I am a big outdoor enthusiast and live next door to this Bass Pro Shop in Mesa. Most of my outdoor activities include camping, running, skiing and kayaking. Bass Pro Shops have been around for many years and recently acquired Cabela's. This Bass Pro Shop is called Outdoor World and has an aquarium, shooting gallery and animal displays. It adds to the fun of walking around these stores and gives you that feel that you are outside. The prices aren't anything special. But I like that you can find a lot of outdoor apparel and gear all in one stop. Bass Pro Shops supports conservation efforts throughout the U.S. The Islamorada Fish Company Restaurant that was here closed a few years ago.

It was extremely rude and disrespectful to everyone who had been patiently waiting their turn. What made the situation even worse was that no one from the store seemed to address it or manage the situation, even though the area was busy. Basic courtesy and respect for other customers should be expected in a public place, and unfortunately that wasn't the case here. While the store itself may be popular, experiences like this leave a really negative impression. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed with how the situation played out. I hope that some day, this issue gets addressed and resolved. Needless to say, I won't be coming back & would highly recommend staying away from this location.

Long story short TBI exposure left me with some medical problems I was overheated needed to go to the VA for some fluids. I'm a law abiding American was my enhanced permit and no firearms are allowed on VA property. I almost passed out. It was 120° outside getting my firearms out of the vehicle (I had to dig) I was living in campgrounds and things to that nature to make appointments. I had almost no money until my check went in two days asked if they could watch my firearms while I went to the VA. I was there longer than I thought so the next day they charged me $35 to hold onto my firearms. Which is OK if when I was waiting in the morning, parked in the shade where a big lifted truck that says STRAPPED ARMORY(if you're a guy and driver lifted truck that says strapped. Your definitely not enough said) he pretended to not know me. Trying to see if he could skate by saying didn't leave firearms there. I'm in tried to convince me he didn't know me. My firearms are better than anything. He had. When I was there before my brain was swelling and I was stuttering and had to give him a number to call if I passed out... yeah. Dishonesty! Yeah that's the type of guy you're dealing with when you go there. I'm from East Tennessee. It might just be a different world out here., But the man knows about as much about fishing as he does firearms and that's not much. He knows how to make money and that's about it. integrity is zero! I will say the young man that waited on me sort of large fellow. I can't remember his name tattoos really good dude solid he should be running the place. I actually think he's a good dude probably a Vet. Somebody needs to hire that guy and pay him, he's running show. I had to sell a 1911 there at an enormous loss just to get gas to get up the road. He handed me a holster and confidently said, "This will work." When I went to pay, he asked for my ID -- for a holster. That made absolutely no sense. I later checked Arizona law, and an ID is not required to purchase a holster. To make things worse, once I got outside and opened the package, the holster didn't even fit my firearm. Then I checked their return policy and found out they won't accept returns once the package is opened. So I was sold the wrong product, asked for ID unnecessarily, and then stuck with an item I can't return. If you're going to offer help, at least make sure you're giving customers the correct product. Very disappointing experience.
