Had been to a couple other popular shops in Scottsdale just to get no assistance or not be waited on at all. Waited almost 30 minutes at one shop, they weren't busy, to ask some questions. He strongly recommended I go and try a few different types before committing to a purchase and made recommendations and when I came back, he had been completely correct because I wanted something completely different and he helped me find exactly what was right for me. Don't buy a gun here!! I got the run around by the man working the counter who would not accept my AZ temporary license. This was strange, because this same temporary license was accepted at the same company store in Chandler, Az. Their Chandler store sent me to this location, because they were out of stock of my desired model type. All I got was fake superficial poor customer service/hassles at the Tempe store. Because of their foolishness with bad customer service, they lost a sale to me. On the same day, I made my purchase at the Arizona Firearms store(2 miles away)with the same ADOT temporary license.To avoid frustration and hassles don't buy firearms from Az Guns period. read more

As an employee of an organization that gets much criticism and many daily customer complaints, I understand that you cannot make everyone happy all the time, I also understand the difference between valid complaints and ones who are complainers. Sometimes you just have to pass over the complainers and say have a nice day, please come back and see us again! The ones with valid complaints, I always feel a responsibility to fix the problem that they are experiencing, or at least make it up to them. I say this because of what I experienced at the Tempe store. I had a great experience with purchasing guns, but the day before I took my son to the range, I thought I would go online and order ammunition so that I didn't go into the store and find out they were sold out. I gave it several hours, then called to make sure my order was put together, but was told online orders are filled by the manufacturer, then shipped to the store. I wasn't happy, but I was going to the range, so I made a visit to the store and purchased ammo that was in stock. My bad experience came two weeks later when I was going on a business trip, and still had not received the promised email stating that my order was ready. My online order was 5/22/3026. I never received the promised email, but finally received a phone call on 6/26/2026 that told me I could pick up the order. Strike one was taking over a month to receive ammo that is most likely always on the shelf for in-store purchase. Strike two happened when I picked up the order 7/01/2026, asked if an entire month was a normal timeframe for online ammo orders to be filled, and was told it depends. No apologies for the massive inconvenience, no effort to make up for any disatisfaction, just an answer that blew off any concerns. Please do better for the next guy. When a customer has questions about firearms, the store seems to be very accommodating, but get the online logistics in check without acting so matter of fact when customers are dissatisfied. read more

I went into the location off of Ray and Alma school yesterday and was helped by Bill. I am brand new to shooting and buying guns and he made me feel like we have been friends for years and answered all my questions and concerns and more, I ended up going home without buying amything. I did go to other gun stores to check them out but absolutely fell in love with how comfortable AZ Guns made me feel so I went back later in the day. Bill was off but Jay and Levi were there, I worked with Jay for over 3 hours and ended up buying a gun. Jay was very patient with me and took time to really explain the gun buying process. I will not go anywhere else. Those guys are amazing, honest, and make a person new to guns feel very comfortable. I took my gun out today shooting and am even more in love with my gun to. Got home no longer than 15 mins from the purchase to open my new gun and find what they sold me was used with excessive ware, misshandling markings and had been fired (not test fired, multiple rounds). On top of that I paid extra for a 22 mag cylinder when it looks like it should have come in the box. Multiple calls placed, emails sent and they refuse to find a resolution. I believe on one call a small box of ammo was offered but that is completely unacceptable. This is clearly bait and switch. This review is one step of many to come. Update from Brandon. After putting a Google review they now want to review the issue. But still want to put the blame on me for being sold a used gun labeled as new. Odd how after multiple phone calls, messages left and an email with my number they still won't call me I've spoken with Sergio and Vince at length about this. I did not inspect this new in box item but Vincent did. When I called he mentioned he saw it and all the damage but didn't say anything but "all sales are final" The issue with this gun is not on the manufacturer so please stop with the chain of command nonsense. This was brought to your attention last week and you simply chose to do nothing about it. Update 3. Dropped a 5.7 off for warranty repair the same day I purchased two new guns. Called the manufacturer this morning and they haven't received it. It's been two weeks and Ruger confirmed no outbound FedEx scans so AZ guns clearly didn't send it. This company... Update. Having followed Brandon's request, I've sent a second email. My request was for a refund but instead was met with the use of police force. They tried to throw the manufacturer under the bus so I'll let Bill Hicks know about that. They seem to not care so on to next steps. Don't know why this guy Brandon is so aggressive but whoa. Just walked out of this shop because my friend was refused by the racist manager and shop help. I had just been handed a firearm to see, (and for context I'm as white as they come but covered in tattoos) , and when my friend went to ask to see a firearm the help pointed at a Friday the 13th tattoo on his arm and said she would not let him look (also for context he is Hispanic) . We are both legal firearm owners and have no felonies and wouldn't even look at his id. I'm not sure if these people are racist or not. However, when I was there, I was accused of lying to them in order to buy a weapon. I felt so insulted but they only option to leave without being able to buy a weapon. I am an established professional and have never been accused of lying like this men at this store. I understand they have policies in place to avoid weapons falling into the wrong hands, however, they got this one very wrong. Will never come back to this place or anyone associated to them. Accusing people of lying without any basis is bad for business, and it's also rude, and violates rights! read more
