Just another indoor shooting range, they up charge everything that they can of course. $5 per target, $30 per person and I guess $10 for some ear plugs. Cost me $55 for just myself, plugs and targets. Then they put my next to the wall so I couldn't shoot the left side of my $5 target because it would hit the wall, my grouping was good but it's just because I was right next to the wall. All that aside if you bring your own targets, ammo, hearing and eye protection then it's just another shooting range. Next time I'm just going to Ben Avery or something. read more

I have the best experience at Shooters World - Phoenix. This is my third visit. All the employees have been so attentive and helpful. I took a fire arm's and safety class at GCC. I received my permit to carry a concealed weapon a couple of months ago and also a USCCA member. My goal is to feel comfortable using a firearm which I've always been afraid of. Great range, but there's a handgun that when you rack the slide to put one in the chamber it fires a shot. (Did it multiple times) Did let an employee know but looked at me like I didn't know what I was doing. Hopefully that was taken serious before someone gets hurt. read more

Super fun! Issues with AR and target got us 3 free passes. Two guns and 110 rounds lasted 1hr for 3 people.

Pros: decent range prices, decent gun prices, accessories on sight, nice selection of clothes. Cons: ammo is way too expensive, no range safety people in sight (you'll see IDIOTIC and UNSAFE gun handling going on in the range by uneducated people - keep a sharp lookout), the floors are filthy, the shooting booths are in disrepair, its located in a nasty part of town, and the worst of all? Its super hot in the range. Dont go in the summer, its almost unbearable! read more

In these crazy season that we are in, we thought to take advantage of being educated in gun laws here in Arizona and we initially purchased their family package at their Peoria location. It includes CCW, Handgun I & II. Their CCW classes was a 4 hour workshop going all of the important information of the dos and dont's, the legal aspect of state/federal law, scenario's of what actually takes place around us of being learning some self defense. Alot of people, dont like this class because its strictly class time but, its probably the MOST important class to take before taking any other classes. They also help you do your background check (getting the fingerprint and paperwork together) and now, it's just going to take a little longer than it normally would to have the state send you a CCW card and get that info into their system. But, GREAT CLASS Hand gun I - was also very informative and for myself being a first time handling a gun was nerve racking! I enjoyed the shooting range, at first I was so scared because knowing me I would of made a mistake. But, I think because I was so nervous and scared, I did everything slowly and I appreciated our Instructor - she was very patient and helpful with me. My husband helped me in the beginning and instructor came around in making sure my hands were gripped the way it should be in holding a gun. After my fifth time of shooting, I was having so much fun, I didn't want it to end...lol! Ill be back for sure and I cant wait for Hand gun II classes and I will eventually be signing up for other classes they have just so that I can start learning the right and legal way of handling a gun and protecting ourselves. The employees where extremely rude when we went spent close to $200 just for them to kick us out after 30 mins of range time, then when there lane broke they where reluctant to even try to fix it! When we were done and getting our IDs back they rudely said "Are you going to get your IDs back?" And when we went to get them back she stated "I need the tags back first!" The range itself is in good condition and is fine however the employees just don't seem to want to do their jobs if I had my way I'd get a refund for that waste of money. read more

I had a poor experience several times going to this location. To echo what I have seen in prior reviews, I too, noticed that the "no rapid fire" policy is only a rule used at will. I couldnt even get 4 rounds off before some kid, was barking behind me about rapid fire. I stood there silently listening to "rapid fire" for 5 minutes and this same kid said nothing. I start again and got the same. Again, listened and heard rapid fire. I even got a little careful to count seconds between rounds for some of the ppl in there and although I heard (obvious) rapid fire this kid never spoke to them. Other experiences speak to the level of discomfort I felt just being a shopper. I felt there was this underlying apprehension with selling or giving information to people of color. I was with my girlfriend and her mom. Initially we all seemed to walk in together but separated to look at various firearms and merch. While I seemed to get a lot of informative help from one salesperson, I noticed and watched, down the counter, as my girlfriend and her mom were being given these short, non-informative answers. The same salesperson, when speaking to them, had this stoic, unwelcoming face. It was noticeable! He answered their questions like it was killing him to even speak to them. My girlfriend walked up to me and said quietly "Let's go..they dont seem to want to make a sale from us." She continued, stating "they obviously have a problem with my skin color." Sadly, I couldnt disagree and we left. Despite the knowledge the salespersons at Shooter's World seemed to have, their overall business acumen and motivation to make customers feel welcome, and offer informed information for a sale, lacks severely. It's pretty sad, we will have to go across town to Tempe just to find another range. read more

We used to think driving out to the middle of the desert was the way to go to shoot cans I had no idea what I was missing out unlimited range visits, free handgun, or rifle rentals not to mention the other discounts. It's always a great Sunday afternoon at the range. Staff is super helpful and friendly. I love my Sunday afternoons there.

A friend and I went today. They had us shooting on the same lane. I would have preferred to have my own lane. They charged us $51 for 1 hour even with our veteran and law enforcement discounts. Even though they advertise they are air conditioned it was still a bit warmer than I would have liked on the firing line. Staff were nice, but preferred to talk to themselves than to greet customers. read more

Being a member, I had to choose this range as the one on cactus was full. The difference between ranges is day and night. In this particular range, you Could tell it's an older range. It is not as clean or well organized as the one on Cactus road. I can understand why I would need to be armed in this neck Of the woods. You tend to have more long arms versus handguns. The store Itself is not very big. With this being said, this range is still Very Safe and Still functions as one. Although my lanes back n forth functions were A little off. Needles to say although I Go to the cactus Rd location, a new Range is set to open Goodyear. read more

Definitely one of the top tier ranges in Arizona for multiple reasons. First and most importantly they are very clean and COVID compliant. The customer service is well focused, knowledgeable staff can teach anyone the basic mechanics of the weapon, but most importantly how to operate it safely. Definitely a great place for first timers to go and actually experience the power behind a gun. They have everything you need to shoot; ear protection (approx. 50 cents each), eye protection ($3), targets (3 paper targets for $1) and ammo (varies based on caliber). The ammunition isn't cheap and usually runs out fast due to the worldwide shortage. However, the weakly deals tend to balance out the cost especially if you don't own a weapon: - Friday women gun rentals are free (Must purchase Shooters World ammunition) - Tuesday everyone's gun rentals are free (Must purchase Shooters World ammunition) It is a big space with multiple lanes which means the wait is never really that long. On the days where there are deals such as Tuesday and Friday, the high caliber weapons are rented out fast, so if you had a specific gun in mind I suggest you get there earlier! Decided to go to Shooter's while visiting Phoenix for my birthday. It was ladies night so the session was free, I only had to buy ammunition. I was a little nervous, but The gentleman went over everything so I felt comfortable. There was no wait time so that was a plus. I had on acrylic nails so it was difficult for me to load the ammunition so I didn't stay long as I got frustrated. I need to work on my aim, but I had a great time. read more

What better way to celebrate my new residency here in AZ and fourth of July than heading to the gun range with my family. With a father whose been to gun ranges before, brother's interest in airsoft and my mother and I's lack in anything gun related- let alone having experience touching one Shooter's World made the experience enjoyable for our differences in experience. Since it was Friday, they had specials for ladies- meaning free rentals, just pay for ammo. We got a run through with gun safety and picked out our guns. We were shown how to load our firearms and it was direct and easy to learn. My father and brother decided on the Daniel Defense AR (5.56 x 30rd PMAG Eotech) then tried out my gun of choice a S&W M&P 9mm. For 3 people- including me with free rental the cost was about $80-90 with ammo for both firearms. Eyewear, hearing protection and many lanes made the experience feel a lot more safe along with a monitor patrolling the lanes to make sure everything is going well. There are also two sets of doors for added safety. The only con was probably having the handgun jam up on me a couple times, having me to check the ammo every time it did jam. However that could just be a fault on my part. All in all, I can't wait to come back for ladies night on Friday's and try out their other firearms. read more

Ok so In all fairness I went on a very busy day. Friday is ladies day so it was packed! The thing I notice is that they are under staffed. The phone was ringing off the hook, one person to answer, the staff was all over the place. The only sane person was the seller of the guns but he wasn't too busy. I finally got some help but I didn't get to rent any guns. I was hoping I could try a few before buying but they have a buddy system. Which means you have to go with someone, unfortunately I just moved here so no friends yet. I had no choice but to hire a private instructor but that was also hard to do. I'm going to give it another chance of course and like I said, in all fairness it was a very busy day. read more

Wife and I came here and spent an hour of shooting. Everyone was very nice and got things done really quick. Equipment was top notch, and prices were reasonable. I do believe they could have lower prices on ammo, but I get it. They have you by the nads when you run out and want to still shoot. Planning to use them for classes for my wife in the future.
