A great selection of Cowboy Shooting revolvers and lever action rifles. They have a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Legendary Guns has the best onsite gunsmith in the Phoenix area. Markia is a wizard with coming up with fixes on obsolete firearms. My favorite gun store in the valley. read more

I was searching for a very specific firearm and Legendary Guns absolutely delivered. Jennifer went above and beyond to track one down for me, demonstrating exceptional customer service every step of the way. She kept me consistently updated throughout the process, communicated clearly, and made me feel genuinely taken care of. When one finally arrived in the store, she texted me immediately, which made the whole experience feel personal and seamless. As fate would have it, it even arrived just in time for Christmas, which made it all the more special. From start to finish, the experience was smooth, professional, and enjoyable. I can't recommend Legendary Guns highly enough, especially if you are looking for knowledgeable staff who truly care about their customers. read more

Probably one of the unfriendliest gun stores I've ever been in. I've done thousands of dollars of business with them because they are close by and they have a nice western gun section, but I don't think I can force myself to go there anymore. I'm a decent guy, easy to get along with and knowledgeable about guns, but the employees are so incredibly unfriendly it's unreal. The manager(s) is/are good but I don't want to have to ask for a manager every time I want to look at something or ask a question. No idea why they're like that, and can't imagine how much they've cost the owners over the years. The gunsmith is their one redeeming quality - she's one of the best in the state. read more

Such a nice place to do business with. I've been wanting a shotgun for years and I finally bit the bullet (no pun intended). Jen and Raul were so great to work with and this was by far the fastest experience purchasing a firearm. These are the shops that deserve business. They're super fair, transparent, and friendly. I absolutely love my Mossberg 500 and I'd be more than happy to come back and purchase another firearm from them. read more

Called to see if the shop was interested in purchasing a gun that I never use much. Was told "They are not interested". That is the WORSE answer your employee could possibly give to a gun owner and potential customer calling your shop. The correct answer is "Bring your firearm in sir. We would like to look at it" Then, while you're contemplating NOT buying my gun, I might have contemplated buying a NEW gun from your store for my collection Your loss. Need better phone sales training for your staff read more

I have done business for 30 years with Legendary guns and they do no wrong. Dave and his family has built a great store and great people work there. If you don't like what you see or hear then move it on down the road, but it you want to tap into a new experience with a small town feel people who really want to help you then Legendary is the answer. A bit of advice you will get what you give at Legendary guns so be nice and they will reciprocate the same back to you. Hi Dave!! read more

What a great store. They had the oddball caliber I needed for a Henry repeating rifle. Nice people.

Raul and Markia are 100% consistent and a pleasure to deal with everytime I come in. I bought an SKS that had some trouble feeding; they absorbed the cost and put me on a VSKA in trade. I've picked up several pieces and I always walk away satisfied. Markia even put raised sights on my Glock with same day turnaround. read more

They were very helpful with information about the guns I was interested in. Gave me an awesome deal on a Gen 5 Glock 45. Will definitely be referring family members to their gun shop and continue going to them only, for any hand guns I'll be purchasing. Not a better family owned gun shop in Phoenix than them truly. Do yourself a favor and take a trip to their shop and see what they got in their inventory. Thank you for the great service for the last 33 years! read more

Summary: They wouldn't sell to me cause I'm not an AZ resident citing federal laws prevent them, but that's not true according to ATF agent at the Phoenix office. The Legendary Guns employees were extremely rude to me when I tried to talk to them about the law and ask them to ship it to a FFL dealer in CA. More details: On Dec 31 My girlfriend and I visited Legendary Guns to purchase a side by side shotgun for her; we had looked at the shotgun a month prior and finally made the choice to get it. We're both California residents and we visit Arizona frequently cause her family lives there (it was her home town). The employees that day told us that because of federal law they are not allowed to sell to a California resident. This statement felt dubious to me so I questioned them, I asked them which law prevent them to sell to me (I said this having done my own research and reading on the ATF website nothing of the sort, only that the AZ FFL dealer would have to abide by the more stringent CA laws). Several employees jumped the gun and shut me down, repeating "federal law prevents us from selling to you." An older employee, male with white hair aggressively shook the firearms transfer document at me yelling, "This law doesn't let us!!!!" They wouldn't sell me the shotgun that day. I'm back in California now, and today I called the ATF agent at the Phoenix office, (602)-776-5480, who answered all my questions. Yes, an Arizona FFL dealer can sell to a California resident, yes, they have to follow CA laws, yes, they can ship the firearm to a CA FFL dealer near me. I just got off the phone with Ryan, a store manager at Legendary Guns and I told him about my experience at his store and what the ATF agent told me. Ryan was willing to ship the long gun to a CA FFL dealer and sell me the rifle, however, Ryan it seems that that shotgun is no longer in the store, maybe it sold... California gun laws are more stringent and complex than Arizona's gun law, I get that, and it's complicated to be up-to-date on the laws. The ATF agent told me that there are no federal laws preventing any FFL dealer in the United States to sell to any person based on the buyer's out of state residence. If gun dealers, gun stores don't want to sell to someone with an out because it's too complicated for them or whatever reason, that's fine, just own it and don't pass the buck blaming, "strict federal gun laws", that's a cop-out. Special thanks to the manager Ryan for talking to me like a human being, I upped my rating from one star to two for that. Hopefully the shotgun I want is not sold and just put aside somewhere, Ryan said he'd call me, but I figure it's sold or they just don't want to deal with selling to a non-Arizonan. We all want the same thing, to sell and buy guns, it's not that hard to call your local ATF agent to get help interpreting the law. read more

Great shop. Been coming here for years. Good deals on used guns. This shop is my go to shop.

I had the best experience at legendary guns, the people are very nice especially Jennifer the one that helped me, she took all the time I needed to help me with my purchase. Jennifer was nice enough to give me a call when the item I wanted had come in so I can go back and purchase it, most businesses usually forget about you after you leave but not this place, I really feel they gave me extra special customer service and I will be going back there for all my firearm needs. I also got a chance to talk to the owner and he was very nice, I highly recommend this place to all. read more

Legendary Guns - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Let me start off by saying we were referred here, and I had the most unprofessional experience today with my Father who is a Vietnam Veteran! I was just looking around making sure my partially blind father got the service he deserves, and was met with a disrespectful A**hole who took ZERO interest in my fathers needs. Which was a simple gun cleaning, that my father was willing to wait the 5-6 weeks that this a** said they were behind in that service. Then he says after, so we don't offer that service here. Not only did he watch my father struggle to put his clip and spring back in the box. He offered NO help. I asked if he could refer me to another store he replied "this is our only location" I get that, but ANOTHER Reputable company that he could recommend. He gave us no knowledge, help, or incentives to make us come back for any future business. While I'm sure he will work this job for a few months, but made his company lose referrals and future business! (Update:Thank you Ms.Linda for addressing issue so quickly! 05/18/21) read more

Legendary Guns - I would make sure your employees are knowledgeable and respectful to Vietnam veterans! - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I am a female who knows minimal about guns.. I've shot them before but I had never bought one before and vaguely knew what I wanted (at the guidance of my dad!) I felt very nervous going in because I was worried I was going to look stupid and be talked down to.. I was helped by Dave and he was nothing but amazing. He agreed with the recommendations of my dad, and made me feel good about my purchase, and helped explain why my dad was recommending what he did. He did not talk down to me like I was expecting (being a know-nothing in a gun shop), and was extremely helpful, warm, and down to earth. I was so happy with my purchase and he talked with me about recommendations to get me comfortable with the 357 revolver I purchased, and about which ammo to use. He was so kind to me, it turned an experience I was frankly anxious about, into a great experience. This shop is further from me than a lot of gun shops, but I will still be going here for any future needs I have. I was directly helped by Dave, but everyone behind the counter was very professional and kind to everyone I saw, even though the store was insanity when I walked in! It's rare to turn a nerve-wracking experience I expected to be uncomfortable, into a really great one and I walked away feeling good & quite happy with it all! read more

This is a good store but it depends on who you run into.....some times I come in to sell stuff and get a deal right away....other times I get a person who tells me we dont want it, and I ask how do you know when you have not even heard the price? So I mention the name of the person I have sold to before and he is not there--I told them the price and then they bought. Some of these staff just don't know how to deal. They have too many chiefs in here and not enough Indians. I still after all these years know who is in charge of what. But not a bad place to go....just don't take no for an answer read more

Friendly service and decent prices. During the current drought of .22 ammo they had some and were rationing it so everyone could have some, and didn't gouge on the price. Good selection of black powder guns and supplies too. read more

Great service and still have a pretty good selection of firearms and accessories. Ammo was sparse as the rest of the country however

I took in an old Colt 45 Commander that needed some TLC. She did a fine job cleaning it up and getting it back into shape. Reasonably priced also. read more

Best Firearms dealer I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I came in for a purchase of a Henry mare's leg. Paul was very helpful and made the entire process incredibly easy. The store is super organized and clean. They have a wide selection of fire arms and despite the wide selection, the inventory never feels overwhelming or cluttered due to how perfectly organized everything is. Absolutely can not recommend this store enough. I definitely plan on making this my main fire arms dealer read more

I wanted a specific handgun not available in the Phoenix area. I found one in another state and had it delivered to Legendary Guns. We did the paperwork and clearance in about 20 minutes and that was that. Great folks I. The shop and a wonderful collection of weapons to peek at while you wait. Thanks guys! read more

Unless you were born with a gun in your hand and it shows this place does not want to have anything to do with you. Waited for about five minutes for someone to aknowledge me and didn't even get a hello. All I needed was some 556 ammo. Apparently my money is not good here!! I guess I will head down to shooters world where actually value me as a customer!!! read more

This is my favorite gun shop in Phoenix, I like to shoot some off the wall calibers and the guys in there are really knowledgeable. My most recent purchase was a Smith and Wesson 27-2 and it had to get held a little longer cause I was on a business trip and Shawn took care of me like I was family. I appreciate what everyone in the shop has done for me and am looking forward to continuing my business with this shop. I record this store for all firearm enthusiasts. read more

Shawn was super helpful, patient, and easy to talk to. I highly recommend anyone to come and ask for his help!

Today was our first trip to Legendary Guns. I'm new to firearms and needed a lot of assistance to select the right holster and high lumen flash lite. Fortunately we were helped by Shawn who was infinitely patient with our lack of knowledge. He spent a lot of time helping us to make our selections. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he didn't make me feel embarrassed that I knew so little. We're thrilled with our purchases....we know that we made the right choices for us with Shawn's guidance. Wonderful experience and we highly recommend. By the way, this was the third store we visited today and the first one that had exactly what we needed. read more

Made an appointment to have a gun appraised when we got there the person that was supposed to help us wasn't there we called ahead to make sure he was there, the people that were there just guessed at what it was worth, we drove 50 miles one way to get the appraisal so 100 mile trip for nothing. read more

That was a bad experience for me. And I felt like their boss spit in my face. I was planning to buy a glock, I already filled out all the paperwork, and one of the employees was showing me the bullets. So I look down in the glass case, and see a 1911 that was cheaper than the glock. I kindly ask if I can switch to that, cause it was friendlier on my wallet, and the boss kicks me out. That was rude, and I really wasn't trying to offend anybody. I asked nicely and the boss says "I'm not comfortable with this. You need to leave. Did you give him his ID back?" He hands me my ID and tells me to leave. I don't know what I did to deserve that kind of treatment, other than just trying to get a gun cheaper than what I was originally trying to get for financial reasons, and I get kicked out. That was a terrible experience and I feel disrespected by it. I meant no disrespect cause I wanted to buy the other one cause it was cheaper and easier on my finances. It felt like he didnt want to sell me the gun cause it was cheaper, and he didnt want me buying anything cheaper. It felt like he was being greedy, and wanted me to spend more so when I didn't he kicked me out. It felt like he just wanted to take all my money. I talked to some friends and they agreed how rude and petty the man in the store was being, and how that was bullshit, cause all I wanted to do was get something that was easier on my wallet and finances. It was unnecessary to be that way to someone over something as petty as wanting to get a cheaper gun, cause I was worried about how much of a hole it'll put in my wallet. That is the most petty thing I ever heard of. Kicking someone out and refusing to sell, cause they wanted something cheaper is petty af. That's so fuckn petty and unprofessional. I am offended, and I didn't appreciate how I was treated, all cause I was trying to get something that was easier on my finances read more

I'm not what you would call a "gun person", but I am a gun owner, so I guess that sort of makes me one... ? Anyway, I used Legendary Guns on two occasions to receive guns shipped from out of state. Both times, they didn't seem to pleased to do this. There was lots of kvetching about the paperwork. When I came in for pick up, I received lots of surliness. I don't except to be fawned over at a gun shop, but you know, some civility would be great. Three stars because some of the staff are actually really nice - it depends on if you're lucky enough to deal with them, and because they do communicate in a timely manner. I can't comment on the retail side of the business. read more

I have been here several times. I have purchased guns, traded guns and sold guns. Also purchased ammo and holsters and so on. I continue to go back because the place rocks. Great selection even during covid. I like cowboy guns so they have plenty for me, but they also have a great modern selection. read more

Love the store lots of guns and accessories to choose from and great prices! Shawn was awesome too helping me find my holster and did a little touch up on my barrel and slide all on the house read more

Nice assortment of guns and friendly professional staff. They provided honest advice on several different self defense options and offered a variety of suggestions. I didn't purchase a gun that day, but if I decide to do so I would return here for my purchase. read more

I called this place before looking at the negative reviews. The customer service and friendliness over the phone was awesome. Then I looked at Yelp for their address and noticed all the bad reviews they had. I still went to the store since they were the only store that had what I was looking for and the guy over the phone was great. I have to give these guys 5 stars. They were very attentive and friendly from the moment I walked in. The parts guy took the time to look fir what I needed in his "just received" order and found it. I will definitely come back to this store. One of the reviews I read mentioned something about a customer being treated bad because of his Tattoos... Well, if you look and dress like a thug, how do you expect to be treated? Check out this little store. You might just dind what your looking for and at a decent price. I compared prices and they do compete pretty well. read more

In the last 4 yrs I have made two purchases from Legendary Guns and will , without a doubt, order my next "Ledgendary" gun from them. As a small business these people deal with probably 95% looky-loos(?). I expect this when I stop before buying. When it's time to buy these people are serious professionals. I finally know what I want and will be placing my order, patiently, soon. Good work, Ledgendary. I'll see you soon. read more

I haven't bought a gun from this establishment but I did sell them one and was very happy with the process. I walked in later in the day and asked if they would buy a gun. They didn't ask any stupid questions like they did in other establishments: "this is yours?" "you were able to shoot this?" "why didn't get a smaller caliber gun?" They just asked why I was selling it, I explained why and that was it. This is a no nonsense shop, the gentlemen that work here are knowledgeable and respectful, we discussed which gun would be best for my needs in the future when I am ready to buy again and I will be happy to make my purchase here. read more

Awesome gunsmith! Got the rifle back from another gun shop in town that "couldn't" repair it after 6 months with them. Took it here and she had it repaired, cleaned and tested within a week! Very knowledgeable! Wonderful selection of firearms in store! read more

The only reason that I am giving one star was to be able to write a comment. This store is absolutely horrendous. Rude, disrespectful, full of themselves absolutely worse experience that we have had in a long time as paying customers. Tried to buy two handguns and soon learned that they had no interest in providing information or even selling the items. Do not go here!!!!!i I like that you respond! We tried to look at various hand guns and received responses such as ; I don't know what is over there, I don't know what the difference is, basically I can't help you and I don't care. Nice try but many other shops have discussed differences in hand Guns, lengths, brands, requirements etc All good shopped elsewhere and better prices. Big brands rule! read more

Wow, I dropped my AR-15 off, almost a month ago for a Basic Cleaning. I had completely forgotten about it and today, I remember as I have a Shooting Competition Tomorrow. So I show up, and it's sitting there on a rack labeled "Waiting"! The woman/gunsmith said she would have it cleaned and my light battery changed in 2-3 weeks. If the Gun Cleaning Demand is that high at thIs place, why, as a business owner, would you not hire more staff to complete this highly profitable service? As a Business owner, I always wonder how plaaces like this stay in business? Especially when there is a Gun Store on almost every corner in Phoenix! High Prices, Bad Service, poor attitudes, and when I opted to leave taking my uncleaned weapon with me, I was treated poorly! Don't waste your time here! No Bueno! BY THE WAY! VOLUME CREATES MORE OPERATING CAPITAL, DRIVES MORE CUSTOMERS INTO YOUR STORE, THUS INCREASING THE ODDS OF IMPULSE PURCHASES OF MAYBE GUNS, AMMO OR GEAR. IT ALSO SENDS A MESSAGE OF GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! LABOR, IS ALL PROFIT! LOL You just proved my point! read more
