Jeff has had my pistol for four years. He has promised it maybe a dozen or more times and has never finished it with my supplied parts. I used to go to Phoenix every five weeks and called every time to retrieve it without success because 1) he doesn't answer the phone or call back most times and 2) He is never there when he says he will be. I wish I could get my valuable target pistol back but I just have to chalk it up to making a very bad decision. I wish yelp had been around years ago so I could have avoided Jeff. Horrible customer service! I took in my 1911 to get cleaned and to get the jamming issue resolved, waited about 3 months and called over 100 times nothing but excuses weee presented and when I finally picked up my gun it looked exactly the way I brought it in, Jeff basically did nothing and charged me $200. please save your time and money and go with someone other then Magnum Precision. read more

Absolutely the worst place to take a weapon. I dropped off my weapons 8 weeks ago , when I dropped them off I was told they would be done in two weeks. I went there today to pick them up and I was told to come back later and that the owner didn't know where my guns were and that he would drop them off at my house once he finds them . At this point I don't know if he is going to damage them on purpose before giving them back to me . For the past 6 weeks I heard excuse after excuse from lathe broke to he is moving into a new building.I absolutely do not recommend this place . I am thinking on bringing in the police / ATF to investigate this place if I don't get my stuff back today. read more

Anytime I need work done on a firearm I take it to these guys. Their work never disappoints. The turn around time is depending on the work that needs to be done, and the guns ahead of your gun. I've had guns with them for less than 30 mins, and a gun in there for about 4 weeks. They do great work so they usually have a lot of guns on the table. read more

Cross threaded a screw on a brand new Henry rifle and took it to Magnum Precision for repair. That was in March 2022. It is now almost July. He claims the rifle was sent to Henry for repair. I called Henry and they said the rifle with the serial number I gave hasn't been in their possession since February when they sold it to the wholesaler. So I seem to be getting a run-around from Magnum Precision. I'm just about ready to call the police and report it stolen then file legal paperwork against Magnum Precision for a new rifle. I used Magnum Precision once before for a trigger on a pistol and had no problems. But a simple cross threaded screw seems to be too complicated. You're rolling the dice if you take something here for repair. I guess I was lucky the first time. read more

I needed some work done on my Glock and although it took sometime to get the work done. Due to them being very busy and backlogged. I'm very satisfied with the results. I brought my S&W M&P in for a simple night sight upgrade. It was done that day. So all in all. I'm happy and satisfied with their skills and craftsmanship. read more

I have used these guys a few times to install night sights to my Handguns. They are Friendly and most times they have done my sights within an hour, Only once when the other technician was on vacation did I have to wait a few hours. I have not had any major work done on my rifles although I did take a 870 Wingmaster in to have a loose pin that was sliding out when racking the pump action, but he just tapped it back in and said it looked fine. I thought they would replace or add Loctite or something. Sort of a Waste of Time. Nevertheless, I have had great service for sight replacements on my Handguns. read more

I only gave this place a one star because you can't go any lower. I took an AR upper to these guys to get a flash hider pin and welded. To make a long story short..Stay away from these idiots they don't know what they're doing..I know more than they do about AR's. They can't tell aDI system from a piston system and that's bad..but top make it worse they don't even offer an apology for screwing up and that my friends is terrible customer service. read more

Their lead times are a lot longer than their estimated very long lead times. I've had two rifles threaded by them and the work was done perfect. I can't explain how good of a job they did without cussing. But 4 months is too long of a wait and the price is pretty high. read more

Jeff has been doing my work for 20 years, everything from trigger jobs, sight alignments, scope mounting, machining a rifle muzzle brake, and customizing two 1911's. He's excellent. He's also a terrific guy. Apparently there are other good gunsmiths in the area, but the two I tried sucked. Jeff is not only a gunsmith, but he's also a competent machinist. People don't realize how rare and important that is in the firearms business. Guns are in reality just tools and machines, and Jeff knows just what to do. People with gripes are mostly exasperated by the lengthy turn around time on his jobs. But do you want a gunsmith with a ton of customers or one who has no work to do because people don't use him? Cut Jeff and Ward some slack and be patient. You'll be thrilled with the final results read more

I see that most of the reviews for this company are very old, but I want to state that for being as far behind as they say they are, they don't even work on Saturday...their customer service is very poor and all they did was waste my time, kept putting me off as to when they would look at my pistol before I finally had to go and pick it up ... they couldn't even find it right away...they told me 2 days originally and it turned into to 6 weeks...just a trap to get me to give them business...perhaps management has changed or they are just good at doing small add-ons... I've used them about a half a dozen times and always get good service. They get all my guns that have anything more difficult than a drop-in and have done good work. They also will adjust things if you come back and are not quite happy with it. Being inside the Shooter's World building is convenient for obvious reasons. Ward made his own custom sight pusher and can turn around notoriously difficult sight installations pretty quickly. The only reasons they don't get a five star rating is 1) no online presence and 2) whenever I give a rating that high, Yelp! buries it to encourage paid subscriptions by the vendors. read more

Brought my rifle to have it looked at... Apparently I was supposed to read 1 of several "signs" on the counter to know when I am allowed to call on a status.. Btw a week is not long enough. You are not allowed to address your complaint to another employee about a conversation that did not go well. "We don't care to hear you go on." Talked to an instructor outside shooters world who said they are good gunsmiths, but one was hit in the head as a Sheriff.. Now I support le but this is a business and not worth dealing with people who are ready to go off and don't know customer service. Yes it is better to let a customer go who is unreasonable, but I was not. I asked a question one might ask of any service business and that is what is troubling about this business. That much hostility towards customers is just no place to take your items no matter what it is. Sure they might do great work over and over, but that one time you ask the wrong question and that lights the powder keg.. you will be paying a very high price. Lucky for me my rifle has a very low value and nothing was done to it so money was a non issue. read more

Great place to take your firearms. These guys are always super nice and very helpful with your firearm questions. This place is located inside of Shooters World and they are a separate business with different business hours. I have had them install a powder river trigger for 2 of my Springfield XD handguns. I also had some failure to feed issues with a Bushmaster ACR that they fixed for me as well. They are super knowledgeable and very reasonable in price. If you are looking for some true professionals I would recommend taking your stuff here. They do have a wait time of between 1-4 weeks depending on what you are having done. read more

I have dealt with award and Jeff at Magnum a precision and always found them to be great gunsmiths and above all honest. The sign on the counter reads "4-6 weeks for repairs" that's because they're conscientious and good at what they do. Why would anyone want shoddy, rushed work on a firearm? read more

I have finally found my gunsmith! After I messed up my Beretta 92 installing a lighter hammer spring I drove to or called about a half dozen gunsmiths to fix my mistake. A couple said "we have a guy who comes by and picks up the guns and will bring them back in a couple weeks". A couple of them were out of business. I finally walked into Magnum Precision and it was just what you want to find. They fixed my Beretta and charged me about half of what I was expecting. read more

Magnum built my first 1911 in 1994. 70,000 rounds later, it's still going strong. Since then, rifles, shotguns, and other semi-auto pistols have had their excellent attention. If you want your gun to work, this is the place. He has bailed me out when I've brought him a couple of "bag-o-guns" that I screwed up via amateur gunsmithing too. LOL read more

I was recommended to this shop to have an upgraded trigger installed in my ar-15 .. I called them to see if they could install and told me they could do it the same day , so I drove down there and left the gun . He told me upon seeing the rifle that I should change my scope mounts to a different style to allow a more comfortable fit for viewing .. I went next door to purchase the new scope mount and left him with it to swap out with my new mount ... I picked up the gun and went to the range the next morning to shoot it and started making adjustments and noticed that my left /right adjustment was moving me up and down and that my up and down adjustment was moving me left and right ... After about $30 in ammo later I realized my scope had been mounted incorrectly and I borrowed a wrench from the guy next to me at the range and rolled the scope to its proper position .... I called magnum gunsmith the next day to let them know I was upset that I had been charged $25 to mount my scope wrong and he told me he did it that way to avoid the ejected shell from hitting the scope !! What a joke of an excuse and this wasn't even physically possible and he didn't even offer to refund my money and on top of it my scope was a BDC style reticle so he now threw that out of whack with the way he mounted it ! And on top of it when I had got the gun home I noticed I was missing the decorative logo off the bottom of the hand grip ... Called down there and he told me that it was laying on his bench !! Nice lack of quality control and this cost me another trip to pick up my part and I had to reinstall it myself !!! I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody and poor customer service and I'm upset that he wouldn't even refund my $25 for his mistake !!! And on top of it he admitted to me that he didn't even know it was a BDC style reticle , so did he even look thru the scope to know what he was working on or to even know if it was level ..And then he made a snarl remark to me that he had mounted thousands of scopes and this is how he does it , well if that truly were the case wouldn't you let your customer know this is what he did before leaving the shop !! read more
