Continues to be a great place to shoot. Good customer service too. Still a pain in the a** to fill out the online disclaimer. I filled it out online at home before going in. Had to do it over when I got there because my first name Jim did not match my driver's license James (not my real names). Took me 3 more tries, software kept giving my errors without telling me what's wrong. Then there's no indication at the conclusion telling you it was submitted ok. I've been going to this business for a very long time and actually used to have a membership. I typically know the managers. Today I went in there to shoot a new firearm and made a simple mistake when I placed the firearm down on the counter, I had it angled, more towards the stall next to me and as their policy, which I totally understand is always to have the fire on pointed down range. I did empty the magazine and had it sitting there and was having several malfunctions with the firearm. A young lady came in, said that I need to point it forward and before I could even react, she reached across me to grab my firearm. I knocked her hand out of the way and didn't allow her to touch my firearm, and this has turned into her saying that's my job I said well you should've gave me the verbal command and allowed me to correct the problem, not reached for my firearm, which is having malfunctions and there was no way for her to know the condition of the firearm and what which it was in if it was chambered or in the middle of a malfunction. My reaction has a martial arts teacher, and somebody who teaches these type of techniques my reaction to not allow her to touch my firearm was simply a reaction. Next thing I know I'm talking to a manager and the next thing I know I have a really terrible supervisor calling me being extremely rude. He kept saying are you just gonna repeat yourself or let me talk. I mean the guy was so ridiculously unprofessional. He says well I watch the video. I said well if you watch the video, you will see exactly what I said is what happened. i've been in this place many many times without any issues. Nobody should be reaching for my firearm. I don't care where I'm at. The firearm has not been cleared or checked in any capacity by her she should not have reached for it. Then at the end of Eddie says because of my attitude and what I did he's gonna ask that I don't go back to any of the stores anymore. This is mind blowing. Professional disgusting display of leadership when dealing with something as serious as a firearm. Firearm safety would indicate the last thing you should be doing is grabbing somebody's firearm without issuing them a verbal command and asking them to correct the issue. I would acknowledge that the girl touching my firearm or not touching my firearm policy. I know my rights as a person more than that I know firearm safety apparently better than them because not once did he acknowledge that she should not have reached for the firearm. This is the most ridiculous Mickey Mouse execution of management I've ever seen in my life. As a business owner myself and my wife as a business owner, you'd be surprised how much business I send their way. Believe me this will never happen again and it's not a vendetta. It's because what happened today was extraordinarily unsafe and that is not how business could talk themselves. Just by paying my money to use the space Does not give you the right to place your hands on my firearm. I can't imagine what could happen if she would have reached over and hit the trigger and perhaps there was one in the chamber and it went off. This is very scary and I will never send people their way again. read more

I've been to a few shooting ranges in various states and this is one of my favorites. The establishment is clean, they have firearms to rent, ammo, targets, etc. You sign a waiver prior to entering, pay your fees, and you can use the range. When signing the waiver go to one who has a scanner, definitely speeds up the check in process. We usually do 1 hour at a time. They obviously take safety very seriously and will monitor behaviors. The climate is comfortable and can be on the cooler side. As you shoot you can broom your shells into the range. Fun to go by yourself, family, or date nights. Children 6+ are welcome. read more

I had a private lesson yesterday with Ben Cartwright and it couldn't have gone better. He patiently helped me find the correct pistol to buy as I'd previously purchased one elsewhere that I'm physically unable to shoot because my hands are too small to pull the trigger. On the range, Ben showed me what I was doing right as well as where I can improve. It was a positive experience for me, even though I know very little about shooting. Ben is always calm, affirming and attentive. I've had many teachers over the years in many genres, so I know a great teacher when I get one. I highly recommend Ben to any shooter at any stage, but especially people like me, a true beginner. the Goodyear location is just right off the highway and pretty convenient for anyone looking to shoot in the West Valley. Friendly staff, great selection of firearms, ammo and gear but i mainly come here to utilize the indoor range. There are many lanes to occupy and the process to start shooting is seamless. Shooter's World offers everything you need to start shooting from eye protection to targets to firearm rentals. If you have everything, you certainly can utilize your personal equipment. At first I was happy shopping and dealing with shooters world as the customer service was great with the first couple of employees that seem to have moved on and are no longer working there. Justin used to take care of all my transactions and was great along with (Dane or Dwayne don't recall the name exactly). But unfortunately my last 2 visits were absolutely horrible first was the new management with the range in Peoria making you feel like you are being hounded of what to do in the range and acting as if you have 0 knowledge of what you are doing. Second time was picking up a ffl transfer. Absolutely horrible and rude customer service from the Manager Eddie and the man with glasses at the counter who was supposedly a supervisor/manager in the Goodyear location. Management is no longer professional and attitudes are arrogant and cocky know it alls. I hope someone from upper management reaches out to me and provides a call back number because I'd love to share the experience. read more

I was contacted by management and was pleased with the interaction with corp management that addressed the issue I had encountered. I've been coming to this location since shortly after they opened, and the Peoria location for several years before that. I bring my wife to use the range, we've bought firearms from both locations, etc. The facility itself is clean and organized. There have been some red flags that have concerned me in the last couple of years. The waiver frequency had gone from annual to quarterly. Annoying, but whatever. However, the contact information required on the waiver is intrusive and unnecessary. I've already given over my driver's license with my address, why do they need a phone number, occupation, and email address? Last night, as I was filling out the form, it would not allow me to proceed without giving an email address. When I asked an employee how to proceed if I didn't have an email address, the young man at the counter looked around blankly before suggesting I enter a friend's. I am unwilling to violate a friend's privacy and unhappy about being asked to compromise my own when I have already provided state issued identification. The employee could not offer any other suggestions, and so I was unable to use the range facilities....for lack of an EMAIL ADDRESS?! Again, the facility is clean and organized, but the waiver is intrusive and discriminatory against anyone uncomfortable with handing out personal information or with technology. The employees, at least yesterday, were also poor problem solvers. Suggestions: Safety waivers are necessary, but remove the demand for personal information not relevant to the task. There are a few points to update on my original review. After speaking with management, most of the issues were resolved. I spoke to the head instructor and after answering some questions we were allowed to take the advanced pistol classes. The class was great our teacher ed did a great job. We just got out of our personal class as they do not offer the shotgun class at this time. The class was good. Pete was thorough and we learned a lot. Now for the not so good. While in our shotgun class I was informed that I had only paid for an hour and was asked to pay for the other half. I told Pete I paid what the girl on the phone told me to pay. She didn't ask any questions. It's constant issues like this that keep shooter's world from getting 5 stars. As for the 10% coupon for the firearm, they sort of honored it. The same gun counter employee was whatever about it. Just kept it strictly about the pickup and purchase. No apology, nothing. I got about $120 back on a $1900 dollar purchase. As you can see not quite 10% but better than nothing. So I keep my recommendation of coming here but know that you may run into issues that will need to be resolved. read more

1Star experience Walked in was greeted by a friendly women at front desk then after that down hill. Was approached by a man short black hair and beard and the bad experience begins. I ask him if they have any barrels for a sig and he sarcastically responds with no! I don't carry small parts because I have to order for you and then the next guy wants this and then the next guys wants that and he continues to ramble on then it ends ...so I don't stock small parts. Ok........... So then I start looking at the pistols to see if they have what I've been looking for. The pistols are behind a sliding glass door. So I asked the the same guy if they were locked or if I may slide it open to see them. He walks over bothered that I'm requesting to see a pistol. Then proceeds to say I don't want you touching them you might have a loaded magazine. Um... ok.... I do not have a loaded magazine Then I am now aloud to touch the Pistol So I am checking it out like any experienced firearm purchaser would checking the slide, barrel, spring, Fcu trigger etc... then he says I'd rather you not be doing that. I'm done... I hand it back to him and let him know he is something else. I'm sorry but as a customer this location let me down big time!!! Is this location a art gallery to just view or are you selling firearms???? I go into this location cash in hand looking for a P320 AXG and a X5 and they happen to have them and I deal with this kind of guy? I'm not spending my hard earned money dealing with some rude snob. First time to this location and it will be my last! I'm a simple customer I walk in. I know what I want and have the money to spend on it. All I need to do is check the fire arm for proper function. This Shooter's World is new and beautiful! The pistol and rifle areas are separate, which I really appreciate. I like that each lane has a control screen that tells you the time you have left to shoot, and I also like that on that control screen you can specifically indicate how far you want your target to be.
