Went in for a pen and weld for an ar build. I was unsure if they would work on it since the website says they specialize on ak platforms. They were able to do the pen and weld for me and were relatively quick. It only took 2 working days, they are closed on the weekends. I was worried that the weld wouldn't look good after looking at pen and welds on google. Kilo did an amazing job and left the weld very clean looking. They did not blue it, I was hoping they would leave it silver so it's easier to see so it doesn't bother me. I also own a few akm rifles and was looking for a cleaning rod. They had one in stock and sold it to me for a reasonable price. I will be returning for any gun smithing work or ak parts since most places don't have them or don't want to order them. I dropped off a shotgun to have a new part installed. Turns out I needed another new part, all good, not their fault. Anyways, I just didn't have the time for the new part to be shipped in, as I'm moving soon, so I picked it up because the timeframe wasn't working out. No work had been done on the gun. I was charged $62. No work was done. If I wasn't moving, I woulda been happy to pay labor fees, wait for the parts, all that jazz, but unfortunately I had to pick it up. Dropped off firearm to be cerakoted, told 6-8 weeks. Called at 8 weeks was told they were busy and had other guns but mine was next, 1 or 2 more weeks. At 11 weeks I picked up my gun without being done. Disappointed. Everyone is every industry is busy, but you should never over promise and under deliver and then treat the customer like it's their fault. I had ordered an XDs 9mm and had it sent to Kilo Guns. I messaged them via Facebook and let them know I was having a handgun sent there and that I wanted it Cerakoted a specific way. They immediately said they were cool with it and would let me know when the firearm arrived, they also sent me a copy of their FFL (which was required to make an online firearm purchase). A couple days later my handgun arrived and they sent me a picture to verify. They than began right away on cerakoting it. I got an "in progress" picture of them painting the lower polymer parts of my gun. Just a few days later they let me know it was ready to pick up. When I came by to pick up my handgun, I had forgotten that since I am Active Duty Military, my Arizona ID didn't have my current address. They told me to run to walmart and pick up a cheap fishing license and that would suffice. By the time I got the license they were closed. The guy at Kilo Guns told me he was coming back to the shop late at night and that I could meet him. I met up with him around 9pm to pick up my firearm, the quality is amazing and I will most definitely be doing business with them in the future. Thanks again guys! read more

I would not trust them with a potato gun! I dropped off my 1959 revolver to see if it needed a new hand. After a 3 week wait I contacted them because I had not heard back. They informed me it indeed needed a hand and would be a 10 week wait. I being unwilling to wait that ling asked for my pistol back. Upon receiving it I noticed severe damage to the cylinder done purposefully. most likely out of spite because I was unhappy with their wait time and poor customer service! I highly recommend going somewhere else. I brought in a scope and was given a two week turn around time. Every two weeks I would call and it was just being started. This happened three times. After two months I finally got my scope back! The finish is poor, uneven and chalky. There are spots where the finish on the turrets has been rubbed off. There are also fiber optic inserts on the turrets that were damaged. Some parts that were never even supposed to be coated were completely covered. This has been a very disappointing experience. read more

KILO Guns finally responded to the BBB Complaint. Here is my reply. 1. When I brought the pistol in the Service I requested was to have the pitting removed from the slide and the slide re-blued. I also asked that the rear sight be buffed. The invoice states "refinish" the slide, which includes removing the pitting and bringing the slide finish back to new condition. a. We talked specifically about removing the pitting before re-bluing the slide 2. On 1st inspection the bluing was so light that the pitting was still visible, Wyatt stated the finish should be better. There was NO DOUBT that KILO Guns did not provide the service requested. 3. "Waiting for a batch to proceed" IF Wyatt had said it could take 6 months, I would not have left the firearm AND they took 8 MONTHS,...not forgetting they gave it back in 2 handfuls of parts 4. May 10th, 2018 Wyatt said the pistol still isn't done. I stated that I wanted to take the pistol back to ND. Wyatt promised to send the pistol to me in ND. a. No call, email or pistol was sent as promised, I was in ND for 5 weeks 5. Friday - 6/22, Wyatt showed me the slide and as soon as I started talking about the EXCESSIVE timeframe he walked away and wouldn't put my pistol together or try to apologize for the poor service. I stated I brought the pistol in complete and I want it back complete so I left 6. Monday - 6/25, when I called for an update Wyatt said it wasn't put back together, I told him I was on my way to pick it up a. Upon arriving, no one came to the front of the shop and my pistol was in more pieces sitting in a box b. Wyatt was watching me behind their mirror. I did raise my voice to make sure he could hear everything I said about Poor Service, broken promises, excessive time and accountability. AT NO TIME did I ever pound my fist on the counter c. When the employee finally came out, it was only to say leave or they would call the police. I told him great call them so I can tell & show them your poor service. As soon as I stepped just outside the door he slammed the door. d. With 2 handfuls of parts I stood next to the door yelling how poor their service was and that they don't deserve to be in the gun business e. I DID NOT HURRY to my vehicle, especially with all the small parts that could be dropped. f. I DID stop at the front door while in my vehicle and did yell more about their LACK of Service and that they have not heard the last from me. (The Police never came because I waited on the street to talk to them) To ALL AZ Shooters, PLEASE steer clear of KILO GUNS....they DON'T Deserve your business. read more

After getting it and playing with if for a few months, I was back at his place having him build me two more. I run my guns hard and his take all the hell I give them. Spoke to the owner Wyatt about looking at one of my long range rifles. He said to bring it in and they would be able to start working on it within a week. Dropped the gun off and didn't hear anything after two weeks. Called and was told they were going to get started on my rifle in the next few days and someone would call me with what they had found. Another week passed by and nothing. Called and was told that the person that worked on my gun was off that day and when he comes in tomorrow he would call and let me know what was going on. Few more days passed and nothing. Finally after 5 weeks of waiting and getting the run around I decided to pick up my gun as is. I went in and asked for my gun, took them about 10 minutes to find it and finally when I asked what they found I was told they had a "big order" to fill and hadn't had time to work on it. Took our 20 gauge in to fix shell extractor problem. Justin quoted $80 if parts were needed,and $40 if just repairs. Six weeks later he called and said "all taken care of" and "shouldn't be seeing any more problems". When we questioned him what repairs were made, he revealed none were made. He admitted he only cleaned it and couldn't get it to replicate the problem. The bill was $80! We questioned how it could be that high when he quoted that amount for repairs and parts! He stuck with the $80 bill. Really? Six weeks and $80 dollars for a cleaning. How was it "all taken care of"? By doing no repairs of any kind? They seem dishonest, or take their customers for idiots. I would never recommend them for any service of any kind. read more

I got my Glock 43 Cerakoted here as a gift for my wife and I couldn't be happier with the job. The colors came out better than I expected and Wyatt was very helpful in helping me pair the colors. I originally wanted a lighter silver for the slide but he suggested a different, darker silver color and it actually looks much better than I expected. The paint job is smooth, even, and bright. When it comes to weapons, you should be very selective. After careful research and some visits around town to a few shops, I came back to Kilo Guns to handle business. Not only is the attention to detail in customer service better than the rest, the small shop gives you that personal touch that makes you feel like your questions and work requests are always a top priority. The place is easily accessible and there's plenty of parking. If there's something outside the scope of what the shop can do, they have excellent references for other places but mostly, Kilo takes care of everything just fine. Kilo guns does not deserve a one star rating. Wyatt is trash and that's being nice. I don't know how this guy manages to stay in business. If you feel like being ripped off or waiting months for empty promises then Wyatt from Kilo Guns is your guy. I ordered the AK 103 from his web site. I must've reached out to him at least 6 to 8 times and he told me the same thing every time please understand I'm backed up and thanks for your patience. After 4 months Wyatt tells me he did not like how the paint came out so he had to do it again. Fast forward 2 months the Jack ass sent me a picture of my build which was not even the correct color scheme on top of that they didn't even have the correct rails on it. Wyatt said he would fix it. Fast forward one month still no word for him. I sent him an email asking for a refund with no response. My payment was close to $2500 and I have nothing to show for it. I've been going to Wyatt and Kilo Guns going on three years now, for numerous transfers and purchases (favorite being the Kilo Guns MP5-N). I brought in my Zastava I had due to several issues, FTF, receiver alignment, and 2 rounds down range per trigger pull. Upon initial inspection Wyatt found several parts that had been modified incorrectly by the previous owner along with issues with the receiver itself. I was told that i had to options a rebuild on a new receiver with new parts for the damaged pieces or try and rebuild on the current receiver with new parts and correct the issues which would be more money out of my pocket. I chose to rebuild on a new Kilo Guns receiver and could not be happier. I am yet to have any issues like i experienced with my previous AK. The fit and finish are perfect. I refuse to go anywhere or trust my firearms anywhere else than with Wyatt and Kilo Guns. read more

So I was referred to this gun store wannabe by a very reputable shop in town. I called them before wasting my time driving there. My honest opinion is that any store should train personnel or hire trained personnel. The guy that answered the phone was a complete waste of space. I tried explaining to him what I needed which was an RMR and was inquiring about at least 5 times. I think he finally understood what I was referring to and said no. Before hanging up I heard him say that they do some other stuff which is not even related to what I inquired about. Complete waste of 5 minutes on the phone. Thank God I called and didnt waste my time driving. Then look at the response from management, "Thick Accent" sounds like a racist comment to cover up a mistake. If you want exact details the employee that answer the phone sounded like he was on a 420 cloud. Sorry, cant speak with that accent. But instead of using racist comments to use as an excuse, management should take the time to train employees on their products and the line of work they do. Shop owner should give management some diversity training to avoid racist comments as the one left by the shop manager. read more
