and I consider them a good value for both the quality of exceptional service and fantastic selection on-hand in their inventory. Not sure if employees were having an off day or not, but man they didn't want to even acknowledge me. I walked around, looked at all the pistol counters, even wanted to look at a couple different ones. I've been in retail customer service for a couple decades, and I don't let customer walk around without asking if they need help, or at the very least say hi. Not giving a lower rating because hey seem to have a nice selection of firearms. I walked around for 20-30 minutes, and spent most of it looking at their 22 and Sig pistol counters. I'll probably go back, as it's so close to work, but I've gotten better service from other firearm stores in Scottsdale. read more

Not very impressed with the way we were treated! Talked to a young man with a full hood, camouflage mask on! We told him we were seeking information about a couple of different items as we had not been in there before! He was very condescending and short with us! The best gun store in the valley, huge selection, with a wide variety of any firearm your little heart desires. With most of their inventory always in stock. & If they currently don't have what you're looking for, they will get it! The staff are extremely polite (sometimes) they are very knowledgeable and know what they are talking about. At first, I was very skeptical to purchase anything here, thinking the prices were going to be extremely high. But I was wrong. I actually just left his facility. Over the last month I have bought, traded, and sold firearms through the west side of the valley at places such as guns plus, legendary guns and more. The places I just mentioned have excellent customer service and do not try to screw you on a sale. This place bear arms was not only very short and rude when I walked in but the guy came out and looked at my week old Sigg P3 65 and because I was selling it with one mag rather than two he said only one mag I'm going to only give you 200 for that. Of course that's fine everybody can do as they wish but he rudely walked off quickly when I said I wasn't interested in the sale but that I was interested in looking at another gun, which by the way they have in stock and was the only reason I made the trip to Scottsdale from surprise Arizona. The other guy at the counter says to me that those magazines are $50 apiece and that it's a used gun well that would've meant a $250 sell, this is just not a good place to do business with because their attitude sucks and they want to rip you off I mean I understand what it means to make a buck for $200 for a week old Sigg P3 65 is a rip off and I'm telling you this from experience as somebody who has sold multiple guns in the last month to other places. Given the way that everything is right now I understand that certain businesses are facing more pressure than others but my personal business was shut down in April and I have been forced to find a new career so I understand stress but people should be more excited to be working and to help people and make them happy as well as make money making money is not the only goal and if that's all you're in it for then you get one star. read more

Ordered a suppressor to this FFL, and unfortunately moved to a different state so I had to withdraw my eform 4 and cancel the order. 1 year later and Bear Arms is still holding onto my suppressor and not returning it to Silencer shop. The employees there are super rude and unwilling to help. "there's nothing we can do" even though they have to start the process. Absolutely fed up with their laziness. If I could give a negative rating I would, The store requested to follow me on Instagram so I looked them up to see who they were noticed they had a lot of different pictures on their Instagram page showing all the ammo they had in stock with great prices, so I went down there one Friday after work only to find out that none of the prices are correct and also noticed all the pictures on their Instagram page of ammo are not even in their store, it's somebody else's photos! I commented it about it on one of their photos and they blocked me LOL I could really care less about it but to me that's just false advertising and another way to rip off the public and get traffic into your store. read more

A plentiful supply of firearms are available here, and the store is nicely laid out with wide open aisles so you don't feel like you are shopping in a Dollar Store. Unfortunately they didn't have what I was looking for, as stun guns weren't in their stock. I know it's a gun store, but still when looking for self defense for the wife's purse it would have been nice if they had something of a less than lethal response available for sale. They were also fairly busy and a bit understaffed. If you are looking for a decent firearm the prices are right though, so don't let this review scare you off. I came in with a Ruger LC9 with a trigger that would not reset. Daryl, looked at it for a few minutes free of charge and correctly diagnosed this as an issue for Ruger. He didn't have to do any of that, nor did I expect it. I work in IT and there is almost always a charge for diagnosis. That said, I have inspected devices for free if I felt it was something that could be quickly resolved. Karma coming back to me I guess. Went in to buy a couple of rifles. Scar 16s fde $3600 and black $3200. Guy asks the manager Kurt or Curt if he would match the color price with the black. Instead he literally raised the prices on the spot on each. Too funny as I'm there to buy a couple of rifles and optics and accessories but instead get that crap. It's nuts out there but spend your money elsewhere. To respond to the bs from the "owner". Liar. I showed the price in multiple locations including locally and yes gun stores that sell online. I preferred the fde and asked the guy to meet me halfway because I did prefer to do business locally. It wasn't mis-priced it was exactly the MAP price. Get the story straight. Even your guys were embarrassed. Did business with Scottsdale GC instead. As far as the turbulent times go, things ebb and flow and treating people poorly when you can as a business won't help you in the long run. Dropped by here today to look for some magazines and what an incredible store! Excellent selection of holsters, gear, parts, ammunition and not to mention firearms. Everything from Glocks to Wilson 1911s and from Mossbergs to an MG42 this place is sure to have what you're looking for. The shop is easy enough to find and is very clean and organized. Just moved to AZ from Southern Commifornia about 2 weeks ago and let's just say that I'm glad my AZ license hasn't been received in the mail yet. It's like a kid in a candy store in there!! I was there with a buddy checking out the multitude of different firearms for sale. The guy behind the counter was very nice and extremely informative. Even though we didn't have the ability to purchase any of their guns, that guy took a lot of time to explain everything we wanted to look at. He was extremely knowledgeable and let us hold many of their Class 3 specialities. Had I had my my AZ license, I easily would've walked out with a new rifle and possible more. PS.
