The staff is quite competent and efficient. They have ammo or you can bring your own. Prices are reasonable and Fridays, women shoot free. Very safe operations with a two door entrance/exit range door. Sufficient staff on range to ensure safe shooting. Great place to shoot inside. read more

I should be going here weekly for things like Test it Tuesday and Ladie's Day Friday. A year or two ago I decided I wanted to get a concealed carry weapon, and I was interested in the Hellcat. Thanks to renting firearms I learned the Hellcat was just not for me. I bought some range passes too, but I never used them because I purchased tattoos instead. I brought my passes on Sunday, and it was one lane for three of us and I got three punches. One person in my party brought four firearms, one being my new interest. An hour goes by pretty quickly, so I did tell my friend I was thinking about getting a membership this year. We have a plan to go on Fridays so that I can get more comfortable in my abilities. It is good that they let you do your own thing, but they are also there to help if you need it. I just need more range time, so that should be happening this year. I saw posts saying there is never a familiar person behind the counter, but I hope they were wrong. I really like that I can rent a firearm to see how I like it before I go out and purchase it, I mean you can't really exchange firearms like you would exchange clothes, or can you? read more

Refused to process a transfer of a new shotgun that was shipped to their Peoria facility. Despite my having AZ LE credentials, being a local homeowner (with documentation) and driving a vehicle with AZ license plates, they would not process the transfer because I do not have an AZ drivers license. They are clearly not following AZ State and Federal policies simply claiming that it is against their corporate policy. This is definitely NOT a Second Amendment friendly company. It appears that there has been some miscommunication regarding this event since this transfer is most definitely not Michigan based, in fact has nothing to do with the State of Michigan or any hunting activities. I have been going to shooters world for a long time, I also have hundreds of hours of training under some of the best instructors in Arizona and the country, including a SWAT trainer from Glendale. The last two times I've been to range, Peoria I've been told I'm drawing from my holster. I do put my handgun back in my holster when I am not shooting, checking the hits on my target reloading. I pull my gun out of my holster, I stopped at low ready for quite a few seconds then I raised my pistol and I do my drill. The last two times I've been there. I've been told I'm drawing from my holster and I can't do that. Today a young man told me that just pulling. My gun from my holster is drawing by their rules. Well, I've looked online and I can't find anywhere where it says that number one, or they don't offer any rules online number two. The people that work there are courteous and kind, but because of their rules, I can no longer holster my gun I have to keep it on the counter. I will no longer be going back. They need to make their rules public like Avery and other ranges do so you know how to act while you're there. You have lost another customer. But I'm sure they won't care. read more

My husband and I came here because I wanted to rent the S&W 380 to try out. You are also allowed to bring your own firearms. If it's your first time you have to fill out a quick disclosure form and then you're ready to go. You can buy the paper targets here for a few bucks. They require eye and ear protection so make sure to bring your own or you can purchase there. All the people who work here are amazing! Really impressed by how much time they take to spend explaining/showing different guns to you. I've been looking to purchase a new firearm and the workers here have provided the best customer service by far. Minus 1 star because if you rent their guns you must purchase their ammo and it's expensive! I understand that ammo is more expensive currently due to decreased supply and increased demand, but it was over $80 for a box of 50 ammo for the 380. Overall we had a great experience and felt very safe. They make safety a priority. Will be back again for sure! read more

I've only met a couple times but it's always a great experience. People are very friendly and knowledgeable. I like the way the place is run. Kind of place I'd like to work. If you're new to guns, you absolutely have to go on Tuesdays. The range is only $10 an hour and you can borrow any gun for free as long as you buy the ammo to match it. Everyone's very knowledgeable. They definitely need you to yourself if you know what you're doing and our quick to help if you ask. I feel like where you stand at the range could be better lit but I'm 55 years old so it might be a ME problem. read more

It was a very busy night. I went with my brother. My mother and my wife. The staff was very considerate and knowledgeable about their product and help us get into the shooting range faster by informing us that we can sign our waivers. Online. The range was very cleand easy to manage. Ladies night covered 2 of us and the price is 30 per adult w/o membership so we saved 60 dollars as well. Free rentals as well for Fridays so that is something we'll need to do next time. TLDR fun night of shooting in a clean environment with discounted rates. read more

Being a member of this range for 2 yes was ok.My membership annually skyrocketed on the following year. They wanted $350.00 per year. Now that's OK if you just want to shoot per se. Some of their ranges are nice. Some are just yuch. I had to knave them because I found a much better range C2 Tactical that only charges me $228.00 a year. It has computerized ranges that have so many shooting configurations. In addition they are so clean and staff is very friendly. Also offers shooting packages and TRAINING is more diversified. This 2nd time around was even better and a day to remember as surprisingly my 10 year old asked me to take him for his birthday. The staff gave great recommendations for calibers and firearms best suitable for his first time. Seamless process due to completing the waiver prior to showing up. I struggled trying to figure out how many stars I wanted to give this place and ultimately ended up with 4, but I'd kind of rather give them a 3.5. Still, I'll be nice and round up. Right off the bat, I'm going to ding them a star because I don't like the treat all shooters as dumb criminals when they come in routine. The worker behind the counter wasn't the friendliest, he actually seemed like he hated life, and then he went through all my stuff for an inspection to make sure everything was range friendly/appropriate. I understand why they have to do this, it just left me with a dirty feeling that makes me not want to shoot here. But, it's close to home so I guess I just allow myself to have that violated feeling. Outside of being violated and looking up my skirt, these guys have a very nice in-store selection from clothes to accessories to bullets to hardware. I can't speak for their pricing since I tend to do all my firearm-related shopping on Gunbroker and other sites, but I still like the selection that they have in store. I also like that they seem to have a pretty wide range of gun rentals, which is super convenient so you can try before you buy. Actually, speaking of, Tuesdays is "Test-It-Tuesday" so range prices are half price ($10/hr/person at the time of this writing) and gun rentals are free, but you have to purchase their ammo for the rentals. Their range is very clean and will keep you out of the hot AZ sun and they allow most rifles, but it's super short (I'm almost positive it's less than 25 yards long) so you'll have to get more creative to work on your rifle marksmanship. For example, you can do a 10 yard zero which is supposed to be equivalent to a 50/200 zero and you can find targets by googling "10 yard zero target." I also like that they offer a wide range of classes including women's only classes, basic firearms handling and maintenance, and CCW. They also have Ladies Day on Fridays, which means ladies get to shoot and rent guns for free. I love getting more women involved with firearms for a multitude of reasons, so I love that they are so welcoming and encouraging of women shooters. Outside of the dirty feeling I get when they go through your stuff to shoot and the short range, this place is solid and I recommend them. read more

Took women's handgun 1 & 2. Recently got my CCW. At first I was scared, nervous and excited. Now I enjoy going to the range almost ever weekend with my husband. Im comfortable and confident holding, loading and shooting a gun. Never ever thought this would happen. The trainers are just amazing. I was asked to take a Vietnam Veteran shooting. He wanted to shoot an M-14, like he carried in Vietnam, one more time. He has cancer and doesn't have much time left. I came here with my son, his girlfriend, and my son's friend. We specifically came to the shooting range. The store is clean with a lot of different things regarding shooting, guns, ammo, and apparel. They have a nice variety. Probably something for everyone. Quickly walking past the store, we headed to the check-in for the range. Just read and sign the paper, show proper I.D., and wait for your turn. They provide safety glasses and ear muffs, which you must wear before walking in. Even with the ear muffs, some guns' fire still sounds really loud! I don't have much of any experience with shooting real guns, I think the first and last one I had shot was over 20 years ago. However, back in the late 80s to early 90s, I was a pro at Nintendo's Duck Hunt game! I think that between Duck Hunt and maybe some natural ability, I was a pretty good shot. Not the best, but not too bad. I got a nice quick bit of instructions from my son's friend and was ready to shoot! We all took turns shooting 2 different rifles and a handgun. The range was kept as clean as could be. When guests are done with their lane, they are supposed to use the supplied broom and sweep the spent shells forward past the firing line. We were firing close to when the range would be closing and the Range Officers were cleaning up, sweeping and putting up fresh boards to hang the targets on. TIP: Watch out for spent shells as you walk or your foot might slip on one. I prefer the plain targets (bullseye and human silhouette). I didn't really care for the Zombie one, it was a little graphic and hard to tell where your shot hit. This place is in an industrial area, great location. The staff is friendly and helpful. First time at a shooting range so I have nothing to compare it to but I had a really good experience. My husband brought his own guns and you have to buy bullets. Easy and smooth to get in. I think it's expensive but again, nothing to compare to. It was cool that they let ladies in for free on Fridays. Clean, open, and bright atmosphere. It was pretty packed inside and no where to sit with how many people were in there while you take turns shooting if you go with a group. I liked that they had people from all walks of life there. My SGC membership was about to expire and I live half a mile from Shooter's World, decided to check out a possibly convenient local range. Not going to be going there for 2 reasons. 1. They have a rule that an AK pistol requires a brace to be shot. I explained to the employee that the ATF's rules changed and that's now illegal. She said that Shooter's World's rules have not changed and that's still the policy. Well sorry, but I don't want to spend 10 years in prison just to be able to shoot here. 2. In order to rent a firearm you must have a partner here. Is this an elementary school bathroom? I go shooting about 3 times per month and half the time I'm alone.
